Ch:14 Coordinator's fortune and heart's hunches

"No way..." said the coordinator on a complaint.
"Pip?"
" What is the matter?" The boy turned back. Dawn had suddenly turned pale.
"Are you okay, Dawn?" asked the gym leader.
" Yeah, no need to worry," she looked at them with a sly, smiling face, but that phrase had already alarmed Paul.
"I just..." and the coordinator blushed in shame. Why would these things be happening to her right now?
"I just broke the sole of my boot," she said in a muted tone.
" Is that all? ..." said Paul, who by the look on her face had thought it was something more serious.
"What do you mean 'that's all'? I won't walk like this. I need to locate an shoe store immediately.
"Hey you guys, we're lucky, look over there," the redhead pointed to the corner across the street.
.
.
.
The store in question had a banner attached to their entrance that said, "Apeccial Offer on Sale for All Couples Today!"
Dawn's eyes shone brightly as she recognized what was behind the glass window: "a pair of "Shoespie" boots." They were stylish white, high to the knees boots, each with a stiletto heel and side zipper and two silver buckles.
"This pair, I can't believe it... they are so beautiful..."
"Hey!" complained the purple haired guy when he saw the coordinator glued to the window.
"Wow, they're really nice..." replied the leader as she approached them. But suddenly she felt that her pokegear was vibrating along with a strange hunch in her heart. There was something she suddenly felt, a sense of worry. But what was it?
"Yes? hello."
On the other side, the guy who only had to clean the pool, sounded pretty worried about what his eyes could see and by the indifference the the sensational sisters were displaying, who had all put on sunglasses to enjoy the show front row at the pool.
"What do you mean I need to go and see it?" she asked, somewhat upset that none of her sisters had been reporting to her on the said incident. She was really outraged.
"Hey Paul, Dawn..." she called them both.
However...
"It was not supposed that coordinators should make the pokémon shine nor themselves." he said, as he watched how that young girl's eyes shone so brightly while she kept blabbering with her piplup about her presentations and how well she would match her outfits with those not so simple boots.
" I know that very well, but that doesn't mean that the coordinator would not want to look great. Right Pipplup?"
"Pip" answer the pokémon while giving Dawn thumbs up.
"You are gonna tripping on those boots," he said, crossing his arms and mumbling underneath.
"Welcome!" greeted them from behind a young woman older than they were. She placed her hands behind their backs, lightly pushing them toward the store. "Come in, don't be shy, come into our store, we have great discounts for couples visiting today."
" Hold on, we're not..." began Dawn as she waved her hands. But after taking a glimpse at the label on the boots in question and the actual price, she was left speechless.
Misty, on the other hand, had a bad feeling, something was going on and she couldn't stay calm and waiting for Dawn to find shoes. She needed to get back quickly.
"Sorry guys, I have to go to the gym right now, See you Paul. Dawn, you can come to the gym too."
Then she left.
Paul noticed Misty's nervousness and instinctively followed her around until she eventually disappeared from his line of vision, but now it was his turn to get nervous when he felt Dawn had grabbed his arm and by bringing her face closer to his ear she whispered to him: "Please, it's a good offer."
The pokémon chirped alarmed loudly: "!Pippluuup!
Menwhile, Paul didn't say anything, just arched an eyebrow as if to say, "You're kidding, right?"
The coordinator laughed nervously quitting quickly her glance from him. And now, by addressing the saleswoman, she wanted to ask.
"Are those discounts only for couples, right?" she turned to the saleswoman.
"That's right. You two are a thing, right?"
"Ah...of course, ha-ha...shall we go in?... Right, Paaaul?" The guy felt his name has sounded a little seductive even though that wasn't her intention.
He looked at her again, a bit surprised by her audacity, but he already knew Dawn Berlitz. When she wants to get away with something, she can really be persistent, and she was really stubborn, as she was at the time, for those boots.
As she gently pulled on his arm, a memory came to his mind of an occasion when they were at his brother's house, He, Reggie, She and her boyfriend the coordinator who for the last few days before their breakup, seemed to have a mania to come with her to visit them.
"Ah... It' s so hot! Oh, Kenny, could you get me an ice cream sundae with cookies, but make it peach. Oh, sorry Reggie, what flavor you want?"
"Oh, if it's not too much trouble, Kenny. I just want a chocolate chip cream cone."
"Perfect, and you Paul..."
"No, nothing thanks." He said while checking his new Dexter.
"What, nothing? But it's so ho now."
"Kenny, get for Paul that one that tastes like coffee and chocolate."
