His first encounter with the Akatsuki came in the form of a dower man in his early twenties. The red clouds on his cloak were a striking design. They were better than the skull most units or organizations wore. Itachi Uchiha looked a lot like his brother Sasuke. The dream Sasuke didn't have red eyes like the brother.

"Why are his eyes red?" Jack questioned.

"That is the Sharingan, I suggest you don't look directly at them." Chiyo said. "We have to find a way around him without looking into his eyes." The old woman said.

As much as he liked to say no to his old self, they didn't have time to fight this opponent. Jack raised two fingers and pushed forward.

Itachi's eyes exploded in his head. The missing nin suddenly clutched his face. Blood and gore poured over his hand. A kunai suddenly plunged through his armor and the illusion faded. The idea of a kunai piercing his armor had been too outlandish for him to believe. Sakura knocked Naruto out of the illusion and Kakashi was busy fighting Itachi.

Jack reassessed his situation. By targeting his opponent he'd been left susceptible to the illusion. Targeting wasn't the thing to do. Somehow even sensing Itachi with his qi sense was enough to put him in an illusion. It had something to do with those eyes. Looking into them put him in an illusion.

He pushed against the ground and felt it crater against him. Jack crossed the distance and used his body as a battering ram. Itachi leapt up spring boarding off his barrier. In that second Jack changed the barrier into a cohesive existence. His hand struck palming Itachi's head. The missing nin burst into a murder of crows.

Somehow this Itachi had managed to place him in an illusion that effected his qi sense as well. Why did his sharingan allow him to fool a sense Itachi didn't have? Ok, if that was the case then there was only one other tactic he had.

Slowly, he poured his qi sense into the area around him. Several illusions later, he came to the conclusion that Itachi couldn't affect his qi sense. He was under an illusion, but his qi sense was unaffected. Itachi's sharingan could use his qi sense as a highway to deliver illusions and the shock of a sudden illusion made him lose his grip on his qi sense.

In an effort to fight the Genjutsu, he devoted streams of consciousness to his chakra and qi sense. Slowly, reality came back. Illusions still attacked him, but his chakra reacted and disrupted the Genjutsu before it could take hold. It weakened him to devote a stream of consciousness to genjutus defense, but he'd be safe at least.

Jack slowly nodded his head; he was under control again. It was time to get rid of Itachi.

"Are you alright, you've been frozen?" Sakura yelled.

Jack raised a hand and took hold of the Uchiha. He crushed those dangerous eyes first. Itachi opened his mouth and screamed. He sensed Itachi's consciousness fleeing the body but not because of death. This wasn't the first time he'd dealt with this type of situation. Genjutsu was ridiculous was unpredictable but body hopping, was yesterday's news. Aura formed into a noose and took hold of the fleeing missing nin.

"I'm trapped in this body." Itachi noted with a bit of shock. Everyone and their mother tried to leave their body to escape. Ever since cloning became viable it was a pain in the neck. Solutions were invented and implemented with varying degrees of success. For good measure he snapped Itachi's arms and legs. They shattered before his telekinesis like dry twigs. This was the perfect opportunity to demoralize his enemy.

Jack raised his hand and felt Tyrant King lightning crackle between his fingertips. The spirit of a mighty digibeast existed within his Dao of lightning. The wrath of a being that was information made flesh crackled between his fingers.

Crimson lightning crackled between his fingertips. Lightning from the Tyrant King a war beast he'd slain beside his Warmaster. Red streaks erupted from his hand with a dangerous familiarity.

"You will never forget this pain." Lightning struck from his fingertips. A thousand crimson lances passed between himself and Itachi. The body lost its features, it blackened until the flesh came away, and even the bones crumbled into dust. He released the howling soul back to its body.

"Why did you do that we could have asked him about where Garra was." Naruto said. Jack shook his head.

"It was just a clone. Trust me the real Itachi was much stronger. But he tried to release the jutsu but couldn't. Care to explain?" Kakashi asked.

"We don't have time for this sensei. We should go." Sakura said.

"I agree with Kakashi. We need to know what happened. How did you keep him from changing bodies?" Old lady Chiyo said.

Jack looked between his four teammates. Fortunately, they couldn't see his eyes through his mirrored faceplate. Still, it was times like these that he missed only answering to the Warmaster.

"In my line of work, I've dealt with numerous opponents who could jump bodies when captured. I performed a jutsu that kept him in his body." Jack said.

"Then we could have tried to ask him." Naruto said. Jack shook his head.

