Thank you to everyone that has taken the time to read and review this story! I have received a couple of reviews/messages saying that with the history between Logan and Rory that she should have know that Logan wouldn't treat her that way. I agree with you all that a non-pregnant Rory would have never believed that these actions were Logan's. But pregnancy hormones can make even a normally unemotional person cry at the smallest thing and make the smallest insecurities 100 times worse (during my pregnancy commercials could make me cry and I got mad at someone who told me I looked to thin to be 7 months pregnant).

Logan, Finn and Colin arrived at the Huntzberger estate after Mitchum and Shira had already retired for the evening. Logan told the skittish maid that he needed to see Mitchum immediately and either she needed to wake him up or Logan would do it himself. Logan ended up calling Mitchum numerous times until the man finally answered and Logan informed him that he was in his study and needed to see him and only him immediately.

The three men were tense as they waited, all dreading to know if Michum had any part of the plot to get rid of Rory. After about 30 minutes Mitchum walked into the study and took one look at the three men before a look of disdain crossed his face. "What the hell did you do this time?" he asked as he immediately walked across the room and poured himself a drink.

Not wasting any time Logan stated in a firm tone, "The engagement's off."

"The hell it is," Mitchum boomed as he turned around and stared his son down. "You have been screwing around your entire adult life and its time you grow up and do what you need to do for this family! I put up with your playboy reputation for years and I am sick of it. You will sign the pre-nup that you have been sitting on for months tomorrow and you will be getting married!"

Colin cleared his throat and took a tentative step forward to hand him the folder with the pictures from the PI. "You need see this."

Mitchum snatched the folder from Colin and his face hardened even more as he flipped through the pictures. "Why that slut!" he yelled. "You will sign those documents tomorrow then we will wait for a few weeks and call the whole thing off by using these pictures. Colin keep that PI on her, I want more to destroy her! I'll have these pictures published in every paper we own. That family is going to pay for this!"

"That's not all," Logan said and took a seat. "You may want to sit."

Mitchum glanced at his son and for the first time noticed how disheveled he looked. His clothes were wrinkled, his hair had obviously had his fingers run through it a few times, and he was pale. Slowly he sank down into the chair behind his desk and studied the men again. They all looked on edge. "What is it."

Logan sighed and pushed his fingers through his hair again. "Rory's pregnant."

"I told you to end that months ago when I caught you at lunch!" he yelled.

"I did," Logan stated and then he heard Finn cough and shoot him a nasty look, so he sighed and started again. "She did, as soon as she found out Odette moved in. It wasn't enough for me, so I went and visited her and spent one last night with her. She said good-bye in the morning."

"When was this?" Mitchum asked not really surprised that Rory was the one who ended things, she always seemed to have the better head on her shoulders and he was actually surprised she kept in contact with Logan after the engagement was announced.

"October," Logan answered.

"So she's what five or six months pregnant and just now decided to tell you? How much does she want," Mitchum questioned now getting extremely angry with that girl for keeping Logan away from his child. His tone and comments relaxed the men, all of them now thinking he didn't have anything to do with the predicament that Logan now found himself in.

Logan stood back up and paced the floor. "I just found out yesterday but not through her," he stated resigned.

The look on Mitchum's became icier and he looked ready to yell again so Finn quickly jumped in. "I saw her at a café and went to talk to her. She wasn't happy to see me, but I sat down anyway, and we talked some. I mentioned Logan and she became hostile which caught me off guard and then she stood up to leave. I noticed she was pregnant; I was in shock and asked why she hadn't told Logan. She told me that his lawyers had made it perfectly clear to hew how he felt about the situation and left."

"Lawyers?" Mitcum boomed cutting Finn off. "What the hell did you do? You carried around with this woman for years, even after you were engaged then you knock her up and decide to not man up!"

"I had nothing to do with the lawyers! I am not you!" Logan yelled as he spun around to face his father, anger shinning in his eyes. "Does everyone think I'm that much of a bastard that I could go after her like that? Finn called and told me he saw her and she was pregnant, I came down from New York, and then Finn and I went to talk to her, she's living in the Gilmore mansion. She tried to slam the door in my face, but I was able to make it into the house. I asked her why she didn't tell me, and she said something about lawyers that I didn't understand. She walked into Richard's old office and we followed; she was upset. When she finally pulled herself together, she picked up a folder of documents and threw them at me." Colin then handed Mitchum the other folder. "We didn't talk much; I was in shock when I saw what was in the folder. Her father showed up and she left the room leaving us with him."

When Logan paused Colin quickly jumped in. "I recognize the law firm. It's the same one I have been working with on the pre-nup."

