So here's what you missed last time… Beth's still preggo and asked Jake to be the dad. He helped her through this and things got heated on glee club when they were forced to make a decision. Ferris confronts Dixie about her kiss, to which she denies, even though we know it's all true. Jack and Beth break up, but don't actually… it's all very confusing. Things turned around when the girls (minus Dixie) were able to put their differences aside… for now. And that's what you missed on… Encore

BATTLE OF THE SEXS

Sam practically skips down the hallway from his classroom to the choir room. He is holding a lesson plan for glee club and enters the room to find it in chaos. The cheerleaders are going at it with the original girls and the football players with the other boys. Varies voices tried to chime over the other. Sam walks in silently and walks over to the drum set after trying to calm down the group. He bangs on the drums and everyone turns to him, still in a fit of rage.

"SIT!" he yells in his best dad voice. "NOW!" The kids scramble and take their seats, still frustrated with each other. "What is going on?" he asked, more calmly. No one spoke, they all looked down and away from Sam's face. "Girls, I thought you guys fixed things last week." The girls looked away. "Tell me what's going on," he commands.

"We're all here, waiting for you," Francesa started, " minding our own business when Pixie Stick over here came over and started bitching about my girls," she explains and points to the other cheerleaders. "And I can stand Taylor, but I was having a good time watching her attack Queen B because I can't stand little miss peroxide and her HBIC attitude, by no one

can talk to my girls like that. Not even a big nose jewish jabber mouth," Fancesa says and no one knew what to say. Dixie whips her head around and shoves her finger in her face.

"Well at least I didn't join glee club to get closer to my best friend's girl friend, I joined because unlike everyone in this room I have talent," she mentions and turns back to the front.

"And for the last time, Jake and I are not dating. So get off your little high horse made of rainbows and butterflies and realize that you're not alway right," Beth says with a hint of sarcasm.

"And how would you explain the punching and the broken nose that your mans?" Deja snarks. Beth tries to get up, but the two cheerleaders hold her down. Sam turns to where the boy sat.

"And you? What's the problem?"

"We're dudes. We beat each other up for love," Nick explains and Sam nodes in agreement.

"So," he says standing up and walking to the white board, "we were going to learn about good old rock and roll, but," he pauses and writes 'Girls vs Boys', "I decided to bring back the annual girls vs boys contest," he says and faces the audience.

"Nope nope no way am I singing show tunes with Henderson," Jack says and stands up.

"Sit down. This Friday, we will be performing a girls number and a boys number. Everyone must participate. The winner will… well I just thought of this so, I'll figure it out. Get to work. ANd because this is a competition, gentlemen I will ask that you use the history classroom. I will be in my office. Get to it," Sam says energetically. There was a collective grumble as the boys grabbed their stuff and walked to the history classroom. The girls remained in the choir room, not moving until Dixie jumped from her seat and started babbling away. As she faced the whiteboard and was flipping through song books, the rest of the girls turned to each other.

"I seem to remember Mr. Evans saying this was a group project," she snarks.

"He said that everyone has to participate, not come up with ideas as a group," Deja says.

"Sorry, but Dixie, no one really likes your ideas, I'm sorry," June adds.

"Girl you gotta stop apologizing for everything," Beth says to her. "Your ideas matter too." June gives a smile and the girls go back to talking. Dixie slams the song books down and they turn.

"We are doing this as a group and I'm sorry that my idea suck, but you know what you all suck," she snarls. "So tell me your ideas so I can try and fix them." Beth rolls her eyes.

"We haven't come up with any ideas yet. But I was thinking that you all could come over to my house and we can work on whatever we're deciding."

"Yeah. Beth's dad is like way hot," Taylor adds in a monotone voice. She glares at the blonde.

"But why would you want us in your house?' June asks shyly.

"Because even though you're a bunch of losers for being in glee, you're the best kind of loser. Some of you I can actually be around and not want to throw up and scratch my eyes out," she says and Dixie rolls her eyes. "Yes Francesa I'm talking about you," she smiles and the group, minus Dixie, laughs.

