Chapter 7
Dino Charge—Sir Ivan of Zander"Emma are you okay?" Tyler said reaching his hand out to me. "I am ok, I think" I said taking his hand. He smiled at me as he pulled me to my feet. We continued down the path making our way back to his car. "Are you coming back to the museum?" Tyler said as he placed his backpack into the backseat. "I need to get back home" I really wanted to go visit the others at the museum, but I had so much class work to get finished up. "Emma Please Shelby wanted to see you plus Ivan has been wondering when you will be coming back to visit." Tyler smiled then got in the car. I just shook my head then got into the car "I guess I could use some food." I smiled as I buckled my seat belt.
Tyler and I have been close friends since we were just kids. We always managed to stay in touch no matter what part of the world we lived in. I lived all over the world because of my father's job, but I always returned to Amber Beach for a month in the summer just to spend it with Tyler. "Wish you lived here." Tyler said as we pulled up to the museum. "Me too, but Papa reenlisted for another four years." I said giving him a weak smile. "Well we have three more weeks till you have to be back home." Tyler smiled then I watched him get out of the car. I knew he was right after all I have only been back for a couple of days. I wanted to enjoy spending my time with my friend. When we walked into the Café Shelby met us at the door wrapping her arms around me hugging me tight "Emma I was wondering when you were going to be here." Shelby said giving me a smile "Em" Chase said as he walked over to me giving me his bright smile. "Lady Emma you look beautiful as ever" Ivan said as be bowed then kissed my hand. "Nice to see you again Ivan" I said blushing. I have to admit since I first met Ivan, I have had a small crush on him, and I have not been able to get my mind off of him.
I stayed at the café with Tyler for a few hours talking with him and the others. I even helped out with a couple of the tables. I really did not want to leave the café till Tyler got off work, but I had a very important meeting the next morning. "Tyler, I need to get back to the house. I have a meeting early in the morning" I said walking to the counter. "Hold on I will take you home. I mean if it's ok with you" Tyler said looking over at Ms. Morgan. "It's okay. We are a bit slow today plus Emma is only here for a short amount of time." Ms. Morgan said giving me a smile. I smiled as Tyler went to hang up his apron then made his way over to me. As we made our way to the front of the museum Tyler started to ask me questions about my meeting, but I did not want to tell him anything because I did not know what will happen. "Emma come on we never hide anything from each other. Can't you tell me what is going on? Are you okay?" Tyler said stopping me then pulled me to where I was looking at him. I just smiled then gave him a hug "Tyler everything is alright. I will tell you about it when I meet with you at lunch. I promise." I said then hugged him tight. I do not think I convinced him because he still had his worried look on his face. I just smiled then shook my head then made my way toward the front entrance of the museum. "Tyler wait up" I heard a voice calling out when I turned around, I saw Riley running towards. "What's up?" Tyler said when he reached us. "Ms. Morgan needs your help on something back at the café." Riley said then gave me his 'I am sorry to change your plans" look. I smiled then watched Tyler and Riley run back toward the café. I shook my head because I knew that Tyler had forgot about me. I started to make my way out the front door but stopped when I heard someone calling me. "Lady Emma, Lady Emma" I turned around to see Ivan running to catch up to me "Yes" I said smiling at him "If it would be alright may I walk you home? I can't bare the thought of a lady walking home unprotected." Ivan said then bowed down. I smiled at him as he stood up. "Ivan you are such a gentleman" I said smiling. He gave me a smile then opened the door stepping aside allowing me to walk out the door.
We walked in silence for a while, but I could not help it I wanted to know more about him. I wanted to know about his family, what he likes to do when he is not working. I basically wanted to get to know him better. When we reached my hotel, he stopped then toke a hold of my hand. "Lady Emma I asked Sir Tyler if he would mind if I asked you to accompany me to dinner tomorrow afternoon. That is if you would like to join me." I stood there for a moment. Ivan just asked me out to dinner. "Ivan I would love to join you for dinner" I said smiling at him. I watched as a smile appeared on his face then he picked me up swinging me around. I started to giggle as he spun me around when he placed me on my feet, he pulled me close to him. I slipped my arms around his neck as we slowly moved closer I starter to close my eyes. I wanted him to kiss me, but the kiss never came. I opened my eyes to see Ivan smiling at me "Lady Emma I need to go assist Sir Tyler and the others with a task. If you would like we can meet at the museum tomorrow afternoon" I felt him touch my cheek lightly with his hand giving me a loving smile. I watched him as he slowly walked down the sidewalk his eyes never leaving mine for a moment till, he was out of my sight.
