hey everybody, before you start reading the chapter I wanted to apologize for how I have been progressing the story. I intentionally made it as close to the cannon story as comfortably possible because I didn't personally see what was wrong with that (also I'm a lazy piece of shit) but then it came to my attention that nowadays My Hero Academia is actually hated because it seems little by little every season it actually gets... dull. anyways I realize that sticking close to the cannon story was a bad idea and sooner or later I had to change things up. well, I mean I already had ideas that were different from the cannon, obviously, I mean it wouldn't be fanfiction if it was the exact same thing but now I am going to try to stay even farther away from the cannon while also not going overboard. a reader who wrote several reviews on my fanfiction brought this to my attention so I did a little research and realized that they had a point so thank you brambleus, for helping realize my mistake. anyways that's enough of that here's the next chapter.
Chapter 31: YOU'RE MY HERO!
The next day it resumed normal excessive and nonstop training for both class 1-A and 1-B, only now everyone was extremely exhausted and their determination to walking corpses had started faster today than it did yesterday. some of them even though our teacher said we would want to be dead after this was over but I wanna die right now! or something similar along those lines.
"don't any of you let up you need to keep pushing yourselves, you have to endure a lot more than this in the future if you're ever going to be pro heroes. remember where you started, who you are, and how you got here; if you ever forget the answer to any of these questions then you forget the essence of being a hero. the reason I'm telling you this is because you need to be training your mind as well, focus on your goal and essence as a hero while your sweating and it will all be worth it in end... hopefully." did he have to add the hopefully part Izumi thought as she continued to throw punches despite being extremely exhausted. it makes it sound like he has no faith in us... actually that might be true. Izumi then decided to give what Aizawa said a shot and started to focus on her heroic goals but then when she focused on where she started part she remembered All Might. hey how come he isn't here?
"uh, Mr. Aizawa I was wondering-" just then Tiger's claw hand grabbed hold of Izumi's head to keep her from moving.
"where do you think you're going little girl, you have to keep going until the sun goes down!" why does that sound like a quote from an American horror movie?! Izumi screamed in her head as she shivered in terror while Tiger was looking at her with an aura of sinister evil.
"its ok Tiger, let her talk but you know he Is right Midoriya, you need to keep training. why don't you ask me what you were going to ask while continuing your training." as Tiger released her from his grip she sighed in relief but then sighed in annoyance as she resumed to throw punches.
"I just wanted to know if All Might and the other teachers were coming soon."
"they won't be coming at all. we have reason to believe that All Might is the main target for the League of Villans we don't know if its because he's weakening or if its because of how much attention the idiot draws to himself but either way it would be safer if you all stay far away from him. surprisingly for once in order to keep people safe, we have to keep All Might far away rather than keep him close but as long as I don't have to see his stupid smile or his ridiculous laugh then I really don't mind." Aizawa then walked away with his signature sinister smile but it almost actually seemed like a genuine smile of joy, however, Izumi had a disappointed expression on her face because of how All Might being gone was what made him smile. I wonder what his relationship with All Might was like when they went to U.A. as students.
"listen up you kittens! I know you've all been training hard so tonight we going to have hard fun by pitting the classes against each other in a test of courage! but not before you make yourselves some delicious meals! how does that all sound, gonna be a fun day right?" WRONG! THAT'S JUST MORE WORK! all of Class 1-A and Class 1-B ended up mentally agreeing in unison. Izumi thought the same thing but couldn't help but add a curse word or two into her version, she then looked up and at the sky but then her eyes stopped at the mountain above her where she spotted Kota glaring at everyone. Izumi then lit up instantly and smiled while waving joyfully at Kota, when he saw this he blushed to see her in her normal form and smiling, he was about to wave back and smile but instead he just ran away. Izumi was surprised by this at first but realized her mistake, he probably still feels negative towards all of us, makes sense his opinions won't change overnight I should wait until tonight when we meet at his secret fort. Tiger then grabbed Izumi's head again and frowned with a sinister aura to show how disappointed he was at her for slacking off on her training if I'm still alive by then that is. she thought as she started sweating nervously.
that night it was back to cooking and preparing their own meals, wasn't too different only now Bakugo was in charge of preparing the vegetables instead of cooking anything like last time. Uraraka was trying to help him out but instead ended up distracting Bakugo rather than helping him.
"hey come on you bonehead I'm just trying to help!"
"is that what you call help?! you're not chopping the carrots correctly! and why the hell are you putting the onions over there?! are you trying to ruin our dinner?!"
