Alright, time to meet back up with Class 1-A!

Last chapter introduced us to Class 1-B and revealed Yoarashi and Himiko are both U.A. students, with the latter being very different from her canon self as a result of the changes to the timeline. Now, it's time to finish 1-A's quirk test, so the stage can be set for the two classes to finally have their first meeting and cause the many shenanigans, like crazy Monoma, that you can expect from it.

While it won't be in this chapter? For those who recall what I said about the reveal of their evolved quirks happening anywhere from here and the next few chapters, I can now confirm they will be revealed in the starting scene of Chapter 8, so that's something to look forward to once Christmas passes and I'm able to get back to work on this story.

That's all I have to say, so without further ado? Let's get this chapter started!

[Chapter 7 - First Day: Conclusion]

Midoriya felt the world move in slow motion as he swung his arm forward.

'Even so, I'll show everyone what I can do right now!' He mentally shouted.

"SMASH!"

Midoriya threw the ball and created a huge gust of wind that blew against everyone as the ball went flying, making Bakugo's jaw drop and his eyes nearly bug out at what he just saw.

As the ball started falling towards the ground, Aizawa began to smile.

"There you go kid." He quietly praised.

"Tell me, Mr. Aizawa..." Midoriya began.

He turned towards his teacher as the ball finally landed.

"Did I go... Plus Ultra?" He asked, clenching his right fist.

Aizawa turned his phone around.

"705.3 meters!" The virtual voice announced, revealing his score.

"He actually managed to beat Bakugo's score!" Kaminari smiled.

Uraraka let out a loud cheer.

"Nice! He's finally showing everyone his true power!" She exclaimed.

"It was pretty!" Nejire agreed.

"Ah, so his quirk is some form of bodily augmentation or reinforcement. That explains his strength." Iida realized.

While everyone spoke? Bakugo was shaking.

'No way, that's impossible! Our own Kindergarten teachers told us he was quirkless! If he had a quirk, then he should have gotten it when we were kids!' He thought.

He growled as he recalled when Midoriya stood up to him on their Junior High graduation.

'Deku, you're definitely up to something! Cheating your way through U.A. somehow! Well not anymore, because I'm getting to the bottom of this!' Bakugo swore in anger.

After he released a few explosions from his right hand, Bakugo rushed forward towards Midoriya with his hand out, getting both Aizawa and his classmates' attention.

"Problem children..." Aizawa muttered.

"Deku, you bastard! Tell me how you did that or I'm gonna kill you!" He demanded angrily.

Midoriya screamed as he froze up from Bakugo's hand nearing him, and everyone gasped.

*"WHIP!"*

Only for them to see their teacher's scarf fly out like a whip and hold Bakugo in place. He kept trying to move, but said scarf was deceptively powerful!

"The hell? Why is your damn scarf... so strong!?" He questioned.

"Because it's a capture weapon made of a carbon fiber and a special metal alloy. Someone like you isn't strong enough to break free of it." Aizawa answered.

"Like hell I'm not!" Bakugo shouted.

He swung one of his palms towards the scarf, ready to blast it to smithereens as his teacher's hair rose and his eyes glowed red. The moment Bakugo expected an explosion to go off... nothing happened!

"What the hell!?" He questioned.

Bakugo threw out his hand again, trying to set off another explosion, but like before? Nothing was happening! Eventually, his teacher got tired of watching.

"Don't even bother, I erased your quirk." Aizawa revealed.

"You did what!?" Bakugo shouted in surprise and disbelief.

Midoriya gasped.

"Erase?" He said.

It was then that Midoriya noticed something that had been hiding under the area where Aizawa's scarf had been only moments prior.

"Those yellow goggles! You're a hero that stays out of the spotlight due to his quirk, the Erasure Hero: Eraserhead!" Midoriya revealed.

"Eraserhead? I've never heard of him before." Uraraka admitted.

"Makes sense that you haven't. Eraserhead is what we call an Underground Hero, a type of Hero that avoids becoming well known to make it harder for villains to learn about their quirk and create countermeasures." Yaoyorozu explained.

Midoriya nodded his head to confirm her words, then looked towards Aizawa's glowing eyes.

"Eraserhead's quirk, Erasure, is definitely such a quirk. Anyone who he looks at for even a moment while his eyes are glowing red will have their quirks erased until he blinks. If he really wanted to? His quirk could turn off all ours with just a quick glance." He added.

