In the secluded, ice-capped mountains of Hokkaido, Japan lies the GAMA Private Hospital. An advanced medical facility, GAMA is a privately owned hospital and resort featuring technology far beyond that of most normal hospitals. The pristine building and the luxuries offered there are a mere facade however. GAMA has deep ties to the organ trade along with many other illegal activities. Only those with "connections" can get in. GAMA has accommodated all kinds of criminals and crooked individuals, ranging from bank robbers, to assassins, corrupt politicians, terrorists, and even the occasional super villain.
The facility has been on thin ice as of late however. Two high value clients, Eric Soders, former director of the ICA, and Yuki Yamazaki, a lawyer and an operative for the group known as Providence were mysteriously found dead. A few other odd deaths had taken place there afterwards, leaving many to believe the location to be compromised. In order to gain a better security force, GAMA has enlisted the help of the Foot Clan. Security conditions have improved, but GAMA's newfound association with the Foot has led to it being under the radar of Interpol.
Undercover, Interpol agent Chun Li has been spending a few days at GAMA, looking into claims of GAMA's unsavory actions and possible association with the Foot. Currently, Agent Chun Li is standing on the balcony of her room, overlooking the snowy ground below. Despite its reputation, GAMA is in a beautiful location. Chun Li is in a very simple disguise, her hair down, and wearing a vibrant orange kimono. She's looking at the snowy mountains, contemplating her next move.
Currently, her main plan consists of sneaking into the director's office on the opposite side of the resort. This will obviously be difficult, given the increased security around the base, but she knows that she is up to the task. While stealth isn't her primary skill, she believes she is competent enough to not get caught. She returns back inside to her room and looks at a laptop sitting on top of a dark brown wooden desk. On the laptop is the map of GAMA with various key locations marked.
Chun Li sits and stares for a few moments before finally coming up with a solid plan.
"Get to the outside walkway, get through the morgue, and head up through the office to the director's quarters. I'll need to go through the restaurant and find a way around the security though. The security will be higher on that end of the building. I'll likely need to incapacitate a few guards. Hmm." the agent thought to herself.
Chun Li exits her room into a hallway. Next to her room are a few other guest rooms nearby. Guards, along with some guests are wandering through the hall, attempting to get to either their rooms or somewhere else in the facility. Throughout the hall are potted plants, which contrast with the brown wood that makes up the rooms, along with the glass portions of the wall which allow the mountainside to be seen. Chun Li goes right towards the restaurant area of the resort, Sakura Sushi, passing by several patrons on her way there.
Due to how early it is, the restaurant is mostly empty, save from a few patrons and the guards. The restaurant is quite spacious, with small tables and round chairs placed around the black tiled floor. A few room dividers are also placed near the tables. Next to the seating area is a sushi bar, currently unmanned due to the time of day. Curious, Li moves towards the bar and notices a door behind the counter. After surveying her surroundings, she notices two guards, both wearing black suits with a symbol near the breast pocket. The symbol is a red, trident-like shape; the symbol of the Foot. The guards are observing the restaurant area, both having a wide few of the location. Both of them are also wielding MP5 submachine guns.
Chun Li decides to cause a distraction. She moves towards a tan and brown room divider, getting out of sight of the guards. She looks around again to check for other people and security cameras. Noticing neither, she then throws one of her hands forward.
"Kikoken" Chun Li whispers.
A small blue energy ball emits from her hand. The blue ball flys for a bit before hitting a window, shattering it and leaving behind a baseball sized hole. After this, Chun Li approaches the guards.
"Excuse me, I believe someone has broken a window over there." the Interpol agent says, pointing to the hole.
"Oh good lord. Thank you for the assistance." one of the guards says before both go to see about the hole.
"No problem." Li replies with a slight smirk.
With the guards gone, Chun Li wanders back to the sushi bar. She gets behind the counter and slides the door open, leading her to a path outside of the building. She peaks around a corner and sees a guard down some stairs, similar to the ones she had just distracted. The guard isn't really doing his job, paying closer attention to his cellphone than any of his surroundings. Chun Li slowly approaches the distracted guard from behind.