"uh Bakugo, how are you chopping the carrots so perfectly without looking?"
"because unlike you, I know how to cook! the damn old Hag kept nagging me about not being in a relationship and probably dying alone or whatever so she forced me to learn how to cook so I wouldn't starve to death or some shit like that!"
"with your hotheaded attitude, you probably will die alone."
"that would only happen if I suddenly decided to kill everyone! now get the fucking onions out of that pot! and you, elite four-eyes! put some fucking gloves on before skinning the potatoes or you get your damn germs on them!" sorry Iida and Uraraka I would like to help but I'm scared to make Bakugo mad, I'm still such a coward. Izumi thought as she cried imaginary tears of sympathy and tried lighting the grills with her flint and steel.
"hm, looks like curry again tonight, I wonder if Kota will be ok with that, I mean he said he'd bring snacks but still."
"who's Kota?" Izumi then looked up surprised to see Todoroki there holding a pot.
"oh hey Todoroki, Kota is Mandalay's cousin's son, he's the little boy that lives with them."
"... oh, he's the brat that poked your eyes in." Todoroki then unleashed an aura of fury thinking about what Kota did.
"ah! Shoto it's fine we're on good terms now!" Todoroki then looked at Izumi confused and then sighed in relief as he managed to pull off a genuine smile, that was scary Izumi thought its sweet that he cares about me but he should also remember that Kota is a kid.
"anyways, I went over to his secret fort yesterday and shared some curry with him, it was really nice to talk to him even though he hated heroes."
"hm? he hates heroes?"
"... yeah, it's kind of a personal thing of his, he had a really rough childhood and because of it he hates heroes so much." Izumi then turned to her dark form and slumped a little out of depression.
"he reminds me a lot of myself when I had nothing to look forward to in life, just false hope." Todoroki looked at Izumi in disappointment and then looked away, I hate it when she's in that form he thought as Izumi got the fire started and Iida started bringing the ingredients.
"... listen, Izumi, if its something personal then maybe you should stay out of it."
"what? but he's sad and angry and... he's still just a kid, I hated it when I was constantly like that he shouldn't have to go through such anger on his own." Izumi then got up and she and Todoroki got out of the way so the others could cook.
"nobody should have to go through that, trust me I wouldn't wish it on him either, even if he's a brat, but diving your nose into something like this will only widen the wound and cause more pain."
"yeah, I did kinda make him cry by accident."
"... also Izumi, you know everyone is entitled to their opinion right? even if that opinion is one as ridiculous as hating heroes." please don't say it like that, it makes it sound like Kota has nothing to be sad about Izumi thought this but wouldn't say because then she would have to explain everything and that would not be fair to Kota at all.
"I know that, I really don't care if he hates heroes, well actually I kinda do but he shouldn't have to feel this way due to aimless anger and sadness, I want to help him see a new light and get on a better path. if he still hates heroes even after that then it's fine. I just want to make him feel better, I know I'm getting into his business by doing this but still, the essence of a hero is to help those in need right?" Izumi then looked at Todorki in great sadness which reminded him of how she looked back at the Sports Festival. Todorki then remembered how Izumi practically sacrificed her arms in order to show him the flaws in his idea of refusing to use his flames and now she was doing the same for a child who attacked her. when he thought of it all a hint of jealously went through his mind, but he quickly shook his head to forget about it, as he and Izumi got in line to get a plate of curry.
"ahem! Izumi, I really think you should leave the child be, but if it really matters that much to you then heed my advice, you can't rely on words alone well you could if it was really powerful, but instead, you should rely on actions. actions speak louder than words and don't just touch the mind and the soul like words do but they also affect the heart. if you can show him that heroes are not something to hate or be afraid of, then he will be able to see what you see and change his perspective... or at the very least, get him to stop bring a little brat." Izumi then thought deeply about this as she got herself her plate and came to a realization, she then immediately reverted back to her normal form out of joy due to her realization. Todoroki looked at her confused because not only did she suddenly change her form again but this time when she was in her normal form she seemed to be glowing as well, like a princess from a fairy tale.
"your absolutely right Shoto-Kun! I made Kota cry because I was going it all the wrong way, I'm gonna go apologize to him and then make him smile in the proper way. thank you Shoto-Kun! your the best!" S- Shoto-Kun? Todoroki thought in confusion while blushing why is she suddenly- Todoroki's train of thought was instantly derailed when Izumi kissed him on the cheek.
