Auggie and Renee-4
A/N- This event was mentioned by Cerise in Chapter 4 of The Wererat.
Cerise was setting up the table to study with her friends. They planned a few days ahead that they would study for the math test. It was their second test before the mid-term. She was given the night off the restaurant to study.
She wore her hair in a high side ponytail on the right side with a green butterfly clip. She wore a black shirt with pink stripes and dark navy jeans with a brown belt.
After everything was set up she heard a knock on the door. She answered it and found Gemini, Tony, and Francois at the door. They were all holding their notebooks
"Hey, Cece…"
Hey guys, Where's Rafael? Cerise typed in her translator.
"He couldn't come…" Gemini answered.
"He preferred to study alone…getting away from a certain somebody" Gemini punched Francois on the arm, making him laugh
"Shut up Francois…" Gemini fought back.
"How are the twins doing?" Tony asked Cerise. Cerise gave him a thumbs up.
I forgot to go get my notebook, I'll be back Cerise gently raced upstairs. Her twin siblings were asleep, so she had to be quiet.
When she got to her room, She grabbed her backpack from the edge of her bed and looked through for her notebook and her notes.
"Cece…" a small voice moaned. Cerise turned to see her little brother in his PJs looking pale and a hand to his head. "I don't feel so good, my head hurts and my tummy hurts too…"
I'll get you some medicine okay? Auggie nodded his head Cerise got her backpack and gently picked up Auggie and carried him downstairs. Tony and Gemini caught sight of the two of them
"Hey, Auggie…" Gemini gently greeted him. Auggie gently waved back at her. Tony noticed something was wrong
"Hey What's wrong buddy?" Tony asked, concerned.
He's sick… Cerise said in her translator
"Oh no…" Gemini covered her mouth
"We'll help you get some medicine okay…" Francois scoffed
"What for...I have the perfect home remedy for this…" Francois looked around in the kitchen
"What are you looking for?" Tony asked, crossing his arms.
"My grandmother did this trick with me when I was sick…" Francois dug some more and a smile went across his face. "AHA...Wine…"
"Wine? You kidding me right?" Gemini had her hands on her hips.
"Nope...Good ol' granny told me that if you have a hurting head or a hurting gut...Wine will make it better…" Francois started to pour some in a glass.
"What kind of grandmother did you have?" Tony asked.
"I have 3 little brothers and even I wouldn't use this trick…" Gemini added.
Francois...I appreciate you...but we can look for medicine for Auggie…
"Cerise...sweetie this is medicine...it helps treat wounds and the digestive system…" Francois approached Cerise, who still held Auggie with the glass of wine. It was full to the tip and the drink was a deep red.
"And where did you read this…" Gemini rubbed her eyes were her sunset orange shirt.
"The great wonders of the internet…" Francois then handed the glass to Auggie. "Okay...Down the hatch" Francois helped Auggie drink the wine. Once the glass was empty, Auggie gave a small hiccup.
"So...How do you feel?" Francois asked
"I...I feel better...Thank you…" then Auggie gave another hiccup.
"And you guys were doubting my methods…"
Cerise then looked at her brother who had his eyes half open and it showed that he was tipsy. She quickly took Auggie back to his room where Renee was still sleeping. She gently tucked Auggie into his bottom bunk and gave him his teddy bear
"Hi, Mr. Fluffster...How are you today…" Auggie drunkenly said.
Cerise hushed him and pointed at Renee's bunk. Auggie just giggled.
"La-la-la-la-la-la" Auggie sang. Renee went upside down and was not happy being woken up
"Auggie...Don't you know what time it is?" Renee whispered angrily
"Do you know who know lou la la lou, da dee da…" Auggie sang once more.
"Is he okay Cece?" Renee asked.
Francois suggested wine and this happened...I told him that this was a bad idea…
"Are coming down here to study Cerise?" Francois called. Cerise sighed through her nose and began to get up
"Cece...Don't leave me...I don't wanna be alone…" Auggie grabbed his sister's arm
"Cerise...We don't have all night...you know…" Cerise facepalmed and she walked
"Please don't go…"
I'll be back..okay...Renee watch your brother Cerise ordered on her translator
Renee nodded and Cerise quickly left to join her friends, to Auggie's disappointment.
The kids studied for a solid 2 hours with Cerise and Tony periodically checking on Auggie. Tony brought him some water to drink
"What's the square root of 64?" Francois asked
"Eight…" Gemini answered.
"What is the order of PEMDAS?" Tony asked
Parenthesis Exponents Multiplication Divison Addition Subtraction Cerise typed on her translator
"I think we're getting the hang of this…" Gemini took off her sunglasses and wiped her forehead.
"Alright, now for the hard stuff…Find ⅔ in a graph?" Francois told the others
The kids took out their graphing paper and Cerise found it
"2 is the rise and 3 is the run right
"No no no no...It's the other way around because 3 is how many times you go up in the Y-axis and 2 is the way you go to the right on the X-axis which is called a run…"
"Oh...I could never understand what Ms. whatshername would be saying" Gemini said
"That's cause you sleep in her class…" Francois remarked
"No...She just makes the class boring...Everything about her class is boring...She needs to ante it up a bit…"
"What does she need to ante up about it…"
As Francois and Gemini argued, It was Tony's turn to check up on Auggie. Renee kept him busy by playing a hand game called Slide
Tony smiled watching them play. "If only Mama and papa would give me little siblings just like them," He thought.
