Whatever It Takes

Chapter Forty Nine

It was early morning when the Hyuuga family had arrived.

Everyone was ordered to attend the breakfast and Sasuke just wasn't happy about having to get up early, at all. He was so cranky in the mornings now, and the only thing that soothed him was Itachi's touch. Itachi appeased him with a few kisses and promise of another date if he didn't curse out the Hyuuga family. Pleased with his soon to be husband, Sasuke did his best to ignore the Hyuuga's and ate breakfast when Itachi handed it to him.

The kitchen was half way done in its repairs, but the look on the Hyuugas faces when they were told that they were going to eat outside in the gardens was priceless and worth it.

"What has happened here," Hiashi asked looking around, perplexed. He had to admit that the garden in the Konohan Palace was indeed interesting. The sight of it would leave anyone breathless, but the Hyuuga were not impressed when they saw all the servants darting around.

"I'm afraid in one of the assaults my kitchen suffered a great deal. My servants have had to cope and adapt to new methods of preparing proper meals." Minato easily explained.

"I feel that you are blindly blaming us for this, when I am sure that my nephew had nothing to do with it. Granted I have not seen him but I last heard that he was out collecting rare swords. I've sent Hinata to go and fetch him," Hiashi confidently said, "I expect everything against him will be cleared up once my daughter brings him in."

"For your sake I hope that you are right and is not the one being delusional. I have several people tell me that Prince Neji was here. He attacked my family." Minato didn't turn the challenge away. He knew the Hyuuga wanted to intimidate him. "All I want is a fair trial and justice."

"By all means, please let's start the trials."

"Right, let's finish our breakfast and get to business."

"Right,"

The tension only grew from there. Once breakfast was finished they were lead to the main court room that was housed within the palace. Sasuke followed Itachi closely, and sat with him on the benches. Minato then asked his guards to let the judge, Hiruzen Sarutobi in. The affair was a bit tedious in Sasuke's opinion as he fidgeted beside Itachi.

Itachi could tell that Sasuke was feeling anxious and simply reached to grab his hand. Sasuke sighed, leaning a bit against him, finding comfort in his touch.

When Judge Sarutobi Hiruzen finally made his way inside, everone stood to greet him. Itachi and Sasuke didn't stand like the others and simply watched as the court proceedings were read aloud. Itachi had already warned Sasuke that it would be long and tedious, but that didn't mean that Sasuke didn't want to be a part of it.

One of the alive guards by the name of Ko was called to the stand. The man was asked to promise on his honor to tell the truth and nothing but the truth as he faced his fate, along with stating his name and title position. The look of surprise on the Hyuuga's was enough to go by that this man was part of their household. Hiashi gritted his teeth as he watched the guard nod his head when he was told to face the crowd and only answered when asked to speak.

Hanabi sighed softly, clutching her hand to her chest as she took a glance at her father and uncle. Both men looked like they were bowing their heads in slight shame.

"From what you have said it seems your job requires you to remain in Byakugan, protecting the Hyuuga royal family, why are you here at the Konoha, within the walls of the Namikaze-Uzumaki Royal family?" Hiruzen asked.

"I would like to take responsibility on behalf of the other guards. I will be the first to admit that yes I came here in aid of Prince Hyuuga Neji. I was only serving him as he is part of the royal family, and he had asked for us to not only help him in getting a new sword, but he then had us come here. He said that the king had taken something precious to him," The guard bowed his head even further, not being able to look up, "We all thought we had to help him get it back."

"Did Prince Neji ever say what it was that was taken from him?"

"No…"The guard hesitated as he realized that they had no idea. "We didn't question him. We simply did as he asked us to do. He had said that we might have to prepare to be attacked, and when we were greeted by...by," The guard looked up, his eyes searching and instantly pointed to Itachi once he spotted him. The damned demon he was scared of. "We were rudely greeted by him and attacked! He tried to cut our princes head!"

Hiashi and Hizashi bristled as they heard that. They turned their heads to see who the guard had pointed out and Hiashi stood. "We demand that you explain yourself!" the man roared.