Bakugo sweated as he heard that.

"He's right, now stand down! It would be wise to avoid making me use my quirk so much!" Aizawa warned.

Those words made Bakugo sweat.

"It gives me serious dry eye!" He stated, showing his eyes were starting to get bloodshot.

'Oh! So that's why he looks so tired!' Most of the class thought.

Bakugo stopped struggling, and glanced at Midoriya as he ran back to the rest of their class.

"Hey Midoriya, are you OK?" Uraraka asked.

"Yeah, I'm fine." Midoriya said while shaking.

Looking at his messy green hair, Bakugo felt his fist shaking as his anger grew even larger.

'I may not know what's going on... though once I do? Then you'll remember...' He thought.

He growled slightly.

'That you're just a weak bug compared to me!' He promised, blowing steam out of his nose.

"Alright, before we continue by seat order? I'd like Uraraka to go, so she can help me demonstrate something." Aizawa continued while pouring eyedrops in his eyes.

"Oh, uh... OK?" She replied.

She walked up to the circle as Aizawa finished pouring his eyedrops, letting him reform the ball and hand it to her.

"What do you need my help with showing exactly?" Uraraka asked.

"Just throw the ball and it'll make sense soon enough." He answered.

Uraraka didn't get it, but decided just to go with it and activated her quirk on the ball, before throwing it straight up. After she did, everyone saw her push her hand forward as the same glow that marked her quirk's activation quickly redirected the ball towards that same direction.

'I knew her quirk affected gravity, but I didn't know she could do that. Maybe she was trying to be careful in the exam so she didn't hurt the other competitors?' Midoriya thought, without mumbling since it was a brief thought.

At the rate that ball was moving, it seemed like it would continue to move until it potentially left the atmosphere.

However, after 10 seconds of being under the effects of Uraraka's quirk? The ball immediately burst apart and became a marker on the area of the ground it had been hovering above prior.

"Eh!?" She blinked.

"Since the point of these tests is to help show your limits, these balls are set so they'll vanish if under the effects of a quirk with a continuous use to it after 10 seconds have passed. Uraraka's quirk is a prime example of this." Aizawa stated, holding his phone up.

"571.7 meters!" The virtual voice exclaimed.

"Well, at least it's technically fair." Mirio stated.

Test 2: 50-meter Dash

Like its counterpart on the right field was currently doing, a camera-based robot set itself at the end of a two-man running lane, and readied its lens-based eye.

Aizawa used an app on his phone to have a generator set up all ten pairs.

"Asui, Iida, the two of you will be the first runners for this test." He stated.

"Runners, get ready!" The robot exclaimed.

Iida and Asui took their position at the end, both crouching in their respective ways as they waited, with Iida's engines warming up.

"Get set..." The robot stated.

"Recipro..." Iida began saying, getting ready in a manner not unlike Manga had.

"GO!"

"Burst!"

Iida rocketed forward while Asui did a jump similar to the one she made during the exam, with Iida crossing the finish line almost a second later.

"1.04 seconds!" The robot announced.

Asui landed not long after, and looked at everyone.

"3.58 seconds!"

Aizawa wrote the scores down before looking at the next duo.

"Bakugo, Nejire, you're up." He stated.

The two walked over to the starting line, with Nejire took a moment to look behind her, confusing most of her classmates.

"Got it!" She smiled.

She backed up a bit, confusing them even further.

"Whatever, I'll beat her regardless." He declared.

"Get set..."

Nejire immediately running towards her lane.

"GO!"

Right as that same moment, Bakugo swung his arms behind him.

"Burst Speed!" He shouted.

He used his explosions to propel himself forward, right as Nejire lowered her arms and jumped. Two swirls of yellow energy spiraled around her hands at a fast speed, and they shot her through the air faster than Bakugo's explosions did, to his shock.

Nejire stopped her quirk as she neared the ground, and then did a somersault to pass the camera bot at the goal line, just before Bakugo did.

"3.87 seconds!"
"4.03 seconds!"

Bakugo just stared at her as his eye twitched, and Nejire looked at him with a friendly smile, to his further ire.

"No need to feel too bad. Your score might have been faster than mine if you had jumped too." She encouraged.