Then he trekked back down the stairs to meet Cerise
How is he…
"I think he's going okay…" Cerise smiled
"I'm just saying that She doesn't really make math fun you know...She needs to do more activities like...like how Mr. Monet would do with us…"
"Gemini that was 3rd and 4th grade...We're in the 6th grade I hope you notice…"
"Still arguing about Ms. Nitbit…" Tony sighed
"Okay...I need some opinions...Does Ms. Nitbit make math boring for us...Yes or no…"
"The way you word it is utter bull…."
"Where's your sense of fun Francois...If I'm going to pay attention to class, I need something to interest me...None of this math I'm going to remember anyway…"
"Okay, subject change...Subject change…" then the phone rang. Cerise answered the phone and placed it on speaker
Hello
Hey Cerise...We just finished our last customer for the night and we're locking up...Hope the studying is good… Alfredo asked
"Studying is going great...in fact...We're just about done…" Francois stepped in before Cerise could say anything
"Are the twins still asleep…" Colette asked over the phone.
They aren't right now...They just want to say good night to you before they go back to bed Cerise answered
"Aww...tell them We'll be home soon…" Alfredo then hung up and the kids sighed in relief
Then Francois grabbed his things and walked towards the front door
"Well friends, I think Study Session went pretty well. Then suddenly liquid dripped onto Francois and they all looked at each other and up the stairs and saw a tipsy Auggie urinating on Francois's head. He was leaning over the rail, moaning, and rubbed his eyes, the alcohol slowly wearing off of him.
Gemini covered her mouth and snickered. Tony and Cerise were the only worried ones
"Oh no…" Tony muttered. Then Francois was drenched in pee from the head to the shoulders and was really upset
"I told you wine wasn't a good idea…" Gemini laughed at him. Then this made Francois pissed off
"I'm gonna kill you kid…" Francois looked up and yelled at Auggie
"Uh oh…" Cerise and tony rushed upstairs while Gemini pushed Francois out the door and quickly locked the door.
Tony quickly pulled up Auggie's pajama pants and Cerise quickly tucked in Renee
"Francois is really mad…" Renee warned the two tweens
I know Rey...It's best not to let Francois near Auggie for a while… Cerise typed
"Is he really gonna kill me…" Auggie asked as he was being tucked back into bed by Cerise
"No, he isn't...He tends to be all talk…" Tony rolled his eyes. This made the twins giggle
Cerise smiled seeing Tony bond with the twins. Then Cerise dropped her notes and Tony rushed to pick them up and they touched hands. Their eyes meet and they smiled, their cheek grew red. Auggie and Renee see this and they look up at each other.
"Hey...I managed to get rid of him...He said that he was going to take the bus home…" Gemini rushed into the twins' room. "Auggie, don't worry about it...the three of us will clean it up
"I'm so sorry…" Auggie clung to his teddy bear. The 3 tweens looked at him
"Don't be...It was actually kind of funny...You should've seen his face…" Gemini laughed.
"Your parents are going to be home any minute...What are we going to do?" Tony faced Cerise.
We'll tell them what happened together, I'm sure they won't be too mad at Auggie.
"Sounds like a good idea...I'll clean this up…" Gemini walked out of the room
"We'll go with you…" Tony and Cerise faced the twins and Cerise went to say goodnight. Cerise kissed Renee goodnight, making her smile in her sleep.
Good night Auggie. Cerise kissed his head.
"Don't forget Mr. Fluffster…" Auggie reminded her. Cerise smiled and kissed Mr. Fluffster's head and left the room. It was Tony's turn to say goodnight.
"Good night Tony…" Auggie said. Tony ruffled his curly brown hair, making the little boy giggle. "Tony...Do you like Cece…" Auggie asked
"Of course...She's my friend…"
"Not like that silly…" Renee popped in. "Do you love her...Like her prince charming?"
Tony blushed and scratched his blonde hair. He looked where the twin's sister left and sighed lovingly
"Okay...You guys got me...I do love her" Tony admitted
The twins squealed seeing that their sister now has a love interest. Tony quickly hushed them
"This is between us okay…" the twins nodded eagerly. Tony kissed Renee goodnight and left the light dim and left to join the girls.
By the time they were done cleaning up the pee and the living room and packing up their stuff, the phone rang again and Alfredo told them that they were going to be home in 2 minutes.
"It still smells like pee…" Gemini covered her nose
"We should get some perfume and spray the room…" Tony suggested.
Cerise ran into her room and grabbed her perfume Colette got her for Christmas and ran downstairs and spray the room really quickly
Then Alfredo and Colette came in the door.
"Hey guys…" the couple said
"Hey, Mr. and Ms. Linguini…" Tony and Gemini replied while cerise waved at them. Then Colette began to sniff
"Why does it smell like pee?" The three kids looked at each other with worried expressions
"We can explain…" the kids say.
