Chapter Nine: Doomed

"Barry. I don't like the sound of that."

The Doctor took out his screwdriver, and for the first time in the Speed Force, he tried to use it. He pointed it at the Dalek, but nothing happened.

"What is that?" Barry asked.

"My sonic screwdriver. I wanted to scan it. To see if it was actually dead. But I guess it doesn't work in here."

He put the screwdriver away and looked at Barry. "This, Reverse Flash, who is he?"

"I don't want to talk about him. I thought he was dead. I thought he was gone."

"Like the Daleks."

"Doctor, how are we supposed to fight against all this hatred?"

Just then, there was a flash of lightning. Someone else appeared in front of them. The Doctor looked up. "No," he said. "No, it's too soon."

"Who is that?" Barry asked.

"That's..." The Doctor started to tear up.

There was a red haired woman, in her late thirties, early forties, with a troubled look on her face.

"I'm so sorry, Donna!" The Doctor cried. "I didn't want to erase your memory. I had to! To save you."

The woman looked at him, and fell to the ground, weak.

She said to him, "I am not Donna. I am the Speed Force. We need your help. Doctor. Barry. We need both of you. Barry, you must take The Doctor out of here, back to Earth, you can't fight them in here. You must, go back..."

"But what about the Speed Force? It might lose control if I leave, tearing apart your world, and ours!"

"Barry," the Speed Force said, "as we speak, the Speed Force, and your world, are being torn apart. You must stop them. You must stop these Daleks. Stop Eobard. Defeat the enemy, Flash, and then we'll talk again. Doctor, we took this form to give you some comfort. What was done to Donna had to be done. You saved her. Now save us. Please. Doctor, I forgive you."

She disappeared.

With tears in his eyes, The Doctor said to Barry, "We have to go now."

Barry stood up, stood by The Doctor, and before they could move, a portal opened up in front of them. The Doctor and Barry looked at each other, nodded, and they stepped through the portal together.

They came out on the other side, the exact minute The Doctor had been pulled into the Speed Force. The guards and Lyla were still on the ground, and the Dalek was still headed towards them. The Dalek noticed the portal and stopped. He looked at The Doctor, then at Barry.

He started talking to them, screaming, "We are all connected now. The other Daleks and I. We are aware that you know about our friend. He has made us greater. Better. With the help of his special powers, and Dalek technology, we have become stronger together."

"The Daleks, teaming up with anybody. I'm sure you'll kill Thawne when this is done."

"Oh, I really don't think so," the Dalek laughed. And he zoomed off, as fast as The Flash can run.

"That was new," The Doctor said, puzzled.

"Doctor, I think the Daleks have access to the Negative Speed Force. Which means, they are as fast as me. Their hatred... with Thawne's... Doctor, I think we might need more help."

Just then, Lyla woke up.

"Barry, can you get me inside that building?" The Doctor asked.

"Barry?!" Lyla exclaimed. "You're back?! Iris told me you went into the Speed Force--"

"We'll talk later," Barry said to Lyla. "Doctor, where do you need to go?"

"He needs to get back underground, underneath the building, to the lowest level," Lyla interrupted. "But the elevator and the building itself have been compromised." Realizing what she said, and what dangers were kept down there, she had a worried look on her face. "We may have another problem."

Climbing up through the hole the Dalek made in the roof, were many angry creatures. The creatures that were all kept in the deep bowels of A.R.G.U.S. and some creatures that even Barry didn't recognize. They all jumped down from the roof and landed around The Doctor, Barry, and Lyla.

"How many creatures did you keep down there?!" The Doctor asked.

"Just a few," Lyla answered. "But that was just the lowest level. We had a lot of villains locked up on this site."

The guards started to wake up. They stood up and grabbed their guns.

As villains kept pouring out from the roof, The Doctor looked at Barry, who nodded slightly.

The last villain to land in front of them, was Grodd.

There they all were. The Doctor, Barry, Lyla, and four guards, the only four that made it out of the building. Against about twenty-five total villains surrounding them.