Meanwhile, the boys all sat in different parts of the room. Jack and Nick tossed a football back and forth, Pete stared down at his homework, Ferris glared daggers into Jack, Jake sat on his phone, and Chad burned a hole in the wall with his glare. He then looked at the clock and they have wasted fifteen minutes just sitting here, to scared to speak up. He sighed and stood up.

"Look, I hate this as much as you, but if want an actual chance at not looking like total duche heads, we need to start thinking of ideas."

"I agree that this is totally stupid," Nick adds. Chad rolls his eyes.

"Let's just think of an idea and get it over with."

"Why because all you want to sing is gay-did-e-gay-gay-gay. No way. And no "Show Tunes" either we need actual good ideas," Jake mentions.

"And what makes you think that the girls aren't gonna do show tunes. Dixie is in there yeah know," Ferris adds coldly, not over that the fact that his girlfriend did lie to him and turn it around on him.

"Because sparkles, if she even says the name of a musical Francesca will have her hanging from the chord of the microphone that she'll be using to knock Dixie out," Jake explains. "We need something that's not girly and not gay. We need something that screams "We're badass rockstars" in neon lights."

"Since when did you actually give a damn about glee club?" Jack snaps from the back corner. Jake knew he was still pissed on what happened last week, but he didn't want to say the real reason. He had strutted over to her locker.

"Hey hot stuff," he had said and Beth slammed her locker and started to walk to class. "Blondie come on," he had pleaded.

"Look, I'm glad that you want to stay in glee club, but I'm not interested."

"What can I do to make you?"

"Try not to rip Chad's sparkle kit from his hand and slushie him."

"That's not gonna be easy."

Beth stops and puts her hand on his chest. "Look, it just seems too real. You and me, what happened with… I just need space okay. Maybe you can take this time and not beat the hell outta my friends," she sighs.

"When did they become your friends?" he snaps.

"When they were there for me when you were a coward and ran," she replied and pivots around.

"Since I actually enjoyed this. It may seem hard to believe, but I can sing pretty good. The whole country line dance thing was kinda fun. So screw it if it's not mainly or crap, let's get to work," he said to Jack, and puts his arm around Chad. "Alright big guy, take it away."

Chad looks at him with wide eyes as well as the rest of the boys. "Who are you and what have you done with Jake Thompson?" He slips from Jake's arm and turns to the white board. Jake takes his seat with Nick and Jack glares into the back of his head.

Sam Evans' assignment was going smoothly for the second day. Everyone journeys to the choir room for a quick lesson on girl groups and boy bands. Jake pulls up a seat next to Beth.

"I've been trying my hardest not to throw Chad in a dumpster," he mentions. Beth gives a sarcastic applause.

"Congratulations I'm so proud of you for normal."

"Hey do you have food?" Beth sighs and reaches for her lunchbox. Jake leans over to pick something.

"Blondie you know we have time to eat food. It's called lunch," he jokes and takes a bag of Cheez Its.

"I just uh… I'm not feeling well," she says, which wasn't a total lie.

"Is everything back to normal?" he asked, taking a handful of Cheez Its.

"As much as it can be. It's over and done with so let's just let it go," Beth snaps. Jake leans back and throws Cheez Its in his mouth. June places her head on Nick's shoulder as Jack and Dixie strutting in, hand in hand.

"I see someone's moved on," Beth mutters.

"You cheated on him," Dixie snaps. Beth opened her mouth and then realized that the only person who knew was Jake. "Exactly, so if you'll excuse me…" she puts the papers on the piano and pulls Jack's closer to her. Their lips touch and in that moment they felt love. Everyone's eyes grow wide. June hides her face in Nick's back and Pete takes his glasses off.

"Wankey," Francesca mutters. Ferris looks at Dixie and then to Jack and then to Chad. He gets up and storms out of the room.

"Somebody's man-struating," Deja remarks.

"It's not like that okay," Chad defends. "It's complicated." Jack and Dixie look down at their feet.

