Chapter 7
Himeko's Homecoming
With Kaguya defeated, Sailor Moon dropped to her knees, making everyone worried about her. Looking up into the sky, as the dark clouds slowly faded away into nothingness as life started returning to normal. At the airport, several reporters flocked towards Himeko and began asking about her time in space.
"In space, I saw Princess Kaguya," she said.
The reporters laughed, believing what she said to be a hilarious joke, and pressed her for even more questions, when she saw Kakeru with a bouquet of roses, and ran towards him. The two astronomers embraced as cameras clicked around them, while Luna, Usagi, and Sora watched happily at this reunion.
"Good for them," said the dark colored cat.
"Yeah," agreed Sora.
"Luna, are you sure about this?" asked Usagi.
"Of course, after all I'm just, a cat, right?" replied Luna.
But then Himeko saw something land in her hand. It was a small bag. Slowly but carefully she opened it up to see sugar candy inside of it, which made Kakeru remember Luna. As Luna walked away, she suddenly stopped to see Artemis approach her.
"Welcome back, Luna," he said to her.
"Artemis, why are you…?" she asked.
"No matter what happens, I'll always be by your side," replied her mate.
Overcome with happiness, Luna rushed towards him as Usagi and Sora were joined by Mamoru.
"Think she'll be okay?" asked Usagi's future husband.
"I think so," replied Usagi.
"Yeah, both Luna and Artemis, they're very much like you guys," said Sora, which made both Usagi and Mamoru chuckle.
In the ruined Citadel of Insomnia, Maleficent and Pete saw what had happened.
"It appears that Kaguya was consumed by her lust of transforming what she saw into a trophy for her own wall. Such foolishness will ultimately lead to those consumed by their ambitions will lead to their destruction," Maleficent said.
"I believe so, Maleficent. But, soon everything will come to pass, when Sora and his friends are destroyed by the daemons I command," Ardyn replied, in his grand tone.
"Whoa, now let's not rush things a bit too much Ardyn," warned Pete.
"But of course, Pete. I can assure you, that while we are in control of Eos, and while you and Maleficents are allies of Niflheim, there may yet be another opportunity to destroy them in the future," said Ardyn.
"A fact that I can agree upon," came Sephiroth's voice, as he emerged, from his duel with Cloud.
Maleficent smirked maniacally.
"What if we were to gather new allies to eliminate them?" asked Maleficent.
Sephiroth smirked at her, as a new face emerged.
"If you want a new ally, you guys got one, Ah-cha-cha!" an arrogant voice said from behind.
"Then we welcome you to our ranks Mortimer Mouse," said Ardyn.
Mortimer smirked, but he shook Ardyn's hand, but was hesitant about being around Sephiroth, who pointed Masamune near him.
"If you and Pete start letting your petty differences get the better of you, I'll have Maleficent's permission to make an example out of both of you," warned the One-Winged Angel.