"I saw in a manga that that's how girls show their appreciation to boys! sorry if it was too awkward!" Izumi then ran off with two bowls of curry and seeming more happy and pretty than ever. Todorki then his left cheek where she kissed him and then smiled don't be sorry Izumi... it was ni- once again his train of thought was derailed when Bakugo punched him in the face.
"You Fucker! just what the hell was that bullshit!"
"grrr... me and Izumi were just talking I don't see-"
"just talking... ?" Todoroki and Bakugo then heard a very sinisterly vibed voice and turned to see Uraraka with a large aura of fury.
"you pervert... how dare... YOU KISS MY IZUMI!"
"wait what? she kissed me-" Uraraka then got on top of Todoroki and started punching him nonstop, Todoroki wasn't getting too hurt from the punches but was still trying to block and get Uraraka off of him but to no avail. Bakugo, on the other hand, was just standing there confused wondering how things escalated this way so quickly but then after some time he got a chair and sat down with a bowl of curry and watched the fight while eating.
Izumi then walked up to Kota's secret base and joyfully with two bowls of Curry in her hands and was happy to see Kota there sitting on the ground with some chocolate bars.
"Hey, Kota!" Kota seemed to be looking down as usual but then when he heard Izumi's voice he looked up and almost smiled but then freaked out when he saw what Izumi was wearing jean shorts and her new green tank top.
"w- what are you wearing?!"
"hm? oh, this! haha yeah, one time the girls took me out to buy a lot of clothes and this was one of the outfits that Ashido picked out for me. she said it was good to wear, some about showing the boys what they want. Hm, I still don't know what that means. but anyway here's your bowl of Curry!" Izumi then handed Kota his bowl and he took it and slowly started eating. after they were done eating Kota then gave Izumi one of the candy bars in a shy manner.
"s- sorry, I could only find c- chocolate."
"hm, that's ok, I love chocolate!" Izumi the gladly took the bar and ate it joyfully, Kota was about to eat his but then he stopped himself.
"... Izumi?"
"hm?"
"do... do you really have to be a hero?" Izumi then stopped eating her chocolate and then looked at Kota surprised, Kota then looked down in embarrassment wondering if he said the right thing.
"I don't have to be a hero it's just something I want to do." Kota then looked up confused and saw Izumi staring off into the distance.
"I could have been anything else a doctor, a teacher, an architect, a model, a book writer, a police officer, or even a housemaid. any of those jobs would have been safer than being a hero and if I tried hard enough I really could have changed the world with them. but it's not the world I want to change, it's myself."
"huh?"
"Kota... can I tell you a secret?" Kota then blushed, wondering what she would tell him and then nodded quickly.
"hm, when I was younger I only wanted to be a hero because I loved heroes so when the doctor said it would be better to be something else I threw a fit. then when everyone told me that I couldn't or shouldn't be a hero and that made me depressed. I wanted to just give up on life but then a hero showed up and told me that I could be a hero after just one selfless act. that was when I slowly started to realize what was my problem. I really couldn't be a hero because I was going at it for the wrong reasons! I just wanted to be a hero because I thought they were cool, I barely ever considered the essence of being a hero. that's why I want to be a hero now, so I can repay that amazing hero for showing me the true flaws in my life by continuing his legacy by saving lives and establishing justice throughout the world as best as I can."
"so you're doing it to make up a debt to a hero you owe?"
"oh um, well yeah but when you put it that way it sounds-" Kota then got up and had a serious look on his face.
"tell me who it is... I'll kill them!"
"ah! Kota stop! it's not like I need to repay him or he'll kill me I'm just doing it because I want to!" Kota was still a little mad but then sat down in silence.
"... sorry."
"it's ok."
"... hmph, I guess you want me to forgive your precious hero."
"no, it's ok, if you still don't like Heroes I don't mind."
"eh?"
"hm, Kota I never actually wanted you to like heroes I just wanted to make you feel better and maybe even see you smile!" Izumi then smiled brightly at Kota which caused him to blush even more, especially when the wind started blow causing her hair to flow with it, which made Kota's face redder due to how pretty it made her look.
"oh, my hair is really getting long, I should probably cut it soon."
"No! uh I mean... no, it- it looks good long." Izumi was confused at first but then she just smiled warmly at Kota, which made him looks down out of shyness.
"IZUMI WHERE ARE YOU?!"
"oh crap I think I've been gone too long, I need to go back for an activate were doing tonight. I'm really sorry Kota! I did all the talking tonight, but hey I get to stay here for two more nights so how about tomorrow we get to talk about anything you want! bye, Kota!" Izumi then ran away joyfully but Kota wasn't ready for her to leave just yet.