The next couple of days seemed like a dream everything seemed to fall into place. I spent every moment I could with Ivan and Tyler. I managed to keep my meeting secret from them both, but I needed to tell someone I could not keep it quiet for too long. The only person I knew that I could trust to keep the secret were Shelby and Ms. Morgan. "Are you serious?!" Shelby said smiling then hugging me tight. "Yes, If I get accepted to the program then I will be able to remain in Amber Beach." I said placing my drink back on the table. "Have you told Tyler about this?" Ms. Morgan said giving me a questioning look. "Not yet because I am scared if I tell him then I am not accepted" I said looking down at the table. They both gave me a smile "How long till you find out if you will be accepted or not?" Shelby said. "Well they are meeting this afternoon to make the finally choices for the program." I said then took a sip of my drink. I looked over at the counter there I saw Ivan working on the grill and I could not help smiling. He notice me watching him and waved at me giving me his sparkling smile. I really want to tell Ivan how I feel about him, but I am scared to say anything. What if he does not feel the same or what if I tell him and well, I am not able to stay here in Amber Beach? I do not think I can handle being apart from him for six months. "Emma, I thought we were meeting later?" Tyler said touching my shoulder "Oh I needed to talk with Shelby and Ms. Morgan about something coming up." I said smiling at him hoping he would believe me. "ok well I have the day off want to go hiking?" he smiled at me. I wanted to go with him, but I knew that my cell signal would not be that good. "Can we possibly go later? Sorry I am waiting for an important phone call." I said biting my lip. He smiled then walked over to the counter where the Chase and Riley were standing. "Emma you should really tell him" Ms. Morgan said then looked over at him. I looked over at him then over at Ivan and I knew I should tell them both about the possibility of me moving to Amber Beach. I decided that I should return to my hotel so that I could get some rest.
Instead of going right to my hotel I made a detour through the park. Making my way through the park it allowed me to think about what would happen if I did not get accepted into the program at the school, and how could I possibly be so far away from Ivan. I want to remain in Amber beach not just to be close to my friends, and to have a chance to be a normal person for once. I walked through the park thinking about everything till I reached a small bench close to a small pond. I sat down there looking over the water hoping that a solution to my problem would come to mind, but all that seem to be there is how much I wanted to stay here in Amber Beach. I covered my eyes trying to fight back the tears. "Lady Emma, Are you okay?" Ivan said placing his hand on my shoulder. I looked up to see a worried look on his face "Oh Ivan" I cried then stood up wrapping my arms around him crying into his chest. "Everything will be alright my lady. Why are you so upset?" he said rubbing my back with his hand holding me close to him. I began to tell about my meeting with the college and the program that I am hoping to attend. That I was scared to tell Tyler about it cause if I did not get accepted to the program it would be upsetting. "I want to stay here in Amber Beach. I miss my friends so much when I have to return home." I said wiping my eyes then sitting on the bench. "I am sure you will be accepted into this program. You are a wonderful person and from what Sir Tyler has said a very smart young lady." Ivan smiled then held my hand. I just smiled at him then touched his cheek. I do not know what happened, but I leaned forward and kissed him. I began to pull away thinking that I had done something wrong, but Ivan pulled me back kissing me deeply pulling me to him. I could not help it I went limp in his arms returning his kiss and for that moment there were no one else on the planet but us. "Lady Emma I truly must confess something to you." Ivan said touching my cheek softly. I smiled at him then watched as he closed his taking in a breath "I tried to hide my feelings, but I can no longer. I have fallen in love with you. I think about you when your away, and when you are around me it seems like no one else matters in the world but you. I hope that your feelings are the same about me because I would do anything to win your heart." I stood there amazed by what he said to me. He loved me; he was in love with me. "Please I must know your feelings toward me." Ivan took both my hands then kissed them softly. "Ivan" I said then kissed him softly "I love you so much." He smiled then picked me up kissing me deeply holding me then softly placing me back on to my feet. "I know that we have a short time together, but while we are able to be near one another will you be willing to be mine?" I could not say no I wrapped my arms around his neck kissing him deeply holding him in my arms till our lips separated for air. "I love you my lady" Ivan said smiled at me "there is no one else I could possible want to be with." I smiled at him then kissed him softly. "Let's go tell the others this wonderful news" Ivan pulled me back to the museum with a huge smile on his face. We walked back to the museum holding hands smiling and laughing. When we reached the front doors, my phone rang when I looked at the phone I stopped in my tracks. I stood there just looking at my phone "My love what's wrong" Ivan said touching my cheek giving me a worried look "It's the program director" I said looking at him "Answer my lady it might be good news" Ivan said smiling urging me to answer the phone. When I answered the phone, I was scared that I had done awful in the meeting and was not chosen to be apart of the program. When the phone call ended, I just stood there with a shocked look on my face. "Emma what did they say?" Ivan asked me giving me a worried look. "Where is Tyler?" I said looking at Ivan then everything went black.
"Is she okay?" Tyler said but his voice seemed so far off "She asked where you were Sir Tyler then she fainted" Ivan gave Tyler a worried look then touched my cheek "I get to stay in Amber Beach with you" I said softly then kissed Ivan. When the kiss ended Ivan smiled at me "You got accepted into the program" Ivan said smiling then hugged me tightly. I sat up then noticed the others looking at us a look of shock on their faces. "Are you guys okay?" I said smiling at them as I stood up with Ivan's help. "I am trying to figure out what I just saw" Shelby said then looked at Ivan then back at me. "Lady Shelby I confessed my feelings to Lady Emma, and she feels the same for me." Ivan said smiling at me. Shelby ran over to us hugging us then wrapped her arms around me hugging me tighter "You get to stay" she said smiling. I looked over at Tyler who smiled at me then hugged me tighter. "Finally, you get to stay home" Tyler said smiling at me giving me a hug.
