Gene slept and dreamed about a time he was at a strip club with Chelsea and Shirley, the three lied about their ages and watched the dancers. Gene looked on enthusiastically at the female dancers, they smiled as they performed and they left after it was ever,
"Um, Gene, we need to talk." Chelsea said,
"Yeah?" Gene asked,
"Shirley and I think something has awakened inside of you." Chelsea stated,
"Yeah, I noticed I've taken a liking to women all of a sudden." Gene replied,
"Gene, we think that your lust for girls could have awakened after Vincent made you touch my breast." Shirley stated,
"Now that you mention it, I have taken a liking to girls much more after that." Gene recalled,
"Don't you think your parents would be ashamed of you?" Chelsea asked,
"Nope, my dad got me porn magazines, and I learned my mom loved being a party animal, they would've been proud." Gene responded,
"Wow, that's unusual." Shirley commented,
"Come on, let's go home before we get in trouble." Gene said, and they did.
Gene woke up and he got off of the couch, he relieved himself outside and decided to sit and relax, his phone rang afterwards and he answered,
"Hello." Gene said,
"What are you doing?" Eddie asked,
"Recovering from capturing my last target." Gene replied,
"Oh, well, hurry up and get ready, Chelsea, Shirley, and John are on the loose again, catch at least one of them by the end of the day." Eddie ordered,
"Alright, I'll get on it, I'm gearing up right now." Gene responded,
"Good, don't die on us." Eddie said, and he hung up. Gene decided not to go after them and looked around John's cabin, he found the pictures and many more, he saw pictures of himself with the gang and more pictures of the gang with Norman and Sharon in it, he looked down while he remembered Harry and Ron killing his father, he finished remembering and he left the cabin.
Gene walked to the house Velvet stayed at and the kids were already gone, he looked around and found a box of video tapes, he checked them and saw they were all unlabelled, he set them aside and went back outside.
Gene walked around and tried to remember where the mansion was, he did and saw it was decaying, he entered it and everything was gone, he had various flashbacks of living in the mansion and his training with the adults, he looked around and did not find anything, even the room he once slept in was empty, he looked down and went back outside. Gene stood in the front yard and looked forward, he noticed the place around the mansion has not changed, his phone ringed and he answered it,
"Hello." Gene said,
"Hey, you didn't call yesterday." Jim said on the other side,
"Sorry, I was busy." Gene replied,
"Is everything alright, Gene?" Melfina asked,
"Yeah, I might actually be able to come back soon." Gene answered,
"Make sure you get me a gift when you come back." Aisha commanded,
"Don't count on it, Aisha, I don't have the time." Gene replied,
"Do you know when you will be able to come back?" Suzuka questioned,
"Maybe tonight if I'm lucky." Gene replied,
"You better bring home some good money when you get back." Jim demanded,
"Don't worry, I will, I'm making it big." Gene assured,
"Can we party when you get back?" Aisha asked,
"I'm not really in the mood for partying, Aisha." Gene answered,
"You sound rather sad, Gene, is something on your mind?" Suzuka asked,
"No, I'm just seeing old places again that I haven't seen in years during my time here." Gene replied,
"I'd like to see." Melfina stated,
"Sorry, but the places are decayed and empty now, they look nothing like how they used to." Gene responded,
"Really? That's too bad." Jim commented, Gene's phone rang again,
"Sorry, but my boss for work is calling me, I gotta go." Gene said,
"Bye, Gene." Jim replied,
"Stay safe." Melfina added, and they hung up. Gene answered the person calling him on the other side,
"What is it?" Gene asked,
"Some of our other police officers have reported seeing John, I'll send you the map and location now." Eddie answered, and he did, Gene looked at it and put the phone back on his ear,
"Why don't you do it?" Gene questioned,
"I would if I could, but Cindy and I have reports to file about the gang you caught." Eddie replied,
"Can't you send someone else to do it?" Gene asked,
"Sorry, but everybody's scared of confronting John." Eddie answered,
"Oh, I'm honestly not surprised to hear that." Gene stated,
"Well, go on, don't keep the cops waiting." Eddie said, and he hung up, Gene got ready and headed there.