Once she's close, Li puts the guard in a sleeper hold, a move she learned from a Russian warrior named Zangief many years prior. She gradually applies more pressure to the guard's neck until he passes out. She places the unconscious guard on the ground and moves towards another door, this one made of glass. Back inside, she walks through a darker hallway with faint white lights and a sign near another door. The sign indicates a morgue up the stairs.
The Interpol agent makes her way up the stairway to the morgue. The stairway has blackwalls and almost ominous red lighting. She passes through an automatic sliding glass door into the morgue. She gets behind a bit of wall and peeks around the corner. Around the corner, Chun Li sees a group of two surgeons along with 3 guards. All of them are surrounding something Li cannot see. She begins to overhear them conversing.
"This thing is ugly as hell." says one of the guards.
"Marvelous isn't it? This is our latest variation of our Tyrant project." says a surgeon.
"It's not gonna attack is it?" says another one of the guards in a worried tone.
"No. It's not even animated yet. We'll have to take it back to home base to make it a living thing." replies the surgeon.
"I find it odd that Cobra goon would just give us the plans for the Tyrant project." the other surgeon says.
"Lord Shredder has many methods of making even the hardest people squeal like pigs. Some goon isn't gonna want to get halfway disemboweled for the sake of some group he probably knows doesn't really care about him." the first guard responds.
"You know come to think of it, does Shredder care about us?" asks the other surgeon.
"As long as we're loyal. Look when we eventually knock off all these other groups off the board, we'll be living like royalty. You'll s-"
The guard's sentence is cut off by the sound of gunfire somewhere else in the building.
"Code red people. You two hide somewhere. We'll take care of this." one of the guards says while prepping his MP5 for combat.
The guards disappear from the morgue through a glass door to the right of the table. The surgeons also leave through another door. More gunfire can be heard outside of the morgue. Chun Li peeks around once again and finally gets a glimpse of what the men were looking at. A sense of dread washes over her as she realizes what the thing on the operating table is.
What she is looking at is what is referred to as a Tyrant. She had only heard rumors and descriptions of them in the past, a myth floating around in the world of international affairs. Looking at one head on terrified her, knowing the context of its existence. Tyrants were apparently creatures encountered by survivors of the Raccoon City incident back in 2005. According to the survivors, they were some sort of super soldier project, made with the virus that infected the people of Raccoon City.
Ugly, disturbing, and terrifying are only some of the words that can be used to describe what Li is looking at. A bulky, muscular body covered by a black robe. Said robe is quite commonly worn by high ranking Foot members. Atop the body is an ugly, nearly skull like head which might have once belonged to a man. It has a small amount of black hair on the top of its head and a black ninja mask over its mouth. Chun Li also notes its large legs and right arm. For some reason, this creature is completely missing a left arm, the left shoulder being the only thing present.
Chun Li eventually snapped out of her daze. She remembers the danger going on outside and prepares herself mentally.
"I can't worry about this yet. I need to find out what's going on outside, people are in danger. I have got to report this back to HQ though." she thinks to herself.
Chun Li leaves the morgue through the same door the guards left through. Through the door she passes through a hallway into a garage area. Dead Foot guards are scattered about, on the ground along with the weapons they once wielded. More gunfire can be heard elsewhere, along with screams from the various staff and patrons. Before she can comprehend much else, Chun Li is stopped by three armed men sporting red and black armor pointing machine guns at her. She recognizes them as the Tekken Force, soldiers from the personal army of the Mishima Zaibatsu.
"Wait! Stop!" one of the armored men yells at her.
Before the soldier can do much else, he is met with a blue ball of energy, fired from Li's hands. The other men fire at her. Using her speed, Chun Li narrowly dodges the gunfire and lands a punch to one of the men sending him flying back into a wall. The guard still standing attempts to swing his rifle at Li. The attack lands, but Li retaliates with a swift knee to the stomach of the soldier. She then follows this up by kicking him in the face, rendering him unconscious.
The Interpol agent turns her attention to something happening somewhere above her. A large number of civilians enters the garage, all terrified of what is going on above. They have come from the spa up above, seeking shelter from the chaos. Chun Li turns to the terrified patrons.
"Stay down, find some cover, or hide. I'll try to deal with them." Chun Li says to the group.
"Are you nuts?! You'll get killed!" one of the men in the group responds.
"That doesn't matter! Now hide down here. I'll keep them off you." Chun Li responds.