"Ohhh… spill," Francesca instigates and puts her chin in her hands. Chad takes a deep breath.

"At homecoming, Dixie and Jack kissed," he explains in one breath. Deja face turns to a "Gurrrrrl" face. Beth's eyebrows came closer together.

"And you call me a cheater," she accuses.

"I'm sorry were you not the one that slept with Thompson and got pregn…" his voice was muffled by Dixie's hand. She didn't want this to get ugly.

"Let's just sit and wait for Mr. Evans," June suggests, but her words are drowned out by bickering of the glee club.

Sam Evans came in to find the same scene he did on Monday. "Hey hey hey," he calls and 11 heads turn. "What happened between now and Monday?" No one speaks. "And where is Ferris?"

"He took a day off I guess," Beth mentions.

"Chad please…" the tall boy nodded and ran from the room to go find Ferris. He didn't have to go very far before he found Ferris sitting in the music room.

"Hey," he says and walks in. Ferris turns around, his eyes wet from tears. "And this is why girls suck," he jokes and Ferris gives a whimper of a laugh and wipes his eyes. "You want to talk about it?" He asks in a soft daminer. Ferris shakes his head. "Well, I found that when I get like this, I find it helpful to sing." He goes over to the shelves of musical instruments and takes a keyboard off the wall. Chad turns the keyboard around to Ferris, who starts to play.

"I want to break free…" he begins, his voice choked. Kurt put his hands in his lap and sang along with Ferris after the first chorus. After the song, Ferris put the keyboard on the desk next to him.

"Congratulations, you just sang your first gay anthe~" Chad's voice was sucked in by the lips of Ferris. Chad's body relaxed and he put his hands on Ferris' shoulders.

"We should go find the boys," he says when they heard footsteps outside the music classroom. "We should talk after." Ferris nodded and wiped the tears from his eyes. They opened the door to find Dixie coming down the hall.

"You're in the choir room," she informs them and walks down the hall with a smirk on her face.

Dixie throws down sheet music at the girls. "We can do this." Francesca picks up the paper.

"Defying Gravity?" She questions. "No."

"Yeah I agree," June adds.

"Didn't you do this for your audition?" Deja asks and Dixie nods.

"And this is why we don't need Schwimmer to be our captain. We need someone with good ideas," Beth points to herself. "This isn't gonna make us win."

"I like to think that Defying Gravity is a monumental piece that showcases the falsetto of the female voice," Dixie adds.

"And that's what the boys accept us to do. We need to "showcase" who we are," she encouraged. "And we need to get going, the boys already have their number." Dixie's face scouls. "We are…"

"Strong," June calls.

"Sassy," Deja adds.

"Bitches," Francesca says.

"And bitches get things done. I'm tired of boys mansplaining. We aren't some broadway babies that sit in the corner. We are the boss!" The girls nod with smiles and determined looks.

The boys were in the choir room with Nick teaching them the choreography to their number. Jake leans back and looks at Chad and Ferris giggling.

"Looks like we have our new gay power couple," he jokes to Jack, who is uninterested.

"What is it with you and making gay jokes. It's not cool."

"Woah woah. Come on man, we used to joke about this all the time. I miss throwing kids in dumpsters and giving slushie facials," he mentions.

"You sound like my girlfriend," he groans.

"So Dixie's your girlfriend now? Move on much."

"She cheated on me. With you if you forgot." Jake sighs at the gravity of the conversation.

"Look it's complicated," he admits.

"It's really not. She went over to your house or wherever you did it, slept with you, got pregnant, and here we are."

Jake stops moving. "Look, it's not my place. If you really want to know, just ask Beth." As they were finished, Pete rolled over to them.

"Confessing your love for each other," he jokes.

"Shut it crip," he calls as Pete rolls over to Chad.

Wednesday came and Jack decided to act on Jake's offer. He walked over to the lunch table where Beth sat looking down at her food.

"This seat taken?" His gentle voice startled Beth.

"I mean everyone else has lunch next period," she says coldly and Jack takes the seat. "Aren't you still mad? For me cheating on you." Jack took a bite from his apple.

