Shido's house:

It's 6:30 in the morning, and the four people or perhaps 4 supernatural beings are sitting in the dining table. They're finishing up their morning meal that Shido made, and all of them wore a satisfying expression in their faces while munching at the egg omelet.

"Man Shido, I'll never get tired of your cooking." Dante with a muffled voice, nomming the omelet.

"I'm glad you enjoy it." Shido chuckled.

"So, Kotori. Who should I date next?" Dante asked.

"You're going out with Yoshino today." Kotori replied, wearing her black ribbons.

The demon hunter spit out his food towards Vergil's direction. With a sharp sense, the elder son of Sparda quickly evade the slimy projectile that's heading his way.

"Watch where you spitting, or I'll shove my sword through your mouth!" Vergil fumed.

Ignoring his elder brother, Dante looks at Kotori with wide eyes.

"Yoshino?!... Isn't she a little too young to date a grown man?! I'll get arrested for my father sake!" Dante exclaimed.

"That's why I want you and Vergil to come to Fraxinus later… Ratatoskr built a machine, and I want the both of you to be the test subject." Kotori said.

"So, you're turning us into lab rats?!" Vergil said.

"I wouldn't say that, cause the machine wouldn't do any harm to you." Kotori explained, scratching the back of his head and shot them with an unreasonable smile.

"What so special about this machine anyway?" Dante suddenly spoke up.

"You'll soon find out." Kotori smirked.

Fraxinus:

After eating some breakfast, all of them went on their separate ways. Shido went to school with Tohka today while the brothers are getting ready for the day. For Kotori though, she already board Fraxinus. She's walking on the hallway of the ship towards the direction of the research facility, her shoes are light clanging noise when it met the metal floor.

Like usual, she's wearing her white uniform with a red coat over it and her black ribbons while a lollipop is stuck in her mouth.

"Is it ready?" Kotori entered through the automated door of the research facility.

"Almost commander, just need to fix some few codes." One of the crew replied.

"Hurry up, the brothers will be here soon!" Kotori demanded.

The research facility is filled with some machines that are still in progress, but there is one machine that Ratatoskr prioritized.

Kotori quickly glanced behind her when she heard the automated sliding door slid open, revealing Dante and Vergil accompanied by Reine.

"Hey, we're here!" Dante happily said.

"What are these strange machineries?" Vergil glance around the room.

"This is Ratatoskr's minor research facility, and this machines here are some of their small to medium projects... Most of the larger projects are built in the main building." Kotori explained, crossing her arms with a smile.

"Hmm…Engrossing." Vergil commented.

"So, Kotori, where's the machine that you mentioned earlier?" Dante suddenly spoke up.

Kotori points her finger on the machine that has a shape of a capsule with one door that has a small square window in the middle. One of the crew opens the door, revealing a small white room but not too small that a 6 feet human being can't fit in.

"What does it do?" Dante said.

"Well, what I like to tell you first is that I've gathered some samples of Kurumi's spirit power after her fight with your brother, I've gathered her bullets when Vergil's body pushed out all of it."

"Next… I asked Natsumi to give me a small portion of her powers for experiment. After that, the top scientist of Ratatoskr combined nightmare and witch's spirit powers, making an artificial sephira crystal that we are now using on this machine."

Kotori pointed at the top of the machine; the brothers saw a diamond shaped crystal shining brightly. Its colors are switching from red to green, because of the combined powers of two spirits.

"With this machine using their powers, it can reverse your age and transform you into the younger version of yourself for… hmmm… 24 hours, maybe." She put a finger under her chin.

"Younger?!... Oh yeah! I'm in!" Dante walked towards the machine until he got drag back.

"Hold it! Don't get too excited mister!" Kotori pulled him by the back collar of his coat.

"We need to wait for the code to be uploaded, or else you'll turn into a newborn baby." She added.

"Alright, alright." Dante showing a little disappointment on his face.

"Don't keep rushing blindly Dante, this is why you keep receiving a lot of misfortune in your life." Vergil said with a mocking tone.

"And whose fault is that exactly?" Dante looks at him, raising one eyebrow.

*Cricket sound. *

"…Well, not everything is my fault." Vergil coughed in his hand.

Suddenly, a single beep sound was heard. All the people inside the room turn their heads towards the machine, and they saw the light bulb at the top of the door entrance turned green.

