Part 7: Sneaking in North High(2)

*Back with Koizumi's group...*

"The cafeteria is this way," Nagato informed the others, having reverted to her high school uniform sans glasses. "Perhaps we will find one of the Masters here..."

"Do you think they'll be willing to listen, though?" Medusa inquired, also having shifted back to her casual attire.

"Tsuruya-san may be willing to hear us out. Uncertain for Kimidori," Yuki pondered. "It may also depend on what servants they have summoned..." Peeking into the cafeteria proper, she glimpsed two girls sitting at a table... "It seems myself and Tsuruya-san are there, discussing something."

Medusa then suggested, "Perhaps I could try and listen in? They might assume that I'm a teacher..."

"It's worth a try," Koizumi agreed.

"...Very well, do as you suggest," Yuki concurred. So Medusa casually walked into the cafeteria, trying to avoid looking directly at the duo as she approached...

"...don't have to worry about a thing, Nagato-chi!" Tsuruya's voice became clear as the servant got close. "We might be rivals in this Grail War, but we can still be friends, nyoro~!"

"I-I'm glad to hear that," the other Yuki stuttered. "But I don't know if I can trust my servant... she's the witch of betrayal, and I'm afraid to say anything against her..."

"She been mistreating yous at all?" Tsuruya pressed.

"N-no, she's been very nice," the other Yuki shook her head. "But, that smile on her face unnerves me... And now I feel like something terrible's just happened..." The other student immediately grabbed her in a reassuring hug.

"No worries. If she does betray yous, I'm sure Rider will take care of hers... Hmmm?" Her head lifted up, as if hearing something else. "You're saying there's another servant around heres, Rider? Wheres?"

(Uh-oh,) Medusa thought as Tsuruya's gaze fixed on her. Raising up her hands, she quickly spoke, "Please, I'm not here to cause trouble..."

"That remains to be seen," a gruff voice spoke as Tsuruya's servant materialized, a large, muscular man with dark red hair and a full beard dressed in leather armor and with a red fur lined cape! "I haven't seen you before... you with the Kyouoen faction?"

"I-Iskandar?!" Medusa took a step back in fear.

"(Iskandar?)" Koizumi whispered to Yuki, still out of sight.

"(Also known as Alexander the Great,)" the interface whispered back.

"(Oh, dear.)"

"Just my luck..." Cu Chulainn sighed in spirit form.

"So, you know who I am, huh?" Iskandar smirked. "You've done your research... but you still hardly look worth the effort."

"Don't underestimate me!" Medusa yelled as she pulled off her glasses, exposing the King of Conquerors to her Mystic Eyes, encasing him in stone!

"Ahhhh! Rider!" Tsuruya cried in shock and disbelief. But then the stone began to crack up...

"Medusa, run! That won't hold him for long!" Caster Yuki called. "And equip your Breaker Gorgon!" This Medusa did, as Yuki held up her staff... "Lens Flare!" A bright light erupted from the staff's orb, blinding Tsuruya and the other Yuki!

"My eyes! I can't see!" Tsuruya covered her face, while the other Yuki pulled off her glasses and blinked several times. Just then, Iskandar broke out completely from his petrification, brushing pieces of stone off his cape!

"You won't get away that easily!" Iskander bellowed, unsheathing his short sword! "Bucephalus! To my side!" His massive black steed appeared in a flash of lightning, the rider quickly mounting!

"Medusa, you summon your steed as well!" Caster Yuki ordered as the group retreated down the hallway!

"Right!" Medusa nodded, summoning her chain and slitting her throat, Bellerophon appearing from her blood! "Koizumi-san, climb on!"

"A-alright," Koizumi grunted as Yuki pushed him on, the pegasus swiftly galloping away from the approaching Iskandar!

"Hahaha! Your wimpy white horse can't outrun my steed!" the King of Conquerors laughed as he closed the distance!

"Gae Bolg!" Cu Chulainn intoned as he materialized! However, his lance was not aimed at the rider, but at Bucephalus, piercing the horse under his left leg, causing both steed and Iskander to tumble to the floor! "That'll slow him down! Let's go, Nagato!" He promptly grabbed Yuki's arm and ran off, the alien using her data manipulation to keep pace with the Lancer's speed...

"Bucephalus! Speak to me, my old friend!" Iskander cried in distress as he righted himself, getting a whinny in response. "Ah, good! I knew one spear wasn't enough to fell you..." Turning his head toward the retreating servants, he bellowed, "You may have managed to retreat this time, but I'll conquer you all soon enough! So proclaims the King of Conquerors!"

*Outside the school...*

"Okay, so we made it out in one piece," Mordred said as she materialized. "You know where the others are at, alien?!"

"Yes, a few blocks south of here," Yuki responded. So the group headed in that direction, eventually seeing Dantes scanning the street in front of an alley...

"Hey, Count! Looks like you made it too!" Mordred greeted.

"You all seem a bit short of breath," Dantes observed, beckoning them into the alley proper. "I'm assuming you had to make a hasty retreat as well?"

"Yeah, we got away by the skin of our teeth! Good thing for Nagato's quick thinking!" Cu Chulainn grunted.

"We managed to kill Caster, but Tsuruya's servant turned out to be Iskandar," Medusa explained as she and Koizumi dismounted her pegasus, which dematerialized soon after.

"The King of Conquerors?!" Mash gasped. "W-we had to run away from the King of Heroes!"

"Gilgamesh, too?! Geez, this just keeps getting better and better," Mordred groaned. "And there's that twisted form of Father, too..."

"If only El-Melloi were here," Ritsuka lamented. "We only managed to prevail over those two last time thanks to his strategy and Noble Phantasm..."

"It is fine," Yuki assured him. "Now that we know who our enemies are, I can strategize accordingly. Our first priority is to deal with Artoria Alter. After she is dealt with, we should be able to convince Suzumiya-san to join forces with us."

"But how are we gonna do that?" Mordred grunted. "I can't beat that evil Father by myself, and if we gang up, that Suzumiya will just tell him to run away!"

"There is a way," Yuki countered. "If we sever the contract between Master and Servant, defeating Artoria will be much easier..."

"Sever the contract? How would we do that?" Koizumi inquired.

"With this," Yuki held up a familiar jagged blade.

"Is that... Rule Breaker? Medea's Noble Phantasm?" Mash realized.

"Yes, I took it from her just before she vanished," Yuki nodded.

"I see, so we could stab Suzumiya with this, and Artoria Alter would lose her mana source," Medusa summarized.

"But who could get close enough?" Dantes cut in. "That Artoria's Instinct skill would instantly detect any servant that approached..."

"Ah, Suzumiya-san doesn't like it when I get too close, either," Koizumi shook his head. "She calls me a pervert and sometimes socks me in the stomach, depending on her mood..."

"Only one option left, then," Kyon spoke up over the comm-link. "You guys have to find Past Me and convince him to help. I'm probably at home by now..."

"Ah, that's right," Koizumi nodded. "Nagato-san said that you and Suzumiya-san are lovers in the proper history... if anyone could get close to her, you would."

"Oh~, so we're going to convince him to cheat on this Nagato Yuki?" Da Vinci teased.

"Like John Smith said, it's our only option," Ritsuka affirmed. "Off to Smith's old home, then..."

"But will he believe us, is the question?" Koizumi pondered.

"Oh, once he sees a real goddess, he'll be convinced plenty~!" Ishtar spoke up, a mischievous smile on her face.

(Oh, if only you knew, Ishtar...) Kyon thought to himself, hiding a smirk from Da Vinci.

*To be continued...*

Next up, the meeting with past Kyon! But will Yuki's plan work? Stay tuned!