"Shut up, crazy curls!" He screamed.

As he walked away, one could see Aizawa with an annoyed face as he wrote something about Bakugo, while Nejire just tilted her head from what he just called her.

"Crazy curls?" She repeated in confusion.

Finishing his note on Bakugo's recent remark, Aizawa looked at Midoriya and Uraraka for the next group.

"Midoriya, Uraraka, you're up next." He stated.

Both of them took their position at the starting line, with Midoriya noticing Uraraka use her quirk on certain parts of her gym uniform.

"If I lighten these up first, then I should get more air." She said to herself.

"Get set..."

Midoriya's legs began to glow while Uraraka took a few steps back and then began to run forward.

"GO!"

Midoriya rushed ahead in a manner similar to Iida, but at a speed closer to Bakugo's.

"3.99 seconds!"

Uraraka simply repeated what she did during the exam's third obstacle, only without any nausea this time.

"5.62 seconds!"

"Release!" She shouted as she landed.

Bakugo growled at Midoriya's score.

Test 3: Grip Strength

While the rest of his class had begun using the Grip Machines, one could see Kaminari thinking of what to do with his, then he thought of an idea as he turned to his teacher to make sure it was allowed.

"Mr. Aizawa, do I have to specifically use my quirk to grip the machine, or just get a good score from it?" Kaminari asked.

"As long as you can find a way to use your quirk here, then I don't care how you do it. Just get it done." Aizawa answered.

Kaminari smirked and used his lightning on the machine.

This quickly caught Aizawa's attention as he saw his results.

"I believe this counts?" He assumed.

His machine hadn't been squeezed, but its fried form was shown registering 999 kilograms, which impressed his teacher slightly.

"600 kilograms!"

Such a result caught the attention of many as they saw Shoji using his three left arms to grip his machine, alongside four others he grew to hold the top and bottom areas for stability.

"Did your machine actually just say you hit 600 kilograms!?" Sero shouted in shock.

"My arms are like an Octopus', so each is pretty strong on its own." Shoji explained.

Sero's jaw dropped at that.

Test 4: Standing Long Jump

Everyone watched as Tokage stood by the sandbox, and then immediately did a headstand before she simply sent her feet flying off her body, making them float over to the other side with little difficulty.

"That enough for you teach?" She asked, turning to look at him.

"No, not until the rest of you is over there as-" Aizawa replied.

"Done!" Tokage shouted.

He paused as he saw the rest of her was already on the other side of the sandbox, right as her body reattached to her feet.

'Might need to keep my eye on this girl, or she might sneak up on me...' He thought nervously as he wrote a note down.

Shaking that thought away, he looked at Mirio.

"Alright Mirio, you're up next." He quickly stated.

"Got it, teach!" Mirio replied, flashing a smile and giving a thumb's up in response.

Everyone watched him sink into the ground and then reappear on the other side.

"Well, I guess since you didn't technically touch the sand and a dive is just a downwards jump? That counts." Aizawa shrugged, not wanting to think about the logic.

Tokage gave a silent snicker at his reply.

Test 5: Repeated Side Steps

Yanagi stood inside one of the Side Step areas as the camera robot readied its lens eye.

"Ready..."

She activated her quirk, though in a way that neither her teacher nor classmates could actually see.

"GO!"

She began to levitate as her body moved left and right and incredible speeds, surprising her class for a moment... right before they and their teacher felt their eyes start to bounce from watching.

Pony eventually fell over.

("How is anyone able to watch that without getting dizzy!?") Pony questioned dizzily.

("Who said anyone can!?") Honenuki replied.

As everyone gave up watching a moment later, the robot finally let out a beep to know she could stop, with Yanagi doing so without any signs of disorientation.

"200 Steps!" The robot announced.

"No applause needed." Yanagi stated.

She then noticed everyone was still dizzy, with Aizawa barely shaking it off to right down her score.

Yanagi just shrugged in response.

Test 6: Sit Ups

Aizawa saw more students able to do this test than he had expected, with his focus currently on Shiozaki and Tokoyami's progress among the current group of three.

"Are you still doing alright, Dark Shadow?" Tokoyami inquired.

"No problems here, keep going!" His bird-shaped quirk replied.

