Chapter 7: The Boss
4 days later.
Parker and Mei were lucky, yesterday was their last detention and today is Children's Day. So they decide to tackle all their friends request today. They decide to fulfill Jirou's request, reluctantly in Parker's Case. At the moment they are looking for Music Shop that was owned by her Parents in Musutafu Business District.
"Where was she said the shop was" Parker asked his cousin, the girl in question then pull out her phone. "According to her message, it's should be... right here" she said and turn her attention away from the phone to her front, Parker followed her gaze. In front of them stood a big entertainment center; from the front window they could see many instruments from electrics to traditional for sale, TV's from big and small, and even new video game consoles. Next to the window pane stood glass double door and on top of it sits a huge purple neon sign.
"Deep Purple Entertainment center" Parker read. He then turns his head to Mei and asks "you sure this is the place?"
"The address says it's here" she said unsurely "I'm going to call her" she then tap Jirou's contacts and proceed to call her. It took three rings before Jirou answered. "Yeah?" ask the voice on the phone.
"Jirou-san, is the address you sent was the right one?" Mei asked Jirou. "Yep" Jirou answered, she then asked Mei "are you there yet?"
"Yeah, me and Parker already in front of the shop" she confirmed. "Kay, be there in a jiffy" the group's Bard said and then hung up. The Duo then waited for a while, the shop's Door then opens and Jirou came out from the shop, instead of done in her usual rocker outfit she wore a simple black shirt and knee length skirt instead. "Morning" she greets Mei, she then flip off parker "go to hell"
"Morning to you too, cunt" Parker replied politely, he then turn towards the shop "when you said shop I didn't know what you meant was an equivalent of department store, color me impressed"
"Big or small it doesn't matter, shop is a shop" Jirou said nonchalantly "what important is that we have keyboards to fix"
Mei smiles "Straight to the business then?" Mei said and pockets her phone "lead the way then"
Jirou then lead them inside the shop, inside the shop they saw so many guitars on display. "It's just me or there are more guitars than other instruments here?" Parker remarked. Jirou didn't as much as glance at him and says "your eyes are still working it seems" she sassed "yeah, we have hundreds of guitars and each one is different from the others."
Ignoring her previous sass, Parker nodded at the answer. Something then gained his attention, he walk away from their guide to a shelf with DVDs on display. He approaches the shelf and picks one DVD that piqued his attention. "RWBY?" he read, he then read the cover's back "only 1 season" he noted. Jirou and Mei walk towards him "it's an old Pre quirk web series" Jirou said "unfortunately, we could only found one season. People online still looking for the next seasons to this day" Mei then stands next to Parker
She then picks up one of the displayed DVDs, Parker glance at the DVD's cover. It shows a teenage boy with white hair holding hands with a Blue dinosaur like creature that as big as a child, they looking at each other while their backs facing the viewer. "Bigimon Evolution: Final Evolution" Parker reads the cover.
"It's the final installment of the Bigimon series" Mei said, excited. The pinkette then turn to Jirou and asks "I didn't get to see this Movie last Month, how did you get the DVD release? There's no way in hell this is legit!" she perplexed
Jirou then took the DVD from Mei's hand "it is and it's not for sale" she said, she then store it inside her inventory while muttered "seriously, this is where I misplace it". She was about to walk again but Mei grab her wrist, tightly. Jirou turn her head to Mei and saw that Mei hung her head
"Jirou-chan" she said in serious tone. She then lifts her head and shows Jirou her best impression of Puppy eyes "Could you please lend me that DVD?" she begged "I can't wait months for the official release after I knew you have one"
Jirou nervously laugh "Sorry Mei, but I honestly can't." she apologized "My friend said I can't show it to anyone or else he'll get himself in a serious trouble" she then looks away and mutters under her breath "it's even a dumb luck that no one saw it getting displayed here"
"Did you stole it" Parker teased, grin plastered his face "I didn't know that you were that brave, Jirou-san". This comment gained Jirou's attention. She scowls and snaps "I didn't dick head. It was given by-"She clams her mouth and then clear her throat "let's forget this and fix the damn keyboards"
She then drags Mei who still holding her wrist. Parker smirked "that's one for me" he then followed the two to the warehouse.
Inside the warehouse many cardboard boxes were arranged, some are new while the other has clearly aged. Jirou lead the duo to a stack of 4 rectangular cardboards. The cardboards seems really old, the text on it even already blurred. "So, how old are these keyboard is" Mei asked curiously while inspecting the cardboards. She then picks one up and opens it. The keyboard inside was covered in dust and most of it even already harden.
Jirou then hold her chin and says "I'd says about 20 or 23 years" she then shook her head "it's already sits there since I was a kid" during Jirou's muse Mei materialized her tools that she store in her inventory, she then opened the Keyboard and inspect its insides, she visibly flinched when she saw it's conditions
"Why fix it though?" parker asked Jirou curiously "is it even broken?"
"It is" Mei answered for Jirou, they both then turn to Mei and then she elaborates "most of the parts inside here are already rusted, there's a lot of hardened dust and grimes on the circuits and its electrolytic capacitors needs to be changed."
Jirou hummed in response, she then glance at the stack of cardboard "is it still salvageable?" she asked Mei. The inventor nodded "Yep. We can salvage all the working components from these keyboards. But if my estimations are correct, we can only restore one or two keyboards from this. Oh yeah, and we still need to replace the capacitors with a new one"
"As long as it salvageable" Jirou conceded "it's not for sale anyway." Mei actually got curious at her comment "I thought you were going to sell it". Jirou shook her head "these actually a really old keyboards, they didn't produce it anymore." She said "and my friend has been looking for these babies for a while"
"You can't use your power to fix it?" Parker asked again "I mean you can use it to create Dragon and tank". Mei giggled "unfortunately no" she denied "My scrap control forces scraps to reshape themselves into things that I know how it work. I don't know how these keyboards works so I can't use my power on it. Besides this place is filled with too many electronics to my comfort"
"Your power is the literal 'knowledge is power'" Parker remarked, he then crack his finger "all right! let's start the operation, Boss" he said and start to open the rest of the keyboards. They spend 5 hours working on the keyboard. After disassembling and reassembling them, changing the capacitor and cleaning the dust they managed to completely fix a keyboard. There are a lot of trials and error since Mei only know a little about keyboards and its inner machinery, double that with tutoring Parker about it, it's the reason they took 3 hours to finished. For two hours Mei tutoring Parker how to build an advanced electronic device whilst fixing the Keyboard. An hour to fix the thing, because Mei and Parker fucked the keyboard's Notes up. Fortunately for them, Jirou was there to help them fix it.