Gene arrived at his destination while asking for directions from the people and looked for John,
"He's not anywhere." Gene commented, he soon heard gunshots and ducked,
"What the?" Gene questioned, and he saw several people firing at him and Eddie standing in the back, he looked at the people and realized some of them were from the heists he did with the gang many years ago,
"Eddie! You backstabbing liar!" Gene hollered, and the people fired guns at him and he quickly ran while Eddie smirked. Gene took cover and saw he did not have enough ammo to take on everyone, he ran away but soon heard vehicles, he saw cars coming and more people came out of them and fired their guns. Gene took cover and opened fire at them, he shot and killed two of them and ran around while people fired at him, a bullet grazed his side and he grunted loudly, a large man jumped on him and Gene quickly took his knife out and stabbed him in his abdomen when he landed on him, he screamed and soon died. Gene held him up and ran while using the man's body as a shield, he shot and killed a man in front of him and then entered the car he came out of and drove away.
Gene drove the car away from the scene and he soon saw a person on a motorcycle in his rear view window, the person chased him and Gene sped up the car, he watched carefully and the person continued chasing him on the motorcycle, he came to a part of the road filled with swerves and turns, he moved the steering wheel quickly and made the first turn, he did the second turn and then the third turn and came back to a straight road, he sighed with relief and kept driving while the person on the motorcycle continued chasing him. Gene drove quickly as he watched the road and the person chasing him, the person reached down to their thigh and took out a pistol, the person aimed and fired it and Gene ducked while the bullet went through the rear window and windshield. Gene got back up and drove more and saw oncoming traffic, he drove past them while the drivers hit their emergency brakes, the person on the motorcycle drove past them at high speeds and almost crashed into them. Gene drove more and saw several crates of fruits and vegetables, he drove past them and the car destroyed some of them and spilled them everywhere, he turned the car around and drove as fast as he could, he saw the person on the motorcycle and he hit the person off of the motorcycle and ran the person over. Gene came out of the car and looted the person's corpse for the gun and bullets, he heard motorcycles and saw two more coming, he quickly got back in the car and drove away.
Gene drove and he saw spike strips on the road, he swerved and barely avoided them, he watched the two motorcycle drivers avoid them easily, he drove more and saw more people up ahead armed with guns, they shot up Gene's car until it caught on fire, he turned the car around and drove it to the two motorcycle drivers they screamed as the car came, Gene jumped out at the last second when it was in front of them, he shot the car a few times and it exploded and killed the two motorcycle drivers, Gene ran away while the people fired guns at him.
Chelsea and Shirley were walking around a city area and they heard the news on the TV,
"Shirley, wait, let's see what this is about." Chelsea said, and she looked,
"As you all know, the members of the notorious gang once ran by Vincent has mostly been captured, but Chelsea, Shirley, and John have escaped prison, there is an attempt to catch one of the members here and live." the news announcer stated, and the image changed and showed Gene running and shooting at the people after him,
"It's Gene!" Shirley stated,
"Come on, Shirley." Chelsea said, and they ran.
John was in a bar and drinking beer and he heard the news on the TV,
"Gene?" John said as he looked on, he saw the location marked on a map on the TV and he paid for his drank and ran outside.
Gene ran and fired his pistol at the people hired to kill him, he killed a few and saw Eddie and Cindy in sight, he overheard them and realized they were arguing,
"This wasn't part of the deal, Eddie!" Cindy fumed,
"You're still a rookie, Cindy, I can't share everything with you." Eddie replied,
"You said we were going to arrest Gene and take him to jail with everyone else." Cindy said,
"I tried, but he resisted, and I had to call for help." Eddie responded,
"Who are those people?" Cindy questioned,
"People that got robbed during their heists, and family and friends of those they killed." Eddie replied,
"Speaking of the other gang members, where is Velvet?" Cindy asked,
"Why you ask?" Eddie questioned,
"She wasn't in her cell this morning." Cindy replied,
"Maybe she escaped." Eddie commented,
"No, if she did, there would've been a report, there wasn't one." Cindy countered,
"What is your point?" Eddie inquired,
"What happened to her?" Cindy questioned,
"I don't know." Eddie replied,
"What do you mean you don't know?" Cindy asked,
"Exactly what I mean, I don't know what happened to her." Eddie explained, Cindy glared at him,
"I'm going to investigate myself." Cindy said, and she walked away. Gene continued to hide from the people out to kill him and they looked for him, he hid behind a tree and noticed Eddie had a facial expression of indifference,
"He's over here." Eddie said, and the people began running and firing at where Gene was at,
"Shit." Gene said, and he ran away.