"Wha-at? for him too?" Complained the coordinator.
"I said I don't want any..." Insisted the trainer.
" See it... he doesn't want it Dawn."replied the coordinator.
"And I say that you should try it, I assure you that you will love it."
And Kenny went for the orders. And at the end, Paul liked the ice cream, no more than his favorite: the mint with peanuts, but it's definitely his second favorite even though he never had told her.

"Psy, Psy Psy!" the Pokémon duck came to receive her trainer, by running out of the gym holding its head very alarmed.
"Psyduck, what's going on?"
"Pika! Pikachu, Pikapi," Misty could heard the pokémon, accompanied by a fierce growl.
When Misty entered, she could notice the condition of the place. The whole gym was soaked. She could also locate her sisters who had finally stood up in their swimsuits. It had been too much. Funny at the beginning of course.
"Misty, hypnosis doesn't work," exclaimed Daisy, who couldn't get Espeon near the huge pokémon.
So Misty, in the face of all the chaos, shouted at the top of her lungs: "That's enough GYARADOS!"
.
.
.
In a public park near the gym, Dawn marveled at her new boots. She wanted to take advantage of the farce discount to buy a dress as well, but felt it was too much discomfort for Paul. Anyway, she decided to take something else from that store but not to tell him, it was a secret. So while they were both walking out of the store, he with his hands in his pockets, all n his thoughts and ahead of her. Dawn though, he was upset with her because it must have made him very uncomfortable there. So, She didn't say anything.
Dawn, who was walking too as looking at his back, suddenly though she had heard a guy walking behind her.
"Phew, beautiful... what an ass, can I teach you babe?" Dawn just ignored the weirdo who walked past her. But suddenly she felt something ripping, it was her dress. So, she turned to look at the weirdo who showed her a knife.
"PIPLUP PECK! MAXIMUM ATTACK!" the coordinator was heard screaming in outrage.
"Auch ah...it hurts!"
"What's the...?!" the trainer turned around stopping his pace. And at first glance he knew everything. Dawn all embarrassed leaning against a wall while her piplup was attacking a dude who at first glance looked like a weirdo pervert. So he feeling a distasteful sensation came over to the guy.
"What's up dude, are you her boyfriend?" asked the delinquent at seeing his sour face with his eyes brighting like flames. He seemed in rage.
"I don't tolerate that kind of behavior," and Paul just ended up knocking him to the ground with a firm fist to his chest.
"Here..." he had pulled out his blue stretch down jacket and extended it to Dawn.
Dawn opened her mouth in shock, Paul had not called a Pokémon to defend her. This would be the first time she had seen him use physical violence on anyone. I had never imagined him hitting someone like this.
"Thank you," she just muttered shyly as she tightened his jacket around her waist.
.
.
.
"Ash, are you all right? Please tell me, Ash." The girl had been patting his cheeks for a while. "It couldn't be, no way." She pressed his chest again with her trembling hands.
"A-ash, please open your eyes, it's me, Misty." Please... I... I swear please..."
Her voice sounded so broken in angst.
"Mi-Mist..." The Pokémon trainer opened slowly his eyes.
The leader who was now completely drenched with drops dripping from her messy hair, gave the boy a soft smile. She was so relieved, after fearing the worst.
"No, this should not have happened."
But she had arrived on time. Yes, he is safe.
She had to talk to Gyarados and scold him for what he did... no. It's not his fault. it's hers for being a foolish.
She didn't want to lose Ash, she didn't want to lose what they have had together for years, that great friendship, that indestructible bond. So at that moment she take a decision.
She would no longer be angry with him, nor would she tell him about her true feelings.
No more resentments, she would support his relationship with Serena as she should have done from the beginning, with a radiant smile and as a good friend. And her feelings, she would keep them to herself, as a reminder of what could not be, and she would try to forget him for his happiness, because this must not happen again. It was too dangerous... too serious.
"Please Misty ... don't cry." She heard him saying softly as he looked at her with so difficulty.
The leader then brought her fingers to her own cheeks. At recognizing her own tears, she brushed them away with the back of her hand. "When had she started crying?"
"Pikachupi! Pikapi!" Pikachu joined them while Misty held a pokéball in her hand, it was Gyarados's.
Hello everyone who still follows me, thank you very much for reading this story.
I'm really sorry. I've been sad lately. I have lost a close family member recently after months of a distress. So now, I am somewhat low in inspiration and I have not continued any of my stories. But I promise you that I will keep on translating this into English anyway.