"Jake told me to ask you. He said it was complicated." Beth groans and rolls her eyes.

"What's complicated about cheating. It's plain n' simple,"

"Look Beth, we dated for 5 months. I know when you're lying. You do this cute thing with your lip," he points out. Beth doesn't say anything and avoids eye contact. "I'm reaching out to a girl that cheated on me because I know that's not true…"

"Stop telling me it's not true!" she yells then goes back to a whisper. "Just accept the fact that I cheated on you with Jake. Yell, scream whatever. But don't tell me I lied because you don't want to hear it."

"Just tell me what happened."

Beth sighs. "I found out I was pregnant. It happened over the summer. Right after we started dating. It's a new week, so let's forget about what happened last week."

"No. I know you're lying," he says.

"I went to him because I couldn't go to you. He took me. So if that's what you want to know then there, you know," she explains and gets up to leave.

"Beth, wait.." he calls after Beth gets up from the table. "Are you gonna eat that?" he points to uneaten lunch in her hands. She smiles and throws the uneaten sandwich at him.

After glee club that day, Ferris sat on the bench outside. Chad comes out and the wind bites his bare neck.

"You ready to talk?" He asked and Ferris looked up from his phone. He nodded slowly and Chad takes a seat and crosses his leg.

"Wait," he says as the door to the school opens.

"Do you guys need rides?" Sam asked, clutching his satchel.

"My mom should be here soon," Ferris explains.

"No thank you Mr. Evans," Chad says and Sam smiles and walks to his car.

"About the kiss yesterday…" Chad starts.

"No let me explain. After… even before Dixie, I kind of always knew, something was different about me. She was a muse. I used her to pretend I wasn't…"

"Gay."

"I don't want to say it," he starts to cry. "My parents would burn me at the stake if they found out."

"Have you told them yet?" Ferris shakes his head and fiddles with his cross necklace.

"I haven't even told myself yet," he croaks. Chad rubs his hands. "I just don't… I don't know."

"It's okay not to know," Chad reassured him.

"What was it like for you?"

"I…" Chad takes a deep breath. He hasn't told the story since he met Deja two years ago. "I always knew. I liked playing with Baribies and dress-up with my sisters. Listening and dancing to broadway music. Playing with my mom's makeup things like that. I was nine and my sisters, Lisa and Michelle, were watching the Notebook, and they're talking about how hot and sexy Ryan Gosling was. Then they asked me what I thought of Rachel McAddams and I said she was okay but I was more interested in Ryan Gosling. I said he was sexy. They thought I was joking but the next day I had posters of him in my bedroom," Chad explained. "What about you?"

"It's been less than a year, I don't know, I just found girls less attractive. There was this really cute boy at my school and all I wanted to do was kiss him like all the girls do. I was jealous of the way he looked at girls," Ferris laughs. "Does that mean I'm gay?"

Chad waited before he responded. "It can mean whatever you want it to mean." Ferris sighs and touches his cross necklace.

"What did your parents say?"

"They were supportive. My dad said that he knew. I think everyone knew," he chuckles. Ferris giggles. "You're really cute when you giggle like that," Chad says and blushes.

"Can I kiss you?" Chad blushes again. He leans over and kisses Ferris.

"I liked that," he mentions.

"Me too," Chad replies. "Uh… my sister's here. I'll see you later," he mentions and gets up from the bench.

That night, Dixie didn't know what had come over her. Maybe she wasn't over her break up with Ferris. But the fact that he had the audacity to kiss Chad. She sat in her bright pink office chair and adjusted her head band and patted her facial mask. She typed furiously on her laptop.

