Icy Clause
Krampus soared through the air. This was almost the second time that he had to do this world, right?
He could have sworn he had been in this world at the exact same Christmas and the exact same world.
He did use this to his advantage though, going through the same movements was definitely better than having to use the sliver of omnipotence he had.
Yeah this was pretty much the same.
Sure he's dealt with timelines that were so close they could have been the same place bar one particular thing, but as of now he just couldn't find it.
He'd really have to make sure to not leave right away though. Cause he was sure that he had to witness a new Santa.
Right about now Pasquin was going to be wrapping up his final run as Santa, shame he had to go, but things had to keep going and his fall was one of the things that was certain.
He was sure that he had enough time. Though he didn't think things would start without him.
He was rounding around Toronto when his watch went off, signalling him that he'd indeed stayed long enough time to make it for the new Claus to take on the coat. He was confused as he had expected it to happen a few minutes later.
Oh well, that's what happens when you decide to go off memory and the stories of others rather than omnipotence.
He jetted off to the home of the two Calvins, ready for what he expected to happen, but surprise at what did.
He was late.
Pasquin was already on the ground and gone. Though it wasn't Scott and Charlie that was with the fallen Santa.
What greeted him was what looked like Jack Frost, now fastening the belt of the suit. On the ground next a snowman was what looked like Scott, just as Santa, and what looked like an ice statue.
He landed just as Frost had fastened the belt and Scott had sat up. Jack laughed as a golden glow of sparkles surrounded him, until he was gone. Krampus looked over to Santa, who had just poofed away in a small sprinkle of the gold sparkles.
Alright, he was confused.
He turned to the ice statue, which had been left standing and in a position of what looked like a wind up to a punch.
Krampus knew that pose, knew the reason why it was like that. He also knew why the statue looked like him, just as for why it was hollow was beyond him.
That pose was what he usually did to wind up for a punch of just strength with no holy or unholy energy or magic behind it. He was only really able to do it to people that he was 100% sure that could handle it. Like the members of the legendary council. Sure they couldn't use their powers on each other, just that his strength wasn't a power, just a natural feature.
He really didn't have the energy to deal with this. Thank Dad there was a note on the ground.
"Jack's scheme worked for once. Let it happen and things will suck for a while but will be alright in the long run. You won't really experience it until it happens."
-Krampus
Thanks a lot self, really tried to make yourself sound clear in this.
He really didn't want to know the implications of "worked for once" cause Frost had almost always been planning something. Though nowadays it was mainly just some publicity stunt he tried to impress people with.
With that he was gone, unaware of what was to meet him later down the line.
At least this version of him.
Right as he left there was the signature sound of a body falling into the snow that occurred.
A very confused and angry Krampus sat up from the snow and shattered the icy replica of himself.
Yeah he was angry.
He just got here and now he has to spend a couple of years here waiting for the original Scott to show up. Cause with Jack in charge he's gonna have to wait until all those years are up, cause according to Jack's first action as a Claus, "We'll open up the Pole and make it so that it's Christmas every day."
Yeah sure sounds nice but that just gets Krampus stuck here until Santa Scott gets dropped off into the time stream over a decade later.
