Painted Red

Three years after Jae and Deku fell off the map, we find them in America, finishing up their plans to begin their attack on the world. New friends have been gathered along the way, and with her new team, Jae exposes the false heroes and all those that have wronged her in the past. How are Jae and Deku's relationship fairing after three years?

Hey guys! I hope you enjoy this new chapter. School is in full swing for me and I'm taking care of my mom so updates are gonna be kinda slow (not like i've been very fast about updating but ya know). Time to see what Jae and Deku have been up too in America!

Chapter 12: The Good Doctor

Jae stood before the door of Deku's office, she raised a hand to knock, but hesitated. Deku had very important guests today, and requested that he not be disturbed, but this was something they'd been waiting for for the past 3 years.

Taking a deep breath, Jae knocked on the door twice, wincing when she heard his harsh tone as he responded. "Enter." She opened the door slowly, taking in the room as she stepped inside. Deku was seated at his desk by the window, while two others were sitting in chairs before him. The two turned to look at her as she moved closer, but Jae didn't pay them any mind as she kept her eyes on her aggravated boyfriend.

"What is it Jae, as you can see, I'm in a meeting right now." His red eyes glared up at her as she stopped a foot behind his guests. "We found him, the Jacks are keeping him under surveillance as we speak."

Deku's eyes widened, before a smirk formed on his face. He turned his gaze to his guests, his quirk flaring as he spoke. "It seems we'll have to cut this meeting short gentlemen, have a safe trip back home." Before they could protest, they were swallowed up by Deku's green mist and teleported away from the property. No one knew where it was besides Deku, her, and the Face Cards.

"So." Deku stood from his desk, looking back to her with a soft expression, dropping his mask of anger now that his guests are gone. "Where is he?"

"Well, as you know, the Jacks were tracking him in Washington D.C, but it seems that he's returned to Massachusetts, and is back at the high school." Jae explained as she took one of the empty seats, her nerves on edge.

Sensing her distress, Deku moved around his desk before sitting on its surface before Jae. He gently placed his hands on her cheeks, rubbing his thumb against them as she looked at him sadly. "It'll be okay Jae, he can't hurt you anymore, not while I'm here."

Tears gathered in her eyes and a shaking breath escaped her as she leaned into his touch. Her shoulders shook as she tried to keep the sobs from escaping her lips. "I'm just so worried. Our plan has worked perfectly, Ivy is still attending school and with the training I've been giving her she's caught the eye of those bastards. I don't want her getting hurt, not like that." A haunted look overtook her features, her eyes staring blankly ahead, like she couldn't see Deku in front of her and she was in another place.

She remembered the cold metal table, the tightness of the straps that held her down, the pinch of the needles, the laughter that haunted her in her dreams when she screamed for mercy. A warm kiss on her forehead brought her back from the hell in her mind, causing her to gasp and stare up at her boyfriend. A soft smile was on his face and he just wiped her tears away as they fell.

"We'll get him Jae, and Ivy will be fine. Considering that I taught you how to bring out a quirks true potential, I'm sure that you gave her the necessary tools to succeed when you trained her. No one will ever hurt you like that again, I'll make sure of it. So no more crying, okay?"

"Heh, yeah. I'll be okay. Thank you, Deku." She buried her head in his lap, enjoying how his hands felt on her scalp as he ran his fingers through her hair. Deku just looked out the window, taking in the sight of the calm lake before him.

"The calm before the storm, huh?"

Jae sat before the mirror on her vanity, sliding her hair through her fingers as she twirled and twisted it. She eyed the scissors on the desk, wondering if it was time to cut her hair again. After coming back to the states, she cut it to help disguise herself, but three years later her hair is back down to her waist.

It was beginning to get in the way when she was on missions, and she hated putting it up or tying it back. Mind made up, she grabbed the scissors sliding them open as she brought them up to her hair. Before she could make the first cut, her door burst open, causing her to snap her head in the direction of the person who dared barge into her room.

"Jae! You better not be doing what I think you're doing!" Ginger chided as she walked into the room, all ready for their mission tonight. Jae just sighed and turned back to the mirror.

"I'm thinking of cutting it, it's getting in the way." She flipped her hair over her shoulder, watching as it cascaded down her back in the mirror. "Well, I won't let you cut your hair, but I on the other hand will." With a smile Ginger grabbed the scissors from her hand and brushed her hair straight in the back.

