Chapter 8: The Encounter

Hiro was in the café helping his aunt with the customers when Fred came in. Fred rushed over to Hiro and was panting like crazy while holding something in his hand.

"What's the matter Fred?" Hiro asked while serving a customer their food.

"…Have you heard the news?" he asked excitedly, even though he was still panting.

"What news?" Hiro questioned while giving him a confused look.

"The police are giving Big Hero 6 badges of honor!" he shouted with extreme excitement. Everyone in the café looked at him like he was crazy.

"Uh… Never mind," Fred said noticing the eyes, and everyone went back to eating.

"When?" Hiro asked when no one was paying attention anymore.

"Tomorrow at noon!" Fred said happily, as dread began to form on Hiro's face.

"What's the matter, Hiro? Is something wrong?" Aunt Cass asked with a worried look on her face.

"It's nothing. Really!" Hiro spoke as he went back into the kitchen to finish filling orders, the look on his face saying otherwise.

Later That Night….

Hiro was out patrolling the streets like usual when he got an extremely bad feeling. It wasn't like he hadn't done this thousands of times before, but this time, he was sure that there was something bad was fixing to happen. He just couldn't put his finger on it. That's when he saw him: the man in black. Hiro was reminded of the man in black that they had faced with Sora, Donald, and Goofy last year, but this time was different from back then. He didn't get the feeling that this person was out of place like he did with the guy from before. This time, he got a familiar feeling, as if he knew this person. Then the man's hands lit on fire. The fire was black and purple, like it was darkness itself.

Baymax landed and Hiro got off of him. As he approached the man in black, Hiro started seeing some of the man's features. His long black hair was spiky and shaggy; his face was hidden by the hood he was wearing and his hair. The long black trench coat that he was wearing had purple chains on it. His black pants were neatly folded at the ends where they met his ankle and covered the tops of his black boots. He also wore black gloves.

The fires went out as Hiro approached the man.

"It's been a long time since I last saw you," the man spoke with a gentle voice, catching Hiro off guard.

"W-who are you?" Hiro asked, confused by the man's words.

"You wouldn't believe me, but I've know you for a long time. Anyway, my name is _," the stranger spoke, shocking Hiro.

"What—," Hiro spoke, not believing he had heard the man right.

"You should go before Baymax comes looking for you. You don't want to let your teammates down, right?" the man spoke before vanishing as a gust of wind came into the alley.