"Itachi is too dangerous. His Genjutsu was too effective. If he wasn't so good, then I would have considered it. Even with arms broken and his neck in a noose, I didn't feel that any of you where safe. If he trapped me in a very good Genjutsu, I might attack you." Jack said.

Kakashi nodded his head and eye smiled. "Well I'm glad you thought of us, but we can handle ourselves. How did you escape his genjutsu?" Kakashi asked.

"I thought my sixth sense made me immune to his genjutus but I was wrong. It gave him numerous avenues to affect me. I had to devote temporary clones of my mind to monitor my chakra pathways and sixth sense. They transmitted data faster than the Genjutsu could take effect." In a sense he entered a bunch of dirty viruses filled sites and trusted his antivirus software. Itachi seemed like the kind of guy who would adapt. He needed to reach core and soon.

"That seems dangerous." Sakura said.

"It weakened my combat effectiveness by 40%." Jack mumbled. Creating two separate streams of consciousness then having them pass information at the quantum level was difficult. It took too much focus at his current level to be a viable tactic. At core that cost would decrease to a mere 0.4% and at system that would become 0.0000004%. Basically, increasing is realm was a net positive. The problem with raise his cultivation base from core to system was energy. Compared to refinery the natural energy requirements were ludicrous. He'd need his little moon garden. To that end he needed a shipping company to transport the supplies.

Jack decided that he'd open up a school in Konoha. He only needed to get a space from the civilian council and devise charts to prove the profitability of his cruisers. A testimony from Kakashi would be invaluable.

"Well it doesn't matter now, lets move quickly." Chiyo suggested.

Jack hovered before the Akatsuki hideout. A four-seal barrier prevented them from moving forward. The barrier separated the entire hideout from the outside. His qi sense enveloped the entire barrier and found no holes. He plunged into the hideout and found their targets. After a few moments he discovered that air, sound, and numerous greater elements like gravity could pass through the barrier. The barrier didn't fix itself in space. It didn't even affix itself to the planet around it.

"What are you thinking?" Sakura asked.

"The odds of Garra surviving something the two missing nin couldn't are low. Increasing gravity within the confines of the barrier is possible but would kill Garra. Pulling the oxygen from the room would have a similar result. Garra doesn't have much Biju chakra left. Time is of the essence but beyond the barrier my qi sense grows fuzzy. I could open a vein of natural gas below the cave and guide it up through the barrier. That would kill Garra too. Suddenly filling the cave with harmful radiation might kill Garra as well. This mission would be easier if I could just kill the Akatsuki." Jack said.

"Team Guy is on their way. When they arrive, we'll remove the barrier and fight the Akatsuki." Jack did the math, by the chakra drain rate they had another day. Jack let out a sigh and took a seat beside Naruto.

The kid looked tense and glared at the cave. "Relax Naruto, he will survive until tomorrow and we're here now." Slowly Naruto nodded his head.

"I doubt the Akatsuki predicted we'd get here so quickly. If you ever build a reliable version of that horseless chariot, you'll change the ninja world." Kakashi said.

"Yes, you did arrive here in record time. I heard of the contraption you arrived in. What do you plan to do with the invention?" Chiyo asked.

"I plan to spread it far and wide. I'll make the building process so cheap that anyone can afford one. They will speed up the supply chains of the world and connect every nation more tightly than ever before. Every country on the planet will have the opportunity to grow richer. With faster safer supply chains, the price of shipping will drop. Less people will grow hungry the population will boom like never before and then I'll turn all of the world's attention to the stars." Jack said. Kakashi looked up from his Icha Icha with slight interest.

"They will be used for war." He said with the certainty of a cynic.

"Absolutely, war is inevitable it's the backbone of mankind's evolution. The weak and the unfit die and the strong reproduce. Anyone who says otherwise is a blinded by idealism. My gift to mankind is the ability to separate themselves from each other. If you don't want to fight, then fly away." Jack said.

"You really believe that. You're not lying." Sakura said in shock.

"War is hell how can that be a good thing?" Kakashi said.

"War is nature. We live in a world of limited resources and must compete. People with differing views will meet each other. A clash of some kind is inevitable. Nature is an ugly thing and it doesn't care for human sensibilities." Jack said.

"So, we should just accept it. Because war is inevitable, you think we should give up." Naruto yelled.

"No, but there is a point where diplomacy breaks down. So, some distance might be best for humanity." He had ulterior motives. A hell of a lot of them. The number of humans in the world colored natural energy. It made natural energy easier to cultivate which is what he needed to advance.
