One night when Inuyasha was gone, Kagome found a new color in her bloodied hand.
"Green," she said. It had been almost two months since the disease began. She supposed she was lucky that it was a slow progression. At least this way she could still travel and focus on the task at hand.
Still, it was very taxing not only on her physical state, but also on her mental and emotional state.
"Green…" Sango murmured as she flipped through the pages. "Green means big changes."
Kagome was about to respond before a coughing fit took her. She lifted a finger up to tell them to wait. And wait they did.
"So green," she said finally, deadpanning, "tells me nothing new. It's completely useless."