Light Speed Rescue—Carter GraysonI have always made sure that when I made a delivery to the Aqua base, I make sure that each delivery is handed to the person who ordered it. "Hello Marlie. How are you today?" the guard said giving me a smile "Doing good Eric. I have a delivery for Carter today" I said smiling at him "I think Carter needed to report to the fire station this morning for some special training." Eric said walking over to me with a clip board. "Tell you what let me see if I can get ahold of Captain Mitchell or Ms. Fairweather. They would know where he is", I watched Eric walk back into the office. I sat the box down on the desk knowing that I would end up waiting for a while. "Marlie" Eric called to me sticking his head outside the door. "Yes" I said walking over to him "Captain Mitchell asked me to allow you to pass. You will need to come to his office." Eric said with a smile. I nodded my head walking over to desk to pick up the box. When I reached the gate, Eric handed me a badge then open the gate allowing me to come on to the Aqua base. I made my way down to where I would be able to meet with someone to hand the order over too. "Hey, I have a delivery for Carter Grayson." I said smiling at the young lady behind the desk. "Marlie, Good to see you today" I heard a voice call out when I turned around, I saw Captain Mitchell walking up to me with a big smile on his face. "Hello Sir, how are you today?" I said smiling back at him. "Doing good. How is your family doing?" he said placing a folder down on the counter. "Doing good. I am helping more at the store because Papa has not been doing that good. Momma needs all the help she can get to keep the store and bakery going." I said placing the box on the counter. "That must be the delivery for Carter." He said noticing the package. "Yes sir. Momma made sure that it was made fresh this morning." I said smiling touching the box "Hey Marlie" Dana said walking up to me then giving me a hug "How are you and you family" she gave me a bright smile. "I am doing on ok been working at the store helping Momma keep both the store and bakery up and running. Papa hasn't been feeling to good lately." I was scared to tell them that Papa has been in bed sick for the past month, and the doctor told us that it does not look good. "Marlie!" I heard someone call my name when I turned around, I saw Carter walking toward me. "Carter" I said running to him wrapping my arms around his neck "I missed you" Carter said picking me up off my feet. "I have missed you. Momma sent you your monthly bakery goodies" I said smiling. "I hope she put some of your sugar cookies in the box. Those are my favorite." He said placing me back on my feet. "She did" I smiled at him and for a moment we just stood there smiling at each other. "Captain would it be alright if I walk with Marlie back to her van? I hardly get to see her, and I would like to catch up" Carter said looking over at Captain Mitchell. I watched as Captain Mitchell nodded his head then turned to walk back to his office followed by Dana. "See you soon, Marlie" Dana said giving me a hug before she left. I stood there smiling as I watched them walk away.
When we made it outside Carter turn to me and smiled "Marlie you know you didn't have to bring this to me." Carter said taking my hand in his "Momma was scared that you would forget about us. She looks forward to your visit." I said smiling at him. He smiled back at me then touched my cheek. "I promised your brother I would look after you and your parents. I do not break my promises especially to a fellow firefighter" his touch felt so good I leaned into his hand then reached my hand up touching his cheek too. Since my brother died in the fire Carter has been by my families side. He comes to the store every week just to check to see how we are doing. We started to become closer in the last couple of weeks, and I will not lie I think I have fallen in love with him. I do not think he shares the same feelings as I do, but it would be amazing if he did. We stood there just looking at each other when there was a beep from his watch. "I need to get back there is an emergency." Carter said then ran his finger down my cheek. I want him to kiss me so bad, but I know that he needed to leave. "I will come by the store soon. If you need anything, please call me or come here to the base." He smiled at me then I watched as he walked back into the base. I wanted to run to him and pull him to me kissing him, but I did not. "Marlie come on he will never see you more than just a friend." I said to myself then got into the van making my way back to the store.
"Ouch why does my head hurt so bad" I thought when I opened my eyes, I was in a room that was not my room. "She is awake" I heard a voice call out, but I knew the voice it was Carter. "Marlie your awake" He said taking my hand in his. "What happened" I said in a weak voice. "You were in an accident" Carter said then touched my cheek. "It was my fault you got into the accident." I watched as he lowered his head "How is it your fault" I said then touched his face. That is when I noticed that Captain Mitchell and Dana were in the room with us. I watched as Carter looked up at them with a worried look. "Marlie your accident was caused a monster that the Rangers were fighting. They did their best to protect you from the blasts, but one that was aimed for them well it bounced off the zord and hit right in front of you causing you to run off the road." Captain Mitchell said then reached for my hand. I looked over at them confused. "Where am I?" I said looking around. "You are on the Aqua base in the Medical wing. We brought you here so that I could see to your care. Carter has gone to your family and let them know where your are." Dana said taking my hand. "I have let them know everything. They know you are safe, and they know you are receiving the best care possible" Carter said giving me a smile. They tried to explain my injuries and explained that I will be staying at the Aqua base until I was recovered. Carter stayed with me as Dana would allow him to, which was when he did not have Ranger duties or had to be at the firehouse. When Carter was not able to be with me it was either Dana, Chad, Kelsey, Joel, Ryan, or Captain Mitchell. They talked with me about different things, and they explained some of the Ranger things to me too.