"King Hiashi!" Hiruzen called order, "I want you to sit down and wait until we get the full of the story,"

Huffing in anger the Hyuuga turned towards the judge, "Your honor,"

"Enough!" Once the Hyuuga took his seat, Hiruzen turned back to the guard. "Why would this person attack you?"

The guard trembled a bit as he thought back to that night. Right, when they had gotten there, when the guards at the gate refused to let them in without first getting the permission of the king, they had attacked them. "I suppose we might not have looked all too friendly when we attacked the guards at the gate of the palace," he finally admitted, shame filling his face this time.

Hiashi and Hizashi both sighed in disdain. Of course this would be turned back onto them.

"So when you attacked the guards at the gate, and forced yourself inside, that was when this young man attacked prince Neji?"

"Not at first, prince Neji made a comment as to what he had come to claim back, the thing that they had taken from him. That was when he was attacked," The guard then proceeded to tell how Neji had commanded them to attack. How about fifty of them had ganged up on just Itachi and how several of them had lost their lives in that fight alone.

Hiruzen sighed, and then called for Itachi to testify.

Sasuke tightened his hold on Itachi, almost refusing to let him go to the stand. When Itachi gave him a reassuring look, Sasuke released him. Once at the stand, Itachi had to do the same promise along with stating his name and title position.

"I'm Uchiha Itachi, Lord to the Uchiha Estates, honored knight to the Namikaze-Uzumaki household, and fiancée to Prince Sasuke." Itachi stated. This caused surprised to everyone, except Sasuke, as they had not been expecting Itachi to have a high class title.

"Lord Uchiha, what made you decide to attack Prince Neji?"

"The man came in threatening to kidnap Prince Sasuke, as well as threatening the lives of the royal family," Itachi stated, "I sought to stop him before he could, when he saw that I was not going to let him pass, he drew his sword and yelled that I would die. I did attack him then." Itachi said.

Hiruzen nodded his head, writing in his notes the key points he needed. "Lord Uchiha, Did you do anything to hurt Prince Neji?"

Itachi nodded, "I kicked him, I would have cut off his head, but another guard interfered." There was no point in lying about his intent.

Hiruzen sighed, "Lord Uchiha, you do realize that killing a prince would be bad for you?" the man asked. Itachi raised an eyebrow.

"It's good that I didn't then." Itachi remarked.

Hiruzen shook his head at the reply, doing his best to not take it too seriously. "I have to ask, Lord Uchiha, what made you head to the gate? How did you know that Prince Neji was at the gate?"

Itachi turned to the judge, making sure no one else could see his face as his eyes flash a quick red, "I'm an Uchiha, I know when threat is near. Also, the fact that the arrival of one Rock Lee didn't bode well with me, the name was at the tip of his tongue when he claimed he was Prince Neji's husband," Itachi's eyes despite staying their solid onix color were still intense and cold.

Hiruzen shivered in fear when those red eyes had looked at him. If he had been his younger self, he surely would have pissed his pants. An Uchiha, yes he knew of them, and he didn't doubt his words on knowing about the threat. Asking for an account of that night, Hiruzen felt like he had heard enough. "You may return to your seat Lord Uchiha." He finally dismissed. Sasuke smiled at Itachi once he was beside him again, relieved that his brother was no longer at the podium.

Hiruzen then called Rock Lee to the stand. Minato had the guards bring him and his wife Sakura into the court room. Lee easily stated his name, title that had been stripped, and promised to tell the truth. He told the story of how he and his wife had been attacked, how they had been threatened. That he was guilty of sneaking in the sleeping serum that was to be used in the royal family's food and drinks. That Tenten was the one he had to report to. That he was angry, and yelled and snapped at King Hiashi and his brother Hizashi about how he hated them, and that his child was dead because of Prince Neji.

Sakura had run into his arms as soon as he was asked to step down and take a seat. The two of them sat in between two large guards that continued to keep an eye on them.