After they fixed and clean the keyboard up Jirou invited the duo for lunch, she invited the duo to eat at the nearby Ramen Shop. They ate in silent for a while, until Jirou broke the silence.
"I've scouted the meeting place" Jirou said out of the blue, she then pull out a photo from her skirt pocket. She then pass it on Mei who sitting between us. "The more I search about the place, the more I feel suspicious" she continued
Mei took the photo from the counter and inspect it, Parker tilt his head so he can have a better look at the photo. The photo shows a tall and plain office building, the only thing catches their attention was the Detnerat sign hung on the building.
"Detnerat" Parker muttered out loud "what the hell they want with us?" he said as he finishes his bowl. He then cross his legs and fold his hands
"Better yet, what Detnerat office building does in the middle of traditional Marketplace?" Mei points out "last time I heard they only opened up a branch at Kyoto recently, how the hell they open a branch near here without any of the news station knowing. Hell, even there's no rumor of it whatsoever"
"That's not all" Jirou said and subtly pull out a paper from her inventory then handed it to Mei "here are the deeds that I was able to 'get my hands on' from the original owner"
"This was signed yesterday" Parker remarked "this building shouldn't even exist. It's impossible to build things in one night, not even with Cementoss's Quirk"
"Yep and the Admin said that we're going to meet at that place in 1 weeks" Jirou confirmed "I already review all the nearby CCTVs recording and guess what? Not a single construction vehicle went there or even drive by the streets"
"Did you inform the others?" Parker asked her, she shook her head and answered "you guys are the first one to know"
"This is concerning" Mei muttered "we need to inform Izuku-kun of this"
"That's the plan, I need to get more evidence and then I inform the others about it" she said as she finishes her bowl "we need to be cautious about this, I'll keep an eye on the place."
She then trade goodbyes with the duo and the duo went straight to Momo's Place. After the duo arrived at the Mansion they were greeted by Momo who were tending her front yard garden. She then invited them inside. She then lead the duo to the mansion's Living room, Momo then excuses herself and told the duo to wait.
After few minutes of waiting Momo finally returned after she cleans herself, she also brought cookies and tea with her.
"I'm sorry for the wait, I didn't know that you guys were going to visit today" she said and then she put the tray on a coffee table. She then took a seat at one of the sofa.
"It's okay really, we just finished Jirou's request and we got some time to kill before dark" Parker said and then he sips his cup of tea
"Yeah, might as well we start our course on programming" Mei said and pull out a book from her inventory "we'll start with Python for now"
Momo nodded "alright, I'm going to grab my book. Excuse me" she then went back inside and return with a book not long after. Mei then starts their tutoring session, unsurprisingly Momo able to pick up things faster than Parker. They stops the session after the clock hits 3 PM, after few minutes of break Mei Inform Momo about what Jirou said to them.
"Curious" Momo muttered as she holds her chin "How is this admin accomplishing such feat?"
Mei then got tense for a bit "do you think our guy got some reality manipulation power?" she asked them skeptically
Parker clasp fold his hand "if this fella is a legit admin, I'd say yes" he agreed "Emo said she's going keep an eye on the building, we need to know who this Admin person is. And spying through the CCTV is the only way right now"
"Usually I'm against this kind of behavior" Momo said begrudgingly "but, it's either this or we going blind. And I don't like the odds of the latter"
"Neither does us" Mei agreed "for now let's wait for more info from Jirou-san"
They spend the rest of the day talking about other stuff, after they see that the sky already dark the duo went home after they established a schedule for their learning session.
The next day, during lunch period Momo, Mei, Izuku and Parker decide to eat at their usual spot; the further back of cafeteria. Whilst they eat, Izuku asked them about what they know about their strong points and weaknesses. After that Izuku suggest testing their Power after school, to which the players agrees.
After school they plus Jirou went to the nearest forest, fortunately Izuku knows where and lead them there. The trip took about an hour of walk. When they arrived Izuku immediately lead them to the nearest opening.
"I've been wondering" Parker said suddenly, this made everyone to turn to him "why there's no Shard of Worlds spawning since last weeks? Is it because we finally were noticed by the Admin?"
"Probably yes, probably no" Mei disagree "You got that assumption that they stops spawning because the only one we need to seek was that Gundyr shard. While the other two basically spawn on us" she then turns to Momo and Jirou
"How 'bout you two?" she decide to ask "you said you've fought them before right?"
"I think we need to actively seek them" Momo answered "the shards that we fought in the past were found by chances"
Jirou nodded "yeah, we fought like 3 of them. And all of them were hidden in plain sight"
"Yeah, except that big guy" Momo snorted "I was surprised when a shard just spawns out of the blue like that"
Izuku gain a thoughtful look and says "your experience with them are vastly different, it's weird"
"Yeah" Parker agreed "I just wish that no Shard ambushes us again, once is already enough"
Momo and Jirou looks surprised "Ambushed?" Mei nodded and decides to tell their encounter with Laura. After she finished Momo expresses her condolences
"I'm sorry to hear that" Momo apologized "That experience must have been really frightening"
Jirou shook her head "yeah, not even I would wish that upon Parker. And that's something"
"Well gee thanks" said brunette remarked. Izuku was about to say something but he then notices that they finally arrived at their destination "we're here" he said instead
The opening is large enough for Momo or Mei to summon one of their monsters. They rest for a while and then starts to train; first, they need to looks for their weaknesses. Second, they need to find strategies to complement each other's strength. And third, they need to find what their current limit is.
They train in this spot for the next few days and rest at the weekend.
One day before the meeting, at school during lunch Jirou sent them a video of CCTV recording. It shows a brown haired girl entering their meeting spot; the girl is familiar for parker for some reason.
"I think I've seen her before" Parker muttered loud enough for them to hear "but, where?"
"Regardless, Kyo-chan said that this girl is the only one who keeps entering the building for last few days." Momo said "do you think this girl is the Admin we going to meet?"
"I think so" Izuku answered "she's the only person who entered that building, it's safe to assume that she's the admin or at least has connection with them" he then turn to Momo "did Jirou-san able to get any information on the girl?"
Momo scroll down her phone and opened a document that were sent by Jirou. She then shows them the content of the document.
"Uraraka Ochaco" Izuku read aloud the document details "Quirk: Zero Gravity, born December 27. Her parents were died in a Villain attack when she was 5 and was orphaned until she was adopted when she was 7" he grimaced after read that. "She's move a lot from an orphanage to another before she was adopted. She's been living at Tokyo ever since." Mei continued "what the heck she's doing in the middle of Musutafu then?" Momo then close the document and store her phone.
