They got to Jake Thompson's apartment building, and looked at it. "Any chance the elevator will work." Eddy said.

"Not a chance." Tank told him. "Besides it will be good excise for you. Help you get in shape for you Physical" Tank told him.

The two them walked up three flights of stairs, and entered through the fire escape.

The two of the went up to Jake's apartment and noticed the door open. They both took out their guns and identified themselves as police. The slowly walked into the kitchen and saw that it was gone through. They walked into the living room and saw Jake Thompson stabbed at least four times, like Lula was.

Tank walked up to him and saw the he was still breathing. "We need a bus here now." Tank said.

Eddy, got on his phone, and called for a bus. "A few minutes later a bus came and put Jake Thompson on a stretcher. "Where are you taking him." Tank asked the medics.

"Trenton Memorial" One of the medics said. "We will meet you there." Tank said.

The two of them waited there until The Crime sense unit came. Then they walked out to their car and left for Trenton Memorial. When they got there they saw Captain Thompson.

"Sorry Captain, we got there too late. How is he?" Tank said to him.

"Not your fault, he is in tough shape but he will make it." Their Captain replied.

"Listen you to go back to your houses get some sleep for the night, you both need it you look like hell." The Captain told them.

"We were on lower Stark street what do you expect." Eddy said out loud.

The Captain shook his head "yes" Then he went to sit down in the waiting room.

"Tell Stephanie I said hi" Eddy said and then he left the hospital.

Tank called Ranger, "Hey can I get a ride. My truck is at the station. I am at Trenton Memorial" Tank asked Ranger.

"Sure, I am on my way" Ranger told him.

A few minutes later Ranger came to pick Tank up in a Black SUV. "You looked tired." Ranger said.

"I am very tired. I left working for the PD because my wife passed from a car crash. I did not think I would be back working for a police department ever again. I love this job, but it very tough to do with the Captain and the Chief breathing down my neck" Tank told Ranger.

"Just when we start making head way on this case, something seems to happen to one of our witness to set up back fifty steps." Tank told him.

They pulled up to the station, and Tank saw his truck parked. "You need anything you let me know" Ranger told him.

Tank walked to his truck checked it out for bombs or anything that could make his truck go boom. He unlocked it and nothing happened. He got in and started it up and drove back to his house.

Thirty minutes later he was home. He walked in and saw Stephanie in the living room watching tv.

He walked up to her, moved her hair and kissed her neck.

"Hello Pierre" Stephanie said as she turned her head. He jumped over the couch, and kissed her a deep passionate kiss.

"Hard day huh" Stephanie asked him.

"Oh yeah" he said. He got up put his gun in his lock box and went back to the couch.

"You know I won't touch your gun Pierre" Stephanie told him.

"I know little one, but you can't be too careful and you know it. Besides you have your gun with you." Tank said to her.

He helped her up off the couch. "The Vet called and said Pepper is pregnant."

"That is the first good news I have heard all day." Pierre told her out loud. "I will call Ranger in the morning he will be in static." Pierre told her. "Now how about we go to bed." Pierre said to her.

"Would love to" Stephanie said to him.

They walked up stairs to their bedroom. Stephanie looked at Pierre, stood on her tip toes and gave him a very hard kiss.

He wrapped her in his arms. They hit the bed hard. He had her shirt, pants, and underwear off in no time. He stripped and they were at it full force. He sucked on her breasts. His hands were on her thighs. She had her hands down his back until they hit his butt. He was inside her in a few minutes. "Pierre, this is heaven." She said out loud.

They fell asleep in each other arms for the night. Pierre woke up the next day to his phone.

"Yeah" he said.

"It is Eddy, I hate to tell you but Jake Thompson did not make it, and nobody can reach the captain."

"Shit, I am on my way in." Pierre said. He looked at Stephanie. "hey I thought you had today off." Stephanie said out loud.

"I wish, there is an issue at the station, I have to go in." Pierre told her. He gave her a deep kiss and left.