From there, Tenten was called to the stand. She stated her name and said she was simply a servant with no title. When she was asked why she helped prince Neji she stated. "Of course I would help him, he is my beloved prince! All he wanted was the love and affection of prince Sasuke, that wasn't too much to ask, I think the prince needs to open his eyes and realize how great Prince Neji is!"

"Miss Tenten, please stick to answering the question, what did Prince Neji have you do?" Hiruzen asked.

Tenten scowled. "Prince Neji didn't do anything wrong! He came here to court the prince that was it. He asked me to come and apply when he had been attacked the first time, he feared that things would be judged unfairly and he would no longer have a chance. He asked me to keep and eye on the prince, that no one got too close to him."

Hiruzen raised a confused eyebrow, "Prince Neji was attacked in the first courting?"

"It was deemed an animal attack. No one really knows what happened but Prince Neji told me it had to have been a demon. Two servants found Prince Neji hurt and yes, he was asked to step out of the courting. That wasn't fair to him at all!"

"I see," Hiruzen muttered, "Miss Tenten, what did keeping an eye on Prince Sasuke constituted?"

"All I had to do was to make sure he didn't choose someone else, and if he did, I would have to kill any person that stood in the way." She spat.

"I'm assuming, Miss Tenten, that you had no one that you had to kill?"

"No," Tenten smirked, "Prince Sasuke is a good boy, and he didn't allow anyone close to him in the least."

Sasuke scowled at that while King Hiashi and his brother Hizashi face palmed. Hanabi closed her eyes and asked for patience. This was getting really ugly.

"Then, I have to ask, Miss Tenten, during the courting was there anything that Prince Neji ask of you?" Hiruzen then elaborated, "Let's say, cause a death to any of the other suitors?"

"Prince Neji didn't ask me to do anything! He had the head guard Kidomaru wrapped around his little finger. He used him as leverage to get the keys from Orochimaru. Kidomaru was the one to kill Kabuto. Prince Neji had nothing to do with that!" She snapped.

"I see, Mr. Rock has also stated that he had to report to you with the sleeping serum he snuck in under orders of Prince Neji," HIruzen stated, "What do you have to say about that, Miss Tenten?"

"Yes, Lee was used to bring in the serum so that I could use it on the food and drinks of the royal family, but what's the big deal! Prince Neji was not going to hurt anyone. All he wanted was the prince. If anyone is worthy of Prince Neji it has to at least be the prince, and not some lowlife." She then spat, "I was rudely attacked too! By that blond idiot Deidara and the red head Sasori! They hurt me, see, I didn't even hurt anyone!" She pointed to her wounded leg that was healing just fine.

"Who is the lowlife, Miss Tenten?" Hiruzen asked in clarification.

"That damned Kidomaru, I had to kill him for daring to touch Prince Neji and even assume that he had a chance!" Everyone watched as Tenten went off her rocker, screaming how she still believed Neji would come for her and save her from all of this. That he would get what he wanted and deserved! She then turned to glare at Sasuke, asking him, "How dare you think you are better than Prince Neji, are you a fucking idiot, choosing a piece of trash over the treasure that Prince Neji is!" She glowered at Prince Sasuke.

Sasuke stood at that challenge, snapping, "If he is so fucking great why didn't you confess your feelings for him oh, that's right, you're just a little coward! Tuck your tail between your legs bitch because he has abandoned you!" Sasuke's words cut.

Tenten trembled with anger and started to scream, wanting to attack Sasuke. "You know nothing!" She roared as she was pulled out of the court room kicking and screaming.

Hiruzen had to call for order, and ask Sasuke to keep his temper in check. Itachi tugged the fuming Sasuke to sit back down as Orochimaru was called to the stand next. The man made his promise and then stated his stripped title. Before Hiruzen could even ask his first question, Orochimaru was already talking.