"It said here that she was adopted by someone" Momo noted "but it didn't says who"
Parker scratches his head and asks "was it encrypted?" Momo shook her head "No, Kyo-chan has a theory that this section was omitted on purpose"
"But why though? Was she adopted by Yakuza?" Mei questioned
"That's the million yen question isn't?" Izuku quipped "regardless, we're going to get our answers tomorrow"
"Damn right we are" Parker exclaimed "I have questions that's need their answers ASAP"
The bell then rung and the gang went back to their class.
The next day was Sunday. The group then went on their way to the meeting point. They arrived at the front of Detnerat building after 30 minutes walks from Mei and Parker's apartment. As they walk Izuku and Jirou looking around the Marketplace streets, the streets were crowded.
"Wow, it's crowded here but people hardly bats an eye to this building" Jirou remarked "not even a curious glance"
"Yeah" Izuku agreed "they should've at least feeling curious, it's getting weirder the more we look at it. I mean this building literally didn't existed until few days ago with no warning or notice whatsoever"
"So what do we do now?" Mei asked "we already here, how we contact this admin guy?"
Parker shrugs "no idea, the dude didn't gave us their numbers"
"I'm nervous" the Greenette Said "is this the right choice?"
Parker Shrug "We've been Training for 2 weeks, I'm confident that we'll be okay" he then point his thumb to Jirou "If anything bad happen we can sacrifice her and Jet the hell out of here"
Jirou scowl at him and kicked him in the shin, Parker flinch and tried to keep a straight face. But, one can see that his eyes are wet a bit. Izuku ignored their antics and turn to Momo "what do you think, Yayorozu-san?" he asked
"I'm sure we'll be okay" the heiress assured him "if something went wrong, like Parker-kun said; we can handle ourselves just fine" this made Izuku a bit more relaxed that its coming from more dependable source
"Yeah, we got called by some kind of God. I'm sure we'll be okay" Jirou quipped, this made Mei giggled "So we got raptured?" Mei joked, Jirou snort "It's not, because if it is then Devil like Parker won't be joining us today"
"Oh shut it, Cerberus" Parker responded with slightly pained voice, Izuku then clear his throat "Anyone wants to knock or enter?" He asked, he then turn his gaze to his side "cause I'm sure we made enough commotion here"
The other then glance around them, they saw that few people are looking at them weirdly. It was awkward for few moments until Momo spoke "There's nothing to gawk at, Mind your own Business" she demanded quite harshly. People then hastily returned to their previous business "I didn't know you can snap like that, Momo" Parker Whistled
Said girl shook her head "I tried not to" she said with a frown "it's just being in spotlight sometimes irks me"
"That's nice and all, but does anyone want to enter that building so we can start our discussions?" Mei remarked
"That's Unnecessary" a feminine voice spoke behind them, the gang surprised and turn around. Standing behind them is Ochaco Uraraka, she's wearing a pink Hoodie, Short Denim and White sneakers. There's also permanent pink blush decorating her impassive face. She appeared to be listening to music on her white headphone.
"I will take you to him" She said impassively, she then walk passed the gang without even a single words. She then opened the glass door and entered, she stops after few steps and turn around and waited the gang to follow.
"I think she's waiting for us" Parker said. Jirou rolled her eyes "thanks for your insight, Captain obvious"
'So the admin is a man' he thought then nodded "let's follow her" Izuku ordered. The gang then entered the building, inside the building they glancing around in curiosity. What they thought was an office building turns out to be a restaurant, this surprised them.
"The hell" Mei Muttered "I thought this place was an office building, turns out this is a restaurant"
"We're working on renovating the front" Uraraka explained "in meantime this will be sufficient, it's only a cover after all"
Izuku tilted his head "Cover?" he said, confused.
"everything will be explained in due time" she answered then turn around "Please Follow me" she then walks away from the gang, The gang exchange looks then follows after her. They walk past some costumers and employees, they walk until they found an elevator to which they entered. Once inside their guide took out a card and swipe it under the number pad, she then pressed number 26409
The elevator dinged and they can feel they're descending "we got Cover and now Secret underground floor" Jirou remarked "What's next? Send us to a mission to save the world?"
Uraraka shook her head "there's no saving world mission" she answered "there's something he need to discus to you guys first"
"And that is?" Izuku asked, Uraraka didn't answer or responded. 'That's helpful' Izuku thought, annoyed.
The elevator stopped with a ding and the door opened. Beyond the door lay a dimly lit hallway with doors on each sides of the wall, the group then noticed that the floor and walls are not painted and not even a single ceramic tile can be spotted on the floor. This fills the group with sense of uneasiness.
"Please follow me" their guide said simply and starts to walk forward, she didn't even glance at the group to check whether they followed her or not. Without wasting anymore time the group then started to follow after Uraraka. They walked silently for a few moments until they reach the end of the hallway, Uraraka lift her right hand to grip a non-existent handle. Suddenly, vines appeared from the wall and interweaved to one another in Uraraka's grip. The vines formed into a door handle, Uraraka twisted it and push it open. The Plain wall that was the end of hallway suddenly opened in half and the teenagers could see what lay beyond the wall.
It was a beautiful garden. So many flowers and trees decorating the garden, there's even birds and butterflies flying around the garden. There's even small stream that flow from a small waterfall at the far side of the room, there's even small lake under the waterfall. They entered and were greeted by warm sun light, this surprised them greatly. Izuku look above them and saw something that he even thinks impossible. What above them wasn't a roof or ceilings, but it was blue sky instead. The sky were littered with clouds that moving to where the winds pushes them, there's even the sun that bath them with it's warm and pleasant light.
"Is that..." Momo trailed off when she saw what Izuku gawk at.
"Beautiful, isn't?" a voice spoke beside them. They startled by this because they didn't see anyone beside them in the garden, not even Jirou and Parker notice him walks in. In instinct they draw their weapons and point it to the voice direction.
"Easy there, I sincerely apologize about that. I must've surprised you guys" the owner of the voice spoke again. When they turn to the source they can see a certain long nosed middle aged man sitting on a rock
"Rikiya Yotsubashi" Mei gasped. She was about to walk to him but Parker grab her by the wrist and put his finger to his Handgun's Trigger "No, He isn't. It's a disguise" He warns them.
'Rikiya' turn his eyes to Magatama that hanging on Parker's Neck "oh, that old thing" he chuckled "nice item you got there, Specter" he then raised his arms in mock surrender and grinned playfully
"You got me" he said with amusement. He then stand up and his body glitch out as he stand. After a moment middle aged man was replaced by a man that seems in his early twenties. Said man was wearing a baby blue tuxedo suit, black tie with white stripes hung in his neck and a pair of green leather shoes. Said man then slick backs his red tipped black hair and adjust his tie. From Parker's view he can see that the lock that on the CEO Head all the time is gone
"Forgive me for my rudeness earlier" he apologized curtly, he then dramatically bow dramatically "I'm Crimson Rose, at your service" he introduce himself.