"Izumi!"
"huh?" Izumi then turned around confused wondering what Kota wanted and Kota was actually wondering that too, he only actually stopped her because he didn't want her to leave.
"uh... I... um... LET'S BE FRIENDS!" Kota couldn't help but shout it out loud which actually scared Izumi a little bit and made her jump back, Kota quickly noticed this and started to panic wondering if he said the right thing. Izumi, on the other hand, started to calm down and then smiled again, she then raised her fist in the air which surprised Kota.
"OKAY!" Izumi then waved goodbye and continued to run back to camp, wow she thought I didn't think he would ask something like that but I'm fine with it, I like having friends and Kota could really use one so I'll do the best I can. oh right, I forgot I was supposed to show him something about being a hero, eh, I'll just do it tomorrow. we got two more nights after all. Kota just stood there like a statue for a minute or so before falling to the ground and looked up to the stars.
"she... said yes? but why? I'm just a kid... would it have been better if I was her age." Kota then couldn't help but imagine himself to be as old as Izumi but he would also be buffer and taller than her. he then imagined going to the same school as her and she would call him "Kota-Kun" all the time and would hand on to his arm and smile brightly while blushing cutely at him. Kota quickly realized how out of control his imagination was going and then quickly shook his head to get all of the thoughts out of his mind.
"... ugh... heroes are... confusing..."
since the test of courage was about to start and it was getting cold out Izumi changed into her favorite green hoodie and green shorts, she wanted to wear her new All Might hoodie but she forgot to pack it for the trip. Everyone seemed excited to start the test of courage even Ashido, Kaminari, and Sero but then Aizawa claimed that they needed extra training do to how they failed the exam. everyone else was paired into teams but since it was now an odd number of students Izumi wasn't paired with anyone.
"its a test of courage... and I'm all alone."
"uh hey Izumi, if your scared I could always be with you instead!" Mineta was drooling as he was talking and slowly approaching Izumi, Todorki was about to shield Izumi from him but then Bakugo grabbed him by the shoulder. Todorki turned to Bakugo thinking he was going to start a fight but was surprised when he made him move in front of Bakugo as if he was using him as a shield from Izumi.
"... what are you talking about you bastard."
"eh?" when Izumi spoke so suddenly and actually cussed so naturally, it was enough to make everyone even Aizawa go "eh?"
"I'm... NOT SCARED OF ANYTHING!" Izumi then rushed into her dark form and was now yelling in her male voice which terrifyingly sounded similar to Bakugo's yelling. everyone even Pixie Bob was terrified by this and they all shouted "EHHHH?!" Aizawa, on the other hand, was silent but his eyes went big with shock while Bakugo was still using Todoroki as a shield and seemed gloomy as if he was reliving some annoying thing from his past.
"YOU PUNKS THINK THIS CAN SCARE ME! NOTHING SCARES ME! GIVE ME ALL YOU GOT CLASS 1-B YOU'RE GOING DOWN!"
"uh, B- Bakugo, what the hell happened to Izumi?"
"... *sigh* back in middle school the Deku I knew then was a pushover about everything, but once the bastard gets fired up, he's not afraid of anything... not even me."
"YEAH! BAKUGO THE BASTARD KNOWS WHAT I'M ABOUT! COME ON WE DON'T GOT A NIGHT! LET'S DO THIS!" Bakugo then got even more gloomy as everyone else was more concerned, unable to hear that Bakugo was whispering "I want Izumi back."
things were going well to an extent with it all going as planned but every time a team went into the forest you could hear them screaming which meant that class 1-A was losing. which made Izumi twitch with anger as she waited in her dark form. she was waiting impatiently for her turn so that she could prove how brave she was. but then she started to smell smoke as if there was a large fire in the distance.
"hey is that black smoke?"
"oh my god! there's a fire in the forest!" Izumi then stopped her pacing and then got up out of panic hoping that the fire was both small and coincidental. however, both her hopes were immediately crushed when the fire started spreading around the area like it was being made by someone and when Pixie Bob floated into the forest and was pinned down by a villain.
"Greetings everyone! we are the elite vanguard of the league of villains!"
"what? the league of Villans?! I thought you guys were history! weren't they crushed at the USJ incident?!"
"they were but those were just a bunch of thugs nothing more than foot soldiers, these guys are the next generation who joined because your Stain supporters, right?" everyone looked at Izumi who was back in her normal form but was facing the villains with fearless determination.