Dark Shadow was using the fact that its shadowy body could stretch out to push Tokoyami whenever he sat up, reducing the strain and energy it took to do so. Shiozaki did the same with her vines, as they could stretch in a similar manner.

'This year, me and Kan might need to be more worried about how our students manage their quirks' strength, rather than making their quirks more flexible.' Aizawa realized.

He quickly wrote that note down.

Test 7: Seated Toe-Touch

As everyone tried to reach for the tips of their feet the best they could, the MVPs of this test were quickly revealed.

With his eyes closed in case anyone was watching? Amajiki's arms turned into Octopus tentacles and easily touched their tips, all while his body was shaking.

"Please don't make me the center of attention..." He repeatedly whispered.

"Dude, you really need to chill out." Jiro replied, stretching her jacks out.

She easily touched her feet using them instead of her hands, with Aizawa quickly filling out the scores of everyone who successfully touched their feet before anything else.

Test 8: Distance Run

Midoriya ran at a fast speed as he saw everyone run around the field for as long as they could. Some of the noteworthy quirks were Yaoyorozu's, Todoroki's, and Pony's from the few he could currently get a look at.

Yaoyorozu had made an electric scooter with her quirk, so it was pretty much a guarantee that she would outlast everyone on this test. Todoroki was riding his ice at a fast speed, keeping him cooled off while also acting as his time limit due to the frost forming on his side.

Pony was simply running like an actual horse would, and not even using her quirk's main application.

'Wow... everyone's quirks are amazing!' Midoriya thought.

By the time the final test had come to an end, everyone but Yaoyorozu was strewn across the field, due to Aizawa deciding to call it off once she was the last one standing. Midoriya was currently lying on his back as he panted.

"Everyone, go grab some water, then meet me where we began the Ball Throw." He stated.

Midoriya quickly got on his feet with everyone else, and soon gathered at that very area.

"Time to share your results. I'll just pull up the whole list instead of going through it individually, so if you aren't last, then you can be more certain of the standings I'm sure most of you already have an idea about." Aizawa stated.

He pulled up the list, and everyone looked for their names, most starting with last place.

'Please don't be last!' Midoriya begged.

While he was sure he did well? All of his classmates had amazing quirks, so he had be sure. For all he knew, how Aizawa graded them didn't follow his expectations.

1. Momo Yaoyorozu

2. Shoto Todoroki

3. Ibara Shiozaki

4. Setsuna Tokage

5. Tamaki Amajiki

6. Pony Tsunotori

7. Izuku Midoriya

8. Reiko Yanagi

9. Katsuki Bakugo

10. Fumikage Tokoyami

11. Mezo Shoji

12. Tenya Iida

13. Hanta Sero

14. Tsuyu Asui

15. Ochaco Uraraka

16. Nejire Hado

17. Mirio Togata

18. Juzo Honenuki

19. Denki Kaminari

20. Kyoka Jiro

Seeing he got 7th place, Midoriya let out a deep breath, then he smiled.

Jiro, on the other hand, was horrified to see she had ranked in last place.

"No..." She whispered out.

Kaminari looked at her in guilt, especially since he only scored a place above her, and just as Jiro closed her eyes to prepare for Aizawa saying she was now expelled?

"And I was lying. No one's expelled." He stated.

Her eyes opened up as everyone stared at him.

"That was just a rational deception to make sure everyone gave their all." Aizawa continued.

Their stares became a little more exaggerated, but no one had truly reacted to him just yet.

'Wow, I usually get their reactions after that one.' He thought.

He then let out a slight laugh before he gave another of his rare smiles to his class, who were all still frozen from the shock.

"Let me ask you all this. How I could have expelled any of you when I'm not the principal?" He said, emphasizing the obvious.

And said class finally reacted with loud screams of shock.

"I'm surprised the rest of you didn't figure that out. I'm sorry, guess I probably should have said something?" Yaoyorozu apologized.

'Yeah... you should have.' Some of her classmates thought.

Jiro lowered her head as her eyes were shadowed by the revelation, something that Kaminari immediately noticed.

"Are you OK?" He asked, trying to put a hand on her shoulder.

"Not now... I... need some space." She said, almost shaking.

Jiro walked to the nearest wall and leaned against it, her jacks lightly tapping against it, which caught his attention.

"I know she got last place, but that shouldn't be enough to get her in this bad of a mood." Kaminari thought aloud.