My injuries healed soon, and I was able to return home to my parents. I went back to making my deliveries as I had done before my accident. The only thing that changed was that Carter's visits seemed to stop. My parents decided that I worked to much and hired some more help in the store. "Darling we just feel that you should have some time off to enjoy yourself." Momma said one day at Breakfast. "Yes, I have to agree with you Momma. Marlie since Charlie's death you have worked so hard here in the store. We just feel that you should have take time to spend with your friends." Papa said giving me a smile then stood up. I watched as he walked to the door that went to the bakery. "Papa you are still weak, and I know you need my help in the bakery getting everything ready for the breakfast crew" I said walking over to my father as he tied his apron around his waist. "Marlie It's okay" Papa said touching my cheek "I hired a young man to come in early in the morning to help get everything going." Papa gave me a smile then opened the door. "Captain Mitchell even sent some young men to help me too." I looked over at Momma then watched as Papa closed the door. I sat in the kitchen talking with Momma till she needed to get to the store to open the doors. It seemed like they had arranged it so that I could have an actual day off. "Marlie" Mom called me from the store. I walked down the steps that led to Momma's store. As I made my way through the backroom, I heard a familiar voice. "Carter" I thought then when I open the curtain, I saw Carter talking with Momma. "Carter?" I said walking to stand beside Momma. "Good morning Marlie" Carter said giving me his wonderful smile. "Captain Mitchell is allowing me to have a day off and well I am not needed at the fire station so I was wondering if you would like to join me for a picnic." He smiled at me as he pulled a basket from behind his back. I looked at Momma who smiled at me "Sweetie you have the day off. It will be alright for you to join him" I smiled at Momma then back at Carter. "I would love too" I said then gave him a sweet smile.
When we arrived at the park, we walked around talking about everything that has happened since I returned home. We ended up finding a spot near the lake where we set up our picnic. "Marlie everyone has been asking about you." Carter said as he placed his plate down on the blanket then smiling at me. "they have?" I looked at him I knew there was something else he was not saying "Yeah, Dana wants me to ask you if you could come visit soon. I think she enjoyed having you at the base." He smiled at me then I felt his hand as he lightly touched it. "I would love to come visit the base again." I said giving him a small smile. We sat there on the blanket just looking at each other. I do not know why but I wanted him to kiss me. I wanted to feel his hands on my body. "Marlie uhm I was wondering if you would want to possibly go to dinner with me?" Carter said then moved closer to me. I smiled at him "Carter are you asking me out on a date?" I said touching his hand. He smiled at me then he cupped my cheek "Well I was hoping that we could call this a date." He smiled then leaned closer to me our lips touching. When the kiss ended, I could not help it I kissed him back slipping my arms around his neck he pulled me closer to him. "Oh wow" Carter said smiling at me. I just smiled at him "I know" I said smiling him then I heard a beep "I need to get back to the base" Carter said standing up "Can you make it home alright?" he touched my cheek softly as he came closer to me "I can't bare it if something happened to you" he leaned down kissing me softly. I did not want to let go I liked being in his arms with his arms wrapped around me. "Carter, we have a problem" a voice called out from his watch. "I will come by later to see you" Carter smiled then he ran down the path. I started to walk back toward the store thinking about what had happened.
Over the next couple of days Carter came by the store to see me and we would take walks around the block. Spending the time with Carter I started to fall in love with him, but I how could he want to be with someone like me. My parents soon decided that it would be better if they sold both business and move closer to my father's family. I did not want to leave I loved being here plus I did not want to leave my brother alone. "Marlie you are an adult. If you want to stay here, you may. Your father and I know that you have friends here and well a life." Momma said smiling at me, but she knew that I would be completely lost without them. "Hello?" Carter said as he walked into the door "Carter sweetie come on in" Momma said giving Carter a smile. "I was wondering if I could talk to Marlie for a minute?" Carter said giving me a smile. I stood up then walked over to him "Everything okay?" I said giving him a smile. "Can we take a walk?" He said offering me his hand. I smiled at him then took his hand following him outside. As we walked, I told him about my parents plans and the choice I needed make. He could tell it was a hard choice for me to make. "What ever choice you make I will be here to help you in any way possible" He said then hugged me pulling me close to him. I looked into his eyes then smiled at him "I want to remain here with you" I said then kissed him softly. I knew once my parents sold their business that I would need to find a place to live.