Jae watched as Ginger snipped her hair, her gaze following the strands as they floated to the floor. Soon enough, Ginger was finished and her hair was cut to her collar bones. Jae smiled, fluffing her hair as she got used to the new style. "Thanks Ginger, I wouldn't have been able to cut it so straight on my own."

Jae stood from her chair, moving to her closet. After changing into her mission clothes, she grabbed her boots, gloves, arm bands, and her fans. She slid the bands up her arms first before pulling on her boots and slipping her fans into the hosters on her hips.

She sat back at her desk while Ginger flopped onto her bed, pulling out her phone. Jae put on her heart shaped face stickers and added a bit of dark red eyeshadow to her lids. Lastly with a bit of red lip gloss and her gloves pulled on, Jae was ready. She checked the clock, seeing that it was almost time to meet with the others.

"Come on Ginge, we gotta get going or we'll be late." Pulling on her black coat, she moved to the door, not waiting for her friend as she made her way to the meeting room. Ginger followed behind her, still scrolling on her phone as they went.

They made it to the meeting room quickly and entered without delay. All the Face Cards were present besides the Jacks and Ivy. Meaning that Ginger, Alchemi, Tesla, and Melanie, Ivy's sister and the Queen of Clubs, were there. Melanie was recruited a bit after Ivy was, her power of Bad Luck is very unpredictable because it can affect others or herself at any time. She usually stays away from other people besides her sister, who grew up dealing with the unpredictable quirk.

Deku had still not arrived yet, but Jae decided to get some information before he showed up. "Mel, how's Ivy's mission going? Any new developments?" Melanie sat up in her chair, even though she was the oldest here, Jae was definitely her leader and someone to be respected.

"There has been. Since it's close to the end of the school year, they have decided that Ivy will begin her lessons now and continue during the summer as a "special program". She begins her first lesson tonight at 5pm." Melanie reported swiftly.

Jae moved to one of the couches and sat down, sighing. "Of course, they'll try to keep her in that lab as long as possible, I bet they'll try and get her to stay in the dorms all summer to keep her close and monitored."

Jae cut herself off when she felt the mark pulse warmly on her chest. Sensing that their boss was near, they all stood from their seats when the green mists filled one part of the room, revealing Deku from within. Wearing his trademark suit with a red dress shirt and gloves, Deku ran his eyes over his attentive members.

"Let's get this mission started, shall we?"

"So, are you excited to start your extra lessons today Ivy?" The teacher asked as they walked down the halls of the highschool, making their way to the training room.

"Yes sir, very excited actually. It's such an honor to be chosen for extra lessons in the summer, I'm sure to get noticed by the top hero agencies after I graduate." Ivy gave the despicable man a smile dripping with honey, her voice light and cheerful as she followed dutifully beside him. She knew exactly what kind of person this man was. A man who takes pleasure in experimenting on children, a man who only cares for results and research.

"Yes, I'm very certain that all the hero agencies will be clamoring for you to join them, but we still have a lot of work to do." They stopped in front of one of the doors, and he placed a hand on her shoulder when he addressed her, giving her the fakest smile she had ever seen.

Ivy steeled herself, not wanting the man to touch her, but she had to keep up the act as she nodded in understanding. "Good, now you will enter the training room while I go into the monitor room. We'll begin your first lesson once you're inside." With that said he moved to another door a few meters down the hall and entered.

Ivy took a deep breath, preparing herself for what will be an awful experience, and rubbed her right arm beneath her uniform. She felt the security of her Face Card bangle, knowing that it allowed Jae and the others to track her location. She was safe, her friends were coming to stop this madness, and she had an important role to play.

Opening the door, she walked inside. She looked around, seeing the cameras and vents littered throughout the room, and in the corner stood one of their training robots. It wasn't activated, but she knew this would be her "lesson" for the day. Many different plants had been placed around the room, including roses, vines, and a few others as well.

"We'll begin with the training bot on the medium setting." The man's voice came through the speaker above her as the robot powered on. Ivy immediately put herself on alert, using her quirk to control the roses by her feet. They grew and wrapped around her arms, the thornes becoming larger and sharper as she prepared to take the bot down.

