I have been ill recently. However, I wanted to get a chapter posted for New Year's Day. So sorry this isn't a long one but I hope you still enjoy!

Janine POV-

At first, I couldn't believe them. I wasn't entirely shocked that Rose and Dimitri could have children. I mean after everything they have been through together and separately. With Rose being shadow kissed and Dimitri being resurrected from being Strigoi. What I couldn't believe is that they kept it a secret. I am a grandmother and they never told me. Abe was with me trying to comfort me.

"You're a grandfather you know. A grandfather to two children who are on the run." "What if... what if something happens to them?... what if we never get to meet them properly?" I cried.

"No, no, don't think like that." He tried to reassure me but then he left the room. What! He just left me. What the actual hell? I decided I was going to follow him. I slowly crept out of the room as silently as a guardian could, which is silent, especially for me. Luckily he wasn't right outside our room he was around the corner and I could hear him clearly whilst he couldn't see me.

"I don't care what you fucking do, find those children! If you don't find them. I will have your head, is that understood!" He shouted to someone on the receiver end. I felt kinda bad towards whoever it was. But woah I didn't realise he was just as worked up as I was. He seemed so calm and collected. It should be reversed. He's the moroi here I was the guardian. I should be the calm reassuring one showing only my guardian mask whilst he broke down.

"Just get it done!" He shouted again but this time, less angry and hung up. He then turned the corner to come back to the room.

"You heard me?" He asked shock on his face. All I did was nodded. I understood clearly why he left the room.

"I'm sorry, I didn't want you to hear me like that." How strange, he's змей (zmey) one of the most feared people in the whole world even in the human world, but there isn't anything he wouldn't do for me or his daughter and now I'm guessing his granddaughters. He is sweet and loving and tries his best to keep us from that side of him.

"It's fine. I think we've got a more important conversation to be had with our daughter and her husband. They have some explaining to do, don't you agree?" I asked Abe. To which he nodded, holding his hand out to me which I took and we turned to go towards their bed chambers.

Rose POV-

"Rose, Dimitri. I have received word from the guardians. Your children got away. I am sorry." Lissa said as she was walking in. What, I felt utterly hopeless. I am not an emotional person but this is my children were talking about. That's when I realised. I am being so selfish, what about Adrain and Sydney they have raised all four as their own I need to go and make sure they are alright.

"Thank you, Lissa, they will mess up, then we can find them and go get them," Dimitri said because I was too lost in thought.

"They aren't normal. Amelia bit someone and now that person has a fang shaped scar. Oscar set two people on fire, Skylar and Declan just beat people up badly and Declan is one hell of a runner, faster than the guardians by a long shot." Lissa continued. That's when my mum and dad walked in. They must have heard what she said because the door wasn't shut. That was confirmed by what my dad said next.

"What. Are they part Strigoi? Are you still part Strigoi?" My dad asked looking at Dimitri.

"No, he isn't Strigoi, but I am not sure about the children. They used compulsion on the front gate of the academy to be let out and make them forget about it." Lissa informed us, looking at Abe. "Did you two know about them being able to use compulsion and about them having fangs?" She asked us, she didn't seem to think we knew that when in reality we did.

"Yes," I mumbled, everyone apart from Dimitri turned to look at me I stayed silent until there was a knock on the door. Standing there was Eleanor.

"May I come in?" She asked.

"Actually I think we need to go back to the dining hall and get Adrain and Sydney there too." My mother said, everyone agreed.

"Hello, sweetheart, why are you here?" Lissa asked Eleanor as we made our way back to the dining hall, we were met by Christian, Adrain and Sydney. Once we got there Eleanor continued.

"I came to apologise. Skylar and Declan had a fight and they said certain things, which made me curious. I then realised that Declan, Skylar and Amelia were all wearing necklaces where Oscar wasn't. So I and a group of other girls ganged up on Amelia to get her necklace off her." Sydney gasped at that, completely shocked to know that was the reason how they got figured out.

"She's very strong but when she realised I was the one behind it she stopped immediately because of who I am. No one will ever fight against me" she admitted with a look of guilt and sorrow on her face. "Once the necklace came off, there was a bright yellow light that pushed me and the other girls off her, just like everyone explains it's like when Strigoi get brought back. So I instantly started making connections. It had to be an ex Strigoi, we've never heard of a full Strigoi child before and if they were they wouldn't be able to get past the wards. Then I thought well why would Adrain and Sydney look after two random peoples children, not that I doubt you would, but who would trust two unknown people to look after their children. That's when I made the connection to you Dimitri, at first I thought you had secret children without Rose knowing but that wouldn't make sense, you wouldn't do something like that and if you did you would raise him or her together, I knew how much you treated me and Bradley like your own. That's when I realised why you had Adrian and Sydney raise them because they wouldn't be safe but at that point, everyone else already knew and it was too bad to take it back. Then this morning Ethan came over to me demanding what I did, apparently, Amelia said it had something to do with me, I never thought they would run away. I am so very, very sorry." Eleanor was crying now. I felt slightly angry towards her but not enough to be angry with her. She's a child unaware of what her actions would do to others. She was curious and didn't like secrets being kept from her, she's like Lissa in that way but more aware of when secrets are being kept from her just like Christian.