"We will call you when we reach the new house" Mama said hugging me then she touched my cheek as a tear fall. "Mama I will be alright" I said trying to give her a convincing smile. The people who purchased our home have been amazing they are allowing me to live here until I have found a place. "Carter please take care of my little girl." Papa said shaking Carter's hand then looking over at me. "I will protect her with my life" Carter said then looked over at me smiling. I walked over to Carter as I watched my parents get into their car, I began to get sad. "Are you okay?" Carter said placing hand on my shoulder. "I am going to miss them, but I know that they will be okay." I smiled at him then touched his hand. Carter smiled at me then took my hand smiling at me. "Come on why don't we go for a walk". I smiled up at him then him as he led me down the sidewalk. We did not say anything to each other it was like we just knew what the other was saying by just looking into each other's eyes. Carter led me to a blanket that was set up with a picnic basket. "Carter did you do this?" I said smiling up at him. He just smiled at me then leaned down kissing me softly. "I want to ask you something." I watched as he took my hands in his then looked into my eyes. "Marlie I don't know how to place this into words." Carter said acting really nervous then he touched my cheek. "Marlie when you got hurt it scared me and I realized that I wanted to get to know you better. As the months have passed, I have found myself falling in love with you." He touched my cheek and I touched his hand as I leaned into his touch. I looked up into Carter's eyes as he leaned closer to me "Well it seems the Red Ranger has a weak spot" I heard a voice say then I felt Carter pull me into his arms "Leave her alone." Carter said as he held me protectively. I managed to look to see a woman dressed in black with huge wings "Vypra I mean it. Leave her alone she is not involved." Carter said then looked at me "Don't worry Marlie I will not allow them to hurt you" then he kissed my head "Well you would be wrong Ranger" Vypra said then let out a laugh. "I need help" Carter said as he pressed a button on his watch. "We are on our way, Carter" Chad said. Carter did everything possible to protect me from the monsters attacks "Carter We need to get Marlie back to the Aqua base where she will be safe" I heard a voice call out from Carter's watch "I know Sir, but at the moment I am unable to leave" Carter said in between attacks "Carter I am scared" I said holding on to him. He did his best to keep me protected as much as possible "Marlie come with me. I promise I will get you to safety" Dana said placing her hand on my arm. "Go with Dana. I promise I will be come back to you as soon as I can" Carter said then kissed me touching my cheeks. "Here I will carry you" Joel said reaching his arms out for me. I went to him keeping my eyes covered as he carried me to the closest vehicle. The last thing I saw before I black out was Dana giving me a worried look.
When I opened my eyes the first thing, I saw was Carter asleep holding my hand. I could not help it I smiled then ran my hand through his hair causing him to stir. "Marlie your awake" Carter said sitting up then touching my cheeks then kissed me deeply pulling me close to him. I slipped my arms around his neck as he laid me back on to my bed. "Marlie I love you so much" Carter said touching my cheek smiling at me. "I love you too Carter" I said smiling at him. "Will you marry me?" Carter said touching my cheek. I looked at him shocked at what he just asked me. He wanted to marry me?! "Marlie I am serious. Please do me the honor of becoming my wife. I promise I will protect you for the rest of my life. Please say yes", I looked into his eyes seeing that he was serious, and he meant every word he said to me. "Carter Yes!" I said then kissed him deeply. When the kiss ended, I watched as he smiled then hugged me tight. "I love you so much. Last night I had everything planned out, will till we were disturbed. I wanted to propose where we first kissed." He said then pulled me close to him touching my cheek. I curled up close to him just being happy in the moment.
Beast Morphers—Ravi ShawI stood outside the Grid force building just looking up at this huge building then closed my eyes taking a breath then walked to the door. "Hello Welcome to Battle Grid Force, how may I help you today" a young lady said giving me a smile. "I am looking for Zoey Reeves. She told me that I could meet her here when I arrived in Coral Harbor" I said giving the young lady a smile. I watched as she looked on a list of names then looked back at me "Let me see if I can find her. She might be out on a mission. Please give me a moment" the young lady said then walked down the hall. "If you would like you can have a seat right over there" the young man said pointing toward some chairs over by a set of windows. "Thank you" I gave him a smile then picked up my bag making my way over to the chairs. I looked around the building just looking at everything in awe because of how everything was so shiny. "Grace?" I heard someone call my name when I looked up, I saw Zoey running toward me with her arms opened wide. I smiled brightly as her arms wrapped around me hugging me tight. "You are finally here!" she squalled still hugging me tight. I just closed my eyes hugging Zoey as tight as I could trying not to allow the tears to start falling. "Are you okay? How are your grandparents holding up?" Zoey said stepping back "They are good still in shock about the accident." I said wiping my eyes. 'The accident' has been my family's way of dealing with my mother's death. My grandparents made the decision that in my best interest because so much had happened in Atlanta that it would be best that I come live with my Aunt Diana in Coral Harbor. Zoey and I have been best friends since we were little and when my father died my mom made the decision to move to Atlanta to be closer to my grandparents. Zoey and I always kept in touch and when we came to visit my aunt, we spent all our time together while I was here. As Zoey and I talked I noticed a group of people walking up behind her. "Grace I would like to introduce you to Commander Shaw, Ravi, Devon, Nate, and Steel." Zoey smiled as she stepped aside pointing to each other of them. I had to admitted Devon and Ravi had the sweetest smiles. "Welcome to Coral Harbor and to Grid Battle Force" Commander Shaw said offering me her hand. I smiled shaking her hand then I looked over at Ravi who gave me a smile. "Zoey if you would like to give your friend a tour you may." Commander Shaw said then walked back down the hall. Zoey smiled then handed me a badge from the security officer. I smiled at her as I placed it on to my shirt then followed her as we walked down the hall. Zoey showed me around Grid Battle force showing me the places she had told me about in her letters and phone calls. Zoey walked with me toward the front where she met me when I first arrived "Excuse me Zoey, uhm Commander Shaw needs us to report to the command room" Devon said walking up to us with a serious look. "Ok" Zoey said looking at him then she look at me "I need to go report the Commander Shaw to see how I can help." She gave me a concerned look "It's ok I understand. Aunt Diana will be here in a moment." I said then hugged her. Zoey smiled then I watched as she followed Devon and the others.