"Code complete! … Commander, the machine is ready!" The crew from previously said.

"Alright Dante, since you were the one who is so excited, how about you go fi-" Kotori gesturing to the demon hunter.

Dante quickly heads inside the machine before Kotori can finish her sentence, receiving an annoyed glare from the fire spirit. Reine closed the door behind him and gestured to the crew that everything is all set. For Vergil, he just stands back and watch how this whole thing will unfold.

"We're all set! Fire the machine on my mark!... 3… 2… 1… And fire!" Kotori ordered.

One of the crew pulled a lever, and the machine started making a spaceship sound with yellow lights emitting inside the capsule. Dante who's looking through the small window of the door got engulfed with light.

"I'm starting to think this is a bad idea!" Dante cried out before his voice got muffled.

Meanwhile, outside the capsule…

"You don't seem to worry about your brother?"

Kotori glanced at Vergil who is keeping a close eye at the machine.

"It will take more than just a basic machinery to kill him… I stabbed and stomped him on the chest when we were just kids. Look, the fool is still walking today." Vergil replied bluntly.

"Uhh… okay…" Kotori took a few inches step away from him, his statement is playing inside her head.

After getting rid of the thoughts, she looks at the monitor that is connected to the machine. The gauge is increasing to 98%… 99%… and then 100%. The monitor's gauge meter turned into a large green check, signaling the crew that the process has been completed.

Kotori nodded to Reine, telling her to let Dante out of the capsule.

The insomniac lady walked in front of the door, turning the handle down before slowly pulling the door open. Thick white smoke escaped out of the capsule covering the floor of the room, it's like you went hiking in the mountains during winter months.

All broaden eyes are focused on the entrance of the machine. Kotori who is the most curious one in the room is leaning her head close, she's waiting for Dante to come out and also praying that this experiment is not an utter failure.

*Cough! Cough! *

"I… I should've think twice… before volunteering."

A familiar, yet young teenager voice spoke up from the smoke.

When all the smoke cleared out, the people inside the ship saw Dante's form, he looks like he is in the age of 18 or 19. The clothing also changed; he's wearing a long tan- colored jeans, black fingerless gloves, his boots are still the military boots that he wore from his previous form. He also lost his clothing underneath his coat, revealing his six packs, his coat is still red, but it has zippers on the sleeves and a buckle around the waist while two brown leather holsters on the back carrying his pistols, Ebony & Ivory. His hair is different than before, his bangs are covering his eyes unlike on his older form.

"Ugh…" Dante stepped out of the machine groggily.

"What're you all looking at me like?" Dante asked with an annoy look.

"It works!" Kotori squealed, but quickly regain her composure.

"Why do I feel… so different?" Dante said.

Dante glance around the room, searching for a mirror. He saw of what looks like a two-way mirror, he walks over there and he was thunderstruck when he saw a different person facing him from the mirror

"Shit my ass! …I look 26 years younger!" He blurted out, flexing his six packs.

Just outside the two-way mirror, three people are watching the unaware demon hunter.

"This weird guy is Yoshino's date?" Natsumi unamused.

"He isn't that bad; I mean, he looks like a fun guy." Kaguya said with a chuckle.

"Agree. Remember, I'm the first one who dated him… I think Yoshino will enjoy hanging out with him." Yuzuru added.

"Hope so…" Natsumi sighed.

A few hours later…

"Alright Dante, Yoshino is in the shrine… Are you ready to head out?" Kotori said.

"Ready as I'll ever be commander." Dante replied with a confident smirk.

"Brace yourself!" Kotori pushed a button in her chair and the demon hunter got engulfed with a bright yellow light before vanishing from sight.

The Shrine…

"You think he's going to come Yoshinon?"

Yoshino is sitting in one of the benches of the Shrine, holding her bunny puppet in front her face with her left hand.

"Of course, he's going to come! Are you nervous?" The rabbit asked.

"A-A little… Okay, maybe a lot!" Yoshino squeak.

"Yoshi yoshi~… You don't have to be nervous; I mean you go on dates with Shido right? So, what is there to be nervous about?" Yoshinon patted her head.

"W-Well that's Shido… and Dante is well… Dante. This is my first time dating a new person… And also, he's an old man!" Yoshino exclaimed; her eyes begins to tremble.