"My intentions were good okay! I just wanted the beauty of prince Sasuke to love me," The man babbled, his eyes turning to look at said beauty. Sasuke didn't acknowledge the look but the Hyuuga all scoffed, thinking how foolish and weak this man was over a nobody prince. Orochimaru turned back to the judged, "But I was so rudely awakened to what I already had and lost. When Kabuto died I felt no closure and when Prince Neji promised that he could tell me who had killed him I promised to help him without hesitation. I thought that king Minato had let me down by not bringing justice, and I wanted that justice so badly. Yes I handed the keys to Tenten, and then I ran when Prince Neji threatened to tell the king what I had done. I realized I had just betrayed a good man that I had sworn to be loyal too," The snake like man trembled with tears.

Hiruzen sighed, "I guess that answers your involvement and motives, Mr. Orochimaru, but I have to ask, after your deal with Prince Neji did you receive the closure you needed?"

"No," The man said, "It's not until Tenten confessed right now that I know who killed Kabuto, and I feel like a damned idiot for not being patient. King Minato has been struggling to find answers, and all I did was mess things up even more," Orochimaru dropped his head in shame.

Hiruzen dismissed him and called forth the royal guards that had helped in aiding prince Neji to go against the ones they served. After that he had Deidara and Sasori come to the stand, just to see what they had to say in their attack towards Tenten. It was easily deemed self defense when they saw that Deidara had been wounded in return. It took exactly five hours to get through everything, with only one break for lunch.

Things could have been done in two days, but because the kings were hot headed and stubborn, everything had been done within the day.

"Now that everything has been put into perspective, I would like to call King Minato, King Hiashi and his brother Hizashi to come back with me and deliberate what would be done about this. I feel you gentlemen are the main ones that have been hit with the responsibility of not keeping track of what has happened within your own palaces. Now, come." Hiruzen stood up then, his own guards following close behind and two others leading the kings to the back room.

Sasuke shifted closer to Itachi, seeming nervous and a bit uncomfortable. "What do you think will happen?"

"The people will be judged based on what was said," Itachi explained.

"Does that include you?"

"Yes," Itachi answered. Sasuke didn't like that. The raven haired prince stood up with a huff, making his way out of the court room. The guards that were supposed to be keeping them there jumped and moved out of Sasuke's way, bowing as he approached them. Sighing, Itachi followed after Sasuke.

Inside the room of deliberation, the kings found themselves arguing over the current sipped on his tea, simply letting them have at it.

"I already decided what to do with my guards." Minato snapped.

"I think someone needs to be punished for the death of my guards!" Hiashi snapped right back. "I think that Lord Uchiha and your damned servants need to be punished!"

"Your nephew brought those guards here in the first place, and their intentions were not the best. Itachi and the others had to defend themselves." Minato threw in the Hyuuga's face. The two of them glared at each other.

"Why don't we calm down and admit we all had a hand in this," Hiruzen called to them, making both men turn to him. "As far as I can judge, it seems that Hyuuga you need to take responsibility for your nephew and his attack to the royal family. He had a lot of manipulation, threats, and even deaths blamed on him just now." Hiashi and Hizashi gritted their teeth, knowing that they couldn't deny that. "When it comes to prince Neji, I suggest we find him and hold a trial for him."

"Fair enough, I would like to know why he did what he did and saying that he is in love with my nephew isn't going to be enough. That doesn't justify it." Minato seethed.

"Fair, when we find him," Hiashi agreed.

"I have no choice," Hizashi bowed his head in defeat.

"Alright, until then, you are welcomed to stay within the palace," Minato offered, making the two Hyuuga nod in agreement. They would settle the matters about Neji once he was found.

"Now setting that aside, let's concentrate on your guards." Hiruzen turned to Minato first, "What have you decided for yours?"

"I am stripping them off their titles and having them sent out to work as commoners. They are also not allowed to return anywhere near the royal family," Minato called his verdict, and Hiruzen noted it down, nodding his head.

"I expect that the judging of Rock Lee is also for you?"

"I think Lee was placed in a position that he had no choice in, or at least he thought he had no choice. I feel like he could have told us and we could have found a better solution to save his wife sooner, for that I feel he's been punished enough in the loss of their child, but I am taking their titles away, and they are also not allowed near the royal family,"

Hiashi scoffed, "You're so soft on these people Minato, what stops them from returning to hurt you and your family?"