When the bot charged her, she countered slicing down its chest when its first attack missed her. This went on for a few minutes, and it was far too easy. Ivy knew that there was going to be some kind of catch, something that will affect her quirk or herself. As if on cue the man spoke once again.

"It seems that this is far too easy for you, we're going to up the difficulty." Ivy paid attention to his choice of words. We're. The doctor was definitely here, and he was watching, this is exactly what they wanted. Before she could process, the sprinklers above her head went off. She raised her arms to protect herself from the water that poured down on her, but when she smelled it, she realized that it wasn't water.

She gasped and choked when the substance absorbed into her skin. "Herbicide!" Ivy's quirk was complicated, and when she controlled the plants it was like they became a part of her. This made her very sensitive to chemicals and other substances that affect plants. Her vision blurred as she tried to get her bearings. 'This is not good, I wasn't expecting them to douse me in the stuff.'

Before she could recover, the robot attacked her, smashing her into the wall. She screamed in pain, trying to control the vines to attack it, but they were all wilted and burning from the herbicide. 'Not good, not good at all. I have nothing to attack with.'

Ivy panicked for a moment. Trying to figure out how to get out of this situation when the robot before her shut off and so did the sprinklers. Ivy took a deep breath, thanking god that this stupid farce was finally over.

"Ivy, stand away from the door." She heard Deku's voice sound through the speakers and she moved far away from the metal door as someone began to bang on the thick metal. With one large blast of wind, the door blew off its hinges, straight into the training dummy and smashing into the wall.

Jae came through the open doorway, pushing her hair from her face as she let out a breath. "Damn, I forgot how tough they make those doors." She brushed the non existent dust from her hands as she moved farther into the room. She smelled the air and her eyes went wide as she rushed over to Ivy, who was still struggling against the effects of the herbicide.

"Shit, did they douse you in herbicide!" Water gathered around her hands as she began to wash the floating liquid over Ivy's body. The herbicide blended with the water, coming off of the plant user's skin as Jae continued her treatment.

When she was sure that all the herbicide was off, she moved the water to the corner of the room, pulling the water away from the herbicide, letting the gross liquid fall to the floor. The water shot out at the cameras in the room, destroying them to make sure that no one was watching.

Jae then pulled the water back to her hands, allowing the bright blue glow to encompass her eyes and hands as she pushed the water into Ivy's body, healing any damage that the poison caused. Ivy sighed in relief when the pain in her lungs subsided and she could breathe normally again.

"Thanks Jae, that stuff was really potent, I've never had a reaction like that before." Jae just smiled, shaking off her thanks while the glow dimmed from her eyes and the water evaporated. A buzz sounded in her ear as someone contacted her on her earpiece.

"Jae, we've got the teacher and the doctor, come to the monitoring room next door." Alchemi's voice sounded as he gave her the good news. "Okay, we're coming."

Jae and Ivy moved into the room next door, seeing all the monitors on the wall and the control board below it. In front of that was the teacher and the doctor, encased in concrete that seemed to have morphed from the floor. The impromptu prison was courtesy of Alchemi no doubt. Deku stood before the two prisoners, Ginger, Alchemi, Tesla, and Mel standing behind him as they glared at the true 'villains' before them.

The doctor laughed maniacally when he saw her in the doorway, causing Jae to shiver as memories floated through her mind. "I knew you'd come back eventually, my prized experiment!"

Not missing a beat, Deku backhanded the laughing man to shut him up. "She's not your toy anymore doctor, you'd do well to remember that." Even with the harsh slap, the doctor wasn't phased.

"That's where you're wrong Mr. Villain. Even though she may have gotten away by going to UA, she'll always be my experiment." Jae let out a shaky breath at his words, pulling her anger to the surface to cover her fear as she stomped over to the bound man.

"I never was, and never will be yours!" She stopped a few feet away, not wanting to get too close as tears of frustration filled her eyes. The doctor scoffed at her attempt to act tough, knowing that deep down she still feared him more than anyone.

"But you are Jae Dear! And I've heard that UA has been looking for you since you disappeared with this villain." He glared at Deku, showing his obvious disgust towards the villain.

"Jae isn't yours! And UA won't be getting her back!" Ginger spat from behind, Tesla holding her back from punching the smug doctor in the jaw. The doctor chuckled before going silent.

