Guilty of Humanity - Episode 16
Sami Gokdemir the very successful self made billionaire finds himself as a teenage boy in wonderment of the girl that fills his heart with what will be. The family dinner ignited all the good that his love for Hulya was in his youth. His mind is filled with questions as to what was real and what could be.
Freed from all the entanglements created by his mother Kadriye….. Sami must now look at himself and see if he is more like his son, Cemal who never once doubted his love for Suna and fought for her when all the forces were against him , including himself. His admission last night that he wants Hulya back in his life so that they can complete their life's journey, together, forces Sami to find out what Hulya wants. Sami calls Hulya
Sami: Hulya… last night was so enjoyable and I was brought back to the happiest time in my life, when I was with you … is there the slightest possibility that you would consider having lunch with just me
Hulya: Sami… Last night was very enjoyable for me to…. We were able to see what our family life could have been, but it was not…. Twenty five years of misery is much to forget
Sami: Yet twenty five years of misery for both of us didn't destroy that love that we had…. When you told me that I wasn't alone … you opened your heart once again to me … give me the chance to show you my heart once again… you have never left it…. This isn't a conversation that can be done over the phone …. I have to see your eyes and you have to see mine…. Let us both see if their still is hope for us …. Cemal and Suna are showing us who we were back then…. If you're not willing I will understand …. But if you are… I will make up for my past failings.
Hulya: I will try… but let me be perfectly clear….. don't try to impress me with your wealth… I fell in love with the Sami that was not the Sami that is
Sami: I understand …. I will pick you up at noon
As Hulya hangs up the phone, Esra begins to ask Hulya questions
Esra: Mother…. What was that all about , you and Uncle Sami talking again
Hulya: last night brought back memories that have been closed for many years
Esra: I, too have to admit, last night's dinner was even different than when Father was alive… there was happiness last night … Cemal and Suna made everyone want to be them…. They are so much in love and they show it
Hulya: Sami and I were once like Cemal and Suna , before Kadriye destroyed everything
Esra: are you giving Uncle Sami another chance
Hulya: only time will tell
Meanwhile at the Executive offices of Gokdemir Holdings, Suna instructs Cemal's secretary, that Cemal is not to be disturbed for the next next hour and closes his door behind her. Cemal asks
Cemal: sweetheart…. What are you doing
Suna : I've decided to implement my new Cemal diet, since you think I'm getting fat
Cemal : I don't think your fat… What's a Cemal diet , you've got my attention

Cemal: The house isn't that important to me… I will live wherever you're happy , that's what is important
Suna: He is right about the house… as long as we are running this company ….. we will need that place to showcase the company and those we do business with. I was invited to many company events that were done in that house…. It's absolutely beautiful and the grounds are large enough that when we have children they can play and most importantly be safe and secure. After this last incident with those mobsters …. I will never feel safe for us and for our children….. Our children will be our number one priority
Cemal: Are you saying we should move in and at least try it
Suna: Father Sami will be thrilled to have us and if he and Mother Hulya do get together , they will be traveling the world
Cemal : one person you haven't mentioned lately….. your mother… What will we do about her…. You know as well as I do , that once we are living in the mansion…. She will be asking to live there….. I will accept whatever you decide… she is your mother
Suna: Why did you have to mention her … I will have to think about it and see how it plays out … she will drive us both crazy…. But she is my mother and I'm responsible for her
Sami goes to Hulya and Esra's new house to pick her up for lunch. Once in the car Hulya begins with her concerns
Hulya: Sami….. be honest with me … what do you want to happen with this … do we just forget the twenty five years …. Our youth is gone forever
Sami: Truth be told, I never stopped loving you … my shame and my guilt made me bury you deep within my heart especially when I had thought I lost you forever with my brother. When I looked into your eyes at the funeral… I saw the same Hulya , I loved and continue to love and my heart opened up once more. The more I'm with Cemal and Suna , the more I see us once again. Why can't our remaining years be that we are together.
Hulya: What of your mother…. Her vendetta against me will never stop
Sami: My mother no longer has a say in matters of my heart and my family…. If she chooses to continue as she has she has lost her other son for good. The only two people that will have a say into our being together will be you and I.
Sami parks the car by the coast where all the Cart food vendors are at and they get out and walk to see which type of food they will eat.
Hulya: with all your riches… you still haven't changed in your appetite for Adana food.
Sami: I could have brought you to the best that Istanbul has to offer, but I also know that you would have been very uncomfortable…. Even though your presence would have enhanced those establishments. I decided to come here in order to return us to where we started… You're still as beautiful as you always were.
