Not long after Aaron had read from Abigail's phone, the whole room started to stir. As if they expected it, they turned to a young Victini who entered the room through the set of double doors.

Abigail didn't recognize her, but remembered what they had said about the Nightlight Hub. When she came in, the other people in the room all gave her different levels of their attention. It was surprising to see a mythical class species here. There were only a few on each continent.

"We got news that a Legendary species has been sighted in person," Victini said. "And, very unfortunately, it does not appear to be good news for Kaigan."

The Samurott, still at a sort table with the Seperior and Buizel Zen, stood up. The Mightyena, Umbreon, and shiny Zorua Aaron on the couch poked their heads over it. Furret was still standing next to them shaking a little with the Quilava Gawain.

"What does that mean?" Samurott asked.

"Well," Victini continued, "apparently its first sighting involved trying to burn down a village of elderly people."

Abigail was a bit confused, probably with the same thoughts everyone else in the room was thinking. That wasn't how the stories went at all. Her heartbeat jumped when she wondered if it was the one she saw. The Victini looked at Abigail, seeming to be able to see it on her face.

"It's not the same one," Victini said. "People are still worried, though. I'll spare you the details the live-stream showed, but nations are piling onto a huge bounty as we speak."

"So Legendary species are real?" Gawain asked. "Not like, mythical class species like you, but Legendary...?"

"Yes," Victini answered, "but I think there's some Nightlight Association business you should know. We've been transporting certain antiques that were rumored to be connected to Legendary species. And all but one of them 'randomly' happened to be stolen or missing."

"All but one?" the Samurott asked.

"Yes, your majesty," Victini said. "It was saved from a violent robbery thanks to a rumored vigilante in a brown cloak the other night."

The room gave Abigail an acknowledging glance. She shifted a bit, but it's not like they all stared at her. She could handle this much.

"We deal with robberies all the time, but the pattern and events requires the special treatment," Victini said. "Especially after certain reports that I went over recently."

Certain events?" Mightyena questioned. "Like what?"

"I won't say anything until I confirm its truth."

"So, we need to get those back or it could be trouble?" shiny Zorua asked.

"Not so easy," Samurott said "We're clearly in the territory of organized crime if a certain set of antiques are being targeted. But it's strange that this is all happening.

"Due to the nature of this, we're calling to make a type of task force," Victini said. "But for now, I'd like to ask the Lodestar a favor."

The Victini only seemed a bit older than Abigail, but that combined with her formality made her want to stay away. She was intimidating.

"Yes?" Abigail asked.

The Victini flew to her and showed a small, red orb with a white center. The pale color was visible and touchable on the outside of the orb, looking like a kind filled doughnut.

"This is the only one of those antiques we have," Victini said, "and that is because you saved it the other night. I want you to hold onto it for us."

"Uhm, why?

"You're very high profile, so we'd know how you lost it if you did. It's also harder to take from someone with your kind of training. So strategically speaking, I think you're the best option. This will be your primary job if you really choose to work with us, although you can expect us to call you for various things."

This job sounded easier on purpose, even if it was important. Abigail was a little relieved. She reached out and took the small object. It was lighter than she thought it would be as she put it in a pocket of her brown cape.

"I'll be giving you a special rank visible on your phone later," Victini said. She turned to the rest of the room, flying up a bit more to address them all. "Sorry to have interrupted celebrations. Kaigan is far from Valor, so there's no physical action to take dealing with this news.

"Alright," Victini said, "sorry to have interrupted the celebrations with all of this. Again, Kaigan is decently far from Valor, so there's no immediate action that needs to be taken. I'll show myself out."

After that, the Victini gently floated out of the room, uncurling her arms from behind her back as she flew out of the doors.

"Maybe we should stick around the Nightlights for longer than we planned to," Zen suggested as he stood up from the short table. "If Legendary species that helped create the world are real, then maybe that means our first ancestors are real, too."

"What do you mean?"

"Azelf, Uxie, and Mesprit," the Zorua answered. "They're said to be our first ancestors, but no one really believes it... I mean, we 'believe' it. Haaaa..."

"Uhm, sorry," Abigail said, "but how does your ancestry work?"

