A/N: Guest: Thank you :). I don't blame Aisha, Kali, Kopa, and Chaka either for being suspicious of Kovu. I do agree that they should talk to Kovu and Kiara. That would at least lower their suspicions and paranoia. And you are very welcome my friend. I enjoy responding to people's reviews. And thank you, I will stay safe.

Anyways, here is Chapter 29 for you all! As always, go to Chapter 1 for disclaimers. Without further or do, here is Chapter 29.

Chapter 29: Siblings' Bond

Later that evening Chaka, Kopa, Aisha, and Kali had decided to spend the entire evening together. Aisha and Kali had approached Chaka and Kopa earlier that afternoon and asked if they spend the evening together until the sun is fully down and the night sky is showing. At this time, Chaka, Kopa, Aisha, and Kali had reached the area that Chaka and Kopa stargazed when they were only two months old. "This is a good place to spend the evening together," Kopa said, sitting down on the same spot he laid down when he stargazed with his brother when they were only two months old.

"Well we've been here only twice Kopa," Chaka said with a grin.

"That's very true," Kopa said. "But still. This is my favorite area to stargaze at."

"It's my favorite too," Chaka said. "Afterall this was the area that was nicer to stargaze during Scar's reign. There was nowhere else to stargaze since the Pride Lands had no grass and water."

"Well there's now grass and water," Kopa pointed out. "But this area remains as my favorite area to stargaze at."

"Mine too," Chaka said.

"Well if this is the place then let's settle here," Kali said, sitting down as well as Aisha. "So that we can discuss some stuff since no one is around watching or eavesdropping us."

"Well," Chaka began as he looked around to see if anyone was around or eavesdropping. As he looked, he saw no signs of other lions around. "Looks like no one is around. We can start to discuss things now."

"Are you sure that there's no one around?" Kopa asked, still looking around.

"Yeah," Chaka replied. "I mean if there were other lions around then we would be seeing them right now."

"Well I'm gonna check the bushes to see if anyone is there eavesdropping us," Kopa said, going to the nearby bush. As he got there, he checked to see if anyone was there. And no one was there. "No one's here. But I'm still gonna check the other bushes around us."

"Well I mean I doubt that there's anyone hiding there eavesdropping us," Aisha said as Kopa went to the other bushes to see if anyone was hiding there. "If they were then we'd be screwed. We would have to run."

"No one is hiding behind the bushes," Kopa said after finishing looking behind the bushes. "So we're good. We can discuss what we need to discuss right now."

"So Aisha and Kali," Chaka began as he and Kopa sat down beside each other and facing their younger sisters. "Since you guys asked us to spend the evening together what would you like to talk about?"

"Well," Kali began. "You see Chaka the reason why we asked you both to spend the rest of the evening together is that we haven't even done this at all. We thought it would be nice for the four of us to spend some quality time together ya know?"

"Ah I see," Kopa said, now getting why his sisters wanted to spend time with him and his brother. "But what about Kiara though? Wouldn't it be nice for her to come too?"

"We tried looking for her a few hours ago," Aisha said. "But we couldn't find her. So we gave up hopes and just went to you too."

"Kiara's been gone the whole day," Chaka said with worry. "I wonder where she's been the whole day."

"She's probably spending the day with Kovu," Kopa suggested. "I mean she did tell me that he wasn't harmful so I guess she's probably spending time with him."

"Well let's just hope that Kovu did nothing to her," Chaka said with a scowl.

"I don't think he did honestly," Kopa said. "So far we haven't heard anything. So I think Kiara is fine."

"Yeah let's just hope that she's fine," Chaka muttered. "If she isn't then there are going to be problems."

"Well if we do hear something and if it's trouble then we have to go check it out," Kali said. "But like Kopa said nothing has happened so far."

"Agreed," Aisha piped up. "But Chaka and Kopa me and Aisha would like to talk to you guys about something."

"Yeah sure," Kopa said with a smile. "What is it?"

"Well Kopa," Aisha began. "Me and Kali would like to know what parenthood is like. For me, it's quite fun and enjoyable for being with my son."

"Parenthood can be quite tough," Kopa said. "My son can be stubborn at times. But since he's still a cub and he's still learning. But overall parenthood has been fun for me."

"Same with me," Chaka said with an agreement. "Keesha can be stubborn too but as Kopa said, cubs still have a lot of growing and learning to do. Parenthood has been really enjoyable for me. I just wished that I had a childhood as Keesha did honestly."

"I know how you feel bro," Kopa said, feeling bad that his brother had a terrible childhood. "I also wished I had a better childhood too. Scar had to ruin our childhood."

"Well he's gone now," Kali pointed out. "So you both can finally relax and chill."

"That's very true," Chaka said, thankful that his tyrant father was gone for good. "At least I won't have father use me as a tool like he used to. He could rot in hell for all I care."

"So Kali," Kopa began now looking at Kali. "I'd like to know what parenthood is like for you. I mean you are a single mother with Nadra so me and Chaka would like to know what it's like being a single mother to Nadra."