"ha, the little girl's smart, but she not exactly right, I mean he joined because of Stain but I only did because I like to kill people."
"speaking of which, try not to do any more damage big sis Magne let me take it from here. now, let's just have a subtle and honorable fight under the principles of Stain. but of course what the hell would you fakers and wannabes know about principles?!"
"How dare you! Pixie Bob may have acted childish from time to time but she was a devoted hero who saved countless lives, and she was extremely proud of her accomplishments! what gives you the right to cut her life short?!"
"you fool! childish? prideful? how the hell where either of those traits supposed to qualify as worthy of a true hero?! enough of trying to reason with you fakers, I am the supervillain Spinner and I will make Stain's dream a reality! now die by my blade and become the essence to the glory of Stain! and the Leauge of Villans!" the villain then grabbed the large sword on his back and it reviled to be made of lots of smaller swords fused together.
"This isn't good!" Mandalay then activated her quirk everyone listen to me! the camp has been breached! there are villains who have pinned down Pixie Bob and possibly more in the forest everyone needs to- AAAAH! Mandalay then started screaming and holding her hands to her head like she was having a horrible headache.
"oh looks like the big guy wants to talk to her."
"yeesh if I had known how terrifying he was I would have never provoked the monster." the way the villains were talking confused everyone except for Tiger who was trying to help Mandalay but then she stood still and smiled and opened her eyes to reveal that they were glowing crimson. All for One had a quirk that allowed him to possess anyone, at any time, at any location so long as he had seen their face at least once. the side effect was that said person's eyes would glow crimson red as they were possessed.
A- All for One Izumi thought this and started to tremble in fear and just then Mandalay's message resumed. don't worry about the villans Students of U.A., we are strong heroes and will be sure to take them all out, just stay where you are and wait for help to come. if a villain manages to find you before we do then don't panic. Just fight them as best as you can and then make a run for it as soon as you are sure that they can't follow you. But please stay in the forest its the safest place to be right now.
"M- Mandalay?! why would you spread a message like that?! the children need to get back to camp as quickly as possible!"
"Hey sorry to break it to you kitty, but that's not really Mandalay anymore."
"what? what are you-?"
"Spinner! Magne! I have orders from Shigaraki, ensure that Tiger and Mandalay don't leave here at all costs!"
"oh, of- of course!"
"yes! we won't let these fakers escape!"
"Good, now little Midoriya I have a message just for you. your little friend is in danger right now, you want to be a hero? then go save him!" Izumi knew what All for One was talking about and turned to her dark form out of rage.
"grrr! what are you doing here?! how did you know we were here?!"
"Did I not just say that your little friend was in danger? go and save him already!"
"no Midoriya! stay here behind us where it is safe!"
"if you don't let her go then more innocents children will die! Magne! Spinner! ensure that she is the only one who leaves!" Mandalay then closed her eyes and shook her head as if she just woke up from a horrible nightmare.
"oh... wh- what? what just happened?"
"Mandalay! I don't have time to explain, but Kota is in danger I need to go save him now!" Izumi then activated her spark and since she was in her dark form she was able to use 15% so she rushed over to Kota's secret Hideout as quickly as possible.
"Midoriya no!" Mandalay tried to stop Izumi but then Magne used their quirk to grab hold of Mandalay and float her towards them to which then used their weapon to hit her like a baseball bat which pushed her right back and even nearly broke her arm had she not blocked it in time.
"I feel like you should be more worried about us kitten."
"Mange! you're supposed to be restraining Pixie Bob!"
"oh relax, I knocked her out, that cat is not getting up anytime soon. so now all that's left is to put the rest of these filthy kittens to sleep. as well as their little friends."
Kota was watching from his secret hideout as the fire started to consume the forest, wondering what was going on but then he heard footsteps and saw a large figure approaching his base and blocking the only path in.
"hm? what a little kid doing up here? and why at a training camp for High Schoolers?"
"w- who are you?! get out of my base!"
"wow, this is your base? kinda lame to be honest. but hey mind if I borrow it? I'll trade you this wicked mask for it, oh and uh I'm also gonna need your cool hat." Muscular was now in front of Kota which made him tremble in fear, and soon out of overwhelming fear Kota made a run for it but then Muscular jumped above him and landed on the other side blocking Kota from any escape.
"oh come on kid, I'm not gonna hurt you I just want to use your base and your cool hat. the mask is worth it trust me although it is kinda hard to see with." Muscular then took off his mask and showed Kota his face, to which Kota looked in horror and Muscular looked back in confusion.
"y- you! y- your..."