"You're taking this date too serious you know? This is just a date between friends, it's not like you're going to kiss him or something." The rabbit tries to reason with her.

"Don't say that! He might hear you!" Yoshino exclaimed.

"Geez… just calm down a bit would ya? Dante's a nice guy, he won't do anything to hurt you… If he does, I'm here to protect ya!" Yoshinon comforted her friend.

"I guess you're right, thanks Yoshinon." Yoshino sighed.

"Hey I'm here!"

A random teenager boy with white hair came running down in front of them.

"Sorry I'm late!" The boy gasped; his hands are on his knees.

Kotori seems to transfer Dante in a location far from the shrine.

"And you are?" Yoshinon asked.

"What? Don't recognize me? … It's me, Dante!" Dante exclaimed.

Facing up, he got confused when a rabbit stuff toy or puppet filled his vision. He realized that Yoshino is the one controlling it, so he decided to play along with her.

"You're too young to be Dante… The Dante I know is old and looks like he hasn't slept for a year!" Yoshinon teased.

"Isn't that a little too much?!" Dante glared at the rabbit.

"Well, if you're really Dante… Then prove it?"

"Alright then little rabbit, if that's what you want."

Red and black auras gathered up all around Dante's body. Within a few seconds, hellfire consumed him with a mighty blast of demonic energy…

*BOOM!*

*ROAR!*

Dante transformed into his demonic form, flames raging around him like wild fire. Yoshino's eyes widened, not because of Dante's sudden transformation, but because of Yoshinon got sent rocketing through the sky like a missile.

"Y-Yoshinon?!" Yoshino stared with sorrowful eyes at the direction of where her puppet flew off.

Realizing what he did, the younger son of Sparda quickly turns back into his normal form before quickly rushing up to her. He saw her lower lips starts to tremble, and tears slid down her cheeks.

"H-Hey! Don't cry, look it's me Dante! …See?" Dante tries to comfort her.

*RING!*

Dante flinched at the loud sound in his right ear. He turned around before pressing the earpiece. He flinched again when...

"DANTE HOW MANY TIMES DO I HAVE TO TELL YOU STOP USING YOUR POWERS IN PUBLIC?!"

"Geez! …I'm just having a little fun!" He yelled back softly.

"Little fun?! … Look what you did to Yoshino you jerk!" Kotori screamed from the earpiece.

Dante glanced back at Yoshino which she looks at him back with those cute big teary eyes, much like a baby's eyes turning wide when they're scared or showing some nervousness towards a person. He felt the temperature around them dropped. Suddenly, she let out a piercing cry that brought forth an icy disaster around them. The ice came crawling through the ground, the benches, the trees, until it reaches the shrine; covering the whole temple with thick layers of ice.

"Oh shit!" Dante mumbled before clearing his throat.

"I-I could just cheer her up? She's just a kid after all." Dante said quietly.

"Don't get your hopes up, Yoshino will only calm down if you bring Yoshinon back." Kotori replied.

"Huh? Yoshinon?"

Dante looks at Yoshino's left hand, realizing now the puppet was Yoshinon. He always saw her with that puppet but he didn't judge her for it though, instead he finds it really cute.

"Ohhh, the puppet." Dante said quietly. "So, I just need to find it?"

"Yup."

"Fine. I'll go look for it." Dante agreed.

"Good, now before I go. Don't call Yoshinon a puppet in front of Yoshino, got it?!" Kotori sternly said before cutting the call.

Dante sighed and kneeled down in front of Yoshino.

"Hey Yoshino, sorry about earlier." Dante said sheepishly.

He just received a sobbing reply.

"Come on, I'll search for Yoshinon. But I couldn't do it alone, you know?"

He brings the timid spirit face to look at him, he wipes away the tears from her eyes and patted her head, bringing a little comfort to her.

She smiled a little and nodded.

The ice all around them begins to melt slowly, causing Dante to look all around him in amazement.

"Huh? That's really interesting." Dante said to himself as he watched the last bit of ice vanished.

"U-Ummm… Dante? Can I ask you something?"

He got disturbed from his thought when he heard a soft voice.

"Yeah, what is it?" He glanced at the spirit.

"Why you look so young?" Yoshino cocked her head.