Tokage tapped his shoulder.

"That... might be, kind of... sort of, my fault." She apologized.

Kaminari looked at her in confusion, but before he could ask?

"How despicable!"

Everyone jumped as they heard Iida screaming while swinging his arms so fast it almost resembled a high-powered buzz saw. It was so fast, a few of classmates actually felt the need to move away from it.

"While I can respect that U.A. is one of the best Hero Schools in Japan, to lie like that as part of a class is downright immoral! Why scare us in that way when a threat like the person in last getting extra homework or a reduced grade would have been as equally effective!?" He questioned.

Aizawa closed his eyes and turned around.

"Tell me, how close would you compare being expelled from U.A. High to dying?" He questioned in a serious tone.

His arm chopping ceased at that moment, while everyone looked his way, with even the upset Jiro deciding to look.

'Expulsion... compared to death?' Midoriya questioned.

"Let me tell all of you the story of a U.A. student from long ago." Aizawa continued.

Such words caused everyone to go silent, and Jiro to briefly forget she was upset.

"He wasn't the most social kid and often felt annoyed by a lot of things, but he still wanted to be a hero despite having lived part of his life during the Era of Chaos, and chose to attend U.A. when it came to an end. During his time there? He met a pair of students he eventually considered his best friends, who shared a dream to one day create their own agency together, and none of them had a worry because of how All Might helped give them a safer world of heroes to grow in. Those three... were so naïve." He started.

The pause made everyone nervous.

"After a certain point in their training? The trio of students got to do actual hero work under a Hero known as His Purple Highness with one of their upperclassmen, and things had been going well... but then a powerful villain attacked. Despite they were able to win and rescue people, there was a single casualty, and that one student soon found out in the worst way possible that one casualty hadn't been one of the civilians they had been protecting."

He briefly paused, taking small breath.

"It had been one of his two friends... who had been killed by debris in his attempts to save some of those very civilians." Aizawa revealed, just barely holding himself together.

Midoriya gasped, while the rest of Class 1-A gave similar reactions.

"That student had taken things for granted, and that loss changed him for so long? He failed to know how many people he worried, and by the time he finally did, the damage was already done. There were choices he couldn't take back no matter what he did, and the name of that student?"

He turned around, after wiping away the few tears that got through.

"His name was Shota Aizawa, who eventually became the Pro Hero standing before you right now." He revealed.

No one said anything. The moment he mentioned his friend's death, they had already realized it had been his story.

Scratch that... it had been his warning.

"Looks like you already figured it out the story was about me. Like I said before, the world of heroes is full of unfairness, but... more than anything? The walls of U.A. are not an invincible shield for your lives. To be a hero means your life can be snuffed out without warning. Fear is not a weakness for a hero. Just because you can't show it, doesn't mean it's wrong to feel it, because that same fear may ultimately save more than just your life when it truly matters." He finished.

Despite the story was ultimately a sad one, enough that All Might was still tearing up from hiding spot, it seemed to have lit a fire in all of his students. A scare that reminded them what it would take to avoid suffering a similar fate.

Realizing this, he briefly smiled before he turned around.

"And that's it. We're done for the day, but let me remind you that while the threat was fake? I can still get Nezu to expel any of you should you mess up in the right way. I've had to expel an entire class in the past due to a... tantrum they had." Aizawa stated.

'What did they do!?' His students thought.

"As for anyone curious about when you'll finally meet the students of Class 1-B? A different hero is going to teach both your classes together, so it won't be much longer. Oh, and make sure you go back to class before you leave. There's a syllabus we've left on all of your desks. Make sure you read it, because it will tell you about everything you'll need once the trial period of this first week is done." He continued.

"Trial period? What does... that mean?" Pony repeated in confusion.

"Can't say anything right now, but it'll make sense eventually. Let's just say that U.A. and the other Four Great Hero Schools are... unique in their teaching methods." Aizawa vaguely answered.

He then walked off, leaving some of his students confused, while for the other half...

"That seemed kind of nerve-wracking, right?" Sero asked.

"A little, but after hearing that story? It's clear why he's our teacher." Miro answered.

When he was finally out of range, Aizawa looked towards a nearby corner and sighed.

"I know you're here, stop hiding." He stated.

Embarrassed chuckling was heard as All Might popped out from behind said corner.

