Adorned in the attire, Hondo figured he could put on a convincing enough performance as Dax kept him at his side as he decided to report him to the Inquisitor
She seemed surprised that Dax had gotten him so quickly, more than eager to accept the prize and deliver good news to Vader.
Hondo kept his hands behind his back, smirking
"I wouldn't be so gleeful." she assured, shoving Dax ahead of her as they walked, onlookers watching Hondo be walked toward a ship like a captured animal, Inquisitor keeping her eyes ahead toward Dax as he walked in front of her
"Pity we cannot see your face." Hondo smooth talking his captor "I'm certain you are very beautiful." Daxzya could vomit, keeping up his mental counting waiting on the cue
"Your mind games won't work on me. Jedi are forbidden from having attachments." her knowing tone almost a dagger in his side as he looked wounded
"Luckily for you." Hondo assured, unclasping his arms from his back, lightsaber hilt unable to ignite now, swinging the dead hilt into the Inquisitors helmet "I prefer to look a woman in the eyes." she stumbled as they both made a run for it
"Not the best diversion." Hondo insulted as they ran, the looming shadow of her growing closer and closer as she ran after them
"It was the best thing I could come up with." Dax yelled back, finding not much planet to run in as they were caught in a crossroad, Dax went right, Hondo left toward the drunken onlookers they simply watched the chase with hoots and hollers of "get him." and "Take em out."
Hondo probably could consider staying away from Florrum, for the right price of course
Dax hated running, physically he didn't have as much stamina, though he made up for it with evading her as he continued rounding the small grouping of a town square hiding out in the bar slipping under tables and behind the bar as the bartender didn't sell him out once she couldn't find him as he curled himself underneath and made no noise, the bright red coming off the lightsaber stopped all the noise
"Last I saw him, he took a cargo ship. Was headed for some moon." the bartender lied, annoyed that his business was being interrupted as she pressed him for more information "Keep talking."
"Something Prime I think. Now could you get out of here? Your messing with my business."
She accepted the information with a smirk, thinking she'd won and made her way out, setting her sights to Hondo. If she couldn't have two Jedi to present she'd be happy with just one.
Ahsoka figured if she wanted to get in contact with her guide, whomever that was she'd have to figure the best way off Rullo, though she didn't consider herself a Jedi she did appreciate being taught to investigate any potential leads. Maybe her dreams were nonsensical, that they were a manifestation based on her need for stability.
"You've never been alone before." she told herself, "You always gotten involved with people, it's my duty to save as many lives as I can." well that last one was more a lesson from Anakin.
"What would you say to this?" she wondered as her thoughts kept her unfocused on working with Ubrue, Ahsoka mere seconds from burning her hand with the tempering stick.
"Distraction and standing still will draw attention to you." he almost smirked, taking the stick from her and finishing her portion of the job "Normally you are the one instructing me. Guess I've become the master now." he assured.
"Do you think you'd be able to leave here one day? If things get worse under the bucketheads I mean."
Ubrue figured she was probably talking from lack of sleep, she certainly looked like she'd been avoiding sleep if she nearly burned herself with a tool she's been using far longer than him
"I don't have the means to leave, however I wouldn't be opposed to the idea if it were to become something. I would prefer to stay close to those that can keep me alive rather than put me in harm's way."
"You mean Ooli?" she joked, obvious he would never admit to enjoying her company, more than willing to tease her on occasion
That judging glare could burn holes in her head, of course Zabraks aren't ones for romance but how else would they create families and bond if they never do anything but train and battle to become better than their peers.
"Ooli is welcome to come along." He left it at that as he turned back to his work, Ahsoka's knowing smile on her face as she focused on her portion of the job
The cold wasn't a favorable season for some, Ahsoka more than willing to bundle up and stay warm as she couldn't sleep. Wide awake and almost unable to get tired she continued almost reciting those same questions
How could she get off world without ending up going back? she didn't have the answer yet, something in her gut told her she wasn't going to be safe on Rullo much longer
Who was this guide she was searching for, she tossed and turned, feeling as if her clothes were burning her up from the inside out, her head pain seeming unable to end as she figured maybe she could take a walk in the evening, up on her bed pulling off the poncho and left to her gray shirt and dark pants and boots, the cold air helping as she stepped out into the evening, taking that same walking path
The wind being the worst of it, she kept a pattern of breathing slowly through her nose, hoping her headache would go away
She swore she could hear voices in the wind, looking around her surroundings, finding she was alone.
The grass was pretty much gone, she sat and figured the wind wasn't terrible as she tried to figure out what her dreams were telling her
Crying
Blasterfire
People sounding frantic
Why were most Jedi premonitions so hazy? irritated as it didn't give her enough answers, the sounds of it not making much sense
What was she supposed to do, she couldn't blindly venture off Rullo and potentially get herself killed looking for answers
Padme wouldn't know, but her comforting words was something Ahsoka needed right about now
She was dead. Master Plo was dead. Anakin was dead. Obi Wan was dead. Countless clones with individual identities were dead, To now be under the rule of that same monster that caused so many lives to be lost just left her angry. Master Yoda often warned about anger and allowing it to fester to hatred and hatred into suffering.
If she had the option to go back and changes things she would, maybe persuading Anakin and Obi Wan to join her on Mandalore instead of allowing them to go. They should still be here she said it enough times. "You said you'd always be there for me." she almost screamed into the empty space, not caring who she alerted as she finally exploded her thoughts became verbal ammunition hurled into the void
"They never should've told me to leave. You still needed me didn't you." the cold air smacking her in the face as she got to her feet. "You left me here alone to go on without you. You never saw the end of the war, you promised me that if we fought for what was right it made it worthwhile right? You lied you lied and now everyone is gone. Why couldn't you see that you played right into their hands."
Maul had been right, if you put aside the fact he was a Sith and she a Jedi, he had been warning all of them. She wanted the chaos as a diversion to escape and for once it had worked to her disadvantage. She and Rex had survived because they were lucky, those that perished would be forgotten after enough time had passed
A tentative tap on her shoulder jolted her back to her body, realizing she hadn't been physically screaming out loud but rather her thoughts had manifested and were more screamed to herself than anyone in particular
"What are you doing out here?" Zuri's face full of worry, taking her jacket off and wrapping it around Ahsoka "You'll freeze over out here."
Stiff faced in the cold, she said nothing as Zuri got her up, making her walk back with her "What's going on with you?"
"Im just tired." she rationalized, appreciative but annoyed that Zuri had interrupted her what she would give for the tranquility of her quarters of the Temple, nobody could sneak up on her and she could meditate in peace.
"Do you need someone to talk to?"
As if being overtired and the emotional state she puts herself in sometimes, she unloaded onto Zuri "I feel like i'm a danger to those here. Something's coming and we have to be ready for it. "
Zuri's face changed "What do you mean?"
"I can't tell you how, but what I do know is this isn't the safe haven that most civilians think it is. These bucketheads won't simply play patrol and enforce compliance much longer. Something tells me things are going to get much worse."
"What could we do?" Zuri questioned almost in disbelief of her claims "It's not like we have weapons able to take them down or stage an uprising. I think the cold is getting to you."
"If you don't believe me that's fine. But for the time being just be prepared in case things do go south."
"It just seems unlikely." Zuri trying to reason with her, obvious Ahsoka wouldn't back down from her claim "For now if you think there is an obvious risk I'll believe you but I would need some concrete evidence to actually attempt anything resistant."
"I'll find you proof." Ahsoka promised, pulling the jacket closer as the wind picked up