The group turned towards the shiny Zorua all of a sudden making his eyes light up. "Oops."

"All of the blessings increase the amount of energy in our bodies," Mightyena explained, "and have unique differences between our families. In my family, our bodies don't have a physical response for fear, although that's not the same as bravery."

"In my family, we're capable of sensing emotions and thoughts," the Seprerior said. "With enough practice, we can read minds down to semi-accurate sentences. We also feel emotions extremely strongly, so we're rather sensitive empaths."

Abigail mentally started to freak out, and then a little more when she realized the Serperior could probably tell. She didn't like this.

"My family picks up skills quickly and is mentally gifted," Umbreon said. "Often, we're seen a a little... cold."

"I'm gifted?" Quilava asked.

"Yes," Umbreon said, "quite literally."

"What?"

"So, it just runs in your families?" Abigail asked.

"Let's say for example that you wanted to marry my handsome young lad," Umbreon said. Furret accidentally glanced towards the Quilava. A bit of heat rose from her chest to her face.

"If you wanted to marry him we would conduct a ceremony to give you the genetic code using an easy type of transfusion, then your child would be able to have the blessing as well. Otherwise, the child wouldn't. You wouldn't actually receive the Acuitan blessing yourself, but you would hold the potential to have a child with the blessing if it was with a pokemon who actively owns it."

Mightyena spoke up loudly. "Its worked the same in all of our families for generations, but our families only realized this uncanny similarity following a war some centuries ago. That's why our nations treat each other like family, as do we. And the first time we combine all of our efforts into a single ceremony, we see... Well, whatever it all was."

"So, you guys agree?" Buizel asked.

The Serperior, Samurott, Mightyena, and Umbreon all looked around at each other. The quick conversation with their eyes went by quickly. Umbreon spoke up. "Yes. But I expect you all to be responsible and to accept the Lodestar's protection."

"Yeah... That sounds good," Buizel said.

"So, is there anything you want to do to get ready, Abigail?" Zorua asked.

"Well, uhm, not especially," Furret said. "Uhm, for what?"

"Guess I can just say this much," Buizel said. "I think you need to relax really badly. So, what do you want to do?"

Abigail felt a little pushed around, but decided to just dig deep and be honest. There wouldn't be any point keeping silent, and they clearly wanted to do what she wanted.

"I just wanna go to my room and get a massage and watch movies and sleep and... Yah."

"I know how to give massages," Zen said nervously.

The pokemon in the room all looked at him. Buizel put his hands together awkwardly in front of him and looked down. The Samurott and Serperior visibly winced and gave each other tired looks.

"I'll take it," Abigail smiled.

Abigail's face felt hot enough to make her blink a little more, and her tail was moving around a lot. She didn't have the nerve to speak much more.

"I do too," Aaron said.

"He does," Mightyena added. The room glanced at the pair awkwardly, but their eyes suddenly shifted towards the Umbreon staring at the Quilava.

"Uhm... My back is a nice heater," Gawain pointed out. said. He was clearly irritated with himself after talking. "Yah."

Furret's face was starting to feel hot enough to make tears well in her eyes. She lowered her whole body and turned away while barely suppressing laughter.

"I'm going to... Uhm, grab my things from the guest room."

"I'll help," Gawain said.

"I can carry things, too," Aaron added.

The adults in the room started to tense up. They all avoided eye contact, and the Umbreon was cupping his face in his hands as he sat.

"Let's go," Abigail said.

When she walked out of the doors, Gawain, Zen, and Aaron followed at their own paces with tense looks on their faces.

The Umbreon lifted his head up from his face and looked at the other pokemon. Serperior turned to Samurott.

"Why is he acting like a suck-up?" Serperior asked, "I thought you handled teaching him about women."

"But that's what you want me to act like," he replied. Serperior only snorted in reply.

"That girl looks like she has a stress fracture every time she smiles, and she's still better than our kids," Umbreon said, "so I just... Geez, guys."

"My wife died, you can't touch me for this one," Mightyena said.

They all sat in a slight silence for a short moment.

"Someone order some cookies," Mightyena said.