"How long?" He asked.

"Since the beginning. You aren't exactly known for your stealth, not to mention it was obvious that you'd be watching your successor when you have no hero work today." Aizawa answered.

All Might flinched from those words, which were truer than he'd like to admit.

"Yep, that tells me everything." He added.

"I must say that, while the way you pulled it up was quite unconventional, I do agree that it's better they start to become aware of how dangerous being a hero is now instead of later. Most people often don't realize that while people have said I save everyone in danger upon my arrival... that also means there are people I failed to save before then as well, not unlike your old friend." All Might replied.

"Glad you understand that. While it's definitely cruel to make someone keep dreaming of what will never come true, it's even worse for one to follow a dream without knowing the risks it may bring." Aizawa stated, walking off again.

Not long after he did, Kan walked into view and noticed Aizawa, who noticed him as well.

"Did you just finish with Class 1-A?" He asked.

"Yeah, and as for what Nezu told us? I'd say we'll let the first Heroic Studies Class act as my answer to him. For now, let's just go over everyone's quirks from what we saw compared to their records." Aizawa answered.

"Good idea." Kan replied, in full agreement.

It was around this point an electric shock and scream could soon be heard.

Before said shock and scream, the girls were in the changing room again.

"Jiro, you OK?" Yaoyorozu asked.

"Not now... please..." She replied.

Right as everyone was about to say something, a knock was heard from the door.

"Coming in." Tokage announced.

She opened the door, and once everyone looked... they all felt their cheeks puff as they tried not to laugh at what they saw.

No one could blame them, as Tokage looked a little crispy with her hair standing up like it was a fire, due to static electricity.

"Just laugh already. I know how stupid I look." She smiled.

Jiro was the first to start laughing, spitting a little due to how she had been holding her cheeks beforehand.

"Tokage, what... happened!?" Jiro asked between her laughs.

"You mean all this? I let Kaminari shock me as an apology to you." Tokage admitted, rubbing her neck a little.

She stopped laughing in response.

"Apology?" She repeated in surprise.

"Kaminari noticed you seemed way too down for last place, and... I sort of realized that I may have helped in that because of what happened in here before the quirk test." Tokage explained.

Jiro soon recalled what she was talking about and held her hands out.

"H-Hey, don't blame yourself. It isn't your fault I'm a little-" She replied.

"Relax, will ya!" Tokage interjected.

She lightly hit Jiro on the back, nearly making her fall over.

"So what if you're a little small there right now? You're still only 15, which means you'll plump up before you know it." Tokage said, flashing a toothy grin at the end.

"Really? You think so?" Jiro asked.

"Yeah, but I don't think Kaminari really minds what you're packing right now either." She teased.

Jiro blushed at that.

"W-What? No! I don't like him like that! What are you talking about!?" She exclaimed, looking away.

"Ooh, are we seeing a tsun-" Tokage kept teasing.

She immediately felt her eyes widen as her head popped off to avoid getting stabbed by one of Jiro's jacks. The angry stare and growl she gave Tokage being quite telling.

"Eh... too much?" She asked.

"Yes. Too much." Jiro confirmed via gritted teeth.

"Sorry about all that." Tokage quickly apologized.

Her head popped back on.

"I better hope everything I say is only bothering you today, or our next three years here are gonna be awkward." Tokage apologized, finishing with a worried chuckle.

"Speaking of things you'll be saying today, I couldn't find a chance to ask this before now, but how exactly are you and Honenuki even in our class?" Yaoyorozu asked.

This got everyone's attention.

"Why is it odd the two of them are in our class?" Nejire asked, tilting her head.

"Because both of them were part of the recommended applicants." She answered.

All of the girls looked at her.

"Oh, that's right. We got so excited that we forgot no one else would know about that in the month between the exam and today." She recalled, looking a little embarrassed.

"Know about what?" Yaoyorozu asked.

"Well, as you just said? Me and Honenuki were part of the recommended applicants, but we failed because despite I had a score of 67 and Honenuki's was 68, you and the other three who got the four recommended spots all got scores in the 70's." Tokage explained.

"In other words, how you're here has nothing to do with having been recommended?" Jiro guessed.

"Well, not exactly." She replied.

All of the girls gave confused blinks.

