Scene 30

When Kaiya got back to the village she went straight to Tsunade.

"Lady Tsunade?" she knocked at the door.

Tsunade was looking out the window when she turned and saw Kaiya.

But Kaiya gasped when she saw Tsunade crying.

Rushing to the older woman, Kaiya caught Tsunade as she fell to her knees crying.

Kaiya knew Tsunade, so she didn't ask.

All she did was hold her like Tsunade had one for her in the past.

Tsunade felt foolish and like a child crying, but she was in pain.

Her heart was in pain.

Rejecting the old man so many times.

She still loved him in her own way.

Tsunade once calmed down, explained to Kaiya what had happened.

How Master Jiraiya had died on his mission.

Killed by the Akatsuki member named Pain.

Kaiya nodded.

Wondering how many more loved ones were going to die.

"Kaiya, can you grab me the napkins to put on the table? Master Jiraiya should be here soon!" yelled Kushina as she cooked dinner.

Minato was trying to help as well, but also couldn't wait.

"I'm so nervous!" he exclaimed.

Kushina laughed at him.

Kaiya was excited.

"Ms, Kushina, did I do good at setting the table up?" she asked.

Kushina looked out of the kitchen and then gave Kaiya a big thumb's up.

Minato then rushed and grabbed Kaiya into his arms.

Laughing.

"Little miss Kaiya, are you excited to learn the baby's name?" Minato asked.

"Of course I am!" replied Kaiya, smiling.

Just then there was a knock at the door.

Minato put Kaiya down to answer the door and it was Master Jiraiya.

The two greeted each other when Jiraiya then saw Kaiya.

"Minato! Who is this beautiful girl in the room?' Master Jiraiya asked jokingly about Kaiya. He then went to Kaiya and held her hands, 'For the girl as beautiful as the moon, I got you a gift just as fitting for any princess." he smiled.

Jiraiya reached into his back pouch and then pulled out what looked like a bamboo shoot.

"You got her bamboo Master?" crossed Minato's arms.

Jiraiya shook his fingers no and continued to Kaiya. "Hold both ends, and then open okay?"

Kaiya did as told.

Once opened, a little doll came out of the bamboo shoot.

"It's a doll!" the man smiled.

Kaiya was overjoyed, for she loved dolls.

Hime being her favorite of course.

"Does she have a name Master Jiraiya?" asked Kaiya.

"Lil' Bamboo. Princess Lil' Bamboo," he answered.

This caused Kaiya to laugh at the silly name.

"So Itachi is dead as well?" asked Tsunade.

Kaiya nodded.

Tsunade looked at the young girl.

She was different now.

Tsunade couldn't place it, but Kaiya seemed restful.

"Did you see him prior?" she asked.

Kaiya nodded again, "I did."

She wanted to explain everything about Itachi, but she couldn't.

"Kakashi, was he mad at me?" Kaiya asked.

Tsunade laughed, "That man could never be mad at you! He stormed into my office yelling at me for letting you go."

Kaiya gasped and apologized.

Tsunade waved it off, "He's in love with you, you know Kaiya?' she looked at the girl, 'He's willing to go through fire for you."

Kaiya sighed, "I love him, I love him a lot Tsunade but I'm afraid."

"Of what?"

"Everyone I love dies or leaves me. Minato, Ms. Kushina, Itachi…," she answered.

"That's not true.' argued Tsunade crossing her arms, 'Minato and Kushina might be gone, but you still have them around. Naruto is here, and he's both of them combined."

Kaiya stared at Tsunade and then smiled, "You're right."

"Of course I am, I'm always right!" Tsunade laughed heartily.

Kaiya was on her way to her apartment when she gasped once she got near.

"Kakashi?"

Kakashi was knocking on her door and quickly turned.

"Kaiya!" he rushed to her.

The two hugged each other.

It felt like they hadn't seen each other in a very long time.

Kaiya led Kakashi inside and started a kettle of tea.

Sitting at her table, the air was silent for a second.

"How can you just leave like that Kaiya?" Kakashi asked.

Kaiya could hear the hurt in his voice.

"I had to find out.' she replied, 'I needed to go on my own Kakashi."

They were silent again when the kettle began to whistle.

Quickly Kaiya went to it and poured them both a cup.

After a sip, Kaiya knew she had to tell Kakashi, "I saw Itachi."

Kakashi gasped, "But he…"

"I know, Sasuke killed him right?" sighed Kaiya. "I saw him prior. But I didn't stop him, there was no point."

Kakashi looked at Kaiya.

She was different.

Kaiya was looking off into the distance, something she did a lot prior but something was different.

But hearing Kaiya saw Itachi made him insecure.

A feeling he hated so he had to ask.

"Do you still love him Kaiya? Do you still love Itachi?"

Kaiya looked at him unshocked that he had asked.

Nodding, "I do.' breaking Kakashi's heart, 'Or well I did." she corrected herself.

Kakashi didn't know what to say.

He wanted to comfort Kaiya but also felt heartbroken.

"No matter what I felt, it didn't matter,' Kaiya added.' He's dead now, so nothing can be done."

"Kaiya…" muttered Kakashi, 'I…"

He wanted to say it.

If he didn't he would only postpone it more.

"I know Kakashi, you don't have to say it. But right now, I can't reciprocate fully yet." she then looked at him in the eyes, 'Will you wait for me though Kakashi? Wait until I can say it too?" smiling.

Kakashi was in shock.

Did Kaiya love him back?

Did she love him just as well all along?

Kakashi nodded and reached to grab her hand on the table, "I waited this long, I can wait a bit more." smiling.

"Thank you, Kakashi."

It was night time by then and the two got ready for bed.

It wasn't spoken, but it was just figured that Kakashi would spend the night.

However, when he went to set up the couch, Kaiya stopped him.

They then spent that night in each other's arms.

Nothing happened, but so much else had.

Kakashi now knew in his heart Kaiya loved him back.

She may not be ready to say it just yet, but Kaiya made it known to him that she will.

And that would suffice him until whenever that was.