Hulya: you're still the charmer as you always were…. Do we continue to talk of the past or do we talk of the present and our beautiful children. Until last night I didn't realize that it was you that brought Suna to Cemal's universe. I was so against that girl in the beginning, thinking that she would break Cemal's heart … How wrong I was she is the best for Cemal and you brought her to him
Sami: this first time I met Suna she was such a sweet, pure, innocent girl that reminded me so much of you that I decided that she would be the best for Gokhan. Gokhan was so undeserving of her , but I made it mandatory for him. Unlike Cemal whom immediately saw, what I saw in Suna , that no one was going to take her away from him once she gave her heart to him. Now that they are married it's a dream come true for me that Suna is married to my son.
Hulya: she loves Cemal as much as I loved you …. There wasn't anything I wouldn't have done for you….. Like Suna said last night….. having children with Cemal is the most important thing for her since a child together keeps their love forever…. I felt the someway that night in the old workshop , when we conceived Cemal…. Our love would last forever.
Sami: we keep talking we will not eat and the food here is great… They get some delicious sandwiches and eat as they continue walking. I have to ask you… will you hold my wealth against me…. What I mean is that I have the means to be able to do what ever we would want to do, but you have resented that I became wealthy.
Hulya: Sami you chose getting wealthy insted of coming back to me… Yes I resented all your money , because I lost you for it. You were my everything and you left me Sami… you left me with only our son to hold onto. I held onto Cemal because that was the only way I could hold on to you
Sami: I'm sorry I made you relive that, now I understand , what I haven't all these years. I promise. I'll make it up to you if you will let me
Hulya takes Sami's hand and grasps it. : Sami the emotions of last night and today are over whelming … you've experienced great tragedy these past months …. You're alone and you don't like being alone….. Am I just to releave your lonelyness.
Sami: Let's be clear … Emel was my escape from loneliness from you….. The whole time we were married she always accused me of wanting to be with you. You are not to be used for my loneliness… you are to fill my happiness , our family's happiness. Hulya , I want you back with me because that is where you belong …. I've never stopped loving you and I've always wanted you as my wife ….. you always were and will always be my happiness and the only love I've ever had.
Hulya: We've made so many mistakes these past twenty five years I don't want this to be another….. let's give each other a chance to breath...family dinners, lunches , talks , walks whatever we need to do. If we find that we can't be without the other, then we will marry and we both will know that this is how it was meant to be
Sami: Can I kiss you

Sami and Hulya give their first kiss in twenty five years.
Sami: after you left last night…. I asked Cemal and Suna to live in the mansion and treat it as their own… since I was going to devote my time in getting you back with me and then we would travel the world.
Hulya: One thing I'm certain, I do not want to ever live in that mansion… if we should marry, I want a home that will be uniquely ours
Sami: Absolutely… I will tell Banu to start looking … What a difference 24 hours have made.
As Sami is returning Hulya back to her home, he receives a call from Suna
Suna: Father Sami, Cemal left the decision about the mansion up to me, even though I think the mansion is to extravagant for us, it is what we will need as long as Cemal is in charge of the company. Therefore we will move in.
Sami: Suna dear… make what ever changes you want to the master suite , make it to where you and Cemal will be comfortable.
Suna: Father Sami, that's your suite
Sami: Dear, if everything goes according to plan I will be moving out very shortly
Suna: You don't have to answer if you don't want to, but have you and mother Hulya reconciled
Hearing that comment, Hulya grabs Sami's phone and answers: daughter, you have such instincts, yes we are working in that direction
Suna: Mother Hulya, I'm so happy for both of you…. Outside of Cemal, Father Sami is the best man I've ever known …. I love you both … we are becoming a real family… Can I tell Cemal
Hulya: daughter, like you would keep this from Cemal
Suna laughing: This is one news I can't wait to tell him…. I love you….. see you soon.
Suna unable to control her excitement about this news , rushes into Cemal's office and closes the door behind her. Cemal looking at her strangely asks: Cemal diet again
Suna: no silly….. I couldn't wait to tell you what I just found out
Cemal: What did you find out and why are you so excited
Suna: your mom and dad have decided to reconcile and they will be looking for a place of their own. Father Sami, told me to redecorate the master suite to our liking , because he will be moving out shortly. Mother Hulya, then got on the phone to tell me that they are working on remaining together….. Cemal our family will be whole once again.