As the weeks passed, I got to spend time with Zoey and the others. I was able to visit Grid Battle force a lot during that time and even helped Nate with some of the weapons that he was working on for the Rangers. Commander Shaw even hired me to work with Nate in the lab "Grace you are here almost everyday spending time with Zoey. I think you should if you would like work with us." Commander Shaw said giving me a little smile. "I would love too" I said smiling up at her "I love being here everyone has been so nice to me. Plus, I love helping the Rangers." She smiled at me then handed me my badge. Since that day I have been a consistence help to Nate and the other in their fight against Evox. "Grace you need to take a break." Nate said giving me a worried look. "Nate I am ok really" I said smiling at him then I tried to hide a yawn, but I knew it would be no use to really argue with Nate. "Grace come on you need rest besides you have been here all night." Nate said helping me out of my chair "Nate I need to finish this upgrade." I said trying to make my way back to my workstation "Nate is right Grace. I know you have not been getting a lot of rest" Zoey said touching my shoulder. I have had a lot on my mind and making sure the upgrades are done has been keeping me up at night. "Come on I will take you home." Ravi said giving me a smile then offered me his hand. I smiled taking his hand "Go home get some rest and I am sure we can figure out the problem in the morning" Nate said then gave me a hug. I nodded my head then followed Ravi as he pulled me toward the front.
Instead of taking me directly home I asked Ravi if we could go to the park for a moment. I needed to talk to someone, and Ravi was someone I had begun to trust. As we walked, I told him about the accident dealing with my mom. He allowed me to talk while we walked listening to everything with concerned. We made our way over to the lake where there were a couple of benches. After walking around the lake, a couple of times we sat down at a bench still talking. "Grace" Ravi said touching my hand I turned to look at him "Yes" I said giving him a smile I watched as he moved closer to me then touched my cheek "You are so beautiful and I would really like to get to know you better" he said holding me closely. I looked into his eyes and could tell he meant what he said I could not help it I smiled at him. We stood there just holding each other looking into each other's eyes. "Ravi, we have an alert." Commander Shaw's voice came over the communicator. "I need to get back to Grid force" He said then gave me a smile. "I will see you tomorrow I guess" I said smiling moving away from him. "Ok" He said smiling at me. I made my way home thinking about Ravi and what he said.
The next morning, I made my way slowly to Grid Force still thinking about what had happened. "Grace" Betty called to me waving I guess I was not paying that much attention because I felt a hand tap me on the shoulder. I turned around to see Betty and Ben smiling at me "Hey everything okay?" Betty said giving me a concerned look "I am sorry guys. I just have something on my mind." I said giving them a smile then made my way to the lab. When I walked into the lab Nate was working on some new weapons for the Rangers "Grace I thought you were going to take a day off" Nate said placing his tool down on the table. "I got a lot of sleep yesterday" I said smiling at him as I slipped on my lab coat. Nate gave me a concerned look but then gave me a smile as he went back to work. I must have been really wrapped up in work because I did not notice when Devon, Ravi and Zoey walked into the lab. "Grace" Ravi said placing his hand on my shoulder. It scared me I jumped falling out of my chair. "Grace I am sorry I didn't mean to scare you" Ravi said kneeling on the ground next to me "Grace are you okay?" Zoey said running over to where I was at "Yes I am okay Ravi just surprised me that's all" I said sitting up then gave Ravi a smile "I am so sorry Grace. I thought you had heard me" Ravi said standing up then offered me his hand. "It's ok. I should have my music a little lower" I said smiling at him. He smiled back at me as he held my hand. "Uhm Ravi didn't you want to ask Grace something?" Zoey said smiling at Ravi. "Grace would you like to have lunch with me? We can go for a picnic in the park or if you want, we can go get something to eat at a restaurant" Ravi said smiling at me. I could tell he was a little nervous asking me out. "I would love to have lunch with you." I said smiling at him. Ravi smiled at me then picked me up swinging me around. Then he did something that really surprised me he kissed me deeply. I could not help it I kissed him back wrapping my arms around his neck.