"O-Oh, this? …Well, earlier this morning, I was helping Kotori with her little experiment. She and her crew are testing some machine, and she turned me into her test subject… The last thing I know, I'm back to my younger self." Dante explained whilst chuckling nervously.

"But this body will only last just for one day." He added, feeling disappointed. "But oh well, might as well enjoy it while it last."

Both of them walk side by side, they begin to descend down the stairs of the shrine. Four fox statues facing each other decorated up floor and down floor, this statue gives good fortune to people who pray in this shrine.

"Dante, why did you change your age?" Yoshino suddenly spoke up.

"Aren't you weirded out going on a date with a man in his 40's?" Dante chuckled.

"I was bothered by it ever since Kotori said it… But lately, Yoshinon told me that this is just a date between friends. So, I don't find it weird anymore."

Yoshino replied sheepishly, trying to hide her blushing face using her floppy hat decorated with a blue ribbon and a daisy flower.

*Ring! Ring! *

Dante pressed the earpiece.

"Dante, we've located Yoshinon." Kotori suddenly speak up from the earpiece

"Really? Where?"

It's in the roof top of Raizen high school, I'll give you the location through your phone so you don't get lost on your way there." Kotori said before cutting the call.

Dante's phone rung inside the pocket of his jeans. He took out his phone to see a notification of a map that was sent to him by Kotori, he opened the notification and he got met by a smiling chibi Kotori head as an icon with a blue line that leads the way to Raizen high school.

"Hmph! Cute…" Dante commented.

"Kotori sent us Yoshinon's location." Dante said with a light tone.

Yoshino's eyes lit up, and a warm smile crept in her face which made Dante's heart melt.

Both he and Yoshino followed the blue line that's leading them. Every time they took a step, Kotori's chibi icon also moves.

"Dante? Where is she?"

"Kotori said about a rooftop of Raizen high school." Dante shows the map.

"Oh, I know that place!"

"Really? …Do you go to that school?"

"Me? I… I don't go to school because I can't stand being surrounded by so many people who I don't know… But the others go there though." The timid said, and hide her face using her hat. She's kinda embarrassed because of her poor excuse of not going to school.

For Dante though, he's getting dazzled by her cute shy personality.

"You don't need to embarrassed about it, school is not for everyone you know?" Dante chuckled.

"…"

She just smiled at him adorably.

"But there are days that you should be tough and brave. Take my brother for an example… He's an introvert just like you, but he yelling at me. Brave right?"

"I think it's obvious because you are being so mean to him… I always saw you making fun of him all the time."

"That's what brothers typically do! Sometimes they do fun things and sometimes they fight… Except for the stabbing part."

"Wh-What?!" Yoshino's pupils shrunk.

"But it's fine, both of us are demons we won't die so easily. Sometimes it's becoming a habit too."

"That's really… an unhealthy habit." She squeaked.

Dante just chuckled at her remark.

The date with Yoshino is much simpler than Yuzuru's; it's just so quiet, and you can just stay loose. Also, the tone of her voice is so soft and sweet like you're listening to some ASMR video, if Dante even knows that. Compared to Vergil and Kaguya's, Dante's first and second date isn't as wild as theirs.

But the only thing different about her and Yuzuru; Yoshino doesn't talk too much while Yuzuru, she won't hesitate to do the first move.

"Hey Yoshino, not to offend you or something but why are you so attached to that puppet of yours?"

They suddenly stop on their track; Dante felt a cold breeze hit his skin. He looks at Yoshino whose hat is covering her face, the only thing that's exposed is her gritting teeth. He immediately remembered what Kotori told him not to do.

"H-Hey Yoshino! If we find Yoshinon, I could treat the both of you with some omelets!"

"O-Omelet?!"

The spirit aura around them died down, and the temperature returned back to normal. Suddenly, something caught the attention of the demon hunter, the air got filled with a growling noise of what sounds like an angry lion. His ears follow the sound and it's coming from Yoshino.

"Ummm…"

"You wanna grab something to eat?" Dante chuckled a little.

"No…"

*Stomach growling! *

And there it goes again, making Yoshino blush furiously.

"Stomachs don't lie... Let's go grab a bite first before going to the school."

Yoshino's eyes shot wide when Dante put his left arm around her, making her face heat up.

"O-Okay…!" She squeaked.