He then stands straight and says "I'm sure you all must've been hungry for both answers and treats" he then sit back down "but first let's take a seat"
Suddenly the teenagers found themselves already sitting on a sofa at the middle of the garden, weapons missing from their hands. They became more uneasy and tense.
'This is!' Izuku thought with ounce of fear 'we didn't even walk or move!'
'But, we didn't withdraw our weapons yet!' Parker thought as he saw that his trusty weapon is no longer in his hands
'Is this power of an Admin, truly we are outmatched!' Momo thought whilst glancing around whilst tried to hide her fear
They then saw that a table emerged from the ground in front of them; on the table were various sweets and drinks, the group's Summoner notices that there are Brands that isn't available in Japan. But alas, their fear discouraged them from even touching the sweets.
"Please enjoy the treats" Crimson's silky and welcoming voice drawn back their attention toward him. Said man now is sitting behind a desk made from oak with intricate design of roses on it, on the table left side lay a rather thick book while the other has stack of papers. He then intertwined his fingers that decorated with rings except on his ring fingers "alright let's open our discussion, as you guys may know. I'm part of the Admin; you can call me Admin Crimson if you like" he spoke
He then gestured to his side where Uraraka has been leaning on the side of the desk, back facing the admin and still listening to her headphone "this is my Assistant who doesn't have any manners, Uraraka Ochaco" he introduce her, said girl turn her head away from the group.
His face then filled with amusement "but, I'm sure at least one of you already know that" he said knowingly
'Crap' Jirou cursed in her mind while keeping her calm and indifferent façade
He then noticed that the group didn't even touch any of the treats he 'prepared', he frowns and says "are these not to your likings?" he asked "I'm sure at least you have one treats that you enjoyed, after all-"
"Your powers made them uneasy" Uraraka cut him off. Surprise filled admin's silver eyes, he then turn to his assistant "truly?" he asked incredulously "I was told that I must show my subordinates display of powers to earn their trust"
Uraraka shook her head "then you're an idiot if you believe that" she said simply and put her hands to her hoodie pockets then continued "and drop that way of speaking, you sound like a snob"
The onyx haired man visible flinched at the last statement, he then slump down and sighs "sorry" he apologized to her "I'll try again" the group notices that he has slight country accent when he speaks. He then clears his throat and stands up, He then bow down properly "I'm sorry; I was suggested to show some of my power to earn your trust by my peers" he then stands straight and scratch his head "but instead I made you guys uncomfortable"
'Is this dude serious?' Izuku's group thought in unison, the previous tense and uneasy atmosphere was thrown out from the window, got hit by a truck and rot into nothing. Izuku was the first one who replied "A-ah its fine" he stuttered "we were surprised that's all" he lied
The man then pouts and grumbled under his breath "show your power they said, it'll be easier for them to trust you they said" completely ignoring his Guest
Uraraka sighs then kick the desk with her heel; this surprised the Admin but broke him out of his grumbling. "O-oh right, sorry" Crimson said, he then clap his hands and says "Now, where are we? Oh yeah. I'm sure you guys have questions that needs answers really badly"
He then gestured towards Momo "perhaps you have some questions, Yayorozu-san?"
Momo clear her throat and asks "We want to know the reasons why you bestow parker and me this power?"
"Aha! The mystery that bothers you two till this very day isn't?" Crimson said, amused. "No definite reason I'm afraid, you two were just lucky enough to be chosen by our system. That's all" he said casually.
Jirou then asked "How about the items to recruit us as players? Why do you guys made them?"
The man shrugged "to level the playing field of course, at some server it's near impossible to search for other players, the one who willing to be friends that is"
Izuku perked up at that statement "Server?" he muttered out loud, Uraraka answered his unasked question "he meant other Worlds" she said simply
Izuku gasped, his eyes wide "W-w-w-worlds!? There are other Worlds than this!?"
Crimson smiles "yeah, but other servers are not as peaceful as this" he added. He then perked up "Speaking of server" he then pick something from his breast pocket and threw it to Izuku. Izuku catches it and open his palm. Inside his palm was green digital wristwatch with a tribal hourglass logo emblazed on its screen. Izuku were shocked by this.
"you need that to lead your team, Midoriya-kun" the Admin said with a smile "and I can officially register your team to this server, so your hunt will be easier"
"alright, let's cut the chase and say what your demands for this" parker Said impatiently
"I don't have any demands, honest" Crimson denied "I just simply want to help my Players to grow"
"Yeah, as if" Parker scoffed "you don't just gave out power for free"
Crimson sighs "Honestly you need to learn to gave someone benefit of a doubt, Specter"
"Why do you call Parker-kun specter?" Mei asked curiously. "It's just a nickname, nothing much" he lied while glancing at the reincarnated duo with smile
"What's with the lack of Shard of worlds? I thought those bastards supposed to be a boss or some shit" Jirou questioned him. "for the moment I stopped their spawn" Crimson answered " as for the reason I stopped it, it's related to why I called you guys here"
"Last question for now" Mei said "why are you disguising yourself as the Rikiya Yotsubashi?"
The black haired man chuckled "because it's easier to Disguise as someone who doesn't exist"
'Doesn't exist?' Izuku thought curiously. The admin probably sense his curiosity and just waved his hand in dismissive manner "Don't worry about it. It's not a big of a deal."
The man then clasp his hands "Okay, with that out of the way for now it's time to discuss why I called you guys here" he said excitedly. He then grab the thick book and open it, he flip through few pages and then stops "Artemis's Arrows, Formed two weeks ago" He read aloud "leader, Izuku Midoriya" he then close it and put it in front of him.
"first I must congratulate you guys for establishing a party" he congratulate them "I'm actually surprised that the only players in this server didn't immediately tried to kill each other"
He then smiles a bit "you don't even abuse you powers, that's something to be proud of" he mused "Hundreds people will abuse your powers to their heart desire if they were born with your powers"
"yeah, we're not dumb" Parker said " in this World where a guy can shoot ice from his asshole. Who's to say that a guy with quirk to take quirks didn't exist?"
Izuku look at Parker incredulously, he then hold his chin in thought "That's... actually a possibility, as farfetched as it might sounds" he muttered "there's quirk that create black holes like Thirteen's, a quirk that allow Dragon transformation and even my sister has a quirk that rewind anything she touch at will. It's possible to have a quirk that can be passed on or take other quirks, its possibility might be extremely low, but not impossible." The teens were surprised, not by his muttering but by the fact he has a sister and never said a word about her.