"So you think." With those words a strange blue liquid dripped down from the ceiling over Jae's head, enveloping her body as she struggled to get it off. Everyone cried out her name, trying to pull the liquid off of her, but they couldn't get it off before it disappeared, taking Jae with it.

Deku let out a yell of anger as he turned to the doctor, pulling out his switchblade and holding it to the man's neck. "Where is she! Tell me right now before I cut your head from your shoulders and leave it on a stake for the whole school to find!"

The doctor didn't react to his threat, smirking as his eyes shined with madness. "You're not the only one with a teleportation quirk! I knew when you killed Mr. Black that you'd come for me next, and that you'd bring her along this time."

Ginger shrugged Tesla off of her and moved next to Deku, a blade of fire burning in her hands so hot that the flames were blue. "Where is she! Tell me right now or I'll make your face look like melted plastic!"

"It doesn't matter what you do to me, she's already with my staff, all the way in Japan!" Deku shaked in anger, feeling for Jae through their connection. The doctor was correct, Jae was in Japan.

"Ginger, burn his face off, I'll deal with him when you're done." Deku moved away from the man whose face contorted with fear. His pleas for mercy were left on deaf ears as Ginger happily roasted the man's face with her palm. The teacher shook in his seat as he watched his boss suffer. The smell of burning flesh filled the room, but none of the villains flinched at the man's pained screams and whines when Ginger moved away.

"You all get out of here, go to location 5. I'll meet you there shortly after I wrap things up here. Contact the Jacks, we need everyone for this." He paused for a moment, collecting himself. "Alchemi, prepare the jet to fly to Japan, we're going after Jae, and we'll take out anyone in our way."

They all nodded before leaving quickly to get ready for their trip. Jae was taken right out from under them, and they could do nothing but wait as they tried to locate her.

Deku remained silent as the door closed behind Jae's team, both men sobbing as they waited for their inevitable death at the hands of the merciless villain before them. "It's a shame that I don't have time to make this as painful as possible, but I'm sure the burns from Ginger are enough for now."

With a precise flick of his wrist, Deku's blade slit both their throats, choked gargles came from the men as they took their last strangles breath. Deku stared blankly at the two dead men before letting purple fire wrap around his hands. The fire stretched outwards, engulfing the room with its flames as he burned the evidence. He had a girl to find, and new enemies to kill, he'd better get started.

Jae was not happy at all. Bruises and cuts littered her skin, needle marks ran up the inside of her arms and her limbs pulsed with pain as blood pumped through them. She could feel the cool metal and leather of the quirk cancelling collar around her neck, and she stayed silent as she was led through the halls of her old school, head tilted down as she watched the floor.

They reached a door and she was shoved inside by the brute holding her. She almost tripped but the tight grip on her arm kept her upright as he pushed her into a chair. She was seated on one side of a long table, her chair being the only one on her side, while many others were empty on the other.

The handcuffs around her wrists clanked against the wooden table, but she was happy that they didn't remove her gloves, which were the only things keeping her wrists from rubbing raw. Although they had taken her precious fans, she wanted those back. It had been a few days since she'd been teleported from her team, and when she had come out of the portal she was at the mercy of the 'good doctors' associates.

Not wanting to waste a good opportunity for tests, she was poked and prodded at, and some got too bored with normal tests and just beat her. After finishing with their tests, she was loaded onto a truck and shipped here, back to UA, but this time it wasn't as a top student. Her whole body was in pain, but she didn't let it show as she sat proudly at the table, waiting for the heroes to walk through the door.

Not wasting time, the door opened and the UA staff made their way to their seats. Nezu, Cementos, Snipe, Powerloader, Ectoplasm, Present Mic, Eraser, and Midnight took their seats before her. She didn't address them, simply staring straight ahead as she refused to be intimidated. Trailing behind the rest, All Might entered the room, his weak form present at the moment as he took the seat beside Nezu, who was directly in front of her.

They stayed silent, in somewhat of a stalemate as neither side moved to speak. Jae refused to break the silence first, they wouldn't get anything from her anyways. It seemed that the heroes were through with their weak intimidation tactics as the principle spoke first.

"Miss Enderson, glad to see you back her once more." Ah, so they were going for the nice approach this time, but Jae didn't respond. They waited patiently for her reply, but continued when they realized she wouldn't talk.

