The day after the movies, Mitsuki went to see Orochimaru for a check-up since he was unsure why he was getting that uneasy, gloomy feeling so often lately. While Orochimaru analyzed the samples, Suigetsu stayed with Mitsuki to catch up on the village's updates.
"You know it gets boring here. I wish I could go to the movies too, but Lord Orochimaru has me busy with tons of work. What movie did you watch?"
"To be honest, I don't remember the name. It was a horror movie, but it was ridiculous. I don't know why Chocho was so scared."
"Chocho? Did you go with a girl? Are you going out with girls now, Mitsuki?" Suigetsu asked with a mischievous look. "I thought you went with Boruto."
In his usual matter-of-fact demeanor, Mitsuki replied, "I went with Boruto. We ran into Chocho and this guy from the Sand Village. Boruto thinks that they were on a date." After he finished his sentence, he felt the uneasy, gloomy feeling again. "It is the sensation again," he warned Suigetsu.
Suigetsu checked Mitsuki's vitals just in case. "Everything looks normal. We will have to wait for Lord Orochimaru's assessment. Do you remember the first time you had that sensation?"
After taking a second to think, Mitsuki recalled, "These visiting shinobi from the Stone village said inappropriate things about a friend, and we almost got into a fight."
"Maybe you were worried about your friends' safety?" Suigetsu asked with an unconvinced look. He wanted to know the inappropriate things they said but did not want to look too nosy.
"I don't think so. Those guys were not particularly challenging rivals."
With a naughty face, Suigetsu asked, "What about the inappropriate things that were said. Did you get offended by them?"
"Well, not exactly. They said that they wanted to have intercourse with one of my friends."
Suigetsu regretted asking since he did not want to hear messy teenage drama, so he moved on from that conversation. "What about another time you had that feeling? There could be a connection?"
He was remembering that time when Chocho was speaking about Shinki. "Chocho was talking about the guy from the Sand Village and how strong their connection was."
Suigetsu started to connect the dots. The name Chocho came up twice. "The inappropriate comments you were talking about earlier were about that Chocho girl, right?"
"Yes," Mitsuki replied.
'I bet this guy is crushing on that Chocho girl, and he is jealous of that Sand guy,' Suigetsu thought. "I will bring Karin. She has expertise in this subject matter."
He left to look for Karin and thought, 'I wonder if Lord Orochimaru ever thought that his genetically perfect son was going to have teenage romance issues, hahaha.'
"Hey Karin, come to the examination room. We need your expertise."
"My expertise? What is it? She was intrigued. She usually was never involved when it came to Mitsuki or Log.
In a somber tone, he replied, "Unrequited teenage love. Remember when you were in love with Sasuke, but he was not interested?"
Unsurprisingly, Karin punched Suigetsu in the head. "What are you saying?! I was one more collaborator like you and Jugo. NOTHING ELSE!"
Suigetsu recovered from the hit. "Whatever you said. Anyway, can you come? Lord Orchimaru's most perfect creation might be in the middle of a teenage love triangle."
Karin ran inside the examination room. "My sweet Mitsuki. Tell me everything. I might be the only one here who gets you, and I can guide you."
Mitsuki was bewildered by her exaggerated reaction. He occasionally had a weird feeling, but she acted like it was the end of the world. He explained what he was feeling to Karin as he previously did to Suigetsu.
"My diagnosis is that you have a crush on that Chocho girl," Karin stated.
"A crush?" A curious Mitsuki asked.
"It is when you have special feelings for someone. When you are attracted to them, you think they are cute or interesting."
"I am not sure if I have a crush on Chocho. I am not familiar with that human emotion." Mitsuki calmly replied, but in his head, he thought it could be a possibility.
"I think it is the case. The uneasy feeling you are having is when you are jealous that Chocho is getting or giving attention to other people, like the Sand guy."
Orochimaru entered the room after finishing analyzing Mitsuki's samples. He was intrigued by seeing Karin interrogating Mitsuki.
"So do you like this girl? Meaning, do you find her attractive?" She inquired.
"Many boys find her attractive. I think of her as a fascinating human being. She is freshness itself and has the tragic heroine syndrome." Mitsuki explained.
Orochimaru interrupted, "The results are back. Everything is okay with you, Mitsuki."
"Don't worry about it, Lord Orochimaru. I have already diagnosed the problem. He has a crush on a girl." Karin proudly stated while adjusting her eyeglasses.
"Wait a second! I was the one who caught it. I just asked you to confirm it, Karin", Suigetsu said, showing his annoyance for Karin taking all the credit.
Intrigued by their diagnosis, Orochimaru asked Mitsuki, "Who is this girl? Is it Sasuke's kid?"
Still keeping his calm demeanor, Mitsuki responded, "I don't think their assessment is accurate. And they are not talking about Sarada."
"Her name is Chocho, and Mitsuki is jealous that she is giving attention to a guy from the Sand Village," Karin stated, backing up her diagnosis.
Orochimaru was intrigued, seeing that Mitsuki might have been developing romantic feelings. It was entirely unexpected since he was a partial clone of himself, and Orochimaru had never experienced that type of emotion. This development was definitely due to the socialization in Mitsuki's new environment.
"If their assessment is correct, you can eliminate the Sand guy, and problem solved," Orochimaru suggested.
Mitsuki did not acknowledge the suggestion and excused himself to go back to the Leaf Village since. He had to buy food for his cat, Mitsuki, and could not spend more time listening to the crush and jealousy conversation.
As soon as he left, Suigetsu said with a nostalgic tone, "Our little boy is growing so fast." Then he switched to a serious one, "Lord Orochimaru, I think you need to have 'the talk' with Mitsuki, or he might make you a grandparent by accident."
Orochimaru gave him the side-eye, not for 'the talk' comment, but for calling him a grandparent.
A scared Suigetsu quickly added, "It is just advice. The youth nowadays are precocious, and Mitsuki seems to like this girl. He said, 'She is freshness itself,' whatever that means."
"I see. Run a report on her." Orochimaru ordered.
"On it, boss!" Suigetsu replied. "So, the girl is from the Akimichi clan."
Orochimaru turned with astonishment, "I see. He favors big girls."
With a bubbly tone uncharacteristic of Suigetsu, he said, "He likes big for sure."
That tone made Orochimaru and Karin curious. They saw the computer screen to see the pictures. Orochimaru's first impression, "Oh, big like Tsunade. She does not look like most Akimichis."
"She is so gorgeous. I don't know if Mitsuki has a chance against the Kazekage's kid," Karin said.
Orochimaru gave her a skeptical look, "Mitsuki is genetically perfect. He is beautiful. I am sure this girl appreciates his unarguable beauty."
"It takes more than a pretty face to impress a girl, Lord Orochimaru. Mitsuki's competition is being groomed to be a Kage."
"I still believe the Kage in training is not competition for Mitsuki." Orochimaru had a proud parent moment.