"Once I was told by the staff that I didn't get one of the recommended spots? They told me that if I was willing to sacrifice some of my points, then I had a chance to get in as if I had been taking the exam as a normal applicant." She revealed.

"They actually had something like that?" Yaoyorozu said in surprise.

"They did, but among those who didn't get eliminated from either Todoroki's ice at the start or the other obstacles? I'm pretty sure most of them didn't try this. See, the main downside to taking this gamble is you had to forfeit the other benefit of being a recommended student, which is to be automatically accepted to a lesser hero school." Tokage answered.

Her female classmates all gasped after hearing that.

"And you still took that risk!?" Uraraka exclaimed.

"Wow... Tokage, you've got some guts." Jiro praised.

She blushed at that.

"Do... know if anyone... not you and Honenuki tried... do it too?" Pony asked.

Tokage scratched her head as she tried to remember any signs to others trying.

"No, so it's possible that it was just us." She shrugged.

It was around this time most of the girls had finished changing back into their uniforms, right as Yanagi turned to Tokage.

"Considering the risk heavily outweighed the reward? It makes sense most chose to attend a different school." She replied.

"Yeah, my thoughts exactly." Tokage agreed.

Uraraka soon finished changing and grabbed her backpack, then walked to the door before pausing.

"I gotta hurry over to the station now, see you all tomorrow!" She smiled, waving goodbye to them.

She then left and began running to the entrance.

Midoriya was seen walking to the entrance gate as he held the syllabus he picked up from his desks, reading over the various things he'd need once the first week of U.A. was over. The biggest surprise came from a notice at the top of the syllabus.

"Dear student of U.A. High, as a result of All Might joining our faculty this year, it has been decided that a dorm system will be made as a way to protect you and your families from danger. We apologize for any inconveniences this may cause some of you, but we want to guarantee that all of our students are safe during their academic careers, so please understand the reason for our decision."

Other than that, the rest of the details listed what kind of classes the Hero Course would be expected in a generalized sense, and a few other additions to the school's faculty beyond the addition of All Might as a teacher, which included a second counselor specifically for Class 1-A, and a new head of security to improve the school's already notable defenses.

Beyond those details? The syllabus was what Midoriya expected it to be, both for school materials and otherwise.

"Dormitories, huh?" He thought aloud.

His mind wandered to the day All Might spoke to his mother, where he first learned about his mentor being a teacher at U.A.

'This must be what he meant about ensuring the safety of the students. With us in U.A.'s walls, it would be safer-' He realized.

"Midoriya!"

Feeling a hand on his shoulder, Midoriya jumped and then turned around to see Iida was behind him.

"O-Oh, hi Iida!" He greeted after collecting himself.

"My apologies for the scare, but you were so lost in thought that it was the only way I could get your attention." Iida apologized.

"Sorry about that, it happens more often than you think." Midoriya admitted.

"Do you mind if we walk to the station together? I'd like to get some of your opinions on how today's class went." Iida requested.

"Not at all." Midoriya accepted.

As the two headed to the station together, Iida began the conversation with how Aizawa taught class.

"I was a little concerned with Mr. Aizawa's approach to class, but I'd like to trust his judgment with how serious he spoke of his past." He stated.

"Yeah, it definitely seems like he's looking out for us." Midoriya agreed.

"Speaking of which, I've been curious about something Bakugo-" Iida continued.

"Hey!" Uraraka called out.

Midoriya and Iida turned around as they saw her run towards them.

"Wait up you two! If you're heading to the station, I'll join you guys!"

They waited for her to catch up.

"Let me see... Ochaco Uraraka, correct?" Iida recalled.

"Yep, and you are... Tenya Iida, right?" Uraraka replied.

Iida nodded in response.

"And I definitely remember Midoriya's name." She smiled.

Midoriya blushed at that.

"Speaking of which, do you and Bakugo know each other?" Uraraka inquired.

"Huh!? Why do you ask?" He questioned nervously.

"Well, during the quirk test, you called him Kacchan and he called you Deku, so it seemed like you two were already familiar with each other." She explained.

"I noticed that as well." Iida added.

Midoriya blushed after hearing that.

"Well... yes. Back when the two of us were still in Kindergarten, we used to be friends." He admitted.

"But not anymore?" Iida assumed.

Midoriya just lowered his head.

