A couple of days have passed since Nova has said Paige's name, but today she isn't thinking about Nova, because today is her birthday! She is so excited for her first birthday in New York. She walks into school with a smile on her face, she looks around the hallway and sees Peter, Ava, Luke and Danny — but where Sam— Ava sees Paige first "Hey there birthday girl!" "Hey Ava, hey guys, where is Sam?" The boys snicker, "Hey what's going on you guys?" "Don't worry about them, come on follow me" Ava said as she walked down the hallway, Paige followed her to the end of the hallway, then Ava pulled something out of her pocket, "Sam wanted me to give this to you." Ava hands Paige a small mint colored envelope. Paige's heart skipped a beat. She starts to open it but then Ava slaps her hand away. "Ow! Ava what the heck was that for?" "Sorry but you're not supposed to open that until lunch. Also your parents are checking you out early." "What really?! How do you know that? What is going on Ava?" "Chill out with the questions, you sound like Parker. Don't worry about it, you will figure it out when you need to, now get to class." Paige's mind raced as she walked to class, what could be in this envelope, why wasn't Sam at school, and how did they get her parents in on this? Lunch rolls around and Paige is bubbling with anticipation as soon as she enters the cafeteria she runs over to the table and almost knocks Peter out of his seat. "Chill! What is the rush Walker?" "Sorry Peter, I am just really curious to see what is in the letter Ava gave me," Peter smiles, "Oh I see, somebody wants to see what Sam has in store for her special day?" "Wait Sam has a surprise for me?" Coming up from behind Luke slaps Peter across the back of the head, "Damn it Peter, you can't keep your mouth shut can you?" "Luke! Ow, that stings man." "Well then maybe you shouldn't be ruining other people's birthday surprises, go on Paige open the letter." Paige opens up the letter to find a crisp piece of paper with beautiful penmanship that reads, "Birthday Wishes! Meet me at the place where you can see space Paige laughs as she reads the note. "Oh my God! That is such a bad joke, but it does help me find where to go." Then the intercom comes on "Paige Walker please come to the office you are being signed out." Paige looks at the boys, "GO WALKER! Your birthday surprise awaits." Peter says as Paige walks out the door.
