Hello from a late Ramen!

As we near the end of a terrific year, the year with 20/20 vision, the year of double crits (rolling natural 20s in DnD), and other positive phrases, this pandemic arc of our lives have just started!

Originally I was going to have a happy joke, but jokes on you the pandemic really sucks! Ever since everyone is online now you gotta be consistent and it feels so tiring...

Butt! (and yes I mean BUTT) stay tuned for future chapters! Sometimes I wonder why do people such as yourself read fanfics, for closure? Pleasure? Or simply entertainment?

Well of you stay and watch this series grow hopefully you can be entertained, pleasured (by moi unprofessional literature), or the like!

Does this author's not me have to many exclamation marks?! Did I just switch it up by having a question and exclamation mark? That's up to you to notice.

"Haah... haah..."

Why is it like this?

What did I do to deserve such a deplorable Goddess..!

After unintentionally ripping the only instructions we had on accident, we approached the rooster.

"What are supposed to do now?"

There was nothing in the letter that said what we should be doing... and better yet what does this have to do with us?

I don't understand why my party is interesting, its more annoying than anything...

A Crusader that can't use magic or land any attacks...

A loli mage that can only cast one spell a day...

... and lastly... her.

"What?"

"its nothing..."

I glanced at Aqua who was walking behind the giant rooster.

"Found anything..!"

Aqua began walking around, making some shuffling noises in the process.

"No! Are you sure this is where we're supposed to be?"

"Yeah."

As we shouted our conversation across the rooster, a masculine suddenly voice echoed.

"Lo and behold server room One!"

The echo bounced around the empty yet full room.

"... uh where are you..?"

I called out to the voice, in which its reply was:

"Right in front of you."

In front of us was a giant rooster, nothing special about it.

Is he the rooster?

Also who was he?

He must be high leveled to transform into a rooster...

"Tis I, Mark!"

...so this was his true form, huh...

"I never expected your true form to be... a chicken..."

The rooster stopped it's movement, and looked directly at me.

"This is what sci-fi nerds call a simulation room, you may simulate anything here..."

As his got louder, I felt a pressure, as if we were in a hot air balloon.

Slowly, the room started turning from this dark abyss, into a bright blue sky while ignoring any daylight cycle. In the blue grew puffy clouds. Underneath us a wooden plank flooring covered the ground.

The planks spread until it made a border around us, which began to rise up making a tiny fence. Ropes started to sprout from the corners and vertices of the plank fences, and rose up till a peak point above us.

... th-this is...

What what just built was a hot air balloon, with your stereotypical colors, red purple yellow and the like.

"Woah Kazuma look how high up we are!"

Megumin began to tug me to the edge of the basket. Underneath us was pure water, or rather an endless sea that reached as far as we can see.

In the water were some strange looking animals. As I peered over the edge, I found a pack of white squids, which looked like they make the sound Bloop. [1]

Darkness leaned over the edge, and looked both scared and in awe.

When I turned around to look at the rooster, a male figure wearing his wicked mask appeared before me.

"Enjoying the lift?"

As he talked, his mask's lips moved along with his words in a creepy motion.

This setting feels like the final battle in a dungeon.

You're at the last floor, with your teamate beside you, facing up against an impossible boss..

Well except the fact he was wearing shorts and beach wear. He wore blue shorts, a white unbuttoned long sleeve, and socks in sandals.

"What was all of this for?"

"To raise the suspense of course, you can't have an amazing scene without great 4k quality!" [2]

4k..?

"Kazuma, what does he mean by 4k quality?"

The girls looked at me in curiosity, which I just remembered about the TV standards back in my world.

"Just don't worry about it for now..."

Megumin and Darkness gave a worried expression, Darkness was in a semi stance, as if she was ready to take a hit at any time.

Megumin had a slight flare in her eyes, and I can feel that she had her mouth ready to set an explosion.

As for Aqua...

"Help me..!"

We heard a cry behind Mark, a pair of hands holding onto the side of the basket.

A/N Start

I am back!

Tis the season, and also the season to be busy!

I can't wait for a winter break, but I'll need to take a quick break from the FanFic unfortunately. I been falling behind schedule so that was unfortunate.

As you can see if you kept waiting and checking out each new chapter that for the last few chapters they have been short, and so I need a breather and some time to formulate the story.

I'll be taking a break for about a month, so on January 6th I'll upload a new chapter. Ironically the chapters are short judt like how short I am haha...

What's funny is that I made a Wattpad account but I haven't uploaded frequently unlike her, so uh good for you readers!
