I know it's been a while, but I'm not dead or anything, lol. Just been busy helping a friend move. But I am back for a bit to write this chapter and maybe the next!
The two heroines in training were anxious. They had rode in the ambulance with the still comatose Izuku. The doctors rushed him into surgery, and after the authorities asked for their side of the story, they were left in the waiting room. They were both fearful for the boy, but held hope that he'd make it through this like he always did. The front doors open, and a plump woman with forest green hair, tears streaming down her face.
"MY BABY! WHERE'S MY BABY?!" She screams with tears. The heroines recognized the woman. They walked up to her with sad eyes. The woman knew who the girls were, she had seen Ochako from some pictures Izuku had sent her, and Tsuyu from the reports on the USJ incident.
"H-Hey Ms. Midoriya, Izuku is being treated on in the back." Ochako mentioned to her. Inko cried for a few more moments before she wiped them away, taking a deep breath.
"What happened to my baby?" Inko asks the girls. They look at each other for a moment, wondering how to tell the woman.
"We were all on a date, some twerp who has a grudge against Izuku was following us, ribbit. She can somehow control people, and she forced Brimstone to attack us, Izuku took the blow, hard, ribbit." Tsuyu says bluntly, not one for mincing her words like Ochako would have.
Inko looked mad, then sad, then she sighs. This was just like her son, always putting others before himself. Then, it dawns on her what the frog girl had said. "Wait, date? Who was on a date?"
"Me, Tsu, and Dek-Izuku, ma'am." Ochako speaks up. Inko's eyes widen. Her baby wasn't a baby anymore.
"Well, that certainly is news to me. I had a feeling he had a crush on you, Ururaka. Asui is pretty cute too, so it's not surprising he'd like you too. Getting both of you though? That's certainly surprising." Almost as surprising as the woman not crying over this, but she had cried the whole way to the hospital, so she was a little drained. The girls blushed at this, Ochako covering her face with her hands, causing herself to float. Tsuyu grabbed her with her tongue.
"We both had crushes on him, ribbit. We both asked him out, I asked him first, then Ochako asked him out the next day. He didn't know what to do, ribbit, he didn't know which of us he liked more, but we came to an agreement, ribbit."
"Y-Yea, we both lo-like Izuku, and we couldn't make him choose between us. He'd be too worried about hurting the other and torturing himself for everything."
"Well, I assume both of you girls would do anything to hurt my boy, would you?" She knew the answer already, but seeing both girls shake their heads filled her with confidence. Before they could say another word, the shriveled form of Toshinori walks in from the back room.
"All Might? When did you get here?" Inko was shocked.
"Toshinori, please, and I came in from the back entrance to check on Young Midoriya. Luckily, they have some of the best healers at this hospital. He's fine, just needs to rest for a night, then he'll be back to normal tomorrow." The three women let out sighs of relief, thankful the boy was okay.
"Can we see him?" Inko and Ochako say at the same time. Ochako squeaks and blushes, Inko giggles at the girl. The skeleton of a man nods, beckoning them to follow.
A woman with dark skin and darker hair walks in with a slightly taller man with black, curly hair. The woman wore a light blue shirt tucked into tan pants, dark brown loafers, and a lab coat. The young man had a black t-shirt with a yellow star on it, a pink jacket, jeans, and pink flip flops.
"Steven, it looks like your checkups are going fine. Still seeing your therapist, I presume?" The woman talks to the man.
"Yes ma'am, Connie won't let me be even a minute late to my sessions." He chuckles.
"Good, I raised her right. I'd be disappointed in her if she didn't crack down on you." She smirks and giggles lightly.
"I have to say, it's almost perfect you were nearby when I needed my checkup, Dr. Maheswaran."
"Well I was helping a friend with some diagnosis here when Connie called and said you were nearby, and that it was time for your checkup."
"That's Connie for you." He chuckles, the woman nods.
"You better treat her right, Steven. I may not have powers, but you do not want to see a mothers wrath." She looks at the small bulge in his pocket. His eyes widen when he sees her looking.
"How did you know?" He mumbles, taking the small velvet box out.
"A mother always knows. Plus, it fell out of your pocket when you were changing into your gown." She laughs at her soon-to-be son-in-law.
