Maya smiled as she heard Judy and Nick talk about all their adventures together and the things they had accomplished.

"You two have really built an amazing life huh?"

Nick nodded.

"We've definitely tried"

Maya chuckled.

"It sounds like you have done a great job"

Judy sighed.

"I just wish my dad was here to see it"

Nick put his paw on Judy's.

"He knows how much you miss him I promise"

Judy smiled at Nick.

"After Nick's dad died it took years to get back to so called normalcy, it takes time but others will help you get through it, I promise"

They smiled at Maya, Sabrina woke up.

"I think she's hungry, excuse me for a minute"

Judy got up and grabbed Sabrina.

"Dear, you can feed her here I don't mind, I mean if you're more comfortable going into the other room you can"

Judy sat back down.

"No I just didn't want to be disrespectful"

Maya shook her head.

"Nonsense, moms are moms, I understand it all"

Judy smiled as she began to feed Sabrina.

"So how long do you two think you'll stay?"

Nick sighed.

"It's hard to say, this was mostly an escape from what's going on, probably whenever this all blows over"

Maya nodded.

"Sounds good"

A notification came from Nick's phone, he grabbed it and took a look.

"What the hell?"

Judy turned to him.

"What?"

Nick shook his head in disappointment.

"There have been 17 new missing mammal cases in the last hour"

Judy's jaw dropped.

"17?!!"

Nick nodded.

"I have a feeling there's some sort of connection between them and Malcom"

Judy sighed.

"I think you're right"

Nick shook his head as he set his phone back down.

"I can't believe what our life has turned into"

Judy looked at Sabrina.

"Yes the bad outweighs the good but look at what we do have"

He looked over at Sabrina then at Wyatt.

"What we do have is incredible and we have to just live in the moment"

Nick nodded.

"I guess you're right, it's just you don't know Malcom like I do, he doesn't give up"

Maya interrupted.

"Wait Malcom Leaveia? Your old hustle buddy?"

Nick nodded.

"That's the one"

Maya sighed.

"I never thought he'd turn into a mammal that would be tracking others down"

Nick nodded.

"Me neither, but sometimes things change, mammals change, and there's nothing you can do but sit back and watch the world fall apart around you, you'll feel trapped but there's nothing you can do"

They all sat there in silence thinking about the words Nick had said, they were more true then anything, and sometimes the truth hurts.