As the weeks pasted Ravi and I managed to have a standing lunch date every day. Each day Ravi would come to the Lab to walk with me outside to a table that Ravi made sure was set up each day. He has never really asked me out on a real day. We just have lunch together then spend time with the others when we have free time. Zoey has always been able to figure out when there is something wrong. One day I met Zoey and the others at Riptide to enjoy some snacks, but all I could do was watch Ravi "Grace are you okay?" Zoey said sitting at the table. I was watching Ravi working out with Devon, Nate, and Roxie. "Hey there Grace" Blaze said sitting beside me smiling. I just smiled at him then looked away "So I was wondering if you would like to go out with me tomorrow night?" Blaze said slipping his arm around me. I tried to think of an excuse for turn him down but then I saw Ravi and Roxie. "Sure, I would love to" I said then smiled at him. "Hey Roxie" Blaze said smiling at his friend "what's going on?" Roxie said then sat down beside Zoey. "Blaze I will see you tomorrow night I guess" I said standing up. "Ok Can I call you later?" Blaze said standing up. I nodded then walked toward the door with Zoey following close behind me. "Grace wait up" Zoey said then touched my arm stopping me. "What happened? I thought that you liked Ravi." I looked at Zoey then looked down at the ground. "Zoe I cannot compete with Roxie. I can see the chemistry between those two, and besides, he only sees me as a lunch buddy." I said then started to cry. Zoey hugged me then walked with me home. She knew I really needed a friend and offered to stay the night with me.
The next morning, I decided that I was going to stay home so I called Commander Shaw and explained that I was feeling under the weather. She told me that she hoped that I felt better soon and to get some rest. Zoey sent a message to Devon and Nate asking them to contact her if something came up. All I really felt like doing was sleeping all day I really did not want to talk to anyone about what was going on. Zoey tried to help me feel better by telling me that Ravi and Roxie were good friends, but what I had seen at yesterday I did not think that was true. Eventually Zoey managed to talk me into going outside to get some fresh air. We sat in the backyard talking when there was a knock on the front door "I will go get it" Zoey said jumping up making her way through the backdoor. I stood up then started to follow her till when I reached the kitchen, I saw who was at the door. There stood Ravi with a worried look on his face I noticed that Zoey was trying to convince him that I was asleep "Zoey please I just want to talk with her." Ravi said stopping the door with his hand then opened the door. "Ravi she is asleep." Zoey said the stepped outside closing the door behind her. I turned to walk up the stairs, but something stopped me I turned around walking toward the door. I took a breath the opened the door "Zoey?" I said open the door trying to look like I was under the weather. "Grace are you alright?" Ravi said walking up to me "don't feel that good" I said moving back inside the house trying to keep space between us. "Mom told me your were under the weather I thought I should come check on you, and if you need someone to keep you company." Ravi said then handed me a small box "I stopped and picked up so soup, tea and something to read." He looked at me giving me a worried look. "Thank you, Ravi," I said blushing a bit. I decided that I would invite him inside so we could talk for a little bit before he had to get back to Grid battle force.
While Zoey warmed up the soup Ravi and I went to the backyard. "Grace, what's wrong?" Ravi said sitting beside me. "what do you mean?" I said wrapping up in my blanket doing my best to avoid eye contact. "Well I talked to Zoey last night and well it's the first time that I could an ear full from her." Ravi said with a smile on his face. "Grace I really like you" Ravi touched my hand "I wanted to ask you if you would be my girlfriend?" I was surprised by the question I sat there looking at him "Grace" Ravi said moving closure to me holding my hands "I thought that you and Roxie were together" I said looking up at him. He smiled "We are friends and I know we look like a couple at times, but we are just friends" I stood up then started to make my way back inside, but I felt someone grab my hand. "Grace, I really do like you" Ravi said then pulled me to him his lips pressing against mine. I slowly slipped my arms around his neck he pulled me closer to him. He started to pull away, but I pulled him back kissing him back. When the kiss ended, we stood there breathless. "Will you please be my girlfriend?" he said then touched my cheek. I nodded my head then kissed him again. "Grace the soup is" Zoey said opening the door but when she saw us, she slipped back inside waiting till the kiss ended.
Dino Charge—Tyler Navarro"Tyler" I said walking into the room giving him a smile "Ashlynn you came" Tyler said smiling at me with that charming smile of his. "What are you up too?" I said looking over at him then at the others. "I signed up for the charity talent show that the museum will be hosting." He said smiling at me. "We needed someone from the Café to participate." Ms. Kendall said sitting down at the table beside Riley and Chase. "Well what are you doing?" I said sitting beside Shelby trying to figure out what his talent would be. "Well I found this interesting book about hypnosis, and I thought it would be interesting act to do." Tyler smiled at me as he showed me a pocket watch. "Oh cool it sounds like it would be an interesting act. Who will be your assistant?" I looked at Tyler than at the others, but they just smiled at me "Will you be my assistant?" Tyler said smiling at me then gave me a pleading look. I couldn't resist those eyes I smiled then nodded my head. I knew Shelby loved him, but truth be told I had a huge crush on Tyler too. Since the day I met him I slowly began to fall in love with him, but did my best to hide it from everyone.