"New student Ferris Andrews" she thinks and types, "Recent ex of, star of the school musical, Dixie Mellon and new lover of gay fashionista, Chad Henderson. It was an emotional rollercoaster, sources say, that Mr. Andrews confessed his love to Mr. Henderson by placing his lips on his after an emotional, and frankly pitchy, rendition of Queen's cult classic, "I want to break free" on an old and out of tune keyboard for Piano 1. It has come to no surprise to friends of Mr. Andrews that he was interested in men. Telling by the way he dresses and whom he chooses to associate himself, mainly the gay likings of the members of McKinley's finest glee club, New Direstions. With members including the not so scandalous…"

In the choir room, June read the last remaining part of the post. "Beth Puckerman and her love triangle members, Jack Austin and Jake Thompson. As they are known to the general public, Asian Takeout, Nick Choi-Chen and Nick Chen, whom many of us thought were siblings. Now that would make for an interesting story. With sassy Aretha-Whitney love child, Deja Smith and crip, Pete Abbot. And let's not forget the wonder twins, Francesca Lopez and Taylor S. Wift. And lastly, our star in whom there would be no glee club and full of scandals no less, Dixie Mellon. It has come to no surprise that glee club has not been popular since winning the National championship in 2015. But nonetheless, glee club keeps producing more gay lovers for your heart's content.

Sincerely as always, Anonymous"

No one spoke and Ferris could feel his face heating up.

"Is it true you're siblings?" Taylor asks June and Nick. However, no one moved or made a sound. Ferris wished Mr. Evans would walk in so they could get their lesson over with and he could disappear in the world. Sam walked into the choir room unaware of what happened. Throughout the lesson, Ferris' emotional face turned to a scowl and glared at Chad. The group was monotone and it was like Sam was pulling teeth. At the end of the day, Ferris ran from the choir room with Chad running after him.

"Ferris!" he yelled as the boy ran down the hall.

"No! I opened up to you and you turn around and tell that… that stupid anonymous page!" he yells back. Chad grabbed Ferris' flaring arms.

"From the only openly gay student at this school, from the kid that was outed at his middled school at 10 years old, I would never, never tell anyone without you giving me the okay. This is something that you needed to do on your own and that bitch of a person who found out is gonna pay. But what's done is done. And we can get through this. Together," he explains. Ferris let Chad hug him as he cried.

"I… I didn't want… want to be this way. I was… was supposed to come marching in to Diana Ross," he cries and Chad laughs.

"You can still do that."

"But I'm not ready for people to know. You see what people do to you."

"Because I had to go through it alone. You don't have to. I'll be here. And if you don't want me to be, I'll leave. I'll do what you want," Chad says and pulls Ferris back. "We got this. Because life will never be easy for us. We need to stick together. And the glee club will be here for you too."

"But what… What about my parents? They'll find out eventually." he cries.

"Let them find out. And if they kick you to the curb, you'll come right to my house." Ferris smiles and hugs him again.

"Thank you," Ferris says into Chad's jacket.

The next day at school, Chad keeps his promise and wakes with Ferris down the halls. June came up next to him.

"You've got this," she says with her warm smile and Ferris smiles back. Pete rolls in front of Ferris and gives him a fist bump. Deja walks on the other side and squeezes Ferris' arm. They walk together, the original members of glee club. They felt on the top of the world, until players of the football team greeted them with red slushies in the face.

"Nice entergae fag," a beefed football player calls and gives one of his buddies a high five.

"Don't listen to him," Deja says before she can wipe the slushie off her face. Ferris shakes his head and they wipe the slushie from their face.

"Let's just go wipe this off," he croaks, on the verge of tears and they walk to the bathroom.

"Did you post an anonymous thing about Bueller?" Beth asks Dixie as the girls get ready for their number. Dixie stops hair spraying her brunette locks and stares at the cheerleader in the mirror.

"Who?" she questions the unusual nickname.

"Ferris. Did you post those things about him? About us?" she asks, more sternly this time.

"Have you taken your crazy pills today?" she laughs off the accusation. Deja stops straightening her hair and Francesca leaves her dress unzipped.

"It may seem hard to believe, but he's my friend and the stuff they wrote was pretty mean. About all of us. And it painted you in a positive light." Dixie goes back to getting ready.