Gene ran and the people continued to chase him and shoot him, he looked up ahead and saw one person get tackled to the side and one person got her head punched off, he looked and saw it was Chelsea and Shirley, they killed the remaining people in front of him,
"Gene, over here." Chelsea hollered, and he ran to them,
"You alright?" Shirley asked,
"Yeah, but one of those cops who sent me to arrest you guys sold me out and contacted the people and their families and friends of the people we robbed and killed during our heists." Gene explained,
"The male cop or the female cop?" Chelsea asked,
"The male cop." Gene replied,
"Well, let's go, Gene, we'll get him later." Chelsea said, and they ran from their pursuers.
Gene, Chelsea, and Shirley ran while the pursuers chased them, Gene looked back and shot his pistol several times and killed three of them, one pursuer shot Shirley in her back and she screamed while Chelsea held her up and they kept running, an arrow flew above their heads and landed behind the three, the pursuers stopped and saw dynamite tied to the arrow,
"Get back!" a male pursuer ordered, and they did as the arrow exploded and killed most of them. Gene, Chelsea, and Shirley looked forward and saw John,
"John!" Chelsea said,
"Come on, you three." John instructed, and they ran to him while the pursuers came, John put his bow down and looked back, he aimed a big machine gun with a bullet belt on it and fired, he killed many of the pursuers and Gene fired his pistol while Chelsea and Shirley covered their ears', Gene ran out of ammo and he put his pistol away while John continued firing until he was out of bullets, he threw the gun down and the four ran away.
Gene ran with John, Chelsea, and Shirley as the people chased them and John shot arrows with dynamite on them to slow down their pursuers,
"Just a little farther, you three, I have a landmine with me." John said,
"Where did you get it?" Shirley asked,
"I got it from my cabin when I heard about Gene getting attacked on the news, I have a secret room in there." John replied,
"You need help planting it?" Gene asked,
"No, but I do need to be defended." John replied, and they saw it, John began planting the landmine while Gene, Chelsea, and Shirley defended him, the pursuers arrived and Chelsea changed to her were-mantis form and Shirley changed to her were-hyena form, they attacked and killed the pursuers while Gene fired a caster shell and the explosion killed several pursuers,
"It's ready." John said, and they all ran away. The pursuers went after them and one stepped on the landmine, it exploded and killed all of them. Gene looked at the dead bodies and he looked back,
"What do we do now?" Gene asked,
"Lay low, it's likely more of their families and friends and cops will come after us now." John responded,
"Gene, that reminds me, Eddie tried to kill us in our jail cells." Shirley stated,
"What? He did?" Gene questioned,
"Yeah, he came into our cell at night and attacked us." Chelsea replied,
"Eddie tried to kill me too, but I managed to knock him out." John added,
"So they did lie to me about that as well." Gene stated,
"Gene, we think it's just Eddie, that woman cop seems to believe that we really could reform and change our ways." Chelsea replied,
"I think so too, Cindy does look honest." Gene stated,
"I'm going to go into hiding for now, I'll track you three down if I need anything, you three should do the same." John suggested, and he left.