Fraxinus…

"It seems Yoshino's mood is getting stable. Respect for Dante with his fast thinking." Kotori said.

"Tomorrow, we will test the machine again, but this time with Vergil."

She looks at the half demon who is looking at the screen while his arms are crossed. Vergil look at her from the corner of his eyes and…

"No."

A simple cold reply escaped his mouth.

Kotori glared at him, and he just ignored her.

"You will do it, whether you like or not!" She demanded.

"…"

"I said you will do it!"

"…"

"Grrr! … Stop ignoring me!"

Raizen high school…

A few hours had passed, Yoshino and Dante finally arrived at the gates of Raizen high school after getting some meal from a food stand on the way here. Dante has one pizza slice with the top has been bitten off while Yoshino has a dango. After arriving, Dante's eyes are staring at the large building in front of him with an open mouth.

"Geez! You can't really tell if this is a high school or a college from how big this thing is!"

"Let's get inside, don't wanna keep Yoshinon waiting." Dante gestured at Yoshino excitingly.

He walks towards the gate only to be blocked by a large hand.

"H-Hey what gives?!"

"No outsiders!"

The guy wearing a baseball cap with a word "security" on it, said it with authority.

"Let us through!" Dante exclaimed.

"I said no!"

"We just wanted to pick something on the rooftop, we'll be quick I promise!"

"I said no outsiders, and that's final!" The guy roared at them.

"Geez! If only I had my gun with me!" Dante glared at the guard.

He suddenly felt a tug in his coat.

"Umm… Dante? Have you been to school before?" Yoshino said.

"Uhh? Haha… To be honest, nope!" Dante scratched the back of his neck.

The guard doesn't take his eyes off on the demon hunter as he and Yoshino went back.

"…*sigh! * …I guess we can't get through." Dante said in disappointment.

"Maybe we can find some way to get through? Yoshinon is all alone up there!" Yoshino said with her eyes are slowly getting teary.

Dante put a hand under his chin and closed his eyes.

"Hmmm… Maybe we can sneak inside?" Dante said quietly.

"W-We can't do that?!" Yoshino's eyes widened.

"We don't have a choice; we need to take every chance we have."

"I… I guess you're right." Yoshino sighed.

"Alright, I'll do it!"

Dante smiled at Yoshino's determination to save her friend. Even though she's kinda shy and have low self-confidence, she'll do anything in her power to protect them.

"Okay, now that's settled… Follow my lead." Dante gestured to her.

"Alright man, sorry for disturbing you on your job. We'll be going now!" Dante waves his hand at the security, which he receives a deadly glare in respond.

Dante turns around and storms away, with Yoshino desperately trying to keep up with his pace.

"Jackass." Dante mumbled.

"What was that punk?!" The guard yelled.

"Nothing, just go on your business and we'll do ours!" Dante replied as he continues to walk away down the street with Yoshino.

The demon hunter felt a poke on his shoulder. Glancing to his right, he saw the icy spirit staring at him with worry eyes. Her demon and angel inside her mind are having a war of decisions, the other one is telling her that sneaking inside the school campus is a bad thing to do; while the other one said, breaking the school rules are fine if she wants to rescue her friend.

"Are you sure this plan is gonna work out?" Yoshino said.

"Of course, it's gonna work! As long as you're with me, there's nothing to worry about."

After stating that statement, there is one demon inside Fraxinus who's shouting at the monitor "Don't trust that fool Yoshino!" like he's going to be heard by them. Dante and Yoshino took an alternate path, they went through an alley way filled with garbage from the school.

"Look over there. The wall is shorter enough to let me do an air trick, all I want you to do now is to climb my back." Dante said quietly, squatting so the spirit can reach him. Even though he turns into he's younger self, he is still quite tall.

"H-Huh?!" Yoshino's face went deep red. "I-I don't know if… if…"

"We're doing this for Yoshinon, there's nothing bad about a little piggy back."

Sighing in defeat, she forced herself to walk towards Dante's back. She steadies herself, wrapping her silky arms around his neck with her body pressed against his back. A squeak escaped her mouth when the demon hunter straighten himself with ease.

"Wow! You're lighter than I thought! …Hold on tight!" Dante warned. "Trickster!"