"An astute observation Midoriya-san" Crimson said clearly amused "spot on no less"
"Spot on?" Momo taken aback
The man nodded "yes, there's actually a person with Quirk to take other Quirks" his statement surprised the teenagers except Parker, Izuku, and Uraraka. Crimson then waved his hand again "Don't worry about her though; she's been retired for a while. She won't bother anyone anymore" he said with a smile. 'Her?' Parker thought to himself
"W-w-wait, does that mean she's still alive?" Jirou asked in great surprise
"Yes" Crimson confirmed "but like I said she won't be anyone's problem anymore. Hell, Big shot villains the likes of her won't be appear anymore, you can hold my word for that" he assured
"How can you be so sure?" Izuku asked suspiciously. Crimson then gestured open his arms wide "you see this Garden" he gestured to the entire room, he then asked "tell me, what do you feel when you entered this garden?"
"I suddenly felt more calm" Izuku answered "and the warm of the sun is pleasant, not hot like the sun outside"
Crimson nodded "that's correct" he then snaps his fingers and bushes start to appear and circling them. The man then gestured towards the bushes "take a closer look, what do you see?"
Izuku narrows his eyes at one of the bushes, he saw that some of the leaves were eaten by some caterpillars "there's caterpillars eating the leaves" he answered
"That's correct" Crimson said, he then snaps his finger again and the bushes disappeared with a poof "this room is the Core of this world, and its condition were mirrored by this very room. This garden meant that this World has reached its peaceful and balanced state. There will be squabble between villains and heroes here and there. But it will be small things like robberies, thievery, or kidnaping by small time criminals"
"If this world has reached its peaceful state, then why there's still bad guy running around" Mei asked "because it contradict what peaceful meant"
"That's true" Crimson agreed "but if there's no Crime and hardship that meant this world is in its Utopia state. It's fortunate that it doesn't really"
His Guest was surprised by his statement "Why?" Parker inquired "isn't Utopia a good thing?"
Crimson understand their surprise and elaborated "don't get me wrong, Utopia indeed is a good thing. But, when a world has reached its final stage..." he trailed off "well, can you guess what happened if Mario has rescued princess peach?" he quizzed
"They made a sequel?" Momo guessed
"Not that, the other thing" Crimson deadpan
"The game ended?" Izuku answered, he then realized "you mean that if a world reaches its Utopia state it will end?"
"Yes" The man confirmed grimly "if a world reached its Utopia state it will destroyed itself and resets from the very beginning, it's a good thing that this World is a stagnant world"
"What the hell" Parker gasped "why the fuck did it have to be like that?"
Crimson shook his head "I don't exactly understand why too, it's just how it's works" he said solemnly
"Stagnant world" Izuku muttered "does that meant that this world has been in its peaceful state for a long time?" Crimson nodded and said "you're right, unless there's an outside interference it will be forever in this state"
"Ok, if this world will be peaceful for possibly forever why call us here" Parker demanded "Izuku asked this question to your assistant in the elevator and she didn't even deny or say something"
"ah yes, I'm sorry for that. She can be a little lazy" the admin apologized then clear his throat and straighten his posture "the reason I called you all here is I want to offer you all a job"
"A job?" the leader of the group asked "you mean like a quest or something?"
"you can call it that" Crimson replied "I want you all to do a job for me. Don't worry about it, it's not illegal or anything"
"what job?" Parker inquires "someone has been a thorn on your side and wants us to dispose them?"
The young man was taken aback "What? No!" Crimson denied "I want you guys to clean something for me"
"You want us to clean your mess" Jirou Deadpan "why don't you ask your assistant for that? We're not your Maids and Butlers" she asks while twirling her earlobe
"It's not mine and that's is why I ask for your help" He replied "she alone isn't enough for it"
"just how big is this mess?" Mei asked warily
"Oh it's nothing too big" Crimson said dismissively "you just have to clean up a corpse of a dead god"
The teens didn't know how to react to that. "You said that as if you just said what today weather is" Izuku deadpan.
Crimson chuckled "it is. You all have no idea how many god like entities died every months" he said in a tired voice, he clearly needs a break from it
"and you hire us instead of doing it yourself because?" Parker inquired
Admin sighs "because they forbid me to clean this one" he said "if this is an ordinary god like entities I'm actually going to be thankful for it, but alas this one is a Special case. One that I can't trust to my fellow admins with" he finished with a serious note. Sensing a question about it, Crimson explain further
"You see, before I became an admin I was a player like you guys" he reminiscing "we don't have admin system back then so things became chaotic really fast, Players abusing their abilities to make people lives a living Hell. Some did it for amusement, other because of greed. But there are players that did it because they only want a purpose.
"Back then, our emotions were restrained. We can't feel too much sadness or Joy, but we somehow can feel wrath just fine. Because of this shackles many players are desperate for a fix so they can feel Happiness again. They did anything from searching for loved ones to become a Villain just so they can feel anything. Unfortunately for us, even if we feel joy it won't last long. With our emotion chained our judgments become more and more hazy. Because the cursed system kept our emotions in check we couldn't even feel a sliver of guilt for our sins." Crimson trailed off, sorrow shown in his face.
"that's terrible" Momo gasped in horror
Crimson smile wryly "it is, some of us still carry our past sins until now. Some can't even take it and finishes themself" He said somberly "unable to even ask for forgiveness to those they wronged"
"so what happened after that?" Parker asked "what changed?"
Crimson expression then turns serious and said "War. Players who had enough of our torments waged war against the creator of the system itself. The Great Weaver, Kalamanga"
"You wage war against a God?" Izuku asked in disbelief
The Admin scoffed bitterly "he was no god, he was just another being that tried to play god and failed miserably"
"And after you guys defeat him, you took over the whole system" Momo asked
Crimson nodded "yeah, we took control of everything and fix everything that monster messes with us" he rub his flaming rose pin on his right chest and continued "we lost many friends and even family in that war, we trade lives in order to take back what makes us human." He said in a tired voice. The room went silent; the teenagers once again don't know how to react so they just silently gave their condolences to the players who died so they can retain their emotions. Izuku notices that Uraraka have a small frown on her face.
He then shook his head and regains his composure "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to go into tangent like that." He apologized, he then cough and said "this corpse has a connection with that monster, so I want you guys to destroy it"
"how exactly we're going to do that?" Jirou questioned, Crimson just smiles warmly and answered "Brute force of course"
They were taken aback by his answer. "You want us to beat the hell out of god's corpse with our power!?" Mei asked in surprise, Crimson nodded "yes, because other method to get rid of it is to bring it to my peers. And it's something that I want to avoid"
"why?" Izuku asked "you all fought in a war together right?"