"I have fate that it won't be the case,"

"Whatever,"

"On Deidara, Sasori?" Hiruzen asked.

"They are loyal and I deem it as self defense. I have no reason to punish them." Minato smiled.

Hiruzen nodded, "For Lord Uchiha, seeing as he is a high class individual despite being engaged to Prince Sasuke, I will be judging him." Minato felt fear grip his heart as he watched the old man go over his notes. "I am deeming his actions under self defense, his future husband and family were threatened and he did what he believed was right. If he had killed Prince Neji then I wouldn't be so lenient, but as far as things have been said, it seems Prince Neji was not hurt or killed by him." Minato released a breath he didn't even know he was holding when Hiruzen decided Itachi's fate.

"No!" Hizashi cried, "They said he hurt my son, his intentions were to kill him."

"Intention or not, as long as he didn't do it, I can't convict him of that. All I could do is place a restraining order that Lord Uchiha is not to come near Prince Neji ever again."

"Then I want that order!" Hizashi snapped, "What is to say that barbarian won't try to hurt my son?"

"Alright," Hiruzen agreed, then turned to Hiashi, "What of your guards King Hiashi,"

King Hiashi didn't hold back, making sure to give Minato a condescending look, "I want them to be sentenced to death for their actions in making the royal Hyuuga family look bad. I don't appreciate having to come and correct their mess."

Hiruzen sighed, not liking the sentencing but there was nothing he could do to go against it. Different places went about doing things the way they best saw fit. If this was their punishment, he wasn't going to argue it. "Now for the case of Orochimaru and Tenten, I ask for the permission to judge these two. I know that you are too extreme King Hiashi, and I know you are too soft, King Minato." Both men nodded and allowed him to proceed. "Seeing as Orochimaru has already been stripped of everything, and Tenten hold nothing, their sentencing will be to be branded traitors where anyone can see it, and their dominant hand will be cut off. They are also not to come near any royal family and have to work the rest of their lives in honest labor."

Both kings nodded in agreement to the sentencing.

"Now, is there anything else that we have to cover?" Hiruzen asked as he was sure that they had gone over every person now that needed a sentence.

"Except for Prince Neji, I believe that we are done here," Minato agreed. King Hiashi and HIzashi nodded in agreement as well.

"We will deal with him once Prince Neji appears before us. Now let's go back so we can finish this up." Hiruzen glowered at both men to keep them from arguing with each other.

"What's wrong Sasuke?" Itachi asked as he reached his little brother. Sasuke had stopped just outside the court room doors, kicking and punching the wall there. He then folded his arms and ducked his head down in a pout, his eyes narrowing when he spotted his brother. Itachi smiled, amused by the sight of his love. "Sasuke."

"I'm so sick of it, Itachi! I'm so tired of people trying come between us I just can't anymore. Why must everything be so difficult?" Sasuke puffed his cheeks willing himself not to cry. "I'm so frustrated. I don't like how life at every turn keeps trying to break us apart…" Sasuke was so angry yet by the end sounded so defeated, as he whispered. "I don't want to lose you."

Itachi tentatively reached for Sasuke, tugging him close to himself. "Endure with it this last time Sasuke. Nothing will break us apart, not even this when nothing so far has. We will get through this, it will be alright."

Sasuke sighed, burying his face into Itachi's chest as he gritted his teeth. "I will kill anything that tries!" He hissed, his arms coming around Itachi's waist, hugging him tightly. Damned will be the day that he would allow anyone to take Itachi from him. Itachi ran his fingers through Sasuke's hair, smiling at his words. If Sasuke wanted bloodshed over this, Itachi would gladly help him in his endeavor. For now, he had knew that he wasn't going to be locked up.

"We should get back before they return. I still have to be present," Itachi gently murmured. Sasuke hesitated, thinking how they should run away, but knew he had to stay strong and stand beside Itachi for this.