"hm? hey, you look familiar, yeah you almost look like... WATER HOSE! THOSE STUPID FUCKS! LOOK WHAT THEY DID TO MY FACE!" Muscular then took off his hood to show the large scar and artificial eye on the left side of his face.
"GRRR! I was actually going to spare you but FUCK THAT! your the brat of those heroic assholes aren't you?! I'm going to FUCKING KILL YOU!" Muscular then raised his fist and it was reinforced with muscle like growths.
"WHEN YOU GET TO HELL, TELL YOUR PARENTS I SAID 'FUCK YOU'!" Muscular then punched down with the full intent to crush Kota into a puddle of blood but then Izumi with her 15% Spark got Kota out of the way and even managed to avoid getting hit by Muscular but do to her extensive speed, she hit the ground unintentionally and hard causing both her and Kota to roll on the ground.
"what the hell? who the fuck are... hey its you!" Izumi then got up quickly and guarded Kota she then reached for her phone but it wasn't in her pocket, she looked around but then saw that it was on the ground and still intact but next to Muscular's feet, he quickly saw the phone and stepped on it.
"damn it! Kota! get on my back, I'm getting you out of here!"
"no, Izumi! this guy is fast! I tried running away earlier but he blocked the way in an instant."
"HA! I barely even had to try because of how little and weak you are! but still, I saw how fast you are bitch, you blindsided me once but now I know what I'm up against so you won't be lucky if it happens again." Izumi realized that there was no way of escape and her phone was destroyed so no reinforcements would show up either, so she had no choice but to defend Kota from the villain.
"Kota, stay back, I'm going to ensure I get you out of here!"
"what Izumi you can't fight this guy *sniff* he- he- he killed my parents!" Izumi's heart almost skipped a beat out of fear but said fear quickly turned into hatred and she took a deep breath and reactivated Spark at 20%. even in her dark form maintaining 20% of One for All through Spark was difficult, so she only ever used it in emergencies like the fight with Stain and now.
"... I'm gonna take him down."
"what?! Izumi please! *sobbing* Please don't! you'll die!"
"I'm not going to die, Kota, after all, I still have to find a way to make you smile." Izumi then faced Kota and even though she was in her dark form, she still managed to make a beautiful smile, which warmed Kota's heart but didn't convince him that she would be alright. Izumi then faced Muscular with a face of great disappointment and anger.
"you hurt my friend Kota and killed his parents! as a student striving to become a hero, I will bring you to justice but not before I make you pay for what you did!"
"oh! I like the sound of that! how about we play a game! WHO CAN MAKE THE OTHER BLEED THE MOST!" Muscular then seemingly disappeared but Izumi quickly realized what happened and guarded her right, just when Muscular showed up and punched her. her defense was good but Muscular proved to be too strong and forced her back into the wall of Kota's fort, Izumi quickly got back up but only moved slowly due to her arm being broken GRRR! FUCK! she thought GOD FUCKING DAMN IT THIS FUCKING HURTS! My arm hasn't been this broken since the Festival, actually no, I think this is worse!
"oh your still alive? that's good I guess after all the boss requested that I take you alive. something about the three musketeers, One for All and All for One or something like that. anyways I was originally meant to capture this Bakugo kid but I'll settle for you and I'm pretty sure it's ok as long as your alive so it won't matter if I break all of your bones first!" Muscular then rushed toward Izumi but she was ready this time and managed to dodge into the air when Muscular looked up in confusion Izumi landed her foot on his face and then used him to force herself to the other side of the base while also putting force on him.
"ow? was that seriously all you got?" Muscular then rushed forward faster this time so Izumi didn't have time to dodge instead she just punched his face or would have if he hadn't blocked in time. while he was grinning at her she quickly went for a high kick and hit his face right on the artificial eye. he groaned in pain but then looked at Izumi with murderous rage, he then kicked Izumi in the stomach causing her puke a large amount of blood. ugh... you son of a bitch, why... did you have to aim for the stomach. Izumi then fell to the ground and was completely unable to move as she spat out some more blood.
"... what, not getting up? what kind of hero are you? arent you supposed to live up to your promise and keep the kid safe so that he could smile or whatever? geez, Stain was right, Hero quality really is going downhill, I never actually supported the guy but I did like how he used violence to get the job done. well, anyways time to since your not gonna move I guess I should take you to the base now... but then again I should probably break your legs first, just in case, hehehe!" Muscular then lifted his leg to stop on Izumi's legs but then a rock hit him on the back of the head.