The Admin just snap his fingers and files appeared in the players hands. "Inside that files is the effect of the Corpse mere existence" he said simply. The players then opened the files that they holding and read its contents
"Volleyball national star turned Sex offender?" Jirou read, she then flip to the next page "Legendary artist actually a Plagiarist?"
Momo then skimmed through the files and stop at the near end of it "not just that, there's even a prime minister candidate turned out to be a mastermind behind many cases of Train Accidents" she read.
Izuku felt sick after reading through the files "these scumbags" he muttered with hate. He then close the file and turn to the Admin "this happened just because a corpse's existent?" he asked with disgust "why don't you guys act sooner!? These people suffer because of it!" he demanded
"Trust me, I would if I could" Crimson answered calmly "but, that server is out of my jurisdiction and my friend who oversee that server is currently in suspension, our hands were tied. But, I still don't know for what reason my colleague decide to ignore it"
"It's fortunate that these phantom thieves are there to fix it" Parker remarked and threw the file he holds on the table; the file hits the assortment of treats. "If they aren't, I can't even imagine what could happen to that place" he continued
"So you want us to destroy this thing and that's all?" Jirou asked "seems like a simple job for me" she opined
"Yes, you guys clean that thing and you guys can continue to be an ordinary students" the man affirmed. Parker then got a good idea, for him at least.
"I don't know man" Parker said while scratching his hair "I know that this is an important job, but I can't see what the gain is for us. I mean even if people act up again in that world, I'm sure these phantom thieves' fellas could handle it" this irate Izuku greatly
"How could you say that, Parker-san" Izuku demanded in disbelief "these people are suffering because of this thing!? I can't believe you-"a hand grab Izuku's Shoulder and shift his attention towards the owner
It was Mei, she then whispered "Don't worry about it Izuku-kun, Parker isn't that kind of guy. He just making sure that we got something else from this too" this somewhat calm him down a bit
"I see, so you're not interested?" Crimson asked, Parker shook his head "I didn't said that, I'm asking what our gain? We could grind in a dungeon for XP and Coins. Hell, we don't exactly need the Crystals too." He bluffed
"so you're that kind of guy, huh?" Crimson said knowingly "a selfish person who always wants rewards for something. Did knowing that you saved millions not enough for you?" he asked. Parker shook his head and smiles "nope, after all nothing comes for free. Everything is give and take in this world or should I say worlds"
"I gave Midoriya-kun power without any demands" the man argued. Parker scoffed "don't sell me that crap; I know you gave Izuku that Power watch so you can earn our trust and later our loyalty"
"and why I need loyalty? I'm not planning to raise an army or anything" Crimson countered. "you didn't, but you implies few minutes ago that your peers are not exactly trustful to you, right? And if I guess you only have few Admins that you could call friends, so you need us at least as your allies when everything went to shit" Parker guessed
Crimson chuckled "you know I could just ban you and be done with it right?" he said with a sly smile. Parker smirked "and you know that I could see your stats as clear as sky right?" he said amusedly "I believe at least one of my friends can take you out before you can ban all of us"
The room then fell silent and filled with tense atmosphere. Parker and Crimson didn't broke their eye contacts, sweat running down the other teens forehead. Momo gulped unconsciously, Jirou stops playing with her earlobes, Izuku grip tighten, Mei grind her teeth silently while Uraraka stare at the two people who locked in a stare down. Parker was no better, before he threw his first punch he fold his arms so his opponent can't see his nervous tick. Now his pinkie is shaking violently.
Crimson was the one who broke the stare down. He chuckled and slowly it turn into a full blown laugh. He laughs for a while and after he able to regain some composure he spoke "That was Quite amusing, Specter. An attempt to make sure that you guys are not being manipulated into doing something for free, you has done a good job at bargaining for an amateur."
Parker shrugs "can't blame a guy for trying" he said casually
Crimson fold his hands and nodded "alright, what's your demands?"
Parker relaxes his posture and lean his back at sofa that they sat on "ya know, we're bunch of teenagers that aim for the most prestigious school in the nation" he said "we need something to grease our way in if you catch my meaning"
Crimson lean forward "you want me to make sure you lot to be accepted?" he asked, Parker shook his head "not that, that will be an insult to our hard works this far" he denied
Parker decides to cut the chase "we want paycheck, not just coins and crystals. We want money"
The man chuckled "you want ordinary money for your pay?" he asked "you know that you can use our coins to get the ingredients for anything you want right?"
"And spent it on Materials Roulette? No thank you" the teen denied
"Fair enough" Crimson deadpan, he then picks his phone from his chest pocket "how's $3000 dollars sounds?"
"9000" Parker bargained "we need expensive materials for our gears you know?"
"4500, that's already so much money for kids your age you know?"
"8900, we aren't run of the mill kids"
"5800, yeah kids that altering their reality with certain limits. Still kids nonetheless"
"8700, we can handle ourselves in a fight against a dragon. That's something that kids can't brag about"
"6200, a low level Dragon summon that can't entirely hurt you"
"8500, still a dragon nonetheless"
Crimson smiles "you drive a quite bargain Specter-san" an idea then struck the admin. "How about I gave you all an offer instead? I'm sure this will benefit the both of us"
"Really, what do you offer then?" Parker asked, intrigued
"My offer is for you all to work for me" the admin said "you see, lately my peers have been trying to cut me out from business in other servers. Even I don't know about this corpse issue until 2 weeks ago and I've been calling them to confirm it.
He shook his head "they kept denying it, but once I got my hands on some evidence they told me stay out of it. I want you all to be my eyes and ears in other servers, I have a feeling that things will be more hectic in coming days" he finished grimly
"And how much will be our pay?" Mei chimed in
"$2300, 4 Crystals, 350 Coins monthly and bonus $1200 for every job finished" Crimson offered.
"Do you mind if we discussed it between us?" Izuku asked, the admin nodded "sure, take your time"
The group then stands and walks few meters away from the admin, they then huddle closer. Izuku then spoke "okay, what do you guys thinks?" he asked "I want to hear yours opinion first at the matter"
"I think this is a bad idea" Jirou the first one who answered "I mean working for someone who we don't know about in the slightest might be dangerous. Who knows what might happen next? He might blackmail us about something, or worst he'll send assassins on our asses"
"Yeah, I'm all for one time job, but I didn't know about working for him" Mei agreed with Jirou "there's too many unknown variable involved in this Job." She then turns to her Cousin "did you get a glimpse of her stats?" she asked
"Yeah" Parker confirmed "she's level 175, her class is tank. Unfortunately, I couldn't take a peek at her HP or base stats. It's probably because my levels are far below her"
"So he has a high level tank as his right hand woman" Momo mused "this is quite troubling"
"But that aside, I think we can benefit from this partnership" Parker threw his two cents "we can work under him while we gather resources, and then if the dude planning to threw us under the bus we threw him six feet under instead."