"I realize this is question might be a bit too personal, but does it relate to why Bakugo claimed you were quirkless?" He continued.

"Yeah... he probably wouldn't believe me if I told him, but until last year? I had been misdiagnosed as such." Midoriya answered.

"But aren't quirk tests always accurate nowadays?" Uraraka questioned.

"The modern tests are definitely such, but that means the Doctor who did his test may be the one that's at fault." Iida clarified.

"Yeah, he used the old method of taking X-Rays and unknowingly showed me and my mom the wrong one." Midoriya confirmed.

It wasn't a complete lie. The Doctor who had diagnosed him had been the grandfather of the doughy boy that used to be one of Bakugo's lackeys, who had apparently moved away sometime before they began Junior High.

His grandpa's practice had been closed down around the same time, which implied they had to move because of what made it close in the first place. Once he learned of this, All Might used it to make him a cover story in case anyone asked about it.

"My mom and I didn't try to get a retest after that, so I've only known about my quirk for about a year, after I was lucky enough to make it manifest." He finished.

Uraraka soon got close to his face.

"Luck had nothing to do with it! It's because you're not a Deku, but a Dekiru!" Uraraka encouraged.

"Dekiru?" Midoriya and Iida repeated.

"Yeah, a Dekiru! Because the fact you beat the Zero Pointer just screamed "You can do it!" to me! Plus, I think it sounds kind of cute." She smiled.

Midoriya blushed at those words.

"Hey, mind I call you that?" Uraraka asked, sounding excited.

"I think it might be a bit soon for him to consider-" Iida began.

"Sure, go ahead!" He replied while blushing.

"Just like that!?" Iida shouted in disbelief.

Midoriya turned around and covered his now gradually reddening face.

"Paradigm shift! My entire world has turned upside down!" He stated.

"Huh?" Iida blinked.

"Wait, what?" Uraraka said, slightly confused by his response.

Things quickly shifted from there as they began walking to the station. For the first time in a long time, Midoriya felt like he was starting to make friends, and starting to gain a little confidence in himself.

Meanwhile, in one the faculty lounges, Toshinori was looking over what he was scheduled to do for the first joint exercise between 1-A and 1-B as Nezu stood before him.

"You sure this is a good idea?" He asked

"I can't say it's completely one, but you and I can both agree this is going to happen eventually. As such, it seems better to let it happen now, rather than later when the damage could end up much worse." Nezu replied.

Toshinori pinched part of his forehead as he let out a stressful sigh, knowing how Nezu's ideas usually worked.

"This is still gonna happen even if Aizawa, Kan, and I all try to tell you otherwise... isn't it?" He quickly realized.

Nezu took a sip of his tea before answering.

"When did I even imply in the slightest that you had any ground to speak against the idea?" He asked, almost in a darkly humorous manner.

"Of course it is." Toshinori sighed.

He soon pulled out his Silver Age costume, staring at it as he thought about the class that Nezu was referring to.

'Get ready Midoriya, because you don't have time to relax. The real test will begin soon enough.' Toshinori thought.

It was then the lesson plan's sole requirement was shown.

That Midoriya and Bakugo's teams would fight each other.

Nezu, you are terrifying...

Following a colorful experience on both sides? Class 1-A and 1-B have finished their first day of class, and the dorm system is already being put into place due to All Might's presence rather than after Kamino or any kind of villain event happening beforehand. One thing I'd like to clear up ahead of time is that the dorms have already been made, so the only reason the students haven't moved in just yet is to handle any issues with the transition and so the heroes can test the security of said location before their students actually live there.

Said security isn't made by Power Loader either, but that's all I'll say for now.

I also decided to change up Aizawa's reason for his test a little, since after the reveal of Shirakumo and what he saw happen to his friend? I felt like making him share this story due to the stronger weight it carried behind it, as it feels like the manga honestly could have brought up more hints to Shirakumo than it actually had prior to Ch 254.

With that out of the way, like I said above? Next chapter will start with Aizawa and Kan discussing the quirks of all their students and letting you see just how they've all been changed.

However, what they talk about won't be everything. Some powers are like Asui's ability to camouflage and still unknown to the students of both classes, so they won't be manifesting them until after things the Training Camp, their Special Move training, or any other event that might push them past their limits.

Until next time everyone, and stay awesome! ^^