"You have been charged with aiding a villain organisation, un-authorized quirk use against heroes, and the murder of Kai Chisaki." Jae flinched slightly at the mention of the gang leader, still not over the trauma of killing another person, but she kept her face a mask of stone.

"Do you have nothing to say to refute these charges?" Nezu asked, but still he got no reply.

"You disappoint me, Enderson." Eraser chimed in, causing her to glance in his direction. "I believed that you could fight off Deku and come back to us, but it seems I was wrong." His harsh voice cut deep, but she kept her mask of disinterest. She never wanted to disappoint him, but this was the path that fate had chosen for her, and she won't turn back now.

She sat up in her seat, lacing her fingers together as she spoke for the first time. "You won't get anything from me, Heroes. As you can see," She gestured to the bruises and cuts littered across her body. "I've had quite the day, and I wouldn't expect me to be here very long. The only person I will speak with is Ground Zero. So why don't you let him in? We have much to discuss."

Her cold eyes didn't match the sweet smile she wore, and the heroes shivered at the coolness of her voice. They didn't know how she knew that the hero was outside, but they didn't complain as Eraser stood from his seat moving to open the door.

Katsuki walked in, in full hero costume besides his mask and gauntlets. He had grown taller during their years apart, probably over a foot taller than herself, who hadn't grown an inch past 5'1. Nezu moved from his seat, allowing the young hero to take his place across from her.

As he sat there in silence, Jae heard a voice in her head. "Jae, can you hear me?" Jae almost jumped at the voice, but she kept her face clear of any emotion as she responded. "Deku? Is that you?" The mark on her chest pulsed warmly, a clear sign that this mind mojo was due to its presence. "Yes, The Face Cards and I are in Japan. I know you're at UA. Good thing they didn't take off your arm bands, huh?"

Jae agreed in her thoughts, glad that they didn't know they were actually trackers. "I'm in a conference room on one of the highest floors. Katsuki and the rest of the UA staff are present." She was glad that Katsuki was just observing her, looking over her injuries and frowning at her blank face.

"We can't attack the school just yet. We traveled all night to get here, at least you're with UA and not that doctor's staff." "Oh no, I was with those assholes, they ran tests and beat the shit out of me." "Well, it's a good thing that the trackers record all locations you travel to. I'll pay them a visit and… thank them for their hospitality towards you."

Before she could respond, Katsuki finally spoke. "You asked for me, and I'm here. So why don't you get whatever you've been wanting to say off your chest." His harsh tone didn't phase her and she just smiled. "No need to be so rude Katsuki, it's not like I asked to be here." She waved her hands, jingling the cuffs around her wrists.

"Cut the crap Jae. Where is he? Tell me right now!" He slammed his hands on the table, the sound bouncing through the room. The teachers sat silent as statues, watching Jae's reactions carefully. "How would I know, I was taken away rather abruptly and didn't get a chance to ask him what his plans were." She rolled her eyes, stating the obvious, although she already knew he was here in Japan.

"How exactly did you get caught, we've been looking for you for years and no ones come close enough to even look at you." Katsuki interrogated as he ran his eyes over her obvious injuries. "Oh, well you see, I was visiting an old acquaintance and he decided to ship me out here for some old fashion human experimentation and torture before he sold me off to the heroes."

She said it so simply, like she wasn't bothered by it at all. Midnight chimed in, her voice quiet as she tried to process what she'd said. "Human experimentation? What are you talking about Jae?" Jae moved her eyes to her old mentor, the coldness in her eyes dimmining.

"Exactly what I just said. My old school system was a front for quirk experiments. Tests to show how far one can push themselves and their quirks. I had the honor of being one of those special students in middle school. The 'good doctor' who was performing these experiments decided to send me here like a gift to you, but not before he got some more results."

Jae kept her tone even and her smile prominent, even though all she wanted to do was curl up in a ball and cry as more memories flashed before her eyes. Her fingers began to twitch as her control began to slip.

"Calm down Jae, they're all gone. I will make sure that no one escapes my wrath when I avenge you and the other students. You need to focus on the treat in front of you!" Deku's voice washed over her, calming her down.