"Okay," he nodded.

About an hour later, everyone in the court room stood to greet the return of the Judge Hiruzen and the two kings and Hizashi. Itachi and Sasuke again defiantly didn't stand, not that anyone seemed to care if they did or not anyways. Hiruzen asked them to sit down as he too took his seat, and proceeded to read out the sentencing that had been decided.

Sasuke had tightened his hold on Itachi's arm as he waited for his verdict.

The guard Ko cried when he was told that he was sentenced to death along with the rest of the men he had tried to protect. He had looked at his king, but had held his tongue in begging for an answer as to why they were going to face death. They had just been trying their best to serve the Hyuugas. They thought they were doing just fine in following Prince Neji's orders.

Ko and the other guards right now all spat and cursed the name Prince Neji as they sat their silently.

Tenten had cried when she was told that she would be not only losing her hand but that she was going to have to work to provide for herself outside in the village. Orochimaru simply bowed his head and accepted his punishment, as much as he would like to argue it, he felt that it was not the time.

Minato's guards all bowed their heads as well as they thanked their lucky stars that at least they would be walking away with their life. They had learned their lesson and wanted to repent, as they were stripped of their titles and would now also have to work to provide for themselves.

"Lord Uchiha, as for you, we have judged that you acted in self defense, but also went too far. You are ordered to not be allowed anywhere near Prince Neji." Hiruzen said.

Itachi nodded, "Understood."

Sasuke held his breath as if waiting to see if anything else would be said, but Hiruzen had moved on to the sentencing of the servants. It had already been prejudged that any servant that betrayed the royal family was going to be kicked out and not allowed back, as well as branded traitors. That would make it difficult to be servants again and were better off finding a job of their own. Deidara and Sasori felt relief as they were judged under self defense as well.

After that Hiruzen finally dismissed them from the court.

A few days after the trials, Itachi really buckled down and decided he needed to confront both Tsunade and Shizune about what a male pregnancy entailed. He was already on edge that the Hyuuga's were still sticking around, so he had asked Sasuke to choose anything so that preparations for their wedding could go underway. Sasuke had whined and pouted at him that he just wanted to get married already the next day.

Itachi found that he had to explain why things didn't work that way.

That was why his marriage to Sasuke was coming in two weeks as it had finally been decided. Or in this case, Sasuke had finally made up his mind to give his uncle the date that he wanted. It was reasonable, judging that their wedding wasn't going to be the large event that Naruto and Kyuubi's had been.

There were going to have to be quick preparations, but Itachi felt it was too soon. It meant that Itachi's time was limited in gathering all the information he needed before he and Sasuke left.

After all, they were leaving the day after their marriage.

This part of the preparations fell on Itachi, as he faced King Minato who in turn asked him why he didn't say anything on being a High born. Itachi explained that he had tried, but Minato had insisted that he court Sasuke like the others at the time, rather than listening to him. Minato apologized, and explained how he just wanted the best for Sasuke, and Itachi confided with the man that he wanted the same. Minato had looked like he was near tears when Itachi told him his plans to take Sasuke back to Sharingan, where they would live in the main Uchiha Estate.

King Minato had then stood and hugged Itachi, happily saying, "Welcome to the family Itachi, please take good care of Sasuke for me!"

With that out of the way, Itachi decided to tackle the other challenge he had facing him. Which so happened to be confronting Tsunade and Shizune on male pregnancy. He knew he had to be careful with his words, and held onto one of the journals that he had been given for good measure.

"These things have no information on what I can actually expect if and when Sasuke get's pregnant" He said, tossing the journal onto Tsunde's desk. "I need to know exactly what to expect."

"Why do you want to know so much, just tell Sasuke to come to me when it happens!" Tsunade snidely said, crossing her arms as she glared at Itachi.

"I need to know because Sasuke and I will not be living here." Itachi explained, "Sasuke and I plan to go to Sharingan after our marriage."

"What, when was this decided?"