"It's not like you haven't said mean things. On the first day you called me the ugly version of Mayor of Munchkinland and Jewish Jabber face in the same class period. I'm christian,"Beth sighs.

"Your nose says otherwise. Besides, no one likes you. Ferris had things going for him. We all like him too much to say those things about him. And we all know how pissed you were when he broke up with you before you had the chance to do so and get with my boyfriend," She adds and the group goes back to getting ready and it was Dixie's turn to stop.

"Oh please you're just so depressed you have brought everyone down with you. Besides, you cheated on Jack. You broke him with his best friend and got pregnant. Sounds familiar doesn't it. At least your parents loved you enough to bring you into this world. So stop feeling like you need other people to feel like a mistake. That's all you, slut" she cries and could feel her check stinging and Beth holding her hand on the other side of her face. All the girls stood watching what would happen next. Beth runs her hand through her straightened hair.

"Don't speak. Ever again little dwarf," Beth cries, coldly, clearly hurt by the words, and storms from the bathroom. Dixie wouldn't admit it, but she had this pain in her stomach as everyone got ready in silence.

Sam stood on the stage and looked out at his students.

"Ok thank you and welcome to the…" he paused and counted on his fingers, "15th annual girls vs. boys completion. We have our special judges, Principal Schuster," there was a pause for applause. "Coach Beiste, and Mrs.S. And, I have decided that the winner will get to… drum roll please… slushie the opposing team." There were cheers from the New Directions. "So from our coin toss earlier, the boys will be going first." The boys ran up on the stage and the music started.

"I Want It That Way" There was applause from the audience and Dixie and Beth glared at each other.

"Beat that bitches!" Pete exclaims, still filled with adrenaline.

"Alright guys, that was great!" Sam says with excitement. "And our lovely ladies…" they walked up to the stage with significant less energy and got in position. "Bo$$". The performance could have gone better. The girls were still on edge with each other. Beth had played it off as if nothing ever happened and Dixie was actively avoiding her, even though the choreography made her come right up close to the blonde. Deja and Francesca made silent agreements to try and switch the dance so the two wouldn't pass, but their efforts did not pay off and Beth continued with the original dance. June squished her sled between Dixie and Beth. Taylor, oblivious to the situation, kept dancing, living her best life. After some deliberation from the judges, Sam held the envelope in his hands.

"And now, the winner of the 15th annual girls vs. boys is…" there was a pause and he turned the paper around that was blank. "Come one guys… you didn't really expect us to pick a winner." He was met with groans.

"Come on, we were so much better than the girls," Pete stated. Sam opens his mouth.

"No no he's right," Deja says.

"This was supposed to bring us closer together, but it brought us farther apart," June adds. The boys looked at Ferris and Dixie and Beth glared at each other.

"But we will take that free slushie," Nick adds and was met with laughter.

"I get what it feels like. I was in a glee club too and I've had my fair share of slushie facials. So as a reward, there are twelve red slushies, curdice of Principal Schuster, outside in the bus parking lot. The group walks out to the bus parking lot and see a table with thirteen slushies. With smiles, they each grab one and Sam puts a smock over his teacher's clothes.

"Ok, three, two, one!" he calls and takes the slushies. Everyone throws their slushie at Mr. Evans, but Dixie felt an urge or rage and turned her slushie cup to Beth. It was like time stood still. No one dared move or speak. Dixie held her breath along with everyone else. It was only time before the ticking blonde time bomb would go off. Dixie could feel her heart skipping a beat as the red liquid left her cup. It moved in slow motion. Dixie saw her life flash before her eyes and felt her body clamp up. Her palms became sweaty and wished someone would punch her and it would just be a bad dream. But no one came over and protected her. Her head ran through the scenarios. It could go bad, worse, or ugly. In no way possible could it be good unless Dixie ran. She wanted to, her brain was screaming at her legs to move, but they stayed stuck to the blue tarp on the pavement. Beth processed the situation and wiped the red drink from her face and everyone stood in shock. Everyone standing outside looked with their jaws on the ground as they screamed in their heads for Dixie to run. which she did.