The patrons oblige her, funneling into a small corridor. Chun Li makes her way up a snow path on the outside up to the spa area. The spa is near to large pools of water. The interior of the spa has brown wood walls and a few sliding wood doors as entrances. Throughout the room are black chairs, along with a few brown and tan dividers for privacy. The spa is riddled with bullet holes and the bodies of both Foot and Tekken soldiers. The gunfighting has moved elsewhere in the facility.
The Interpol agent makes her way through the bullet-ridden spa into a hallway. Across the hallway is the sushi restaurant from where she started. She turns her attention to the courtyard to her right. In the courtyard, more guards are battling the Zaibatsu forces. Moving down the path opposite the window overlooking the courtyard, Li decides to move towards the guest rooms to help anyone caught in the middle of the firefight. Down the path, Li finds five Tekken soldiers moving down the hallway, their back turned to her. One of them appears to have much thicker armor than the other four. Li decides to attack.
A Kikoken flys through the air and nails one of the guards in the back of the head, which sends him flying forward, his body slamming against the glass wall, leaving a massive crack. Li then transitions into her Spinning Bird Kick. This attack knocks the three other light guards down before Chun Li's leg gets stopped by the 5th guard's thick armor. The heavy armor guard grabs Li's leg and throws her against the door to one of the guest rooms. Li winces and looks back at the armored guard. The guard points has pulled out his sidearm and has it aimed at her. Before he can fire, a bullet ricochets off his helmet, causing him to shift his focus.
Using this opportunity, Chun Li hops up and faces the guard. The moment the guard turns back to her, he is met with a large flurry of kicks, a technique known to Li as Hyakuretsukyaku. The flurry of kicks hits the guard all over the upper half of his body, each one hitting harder than the last while bypassing the durability of the armor. With the guard dazed, Li delivers one final sweeping kick to his head, knocking him unconscious to the ground. Behind Li, someone is approaching.
"Hyakuretsukyaku. I've seen that move used before. There's only one person I've seen use it too." a male voice says coming from behind Li.
Chun Li turns her attention to the person behind her. A man, roughly middle aged sporting a yellow and black yukata robe. He has mid-length black hair and facial hair of the same color. In his right hand is a Bartoli 75R handgun, the same kind of sidearm held by the guards of the facility. Noticing the firearm, Li prepares to attack.
"Hold on now." the man says as he places his gun to the ground. "I don't want to fight you."
Chun Li stares for a moment, confused.
"I know who you are. You're Chun Li. You fought in the World Fighting Championship. I don't know why you're here, or why the Tekken force is here, but I know I don't want to fight you." the man tells Li.
"Ok. But who are you? What are you doing shooting at the soldiers?" Chun Li asks in response.
The man pauses for a moment, clearly hesitating before speaking. He eventually relents and begins to speak.
"John. John Wick." The man tells her.
Chun Li pauses.
"John Wick. I know that name from the Interpol database. He's wanted for several accounts of murder, as well as a number of robberies associated with the Payday gang. What exactly does he want?" she thinks to herself.
"You're a wanted man." Li tells the man.
"I know. Listen, at this rate, I'll gladly turn myself in. But as far as I see it, we both need to get out of here." John says.
"What are you proposing?" Chun Li asks, folding her arms.
"For lack of better word, we team up. There's a lot more of those Tekken soldiers around the facility. Apart I'm sure we'll get overwhelmed. But together, I'd say we at least have a slightly better chance of surviving."
"How do I know you won't kill me?"
"If I wanted to do that, I would have started with the killing and not a conversation. Besides that, you just destroyed the rough equivalency of a Bulldozer with a bunch of kicks. I'm just some guy in a robe with a cheap pistol. I don't think I'm too much of a threat to you." John answers.
"Alright. Fine. I'll join you. But try anything, you'll wind up like them." Chun Li says pointing at the defeated guards.
"Fair enough. What do you think we should do now?"
"We've got to take out the rest of the Tekken soldiers."
"What happened to us escaping?"
"There's still civilians here. I want to make sure they're safe before we go. And besides, it's not like you haven't dealt with multiple people attacking you before."
"Again. Fair enough."
John picks back up the Bartoli and follows close behind Chun Li as the two go further into the facility.