Gene, Chelsea, and Shirley walked around and they wondered what to do next,
"Are you going to stay here, Gene?" Shirley asked,
"Sorry, but I have to get back to Heifong." Gene replied,
"Let's try to have fun while you're still here." Chelsea suggested,
"I don't know what to do right now, though." Gene responded,
"Why don't we look for Vincent?" Chelsea asked,
"I guess." Gene replied, and they went into town and began asking about Vincent's whereabouts, but everybody said they had no clue where he could be,
"Wow, nobody knows where Vincent is." Shirley stated,
"Yeah, it's like he just up and vanished." Chelsea responded,
"Well, I guess we'll have to search, ourselves." Gene said, and they all began looking around and could not find Vincent anywhere,
"Gene." a female voice said, they turned around and saw Cindy running to them, she had a lot of money with her,
"Here, take this, it's your reward for catching the former gang members, we'll look for Vincent, ourselves." Cindy said,
"What happened to Eddie?" Gene asked,
"I reported his actions to his superiors, he's been suspended." Cindy replied,
"Eddie tried to kill us in our cell the night we were arrested." Chelsea said,
"What?" Cindy asked, her facial expression changed to one of shock and horror as she realized what happened to Arnold, Peter, and Velvet,
"No." Cindy said,
"What's the matter?" Shirley asked,
"I need to report to his superiors about that, too, you two are free to go for now, call the police if Eddie comes after you three." Cindy replied, and she ran away,
"Come on, Gene, let's have fun." Chelsea said,
"Hold on, I got a bill to pay first." Gene replied, and he walked.
Gene went to the hospital and he entered,
"Oh, it's you." the receptionist said,
"Here's my money for the bill." Gene stated as he paid them, the receptionist counted the money,
"Yup, it's enough, 35,000 wong, since you're a day late, you need to pay the late fee." the receptionist stated,
"How much?" Gene asked,
"1,000 wong for each day late." the receptionist replied, and he paid her,
"Okay, you're done, I honestly didn't think you'd come back and pay." the receptionist stated,
"Of course I would, I always pay my bills." Gene responded,
"Well, thanks, have a good day." the receptionist said, and he, Chelsea, and Shirley left.
Gene walked to the space station and paid for a space taxi and they entered,
"Trust me, you two are going to like Sentinel III." Gene said, and the space taxi drove,
"This is the first time I've been to space." Shirley stated,
"Yeah, me too." Chelsea added,
"It takes time to get used to, I almost vomited my first few times." Gene replied, and they looked out the windows at space,
"Wow, this emptiness is a bit unnerving." Shirley commented,
"It's pretty refreshing when you want to be alone." the driver responded,
"It wasn't that refreshing for me." Gene replied,
"Well, it's probably because you were drifting in an escape pod." Chelsea stated,
"Yeah, that's not fun, you don't know how long you'll be stuck when that happens." the driver replied,
"Well, I guess we'll enjoy the view for now." Chelsea said, and they did and they soon arrived on Sentinel III,
"This way." Gene said, and he took them to Locus and Clyde's Bar.
Clyde was cleaning a mug and Iris was serving customers while they heard people enter,
"What'll it be?" Clyde asked,
"The usual, Clyde." Gene replied, he and Iris looked and saw him with Chelsea and Shirley,
"Gene?" Iris asked,
"Hey, Iris." Gene said, she ran to him and hugged him tightly,
"Oh, I missed you so much." Iris said, and she pinched his cheeks,
"Thanks, Iris, but I'm here to drink." Gene replied, and she let go and looked at Chelsea and Shirley,
"More girlfriends?" Iris questioned,
"No, they're my surrogate younger sisters." Gene explained,
"Younger sisters?" Iris asked,
"Yeah, shortly after my dad died, his friends adopted me alongside these two, this is Chelsea, and that's Shirley." Gene replied,
"We're here to order drinks." Chelsea stated,
"Yeah, Gene wanted us to have a good time here." Shirley added,
"What would you two like?" Clyde asked,
"I'll just take a regular beer." Chelsea replied,
"Me too." Shirley said,