She left after that, Lissa and Christian kept apologising to me, Dimitri, Sydney and Adrain for her actions but I knew none of us blamed her for how this all ended up.

"Lis people would have found out eventually, it was only a matter of time. However, we still need to find them." I told her reassuringly.

-A few hours later-

Me, Dimitri, Abe, Janine, Sydney, Adrain, Jill, Eddie, Leo, Christian and Lissa were all still in the dining room trying to figure out where they have gone. Then there was a knock on the door.

"Come in." Lissa requested and in walked guardian Moore.

"My queen." He greeted Lissa and bowed, I know how much she hated that, but she is the queen so she didn't get much of a choice. He continued, "we've located the children's last known location, Vancouver, Canada, however, it is believed they have rented out a boat for a week and taken the tracking device off and thrown it in the sea. We are unable to tell where they will land. I am sorry." They have left the country, how are we going to find them now?

"Thank you guardian Moore keep us updated please." Lissa thanked him. He bowed and left the room.

Amelia's POV-

Declan and this guy directed us towards this crystal white yacht. There were two bedrooms, me and Skylar would share whereas Declan and Oscar would share. There a living room area just big enough to fit us and came with customary books, with a large enough kitchen but only one bathroom, there was also plenty of space to train and fight each other outside, there was also a dip in the back where we could get off of the boat easier to swim. It was beautiful, sweet and more then I expected to have during this, we are running, but why not run in style? Declan has thought about the escape a lot and must've thought there were certain things we could splurge on during our travels. Once we were on and the man walked back to the hut, Declan started the engine.

"Where did you learn how to drive a boat?" I asked.

"I didn't, I don't know how to, I'm just going by what I've seen in movies," Declan replied. That did not make me feel good. We are going to die on this boat I can feel it.

After a while he stopped the boat and started looking around, he searched high and low broke the engine apart a bit which, to be honest, scared the shit out of me, what is he doing, then he pulled something out. Threw it on the ground and put the engine back together.

"What the hell dec, how did you learn to do that and what is this, don't we need it?" Asked Skylar picking the thing up.

"No." Was all he said in response. He then stripped to just his boxers and jumped in the water, what is he doing, he swam around and under the boat, holding his breath, he was under the water for nearly two whole minutes. I was starting to panic when he came back up holding something similar to the thing on the boat in his hands.

"What is it?" I asked Declan as he got out of the water with it.

"Tracking devices." He responded. "I think I've checked everywhere, there's only two." He then picked up the second one and threw them both into the water letting them sink to the bottom.

"Right, now let's go." He said walking away taking his boxers off for a new pair out of his bag and putting his clothes back on.

We ended up taking eight whole days on the boat until it started running out of gas. During our time, we had run out of food and we would have to have stopped for food soon, we got to swim around the boat a lot, we had trained, fighting each other a lot, I ended up reading three whole books during this time if I could've I actually would have done some homework I was that bored. So we pulled to the closest shoreline we could see and went to dock the boat up. It wasn't until I saw this big statue of a man in a dress, I think it's called Christ the Redeemer, that I realised we are in Rio De Janeiro Brazil.

Skylar squealed in excitement, I was just excited to get some food.

"Please tell me we are staying here for a while?" Skylar asked Declan.

"We can stay for a week but that's it," Declan said.

"Oh thank you, thank you, thank you." Skylar kept replying. "There's so much to see and do. Let's go" Skylar squealed. Then she added on, "undercover of course, hats and gloves and stuff. Got to keep ourselves hidden."

Happy New Years everyone! Let's cross our fingers that this year will be better. I want to thank everyone for reading my story! I hope you are all still enjoying the escape they are pulling off. I have a lot more planned before they get to their final destination. Quite a few more chapters to still go until they 'settle down'. Realistically if you are running you can't stay in one place for too long that's too obvious. That's also why Rose and Lissa was found, they stayed still for too long and they are not repeating the same mistake as they did. Also because of who they are, there is a lot of people who could be looking for them. Such as the guardians, other moroi, alchemists and even human authority. Also, what does Abe have up his sleeve? I want to add different dynamics to this story such as I hope to add more comedy into this. So you have that look forward to. I also want to add that Rose and Dimitri and the others might not be in every chapter this is based on their children but I thought the reactions needed to be in here. Anyways sorry for rambling on.