"It's been tough," Kali said with a sigh. "It's tough. Being single and raising a child on your own has been hard for me. When Nadra is out with her friends I've been trying to look for a father figure for her. I just can't raise Nadra alone."

"Wait you've been looking for a step-dad for her?" Kopa asked his eyes wide.

"Yeah," Kali replied with a sigh. "I can't raise my daughter alone. I feel lonely at times. I want to spend time with someone I can spend the rest of my life with. I do enjoy spending time with you guys and mom and dad and even Kiara but I want to spend time with someone I can spend the rest of my life with. It's just been rough for me."

"Well," Kopa began. "I mean was that why you went on a walk earlier today?"

"I'd like to know too," Chaka chimed in, also curious. "You did look a bit upset earlier when you were talking to me and Kopa earlier today."

"Yeah," Kali replied with another sigh. "That was why I went on a walk earlier today."

"No wonder you went out for a walk today," Kopa said, now knowing why Kali had gone on a walk earlier today.

"Man I feel bad for you Kali," Chaka said. "I really do. I mean it must be hard for you to not spend time with another lion."

"It is hard," Kali said. "It truly is. I do love my daughter with all of my heart but it's just... not enough ya know?"

"I know how you feel Kali," Chaka said. "But I have a question for you. Did you find a lion earlier today on your walk you could talk to?"

"Yes I did," Kali said, surprising her siblings.

"You did?" Kopa said his eyes wide.

"Yep," Kali replied with a nod. "I did in fact find a lion I could talk to."

"What's this lion's name?" Kopa asked.

"His name was Jelani," Kali said.

"What did he look like?" Chaka asked.

"He had a golden-brown coat," Kali began. "Had golden eyes and a golden-brown mane. And he was also handsome." Kali tried her best not to blush as she thought of Jelani when she first met him earlier that day.

"I'd like to meet him," Kopa said firmly. "When do you meet him again?"

"We meet before sunrise tomorrow," Kali confirmed. "It's the same area I walked to earlier today."

"Where is that area exactly?" Kopa asked, eyeing his sister.

"It's near the Pride Land border and desert," Kali said. "That was where I was at when I met Jelani."

"Alright then," Kopa said after taking in the information. "Tell Jelani I want to meet him when I get there."

"When will you meet Jelani Kopa?" Kali asked.

"I will meet him first before heading to the gorge to visit my father's grave," Kopa said. "That way I can see who you are interacting with."

"But you better not tell mom or dad that I'm interacting with an outsider," Kali growled. "Otherwise I will kill you."

"Mom and Simba won't hear it from me," Kopa promised. "I don't tell secrets to them anyways. So you're secret is safe Kali."

"You had better not tell them," Kali growled, still not trusting her brother. "I've gotten in trouble a bunch of times because of Penda telling my damn secrets."

"He also got me in trouble for saying my secrets out loud," Aisha said with a scowl, remembering how her boyfriend would get her in trouble for saying her secrets out loud. "Damn I wish I could kill him for saying my secrets out loud."

"Yeah," Kali also said with a scowl. "Damn looking back at them I wish I could tear Penda a new one."

"I think we should talk about something else now," Kopa said, not wanting to talk about the same topic anymore. "I really don't wanna talk about the same topic anymore. Let's talk about something new."

"I agree," Chaka said, also wanting to change the topic. "Let's talk about something else."

"Well, what do you guys want to talk about now?" Kali asked.

"We should honestly talk about how damn paranoid we are becoming right now," Kopa said.

"Paranoid?" Kali said with confusion. "Kopa, what are you talking about?"

"Remember how we were talking shit about Kovu when he first came here?" Kopa asked.

"Yeah, I do remember," Kali said. "Why?"

"Well I don't know," Kopa began. "He hasn't done anything wrong. I feel like I'm being proved wrong. We haven't heard anything all day."

"Well still," Chaka said with a scowl. "Don't get your hopes up, Kopa. He might do something later."

"Yeah," Aisha chimed in. "I still don't trust him at all. After hearing it from you guys earlier today I'm starting to get convinced that dad accepted Kovu into the pride too early."

"Well Kiara told me that Kovu isn't harmful when I saw him with Kiara yesterday near the river," Kopa said, remembering the other day where he and Kovu nearly fought. "I honestly don't think he's that bad."

"If he isn't that bad then why the hell does he have to ask to join our pride?" Chaka growled. "It would have been better if he didn't ask to join the pride."

"I think he asked to join because of Kiara," Kopa suggested. "Kiara did tell me that they met as cubs."

"I still don't like the decision Simba made in accepting him though," Chaka growled.

"Well I don't either bro," Kopa said. "But Simba's the king. He can accept those to our pride and can deny those from staying here. We sadly can't do anything about it."

"Which sucks," Chaka growled. "If I was king I would've denied Kovu straight away. I will not allow rogues like him who or suspicious into the pride. Rogues who are suspicious are to not be in our pride."

"If you did deny him from coming then Kiara would've probably complained to you Chaka," Aisha said.

"What makes you say that?!" Chaka demanded.