"They what!" Katsuki yelled as he tried to suppress his rage at the new information. "Deku didn't do this to you?" Rage flowed through her, her eyes burning as she stood from her seat, slamming her hands on the table. "How dare you-"

In her anger, her quirk activated on its own, causing the repressor to shock her. She screamed in pain as the device shot electrical currents through her body. She tensed, falling back into the chair as the heroes before her stood to see if she was alright. She was breathing heavy, her mind running wild as memories of her 'experiments' flowed through her mind.

Submerged in water, they sent electricity through it, and her. She screamed as her mind tricked her into believing she was back in that room, her body shook violently as she tried to escape the mental prison she was trapped in. Cold and alone. The heroes rushed over to her as Katsuki jumped over the table and tried to hold her down.

"Jae, Jae! Snap out of it!" When that didn't work he looked to his former teacher in desperation. "Eraser, what's wrong with her? She won't respond!" Eraser pulled Jae's head up, looking into her eyes. When he saw her far off expression, he realized that she wasn't even seeing them. "She must be having some sort of attack. Her mind has put her somewhere else, she cant even hear us!"

Suddenly, Jae stopped shaking and her head dropped down. They all watched in suspense as she didn't move for a few moments, and then she spoke. "That's enough." The heroes stepped back when they heard the difference in her voice. Her head slowly lifted, showing the heroes that her eyes were no longer purple, nor blue or silver, but a piercing red. The mark on her chest glowed dimly, pulsing every few seconds.

"Jae?" Katsuki asked cautiously, not knowing what was going on. Her eyes snapped to him when he spoke, and one look at his scared expression sent her into a fit of laughter. "Not quite." The dark smirk on her face was out of place and the heroes backed away at the dark presence leaking from her.

"How have you been Kacchan? The hero life treating you well?" Her head tilted sideways as she watched his face turn from horror to anger in a second. "Deku!" He sneered at her, or him in this case. "What the hell are you doing! Get the fuck out of her head!"

"I don't think so. Jae has been through enough today, I won't let you mess with her mind like you've been doing." Deku responded, the tone strange coming from Jae's voice.

"You're the one messing with her head bastard! You let Jae go right now!" Eraser held him back as he lunged at 'Deku'. "Don't! You'll just end up hurting Enderson!"

"Thats right. Now why don't you all sit, shut up, and listen for once." Offended by his quip, the heroes stayed put. Deku sighed, knowing that they wouldn't listen anyways. "Okay then, I'll make this quick, I have other things to do. Soon, I will begin my siege on Japan, and when I do all you heroes will fall. One by one, agency after agency until no one is left standing. I hope you're all prepared. The storm is coming."

They all went to interject, most likely to ask what he was planning, but he cut them all off. "Your schools will crumble, your ideals shattered, and from the ashes a new age will be born. Before I go, I'll give you one last warning. If Jae is harmed in your care, I will come to this school and burn it to ashes, along with all your precious students. She may be putting on a good face, but I can feel the pain of her injuries. Get her a doctor immediately. I will be coming for her, I hope you are prepared."

With one last chuckle, Jae's head dropped once more, and she gasped as the red faded from her eyes and she looked up at the heroes before her. Mind muddled, she tried to piece together the blurry conversation that had just occurred. "That ass, he never told me he could do that."

Everyone watched her carefully, not sure what to do. "What was that?" Midnight asked in shock. Jae just shook the dizziness from her mind, cracking her neck as she rolled it around. "Don't ask me, that's never happened before."

Nezu spoke quietly to Ectoplasm in the back of the group. "Go get Recovery Girl, we'll heal her injuries." The hero nodded and exited swiftly. The other heroes tried to piece together what had happened.

"How was he able to use that mark while she was wearing an inhibitor? She should have been shocked when it activated." Present Mike pondered as he tried to figure the strange mark out. Katsuki, hearing the hero's thoughts, took another look at the mark on her chest. His eyes widened when he realized something was off.

"Jae, why is the mark red instead of purple." The silent conversations that the heroes were having stopped as they all noticed the difference as well. Jae hummed, wondering what answer she should give them.

"I don't really know, it just changed one day." She brushed it off, not finding it important, but Katsuki didn't buy it. "Cut the crap, I know that tone, you're dodging the question." He glared at her, trying to get her to give it up as the other heroes looked at her expectantly.