"So you're planning on betraying him?" Izuku asked with small amount of disgust. Parker shook his head "it's a plan B. we need something if shit hit the fan so I propose this. But, if he keeping his end of bargain we keep ours"
"How about you Yayorozu-san" Izuku asked her "what's your take on this?"
The heiress adopts a thoughtful look "I say we play along for now" she mused, she then furrowed her brows "and if we got a whiff of his plan on betraying us, we disposed of him immediately"
Parker smirks "not afraid to get your hand dirty, huh?" he mused "I like your guts, heiress-chan"
"So we tied on the matter huh?" Izuku muttered, he then close his eyes "let's gather the fact, Admin-san want us to work under him. But, we know next to nothing about him other than he disguised himself as Rikiya Yotshubashi. He mentions that he was getting cut from everything related to Admin business little by little. So he wants us to be his eyes and ears on the matter so we can inform him what other admins up to. The problem is, can we trust him not to just dispose of us after our 'works' for him are finished?
He then silent for a while no doubt mulling over it in his mind, he opens his eyes and spoke "alright, I say we went with Parker's plan. BUT, we will confront him if we got any sign of betrayal. If we can't partway under a good term then we will resort to force, how's that sound?"
Parker shrugs "fine by me"
Momo nodded "it's a most pleasant plan we can concoct"
"Yeah, I don't think we could say no at the matter too to be honest" Jirou reluctantly agreed
Mei beamed "a possibility where I can gather Materials AND test my Babies on him. Good call, Leader!" she said while giving Izuku thumbs up
He smile and nodded, he then lead the group back to the sofa and spoke "we've discussed it over" he then nodded at admin "we agree to take your offer"
Admin beamed at this "excellent" he exclaimed "I'm sure this will be a start to a fruitful partnership, isn't that right, Ochaco-chan?" he asked his assistant, she just yawn in response.
"Well, she's in high spirit" Jirou said flatly. Izuku then walk forward to Crimson, the man stood from his seats and extend his hand. Izuku took the offered hand, sealing their deal.
Parker rests his hands in his Blue hoodie pockets "So, when do our work starts?" he asked "cuz we got test tomorrow so we won't be available" they all except Jirou nodded, the admin hold his chin in thought.
"That's quite a problem, indeed" he muttered, but he then smirks "for you guys that is" he then snaps his finger. In response their room changes, the garden losses all of its vibrant colors and textures and it continues until what remains was wireframe of the entire garden. The wireframes then molded into different shapes; trees changes into bookshelves, rocks, rivers and waterfall become one with floors, sofa where they sat reshapes into an elegant looking one, the only thing that didn't change shapes was Crimson's Desk and the ceiling that was sky.
Deep blue then starts to colors everything. At the end the room was engulfed in it; blue tiled floor, sofa with blue cushions and blue haze that engulfed the entire room.
The teenagers were surprised again at yet another display of power and it took a lot of self-controls to not just materialize their weapons. Crimson then fold his hands behind him "we've arrived" he said then starts to walk pass the teenagers with Uraraka behind him. He then stops at the now fancy double doors and turn towards the teens "well, what are you guys waiting for? Please follow me" he ordered.
The teenagers exchange looks and follows after the admin. The admin then opens the double doors and brighter sunlight engulfed them, Parker and Mei immediately close their eyes shut when they saw that bright light start to seeps in through the cracks of opened doors. They were blinded for a while and after a moment their eyes starts to adapt with the light. When they opened their eyes they notices the absent of hallway, beyond the door was the outside world instead. But soon they notices that they wasn't at Musutafu Marketplace district anymore.
They were in an alleyway, small one enough for a car or two to pass by. The first thing they notice is the Detnerat building was replaced with an old cinema, then they starts to look around them. There are many people walk pass by them and didn't pay them any single glance, as if it was a normal occurrence.
"Where are we?" Jirou asked the admin, she then lift her hand to twirl her earlobe, her tick when she was bored or nervous. When her hand reached the height where her earlobe should've been she instead found nothing but air. She then look around for mirror or any reflecting surfaces, she found a blue minivan and walk hastily towards it. Her stomach drops when she saw her reflection, her earphone jack quirk were replaced by ordinary earlobes. And she screams.
Everyone snaps their head towards her and ran to her. "Kyo-chan what Happen!?" Momo asked worriedly. "M-m-my Quirk" the Bard stuttered "I-i-it's gone!"
"What!?" the group cried in disbelief. Parker then notice that he can't focus on his peripherals, he then saw his reflection at the Minivan's window. Gone was his Crosshair shaped pupils, it was replaced with ordinary baby blue eyes. He then turn towards Mei and saw that her eyes were Normal brown eyes now. He took a step back "W-w-what the hell" he stuttered in fear. He then materialized his Red9 and points it to Crimson.
"The Fuck you did to us, Dickhead!?" he demanded with anger and fear "Answer Me Damn it!"
This action gains everyone's attention, even the passerby. They were alarmed by it and start to run away from parker and his friend. Few even start to call the police, but Parker gave them no mind as he kept aim his gun barrel at admin's head.
Crimson sighs "You know, Specter-kun. You should learn to control your impulses" he mused calmly. Then suddenly everything turns gray except him and Uraraka. "You should've let him deal with the consequences of his action" Uraraka told him "easily freaked out from such trifle things..." she trailed off and shook her head.
Crimson then wave his hand. Everything then starts to move in reverse, in fact the time itself moving backwards. The man then wiped his nose with his handkerchief that he pulls out from his breast pocket. He put it back and now the handkerchief has blood spots on it. "Not everyone has same composure as you, Ochaco-chan." He finally answered "beside I don't want my new employees got hauled by the police, it'll be a hassle to bail them out"
When the teen has reversed into their first position when they came out from the cinema, they stops moving. Crimson then snaps his finger and Jirou, Mei, and Parker's Quirk was back. He turn around, his back facing the teens. "I hope you won't do things like this again in the future" Uraraka said in a worried tone "they're not even worth the trouble. Your health is more important"
Crimson cough a bit and spoke "no promises, Ochaco-chan." He then took a glance at his guest "time like these we need more allies than ever before". Uraraka turn her head towards him, any impassive expression gone only worries remains "those admins, they still didn't believe you. Even after you help them in that war" she stated with sadness.
Crimson nodded "it's to be expected honestly" he answered "they afraid that I'm going to resurrect that monster back". Uraraka pocketed her hands and look away from the young man "I still hopes that they at least hide their animosity towards you" she stated bitterly "you suffered so much more than them"
Crimson notices her sadness and silent anger, he smiles and put a hand on her head and ruffled it affectionately "it's okay really" he said with no hint of sadness or hate on the subject, only acceptance "I still have you and my friends who believes in me" Ochaco blushes a bit and swatted his hand, The Admin Chuckled at her reaction.