"Alright, sit somewhere and wait." Clyde stated, and they sat where Gene usually sat. Gene played poker with Chelsea and Shirley while they waited for their drinks,
"So this is where your journey to the Galactic Leyline began, huh?" Chelsea asked,
"Yup, this is where I fought and killed Butch, which made Death Rob come here and I killed him, which then made this place a hotspot for the news and I met Hilda while she was disguised as another woman, and the rest is history." Gene replied,
"Wow, so leaving the gang still had a big influence on you." Shirley said,
"The others never told you why they had to let me go?" Gene asked,
"No." Chelsea replied, Shirley shook her head,
"It was because Vincent was tired of having me in the gang and ordered John and the others to kill me, but they went against it and sent me here, I also had to cut contact because Vincent would've found out I was alive, and he would've tracked me down and killed me." Gene explained, he saw shocked expressions on their faces,
"That's why you were sent away?" Shirley questioned,
"Yeah, I didn't want to leave either." Gene responded,
"So you finding the Galactic Leyline was partially because of Vincent as well." Shirley stated,
"Yeah, it would appear that way." Gene replied, Iris then came with their drinks,
"Here you three go." Iris said,
"Cheers." Gene said, and they hit the glasses together and drank, Chelsea and Shirley chugged the beer mugs while the onlookers watched them, they cheered when they chugged the entire mug,
"Another please." Shirley said, and Iris gave them another mug of beer, they chugged it all and they began shouting random things while Gene laughed a little,
"Another beer, please." Chelsea said, Iris sighed and gave them another mug, they chugged it and they began dancing on the table while Iris screamed,
"Come on, you two, settle down, you're making the waitress uncomfortable." Gene stated, and they did. Gene drank more and saw the other customers were gone, he watched Chelsea and Shirley get on the floor and look for food,
"What are you two doing now?" Iris asked,
"Sorry, but the two got experimented on to have bug and animal genes in them, they kick in sometimes." Gene explained,
"I need you two to act civilized, you'll scare out the customers if you do that." Clyde said, and they continued looking for food but did not find any. Gene continued to drink on his own and soon heard Iris screaming, Gene and Clyde looked and saw Chelsea and Shirley in a drunken stupor and crawling to Iris,
"Gene! They're trying to look up my skirt!" Iris hollered, Gene got up and walked to them, he touched Chelsea and Shirley on their shoulders and they looked at him while smiling drunkenly,
"Iris isn't liking it, Chelsea and Shirley, I think you two have had enough for one night." Gene said, and they got up and stumbled back to their table while Gene carried them. Gene sat with Chelsea and Shirley as the two wobbled around, they soon fell asleep,
"They fell asleep." Gene stated,
"You have a place to stay, Gene?" Clyde asked,
"I'm planning to go back home later tonight." Gene replied,
"Back to Heifong again?" Iris questioned,
"Yeah." Gene responded, Iris groaned with disappointment,
"You know, Iris, I might have time to spend with you after your shift ends." Gene said,
"Really?!" Iris asked,
"Yup." Gene replied,
"*squeal* I get off in an hour from now, Gene, just wait a little longer." Iris said, and she worked while Gene watched Chelsea and Shirley. Time passed slowly and Gene passed the time by drinking more alcohol,
"Don't you think you've had enough for one night, Gene?" Clyde asked,
"Yeah, I'll have one more mug of beer and call it a night." Gene replied, and Iris served him the beer and he drank it, he finished it and sighed, he paid the bill and for Chelsea's and Shirley's drinks,
"I'll keep them here for now, since you three don't have anywhere to go." Clyde said,
"Thanks, Clyde. Come on, Iris." Gene stated,
"In a minute." Iris replied, and she came out of the bathroom in a sparkly sleeveless black floor-length gown and black high heel shoes,
"I'm ready, Gene." Iris stated, and they left together.