"A few days ago,"

"Does King Minato know about this?" Tsunade asked, on the edge of her seat. She knew already that Naruto and Kyuubi were planning to leave after Sasuke's wedding. But she had not thought that after the wedding Sasuke would be moving out as well. She had just assumed that there was no place for him to go after that. She didn't even think about the part of Itachi being a lord either! Why did she assume Sasuke was going to stay…

"There's nine months in the pregnancy, you guys could just call me to come out when he is nearing the last months before the birthing…" Tsunade tried to reason.

"I heard from Naruto that they hadn't even known they were pregnant for a long time within the pregnancy and they had the forethought to come here, seeking you. I'm afraid when it comes to Sasuke, that will not be the case."

"Tsunade, I think Itachi is concerned about Sasuke being stubborn, I think it's wise for him to want to take initiative and try to find a way to help Sasuke encase they find themselves in a strange predicament. Is something were to happen, Itachi will have to help him." Shizune reasoned with her, gently placing a hand over her shoulder.

Tsunade sighed, yeah she knew how Sasuke could be. "Really Itachi,"The blond woman grinned, "good luck with that boy,"

"I think I will need more than luck," Itachi admitted, offering a small smile.

Tsunade took a deep breath, closing her eyes as she tried to still her heart. "Alright, I will give you lessons. I want you to learn everything I know!" Itachi flinched at the look in her eyes and Tsunade smirked at the look of determination that he held. She couldn't deny how much Itachi loved Sasuke, to even go this far and gain proper knowledge to help him in the future.

That was why she made sure Itachi learned everything that she knew about male pregnancy.

"I heard you were getting married!"

The doors to the living room where thrown open and a red headed girl dressed in a lilac dress and eyeglasses stomped her way inside. Suigetsu and Juugo looked at her, bewilder by her presence. Behind her stood King Minato, looking like he didn't know what to do with her.

Sasuke and Naruto who had been fussing over Nakoru turned to look at her. "Karin," They both said, slightly surprised to see her.

Karin stomped her way over, fuming before she completely changed her demeanor at the sight of Nakoru. "Ah look at you little one, so much cuter than Naruto could ever hope to be," She gushed, moving to pick up the baby. Nakoru started to cry the very moment that she got her hands on him, forcing her to return him to his papa. "Wow, teach him manners would you," she said, crossing her arms.

"Karin, why are you here?" Naruto asked, shocked to see his cousin there. The girl's eyes filled with tears as she threw herself over to Sasuke. Sasuke reached his hands in front of himself, keeping her from hitting him on his abdomen and careful of her movements. He knew how Karin could sometimes be, specially if she wasn't thinking.

Noticing the look that Sasuke was giving her, she had the decency to blush and jump away from him, crossing her arms and clearing her throat. All signs of anger, or tears were gone, her glasses hiding her eyes as she grew serious. "Why are you getting married?" She asked.

Sasuke raised an eyebrow, "Because I am," he naturally answered.

"Whatever happened to the Sasuke that said he would never fall in love, and never marry, where did he go!" She demanded.

Sasuke frowned at her while Naruto laughed, agreeing with her and asking the same thing, "Yeah, where did that Sasuke go?"

Sighing, the raven haired prince said, "How am I supposed to know? I didn't plan this! Ask Itachi."

"Who the hell is Itachi," Karin cried, "Is he the one who stole your heart?"

"Yeah it is," Naruto confidently answered for Sasuke.

"What, when?" Karin was shocked, turning her attention to Naruto, "How did he do it? Maybe I can steal it back!"

Naruto patted Karin's head, "Now, now, Karin, that is something that you would have to ask Itachi, although I'm sure that he doesn't know himself."

Sasuke rolled his eyes as they continued to talk about him.

Suigetsu frowned, crossing his arms as he watched the scene with Juugo beside him, "Who's the nut job?" the white haired guy causing Juugo to shrug.

Suigetsu sighed, it was going to be a long two weeks, he could already tell.

I hear wedding bells for the next chapter...do you guys? Idk...lol. Thank you for reading!