He coughed a bit, when he regained his composure everything start to gain their colors back. Uraraka straighten her expression, she schooled her expression back to her impassive looks.
"Where are we?" Jirou asked the admin as she twirls her earlobes. Crimson smirks and turn around, he opens his arms extravagantly "Ladies and Gentleman, Welcome to Yongen-jaya" he welcomed. He straighten himself and turn around "come on, we can discuss the details over a cup of coffee or two" he addressed them and walk away with his employees in tow.
Elsewhere
2 teenage girls hanging around in the middle of empty Arcade, a girl in red appeared to be playing an arcade machine titled Polybius. She was accompanied by another girl in elegant dress, who reading a book, She's sitting on a chair few meters from the girl in red. Next to her was a table with lamp that illuminates the book she's reading
"Man, where the hell those 4 are?" a young and girly voice whined, this voice belongs to the young girl in red "they said to gather here at 2, but it's already 4 for fuck sake" she complained as she played her game.
Her companion shrugs "don't ask me, I'm not their mother" she replied with her silvery voice. She then flips another page of her book "if I had to guess they're dealing with that clown right now"
The girl in red appeared to be struggling at her game, her face became more serious "No way, there's no way in hell that she left us here if that's the case" she disagreed. The game then plays sad beeps, the girl expression turned horrified, she hung her head in disappointment.
Her companion closes the book she's reading, she then sighs "I was joking, They may be just looking for treats" she answered "last time we hang out we didn't have any sweets to eat and Ted throw a temper tantrum" she recalled
The girl in red then materialized her weapon, a demonic looking scythe. The scythe is dark in colors, its handle looks like made from burnt woods and its blade looks like it was made from dried skins and flesh. She slash the scythe in an arc to the arcade machine in front of her, the machine was sliced in half. The girl then exhale and spins her scythe with her hands, she then hung it to her back.
Her companion sighs "don't play it if you going to have temper tantrum when you lose" she complained and snaps her finger, the broken machine then engulfed in blue flame. The fire devours the machine until it was nothing but ashes.
The girl in red pouts "shut up" she huffed and grumble something under her breath about 'shit game' and 'shit hardware'. her companion only shook her head in response and sighs
Sound of door being opened then echoed in the room as light flood into the room. the two sole occupant of the room then turn their heads towards the door, there stood four figures: woman garbed in fancy leather outfit that shows her slim build, a tall man who wearing Duster, leather pants and Military boots, a bulky man that wears a biker outfit with chains hung on his hips, and lastly a figure covered in Armor that looks like a knight straight out of Children's Book.
They entered the room and approaching the two teenage girls. The knight then drops plastic bags that he carried and sits cross legged on the floor. "Yo!" the Bulky man greeted them with deep voice.
"Sorry we're late" the woman in leather outfit apologized as she adjust her Tricorne hat "the Admins seems to be doing some maintenance in this server" she informed. Her voice was smooth and has an air of nobility in it.
"Yeah, we can't even access our inventory for a bit" the man in duster said, his voice sounds like it was filtered by the Gas mask he wore. He then leans on one of the nearest Arcade Machine and spoke "seems like we need to move our Hideout Again"
This news made the girl in red scratches her chin length black hair in frustration "Again?" she whined "we already move around for like three times already"
"Well, we won't have to Move to this server to begin with, if only someone didn't decide to mess with the cops at the last server" the fancy dressed girl remarked in annoyance while glancing at the sitting knight.
The knight just shrugs and picks something from one the plastic bags, it was a chocolate. The bulky man waved his hands dismissively "don't blame the lass here, he just doing what's right" he excused his friend.
"Yeah, helping a bunch of bank robber ran from the police is totally a right thing" the girl sassed. The man in biker outfit just grinned "she helped someone, that's what matters in the end" he said sagely. The teenage girl was about to retort again but the woman with Tricorne hat cut her off
"That's enough" the woman in leather ordered "there's no need to fight over something that has passed, what's done is done" she addressed the teenager, she then addressed the man too "and don't encourage her behavior, you're the one who should've look after her. Make sure that mistake like that never happen again" she demanded
"Yes, Boss" they both said in unison. Their leader nodded "now that the issue has been dealt with, we have other things to take care of" she said, she then materialized a briefcase from her inventory and hold it on her left hand. "That clown sent us this briefcase" she said and proceed to walk to table near the girl in dress and put the briefcase on it.
She then opens it and shows its content to everyone. The man in duster was perplexed by what was inside "smartphones?" he asked, confused. The bulky man scratches his bearded chin and asked "what do we do with it? It's not like we can use it here"
The girl in red nodded her head "yeah, there's barely any electricity in this world. Let alone a cell tower or satellite". The knight stands up and nodded in agreement with the teenager.
The girl in dress then pick one of the phones, she then turn its screen on. She was met with an app with red eyes symbol "Meta-Nav?" she reads the name under the app. She then turns to her leader "what do we do with a phone app?" she asked her.
Her leader shook her head "I don't know" she admitted "the clown only said that we need it in the future" she shook her head in exasperation. "I was expecting that at least the dude spoke in riddles" girl in red admitted. She then walks forward and took one of the phone, the red one.
The man in duster then followed suit, he took black colored phone "We could use tech like this back home, it'll come in handy" he spoke
Then the knight pick one up, a silver colored one and store it into a pouch that hang on her hip
Then the man in biker outfit picks one too, a pink one "well, i can't say no to free stuff" he commented. Lastly, leader picks up the last phone, a baby blue one
She then closed the briefcase and pockets her newly gained phone "now all we need is moves our Hideout" she said "any suggestions?"
Girl in red then hold her chin "I heard of good server when we were at our last server, it's a sleepy server. But I think it will be suffice" she recalled "how's that sounds, guys?" she asked her teammates
"Sure why not, we need a break from everything anyway" the biker agreed
"Yeah, even though I want to return home. But, I think a little stops over is not a bad idea" the other teenage girl admitted and agreed
The knight and gas masked man nodded.
Their leader nodded "then we're in agreement" she said, she then lifts her hand to her green brooch that rested on her chest. She then hold it firmly and turn to the girl with scythe "what's the address?" she asked.
She put a finger on her chin "I think the address was P543SGAUFESD" said girl recalled. Their leader nodded and closes her eyes. Everyone in the room then engulfed in green light, the woman then opens her eyes that glowed eerie green.
"Yog-sothoth, Bring us to Lycaeni, the masked server" she chanted and the group disappeared in a green flash.
