Nora had been working on using her walker in physical therapy over the past two weeks. She didn't have to use the oxygen all the time but would need it on occasion. Nora was happy to be upright even if it was only for a little bit at a time. Although, she would admit that the tub Sam purchased was really helping.

"You doing alright darling?" Frasier asked as they made their way up the ramp in the garage and into the house.

"Yeah," Nora breathed out. They went to sit in the living room, "has Tony mentioned anything about getting his license?"

"No, and his permit expired. I think he has a lot to work through before he feels comfortable getting behind the wheel again." Frasier looked at his wife, "no, no, no."

"What?"

"I know that look and you are going to blame yourself. It's not your fault and it's not Tony's fault so just get that thought out of your head."

"I really need to because I'm not able to hold much in there right now. It's hard to not place some blame on myself. I couldn't protect him from getting hurt."

"In many ways, you did by having him continue to drive home. If you had switched places then Tony would be where you are."

"That's true and I never would wish this on anyone."

Frasier climbed into bed that night thinking his wife was asleep. "Frasier, can we talk?"

"I thought you were asleep."

Nora tried sitting up, but needed Frasier's help in the end, "this is not an easy discussion for me to have with you."

"Darling, what's wrong?" Frasier noticed his wife's eyes tearing up.

"We both know that I'm not going to get much better physically. That I will probably always need a walking aid and someone to help me. I don't think that this is fair to you and..."

"and what?"

"I think we should get a divorce."

"No," Frasier said point-blank. "We both vowed 'in sickness and in health' and I have no intention of divorcing the love of my life. The doctor said that you may have some long term effects from your TBI, but only time will tell. No matter what, I'm in it for the long haul. You won't get rid of me that easily."

Nora began to cry harder, "I love you so much."

Frasier took his wife in his arms, "I love you too."

Amy, Debra, Nora, and Diane were all sitting in the Cranes' backyard one day.

"Nora, is everything alright?" Amy asked, "you seem a bit off."

"It's nothing," Nora answered.

"You can tell us," Debra said.

Nora took a deep breath, "last night I asked Frasier for a divorce."

"What?!" the other three women shouted.

Frasier, Robert, Ray, and Sam were watching a game in the Crane living room the same day.

"You okay, doc?" Sam asked.

"No, but I know that sharing is not popular in this group. Well, half of this group."

"You're going through a lot so share," Robert said.

"Last night Nora asked me for a divorce."

The three other men just sat there with their jaws open.

Backyard:

"Why the hell would you ask for a divorce?" Debra asked.

"I thought you and Frasier were soul mates," Diane added.

"It's just not fair to him," Nora answered.

"What's not fair to him?" Amy asked.

"He shouldn't have to take care of me for the rest of his life."

"What did Frasier say?" Diane asked.

"Just 'no' and that this was in our wedding vows."

"He's right," Amy said.

Living Room:

"She really asked for a divorce?" Robert asked.

"Yep," Frasier answered.

"What did you say?" Ray asked.

"No," Frasier answered, "I told her no."

"Why would she ask for a divorce?" Sam asked.

"She doesn't think it's fair for me to have to care for her for the rest of my life. I told her that it's in our wedding vows."

"Robert, it looks like you're still the only one with a divorce," Ray joked.

"And surprisingly you don't have one," Robert joked back.

"I'm surprised I'm married at all," Sam said.

"I think we were all surprised by that," Frasier joked.

It really is different with men and women.