"Why did you agree to be his assistant?" Riley said as he made our way toward the park. I just turned and looked at him "Never mind" Riley smiled at me knowing my answer he let out a laugh. "Ash" Shelby called running up behind us. I turned around to smiling at her "Shel what's up?" I said watching her as she caught her breath. Shelby must have been running hard to take this long to catch your breath. "Tyler... Needs... you... To ... Come... back." Shelby said in between breaths. I shook my head then turned around making my way back to the museum "Can you wait a moment for me at least" Shelby called out then followed behind us. "Ok" I giggled stopping waiting for her to catch up with us.
***Tyler POV***
"Tyler are you sure this is a good idea? I mean why not just ask her about how she feels about you." Chase said sitting down across from me. I thought about what he was asking me, but I am scared to be rejected. Ashlynn is so pretty, smart, and amazing I am sure that she only thinks of me as a friend. "I have to agree with Chase" Ms. Kendall said placing her clipboard down on the table. She gave me a worried look "Tyler I know Ashlynn cares for you, and I am sure she likes you more than a friend." I gave Ms. Morgan a smile, but I still was too shy to ask her. I heard some chatter then I looked up to see Riley and Shelby walking through the door. "Where is Ashlynn?" I said when they made it over to the table. "She got a call from her Mom. She will be back in like an hour." Shelby said sitting down smiling. I stood up walked toward the door I need to see Ashlynn I wanted to tell her that I care for her. "Tyler where are you going?" I heard Riley call out for me "I am going to see Ashlynn." I said turning around "wait up I need to talk to you about something" I stopped waiting for Riley to catch up with me "Listen you know Ashlynn and I are very close right?" Riley said when he caught to me "Yes" I said "Just ask her out just me she will say yes" Riley said then smiled turning around making his way back to the others. I stopped and thought about what he said then turned around. I wanted to wait till she came back to help me practice.

"Alright just keep you eyes on the watch" Tyler said giving Ashlynn a smile then dropped a gold pocket watch in front of her. "Tyler this is really stupid this is will not" Ashlynn started to sat then her eyes closed her head dropping forward. "Is she okay?" Shelby said walking over to where Tyler and Ashlynn was. "Shhhh" Riley said placing his hand on Shelby's shoulder. "Ashlynn if you can hear me raise your head" Tyler said as he placed the watch on the table. Ashlynn raised her head to let Tyler know that he had her attention. "Ashlynn anytime you hear someone say" Tyler thought a minute he wanted to make sure that the words will not be something that will not be brought up so easy. He smiled when he came up with the right word. "when you hear someone say 'its about to get wild'. You will confess your true feelings to the person you like then kiss them." When the others heard what Tyler said they all rolled their eyes. "Really Sir Tyler you could not think of another action for Lady Ashlynn to do." Sir Ivan said crossing his arms. Tyle just gave him a serious look then turned his attention back to Ashlynn. "When I snap my fingers you will open your eyes then act normal" Tyler said then snapped his fingers. "not going to work" Ashlynn said then looked around. "Uhm what's going on?" She looked around at the others who were smiling at her. "Nothing" Shelby said then walked over to her. "come on we are going to be late for the costume fitting" Shelby pushing her toward the door giving Tyler the stinky eye. "I hope you are sure about this mate" Chase said shaking his head smiling. "Trust me" Tyler said then made his way outside.
Shelby and Ashlynn made their way back to the museum "so when are you going to tell Tyler that you have feelings for him" Shelby said smiling at her friend. "Shelby I value our friendship to much to even say anything" Ashlynn said giving her friend a small smile. "Ash" Shelby giggled "Tyler and I are friends. We tried the whole dating thing, but we learned that we were better friends than a romantic couple. Besides he likes you." Ashlynn stopped then looked at her friend "I thought you knew how much he like you." Shelby just gave her a shocked look then walked started making her way back to the museum. Ashlynn followed her slowly thinking about what she just told her.
Later that night:
"Are you okay?" Shelby said placing her hand on Ashlynn shoulder. Ashlynn nodded her head then let out a breath "He likes me" Ashlynn said looking at Shelby smiling. "Yes, he has for a while, but he is a little shy to tell you. "Shelby I really like him, and I want to tell him so bad, but I am scared he will laugh at me." Ashlynn said then looked in the mirror. She smiled when she saw how she looked "You did an amazing job Shelby" Ashlynn stood up and hugged her friend then there was a knock on the door. "Ashlynn we are up next" Tyler said walking in "Its about to get Wild". Ashlynn stopped then turned toward Tyler she walked up to him then kissed him deeply pulling him close to her. "Tyler I really like you and I have since I met you" Ashlynn said smiling. "Ashlynn" Tyler smiled at her then pulled her back to him kissing her deeply. "I feel the same. Will you go out with me?" Ashlynn smiled at him then she nodded her head.