Cemal: I've got call my mother….. this isn't like her to rush into anything
Cemal calls Hulya
Cemal: Mother , Suna is so excited about this news of you and my father … I had to confirm for myself
Hulya: Your father and I have had a very interesting conversation and we've decided that we've wasted twenty five years to find each other , that now is the time to actually do it. Cemal, I've always made you special because you were Sami's son and that was my way of still holding on to the great love Sami and I had. My heart has opened back up to Sami and my happiness has returned
Cemal: That's all I ever wanted for you mom is to be happy… Last night dad made it clear that he wanted you back with him ….. I'm happy for both of you … our family dinners will be even happier yet.
Sami returns to the mansion and instructs the servants to the new changes in the house. Cemal and Suna are now the principle residents of the mansion. The Master Suite will be redecorated to Suna's and Cemal's taste and decor. He will be leaving once his new residence is configured to his and Hulya's liking.
Suna and Cemal pack their cloths from the Guest House and finally arrive at the Gokdemir Mansion , where the servants bring their luggage up to the main house. Sami is at Hulya's having dinner, so Suna and Cemal get to tour their new residence on their own. This 20,000 square foot mansion sitting on top of a hill both overlooking the city from the front side and overlooking the ocean on the opposite side.
Suna: You've never seen this whole place have you
Cemal: This is almost strange and bizarre…. The times I came here I wasn't quit welcomed and other times I had to hop the gate and then be escorted off the property. Now we own it ….. Give me the deluxe tour package.
Suna: My mother would be in heaven with this tour … She would make herself believe she is the queen of the manor
Cemal: let's make a bet at to how quickly Cavidan will show up and then what will we do with her… she is your mother, you decide
Suna: let's not talk about my mother until we have to…. But can you believe this place, 10 bedrooms, 13 bathrooms and not only the view of the ocean , but also the view of Istanbul's sky line. Father Sami was very particular when he had this place built … he didn't wast any expense and now he walks away from it because of love.
Cemal: Sweetheart, will you be happy here, that is the only question that I have… your happiness is all that matters
Suna: Like, I told you last night, we will be secure here, our children will be secure and safe, that is what makes me happy. Let's go look at the master suite which we will decorate to our liking.
As they enter the Master Suite and it's 1500 square feet of space…. Cemal can't help but comment
Cemal: this bigger than the building we use to live in Adana that had 6 families living
Suna: Ever since dinner when we had Adana food, I've been thinking… could we get a place in Adana whereby we could get away and return to your roots especially when we have children…. I want them to know where and how you lived as a child. This place will spoil them and I don't want that to happen.
Cemal : You've lived like this all your life and you didn't let it spoil you… I doubt our children will get spoiled. Tell me how are you going to have this room changed so that it becomes ours.
Suna: I thought we are a team aren't you going to give me your input. This will be our fun and escape room… more love is going to be made in this room, than it's been use to , so I would think you want to put your input

Cavidan: Is the mansion now yours
Suna: Yes mother, the mansion now belongs to Cemal and I. With Cemal taking complete control of Gokdemir Holdings, Father Sami thought best that the Mansion remain with us so that it can be used for all the events that the company needs to host.
Cavidan: I'm alone especially since you got married, I have no one… are you going to let your mother stay that way… look at how much space you have here
Suna: Mother….. Cemal and I both realized that once you found out we live here you would be a magnet to us…. We will let you stay only if you follow certain guidelines ….. You don't interfere in any company business unless you are invited by us… You under any circumstance can ever reveal anything to the press as to what transpires in this house or the company. If you should find a husband you will immediately remove yourself from these premises. If you agree I will have a contract drawn up forcing you to behave … I haven't forgotten what you did to me and Cemal.

As the months passed the prestige of Gokdemir Holdings has grown and because of it Cemal Gokdemir was named the executive of the year and the youngest Chairman of the Board in Istanbul. Suna's line in fashion exceeded everyone's expectation and Suna was named the designer of the year. The best news that Suna and Cemal received was what they revealed to the family at the last family dinner held at the mansion.
Cemal: with everything that has happened , both good and bad , this news is by far the best for us as a family… Suna is pregnant and a new Gokdemir will be with us .
Suna: the last ultra sound revealed that it's a boy and Cemal and I both agreed that his name will be Sami
Hulya takes her husband hand and then kisses him on his cheek as he is filled with tears of joy
Cemal: dad you made everything possible in bringing Suna into my life and giving us the life we could never have dreamed of
Sami: This family has been through so much, but this little boy will be a blessing to us all we now have Asaf and Sami Gokdemir once more.