"leave- leave her alone!"
"oh right I forgot about you, ok kid I'll stop hurting her but in exchange, I'm killing you!"
"n- no! go away! leave us alone!"
"or what? you'll get Santa clause to kill me? ugh I really hate kids, your parents were fucking morons to have you, they should have aborted you when they had the chance. oh well I guess, hey don't worry kid you gonna see them again real soon, BURING IN HELL! HAHAHAHA-! huh?" Izumi then got up and reactivated her spark at 30% which was something she should never do even in her dark form because doing so continuously put vast amounts of stress on her body but right now despite the massive amount of pain and stress on her body she just wanted to save Kota. so she jumped up into the air to defend on Muscular to strike him.
"seriously kid? you already know that's not going to work, oh well, whatever hit me with what you got." Izumi then raised her broken arm to hit him but Muscular just looked at her attack with disappointment and grabbed her arm and crushed it immediately. Izumi screamed in pain and started drooling blood as Kota looked in horror while Muscular started grinning happily however they were both confused when Izumi started laughing.
"haha... thanks for holding me still! One for All: Flaming Burst!" this was Izumi's rename of the 100% smash which was a homage to how she originally thought of One for All, she only used this move as a last resort and it could only be used correctly if she was standing still. she made sure to aim it at Muscular's face and with the intense force, caused him to let her go and be rammed into the wall. the force, however, was also powerful enough to blow Kota off of the mountain but before he fell sometime latched onto him and kept him from falling.
"AAAAAH! IT HURTS!" Kota then quickly looked up and saw that Izumi was holding onto him with the arm she used for her Flaming Burst which was now covered in burnt like skin.
"ah... ah... sorry Kota, I'll get you up." Izumi then groaned in pain as she pulled Kota back to safety she then fell on the ground and Kota was on top of her. Kota then tried to get up but put his hand on her stomach and realized that her shirt was destroyed and she was now only wearing a black bra, he then blushed wildly and was unable to move until Izumi started whimpering in pain.
"ah! ow! Kota! not my stomach! it hurts!"
"Sorry!" Kota then quickly got off of Izumi but then looked at how damaged her arms and started to cry.
"Izumi *sobbing* you're alive... I'm glad but... why did you have to get hurt for me!" Kota then started crying very hard so Izumi gently put her hand on his head and pulled him to her chest as she started patting his head in comfort.
"it's ok Kota, your worth it... you're always worth it." Kota then managed to stop crying so badly but was still crying none the less.
"ah... Kota my- my arms are broken. can you help me up? we need to get back to camp." Kota wiped his tears away and then nodded, he then held onto Izumi and helped her up but before they could leave Muscular rose up from the rubble looking extremely angry and horrifying with his artificial eye sticking out of its socket.
"BOU BUCKING BTCH! OU MESTOID MA EEY BARR AND MESS BUP MY BAW!" Muscular's speech was now all wrong mostly due to his jaw being broken.
"I'M BONA BILL OU!" Muscular then reinforced his entire body with a think layer of muscles.
"KOTA GET ON MY BACK NOW!" Kota did as Izumi asked and hopped on and just in time she used Spark at 20% and jumped out of the way before Muscular could strike, she then continued to jump along the mountain with the camp being her destination. but then Muscular grabbed her by the leg threw her back down. as she fell she quickly grabbed Kota off her back and wrapped her arms around him and held him close to her stomach as she fell hard on her back onto the ground. on impact she spat a lot of blood. then Muscular fell on the ground and his muscles retracted and also seemed to have fixed his jaw as well.
"ahhh, that's better! tch, you damn bitch, screw the bosses orders I'm just gonna kill you both."
"how... how are you... still conscious... that was... 100% of my... power..." Izumi somehow managed to lift herself up to face Muscular as best as she could.
"100%? heh, you were already like an inferior version of me so if your best is 100% that means that my best is 500%! beat that you bitch!" Muscular then started forming himself into a giant mass of muscles and laughing as he was getting ready for another attack, Izumi then grabbed Kota and threw him farther away from her so he would be at a safe distance, she then smiled at him once again as she started to cry which made him cry as well because he knew why she was crying.
"... ha... ha... One... One for All: Flaming Burst!"
"no Izumi don't!"
"HAHAHA! ROT IN HELL YOU INFERIOR BITCH!" Muscular then rammed into Izumi's fist as she activated her Flaming Burst, the force from her attack caused the muscles to recoil for a little bit but their own force proved to be stronger. soon Izumi was being pushed into the ground by the overwhelming force and it wouldn't be long before she was crushed by her muscles. Izumi looked up at Kota who was still screaming at Izumi to get out of there and for Muscular to leave her alone.