"You never saw this letter?" Mitchum asked picking up the email and Logan shook his head no. "So, presumably Odette got ahold of this and made sure you never saw it? Then Odette's lawyers went to pay her a visit and gave her these documents?" Mitchum took a drink studying Logan not sure what to say next.

Logan deflated and walked back over to the chair he was previously sitting in. He placed his head in his hands and took a few deep breaths, no one saying a word as he tried to compose himself. "After she received those," he said and gestured to the papers she was admitted to the hospital and put on bed rest. I don't know for how long… During my visit tonight, after she left the study and I was talking to Chris she started screaming. We ran upstairs and she was laying in bed curled up in a ball." Logan's voice cracked and he started crying. "An ambulance was called… she… she's in the hospital right now."

Logan's words caused both Mitchum and Colin to gasp. "Why aren't you with her at the hospital?" Mitchum asked, he knew Logan always loved Rory and he never understood why they never made their relationship public years ago. Then he let Shira push Odette, Mitchum went along with it since he would get some papers he had been looking to acquire and Logan never mentioned Rory to them. What he didn't understand now was how Logan was standing in front of him and not at the hospital with the woman carrying his child.

Logan took a few deep breaths before answering. "Chris was pissed, told me to stay away from Rory until I figured all that out," he sighed as he gestured to the papers. "There were threats about using the Hayden and Gilmore names to keep me and my family away from Rory and the baby. After the ambulance left Finn and I spoke to one of women who work at the mansion. She was the one that told us about Rory being in the hospital and the bedrest when I pressed for more information, she wouldn't tell us, told me that she wouldn't tell me anything. She also told us that about a week after the lawyers were there an older blonde woman that obviously had a few plastic surgeries came to the house looking for Rory. When she was informed that Rory was in the hospital the woman seemed happy and said she was glad that the problem was already taken care of."

Mitchum raised his eyebrows, "Did she say the woman's name?" Logan and Finn both shook their heads no and Mitchum picked up his drink and took a sip. "Your mother was the one who originally pushed hard for you to marry Odette. They had met at some fundraiser and your mother loved her. If she is involved... I will not be happy if she was keeping a child away from you or a grandchild from me."

The room lapsed into silence for a few moments each thinking about the events of the day.

"What are you going to do now?" Mitchum finally asked, voicing the same question Colin and Finn also had.

"I want to storm the hospital," Logan sighed wearily. "But I know Chris would put up a fight and I don't want to cause Rory any more stress. But its killing me to not know what it happening with her or my kid. I just found out about the baby…" He rubbed a hand across his face trying to control his emotions, the stress of the day weighing heavily on him. "But I know I need to figure this out before I can go to her. You need to let me move back here."

Mitchum nodded and glanced back at the papers. "We promote Marshall in London to take your spot effective immediately. He was already involved in most things as your second." He leaned back in his chair, "now we need to figure out how to handle Odette and Shira." The four men contemplated what to do when Mitchum suddenly spoke again. "Did you say Hayden?" he asked seemingly out of the blue.

Logan leaned back in his chair and sighed, wishing this night was done. "Yes," he stated, "but I didn't realize she was one of those Hayden's until tonight when the employee said Francine Hayden had been visiting."

"Did she keep her father a secret from you?" Mitchum asked curious. Knowing she was a Hayden could have possibly affected the way they behaved years ago. She was a pure blueblood and between the Hayden and Gilmore money she was bound to be a very wealthy young lady.

"I met Chris after Rory moved in with me. She never really talked about him, the had a rocky relationship and he was in and out of her life. I didn't know he was a Hayden until he and Lorelai got married but I never realized he was one of those Hayden's." Logan let out a humorless laugh. "I should have figured it out since Chris is the one who paid for Yale after she returned." He rubbed his hand back over his face and leaned forward so his forearms rested against his legs. "The only thing she ever told me about her paternal grandparents was that she had only seen them a handful of times none of the times pleasant, they told her she was a mistake and she was the reason Chris never lived up to his potential."

"Okay," Mitchum stated as he banked that information; it may be useful later when Rory's pregnancy and the fact that Logan was the father came out. "So, I have a plan to discover Odette and Shira's involvement in this…"

The men planned and plotted to arrange the pending ambush the next day. None of the men felt the slightest remorse for what the had planned. For Finn and Colin the two women deserved everything they were planning for sending a woman they considered to the hospital and causing her to possibly love their unborn niece or nephew. Logan wanted revenge for them keeping him away from Rory and his child. For him no punishment could be enough to compensate for the pain and anger he was currently feeling. Mitchum just wanted to inflict as much pain as possible for their greed and calculation. No one messes with a Huntzberger and gets away unscathed.