Gene and Iris went to a fancy restaurant and had dinner together,
"Can you eat after drinking all of that beer?" Iris asked,
"Yeah, I still got space in my stomach." Gene replied, and they began eating a meal,
"What's been going on ever since you visited the Galactic Leyline?" Iris questioned,
"I've been hired by two cops from Earth who have traveled to see me in Heifong to hunt down a gang I ran with before I came to Sentinel III, four members were already dead when I went back to Earth." Gene explained,
"What happened to them?" Iris asked,
"The leader killed them." Gene replied,
"Did you catch all of them?" Iris asked,
"All except the leader, I managed to catch Chelsea and Shirley too, but they escaped the prison when the male cop who hired me to hunt them down tried to kill them in their cell." Gene replied,
"*gasp* He should've been fired." Iris stated,
"His partner reported him to their superiors, he's been suspended." Gene explained,
"I hope his partner wasn't like that, too." Iris said,
"Nope, she's still a rookie, but she truly does believe in us reforming, I think she's going to grow into a proper cop." Gene replied,
"It's not another girl you're dating, is it?" Iris asked,
"Nope, she's just a cop who wants to catch the gang I ran with, have us reform in jail, and was going to send us back out, she was going to arrest me and do the same to me, but her asshole partner set me up to try to get me killed instead." Gene explained,
"It wouldn't be the first time you went to jail." Iris commented,
"Yeah, it wouldn't, I went to jail after I came back here after I finished the Galactic Leyline mess, I also went to jail once when I was working as a mercenary." Gene responded,
"Yeah, I remember both times, it worried me." Iris stated,
"How about you, Iris? How have things been for you?" Gene asked,
"Bar's been a bit slow, it's kind of lonely without you and Jim, I've thought about quitting and getting a new job a few times." Iris replied,
"What's the matter? You don't like your job?" Gene asked,
"No, I do, but it gets a bit boring sometimes, it was lively when you and Jim were still regulars." Iris explained,
"Well, I'm sorry, Iris, but my current job requires me to go everywhere, I can't stop by often." Gene replied,
"I know, but still." Iris stated while looking down,
"That's why I came today, Iris, I wanted to treat you to something special to repay all of the drinks you served me." Gene explained,
"Really?" Iris inquired,
"Yeah, I know you've had feelings for me, too, and I've actually thought about dating you, maybe if you traveled with me while I was dealing the Galactic Leyline mess, I would've chosen you as my girlfriend over Melfina." Gene explained, Iris began to cry,
"Don't cry, Iris, I really am sorry." Gene said as he touched her shoulder, she continued crying and Gene comforted her,
"There, there, Iris, let's at least try to enjoy the night." Gene stated,
"You're right, we should." Iris replied, and Gene sat back down, they ate and conversed for the rest of the time there and Gene paid the bill, he then walked Iris home while she held onto his arm and laid her head on it, they arrived at her home and they hugged one another, Iris then went into her home and they waved bye at one another, Iris then closed the door.
Gene went back to Clyde's Bar and saw Chelsea and Shirley were still asleep,
"Oh, good, you're back, wake them up, Gene, I have to close the bar for the night." Clyde said, and he shook the two,
"Chelsea. Shirley." Gene said, the two groaned and they woke up, they looked around and saw where they were at,
"How long was I asleep?" Chelsea asked,
"You two have been asleep for about an hour and a half." Clyde responded,
"Really?" Shirley asked,
"Yup, I had Gene wake you two up because it's closing time." Clyde replied,
"Oh, it is? Gene, we need money to pay the taxi to go back to Earth." Chelsea stated,
"Here you go." Gene responded as he gave the two money and they went to the spaceport.
Gene boarded a space taxi that was going to head to Heifong while Chelsea and Shirley went into one that was to head back to Earth, they waved bye at one another and the taxis flew. Gene arrived back on Heifong and paid the driver, he walked through the night and arrived at Starwind and Hawking Enterprises,
"I'm home." Gene said as he entered,
"Gene!" Melfina hollered as she ran to him and hugged him, he hugged her back and let her go,
"How much money did you make?" Jim asked, and he put the money on the table while his crewmates looked on,
"Wow, I thought you'd make more than this." Jim stated,
"I did, but I had to give some of it away." Gene replied,
"Gave some of it away? Tell me you didn't give away much." Aisha whined,
"Sorry, but I had to, I had to go to the hospital because I got injured on the job." Gene responded,
"Is that all, Gene?" Suzuka questioned,
"Nope, I gave money to three of my coworkers so they could take the space taxi and go back to their home planets, we also all went drinking at a bar one day and I paid the tab." Gene explained,
"You went out drinking?" Jim asked,
"Not just me, my boss, my coworkers, all of us went out to drink." Gene replied,
"Your boss didn't pay?" Melfina asked,
"I chose to so I could develop a good working relationship with them." Gene answered,
"Well, that explains a lot." Jim snarked,
"It's not as much as we expected, but it's still a lot." Suzuka said,
"Yeah, maybe we can renovate this place." Aisha suggested,
"I agree, I think this place can use some decorating." Melfina agreed,
"Well, another time, I'm going to get some sleep." Gene said,
"Yeah, we should, it's late." Jim added, and they laid in bed and slept.