Yoshino's eyes went wide like a shape of a baseball went she and Dante shoot through the sky with unmeasurable speed, her hat flew off from her head and got swept by the gust of wind. She wanted to scream but no noise came out from her mouth, it's like the air is pushing her voice back inside her. In no time, they landed at the other side of the school wall with a thud and in front of them is the massive school building.

Both of them can feel the heat that the air conditioners are releasing. Thanks to their luck, the dumpster isn't producing some odor. It looks like it is empty.

"Looks like we're in a place where student shouldn't go. Are you okay Yoshino?"

"Y-Yes… Just… just a little queasy."

"You'll get used to it." Dante chuckled a little.

He kneeled down in one knee, and Yoshino's feet touched the ground while her arms lose its grip around his neck. The spirit groggily balance herself; her legs feels like spaghetti as she's still feeling the effect of the strong upward dash earlier.

"Do you know which way we should go?" Dante asked.

"T-There's an emergency exit here somewhere. Me and the others sneak in here about a week ago during our ghost hunting, we've used that door for our entrance and escape path." Yoshino replied, now recovered from her dizziness.

"Really?! I never thought you'll be joining them?!"

"I-It's not really that scary to be honest." She chuckled when she's remembering something that happened that night.

"Anyway, follow me. I know where the door is."

Dante followed behind Yoshino as they tip toed through the narrow path. The sound of the air conditioners' engine roaring is heightening the tension of getting caught. Yoshino's weary eyes are always looking behind, only to see her companion smiling at her while walking like he's in the park or something.

"You seemed very relax?" Yoshino said quietly.

"Why wouldn't I be? There's no peo-"

"Shhh! …Talk quietly or else someone will hear us!"

"I'm sure there's no one here. You worry too much; I'll tell you if I'm sensing somebody near."

She just nodded in reply.

A few moments later, they found a single door with a steel handle and a red lettering in the middle of it that wrote "Emergency exit only!".

"This is it."

Yoshino grab the handle and pulled. To her surprise, the door opened revealing a steel stair way leading up to the class building hallway. She waved his hand at Dante and they both entered before closing the door behind them gently.

"Man, it's a good thing this isn't lock. It just made this situation easier." Dante commented.

"But before we go up there, we need to make some back up plans." He added.

He begins telling Yoshino what's inside his mind and the stunt he's going to pull. The timid spirit wore a face of relief to a face of fear and surprise. He told her his plan as quietly as possible to avoid being heard by Kotori, hopefully.

"Y-You can't do that! You'll kill somebody!" Yoshino exclaimed.

"Hey! hey! Quiet down or Kotori will hear us!" He whispered sternly.

*RING! RING! *

"Oh, shoot!" He mumbled underneath his breath, pressing his earpiece.

"Hel-"

"What're you planning Dante?!" Kotori said.

"Uhhh… planning to get Yoshinon of course." He scratched the back of his head.

"I can see your movement, so don't do anything stupid inside the school or you'll get it!"

Kotori cut off the call and the earpiece went static; she's feeling suspicious about him. Inside Dante's mind though, he's thinking "why is she so hard on him than his brother?" and inside his mind came his brother's voice "Because I'm not a fool like you."

He shakes his head from the sudden voice.

"Wow, that was annoying." He chuckles.

"D-Dante?"

"Hmm?"

"Let's not waste any more time."

"Oh yeah, sorry. Let's go!"

With each step they take, the cold steel stair made a sound like someone's tapping on a can. Both of them are trying to be quiet as possible, and hoping no one will hear them trespassing. They arrived in another steel door that has a same logo like the last one.

Dante puts a hand on the handle. To his relief, the door was not sealed shut. The steel door didn't make any sounds while opening it, but they were almost caught when some school staff walked pass them.

"That was close… Yoshino, where should we go?" Dante whispered.

"Uhh… To the left." Yoshino reply.

The demon hunter and the spirit closed the door behind silently. They tip toed through the corridor while avoiding doors that have a window on it. With every room they passed, all they could hear are the teachers discussing some lessons and the voices of the students cooperating. Dante immediately saw a sign that has a stair with an arrow pointing up.

"That must be the stairs that we need to take. Let's hurry."

Both of them walk quietly towards the direction until one familiar voice and another guy's voice was heard.

"Ghost isn't real!"

"Oh, it's very real. This part of the school is haunted by a lady in black who appears every 8 o' clock during the night."