"Well I mean Kiara did say that Kovu isn't harmful," Kali pointed out. "So who knows. He might not be harmful."

"I still don't trust him," Chaka growled.

"Uh guys," Kopa began, looking at the direction of where the sun is setting.

"What is it, bro?" Chaka asked.

"Yeah," Aisha chimed in. "What is it, Kopa?"

"We should head back," Kopa said, pointing to where to sun was setting, which was close to being fully down. "It's going to be dark soon and it will be a bit cold. I don't want to freeze."

"Yeah," Chaka replied with an agreement. "I most certainly don't want to freeze either. Let's head back."

"Let's get back to Pride Rock before the sun is down," Kali said. With that, the siblings got up and walked back to Pride Rock.

As the siblings got back to Pride Rock, they went inside the royal cave. But to their surprise, Simba and Nala were not there. "Where could mom and Simba be right now?" Chaka wondered.

"I don't know," Kopa said with a shrug. "They probably might have gone out to spend the night together."

"If they were then they would be telling us," Kali said. "They usually would tell us. It's odd that they didn't tell us."

"I don't think they're going to be out for long though," Aisha pointed out. "They're probably going to come back soon."

"Yeah," Kopa replied. "But we should go inside and get some sleep. At least that should give us some rest."

"Yes I agree," Chaka said. "Let's go inside and get some good night's sleep." With that, the four siblings went inside the royal cave and headed over to their sleeping spots to get some much-needed sleep.

The next day before the sunrise, Kiara and Kovu returned to Pride Rock after "Upendi" with Rafiki. Kiara looked at Kovu with a smile before heading inside the royal cave to get sleep. Simba watched his daughter go inside the cave, before looking at Kovu who was heading to his sleeping spot outside the cave. Simba smiled and approached Kovu, who looked up at him. "It's getting a bit cold out here," Simba said, looking at the sky and feeling the cold air. "Come inside." Kovu got up and followed Simba inside the cave.

Meanwhile, a tan lioness with purple eyes named Vitani was watching at the bottom of Pride Rock as she saw Kovu behind Simba. "Yes!" Vitani said quietly. "Get him!" But Kovu was still walking behind Simba, not jumping on him. "What are you doing get him!" she tried again, going down to the ground, hoping that Kovu would kill Simba. But he didn't. Kovu went inside the cave with Simba, much to her displeasure. "Rah!" she hissed as she got up and ran to the Outlands to tell Zira what she saw.

As Vitani got back to the Outlands, she saw Zira. She went over to her and explained what she had just seen. After Vitani was finished explaining, Zira let out a furious roar. "You're sure?" Zira growled.

"Affirmative," Vitani said. "I saw it with my own eyes."

"Kovu cannot betray us," Zira growled as she turned away from Vitani. But then she turned back to face Vitani and said, "Come. We're gonna come up with a plan." With that Vitani followed Zira back to the termite mounds to think of a plan.

Meanwhile back at Pride Rock Simba had decided to go back out to look at the stars. Just then he heard a voice from behind him say, "Dad?" Simba spun around to see Kali standing there.

"Hey Kali," Simba said with a smile. "What are you doing up at this time?"

"It's almost morning dad," Kali said, gesturing to where the sun was about to rise in any minute. "But the better thing I'd like to ask is why you made Kovu sleep inside the royal cave? Me, Aisha, Kopa, and Chaka don't trust him at all."

"Kali," Simba began slowly, trying not to lose his temper. "The reason I let Kovu sleep in the cave is that it was a bit cold out here. And your mother convinced me to give him a chance. That's why I asked him to sleep in the cave."

"Well, I still don't trust him," Kali growled, glaring at her step-father. "Now if you'll excuse me I'm gonna go for a walk now. See you later dad." With that Kali walked down the side of Pride Rock before Simba could even say a word to her. Just then Kopa came out of the royal cave.

"Hello Kopa," Simba said with a smile.

"Hello Simba," Kopa said smiling back. "Just wanted to let you know that I'm gonna head to the gorge. I'm gonna go to my father's grave to pay him a visit if you don't mind."

"Of course I don't mind," Simba said. "Just make sure that you don't go to the Outlands.

"I won't," Kopa promised. "See ya Simba." With that Kopa went down the side of Pride Rock to head to the gorge. Little did Simba know Kopa was actually going to where Kali said she was heading to. He was heading to the Pride Land border and the desert where Kali said she and Jelani will meet.

A/N: Siblings having an interaction is something I love seeing :). But man does Kali have an attitude. She really doesn't like her stepdad's decision letting Kovu sleep in the royal cave. I can't blame her though.

To anyone that asks, why did I make Kiara and Kovu return from "Upendi" the next day? If you guys watch the movie again, you will see that the sky is getting light. When Kiara and Kovu stargazed together, it was night. When they returned, it was morning, just the sun hasn't risen yet. Note that this is also my opinion on how I saw it. The sun was going to rise at some point that day Kiara and Kovu returned.

Anyways, that's it for Chapter 29! See you all later in Chapter 30!