"run... Kota run..." Kota somehow managed to hear what Izumi was saying and stopped shouting and instead looked at Izumi in shock.
"I can't... hold him forever... Kota run... please..."
"no... no! *sobbing* I can't! Izumi, please get out of there!"
"I can't... he's too strong... Kota please... run..."
"no! no! no! Izumi what about wanting to be a hero! what about wanting to repay that hero! what about wanting to save the world!"
"Sorry... can't anymore... my fault... I can't be... a hero anymore... Kota... please run..." Izumi was now extremely close to the ground and was only seconds from being crushed by Muscular. Kota then tried splashing his water quirk at Muscular but it had no effect, he wanted to save Izumi but didn't know how and there was no time to think instead all he could do now was just watch as his only friend was about to die just like his parents did. he then started crying even harder than before but not before he was going to tell Izumi how he felt.
"Izumi! You! You! YOU'RE MY HERO!" Izumi heard this and was shocked to hear it from Kota, it even made her cry a little harder than before.
"YOU'RE MY HERO IZUMI! DON'T YOU WANT TO MAKE ME PROUD! DON'T YOU WANT TO GIVE ME HOPE! DON'T YOU WANT TO SAVE ME! IF YOU DO THEN LIVE! PLEASE JUST LIVE!" I'm... I'm his hero?! I'm his hero! I am a hero! I have to win! I have to beat this muscle freak! I have to save Kota! I have to fight! I have to fight! I! HAVE! TO! FIGHT! just then Izumi could feel the spirit of One for All calling upon the strength of the paster One for All holders and she was now getting stronger by the second. then all of the power finally reached her being and she then forced it into her fist for one more explosive attack.
"AAAAAH! ONE FOR ALL: FLAME OF THE SUN!" Izumi never actually used Flame of the Sun before nor was it even named she just now made it up do to the all her excitement and rage at the moment. the intense power was strong enough to allow Izumi to have punched through all of Muscular's muscle like armor and hit him directly in the face. the impact was so powerful that all his muscles were vaporized, he was pushed deep into the mountain and finally knocked him out. the after shock of the force was even powerful enough that it caused the mountain to have its own earthquake but thankfully it only lasted for a minute and Izumi nor Kota got hurt from it.
"... ha... ha... one... one million... percent... beat that... asshole..." Izumi then puked an unhealthy amount of blood and fell to the ground, she was in such pain that she could not move at all and couldn't even speak but she was still conscious, the only thing she could do now was cry from all the pain.
"Izumi!" Kota then ran over to her while still crying like crazy.
"... Kota... you're safe... I'm glad..." Izumi then tried her best to smile again but didn't even have the strength for that.
"Izumi! please be ok! I'll- go get help! you'll be ok, just hang in there alright!"
"Kota... go to camp... you'll... be safe..."
"r- right! the camp should have someone there! someone to help you! just hang on please!"
"Kota... please... leave me..."
"no. no. no! I won't leave you you're my only friend! you're my hero! please Izumi just hold on just..." Kota then looked at the ground while still crying but then he looked at Izumi again and was now wearing a broken but genuine smile.
"I'm- I'm smiling! see! you did it! you made me smile! you kept your promise! now you promise me! promise me you won't die! promise me!"
"kota... go to camp... leave me..."
"Izumi!" Kota was now crying harder than before he just couldn't find the will to leave Izumi without her promising him that she would wait for him. just then he heard more footsteps coming up the mountain. he then got up and shielded Izumi the get he could.
"s- stay away! don't you touch her!"
"who's up here?! I'm not a villain, I'm a teacher of U.A."
"... Aizawa..." hearing Izumi confirm that she knew who was talking Kota quickly ran to the hero and grabbed his hand to bring him to Izumi, Aizawa was normally emotionless but when he saw Izumi's current state he was genuinely in shock. he then pulled out a blanket from one of his pockets and laid it on Izumi to both cover and comfort her.
"What happened here?"
"there was a villain! he attacked us but Izumi saved me! please she's hurt you have to save her!"
"Aizawa... take Kota... to safety..."
"no! I'm fine! please just help her!" Aizawa then crouched down next to Izumi, Izumi then looked up to Aizawa and was surprised to see that he looked genuinely concerned for her.
"Midoriya... forgive me."
"... Eh?" then Aizawa punched Izumi in the face, the punch was hard enough that she was out cold.