"Not like it matters, but Deku may have mentioned something about it." She paused, teasing the intrigued heroes. "It just means that the mark has been fully assimilated to me, meaning that I accept its presence." The color changed from her favorite color, being purple, to Deku's favorite color, which is obviously red.

"Accepted its presence." All Might spoke for the first time. She glanced at him, wondering why he had been so quiet. "How could you accept that mark with all that it's put you through. I remember when you got it, and I remember our discussion after words, do you? What has changed since then, how have you fallen so far?"

His voice was solem, as if he still didn't believe it. Jae just looked at him, before her head tilted and a smirk grew on her face once more. "I remember it perfectly All Might, but that was before I knew the truth, before I knew what you were really after." All Might watched her wearily, not expecting what came next.

"Have you found a successor yet, former number one, you might wanna hurry. A storm is coming ya know." All Might's trademark smile vanished from his face at her words. His mind reeling as he tried to figure out how she knew about his quirk. He had only told her about All for One, not One for All.

"What does that mean Jae? What storm is coming." Katsuki asked forcefully, causing her to snap her head in his direction. A smile formed on her face slowly, and suddenly, the alarms began to blare. The heroes all straightened, putting themselves on high alert.

"What's going on? Who set off the alarm?" Midnight asked as she pulled out her flogger. The door burst open and a student came through. "Principle! There's villains attacking the front gate! Actually, they've destroyed it!"

"Destroyed it?" Nezu repeated in shock. Eraser chimed in, "Is it Shigaraki again?"

"No sir, two unidentified villains, one male and one female. They have card suits painted on their faces, spades and clubs." The student informed them, out of breath from running all the way up there.

"It's the Face Cards! Be on guard, there are many more than two." As soon as Eraser said those words, the electricity flickered on and off. The heroes all watched the lights as they continued to strobe. "Powerloader, Cementos, Present Mike, go protect the front gate. Tell the students to evacuate. Other pro's should be arriving soon!" They all left immediately, leaving Midnight, Eraser, Katsuki, and All Might to keep watch over Jae.

"It seems the storm has arrived." Jae said simply as the lights went out. Blue electricity flickered above their heads, roaming around the room. A circle of blue light glowed in the darkness, and out came three figures in the darkness. "Eraser is going to be a problem, take him out." A female voice spoke to the man next to her, and in an instant, Eraser was frozen in time.

The lights came back on and the remaining heroes stared in shock at their frozen colleague. Katsuki looked at Jae, seeing that a red headed girl had already removed the hand cuffs and inhibitor around her neck. Jae rubbed her neck once the damn thing was off of her. "Thanks Ginge, that was giving me some trouble.

She flexed her hands, eyes turning blue as water glided from the air and onto her skin. The signature glow of her healing ability filled the room, distracting the heroes enough for Tesla to electrocute Katsuki, and Max to pull Midnight into a hold. Ginger stood behind All Might, two fingers poised at his neck, fire flickering from the tips like a blow torch.

With the heroes subdued, Jae had enough time to heal all her injuries and stand. Elon moved towards her, giving her a smirk as he tossed her some objects. She caught them deftly, realizing that they were her fans. "How did you?"

"A gift from the Boss, he sent them over after he was finished with that errand." Elon replied smugly. Jae just chuckled. "Of course, he's finished already it seems." She snapped the two fans open, enjoying the weight of them in her hands once more. "Sorry for the interruption, but we'll be going now."

She signaled for Max to create a portal, and she did so quickly. Ginger released All Might, still keeping her fire flaring as she slowly backed away. Tesla, no longer in his electricity form, gave Katsuki one more jolt before letting him drop to the floor. Max just tightened her hold on the pro in her grasp, knocking her out before moving to the portal.

"Jae…" Katsuki struggled on the floor, trying to regain feeling in his limbs. Jae stopped and looked down at her old friend. "There's nothing left to say Ground Zero. See you when the next storm comes." With those last words, they all disappeared through the portal, leaving the defeated heroes to mourn their failure.

Hey guys! Shorter chapter than last week, but I hope you liked it. I'm still trying to figure out what my endgame for this story is going to be, but I have a few ideas. I'm thinking that this story will be about 15 chapters, maybe more. Next time I'll go into more detail about Jae and Deku's relationship now that they've had time to sort things out. Please let me know what you guys think so far!
