It was 10:00 P.M. Sonic and Tails went to bed with Resolce laying unconcious on the couch. Or so they thought. Resolve woke up in a jolt to see he was on the couch.

"What happened?" asked Resolve to himself. He looked left and right to see no one there. He got up for a second but then a jolt of pain went through his leg and he yelped as he laid back down. He heard footsteps seconds later and saw Sonic and Tails looking at him.

"Well look who's finally awake!" said Sonic

"What happened? Why does my leg hurt? Where is Catalyst?" Resolve said. He had many questions.

"Well you were in a fight with someone and got stabbed in the legs 3 times but you're fine now. As for Catalyst, she is looking for the 3rd emerald."

"Fight? Oh shit!" Resolve went on to explain what had happen to him.

"So at least one is dead." said Sonic

"That's the thing, I have no clue what the other 2 have or what they could pull off!" said Resolve.

"I guess we'll wait and see." said Sonic

They then heard a rumble. The floor cracked open and a giant green orb came out.

"Oh shit he found the emerald!" shouted Sonic. The orb rose and on top of it was Drift. "So, what do you think?" he asked

"Well the entrance was badass but it's kind of bright." said Resolve

"I knew the green one was too bright." said Drift. "Man colors are so dangerous these days."

"Yeah it can be an issue.But nevermind that, why are you here?"

"Well I think it's time I kill all 4 of you! You wi- wait where's the 4th?"

"Looking for the 3rd."

"WHAT?! Oh I'm not letting that happen! The orb moved quickly but Resolve and Tails grabbed onto it. They then realized the orb was controlled by the emerald Drift had. That's why it attracted to others. Resolve got on top of the orb with Drift and Tails did as well. Resolve fell down as his leg wouldn't let him stand.

"Resolve you need to get down before it's too late. You're already hurt." said Tails

"I'll be fine. Trust m-" Resolve was hit by a chaos strike from Drift and fell to the ground. He hit his neck on the way down and laid there unconscious. Tails looked at Drift angrily

"Why would you do that?!" yelled Tails

"Well when I said I would kill everything, I meant it." said Drift.

"Alright asshole let's go!" Tails flew and tried to punch Drift but he dodged easily. Drift shot a chaos strike at Tails and swept him off his feet. Tails got back up and went for another attack. He nailed Drift in the shin with his tails. Drift fell down for a second but then instantly went up using a boost of chaos energy. He lunged at Tails and punched him square in the mouth. Tails fell off the orb but grabbed onto the side.

"You think I'll make some monologue next right?" asked Drift

"Well yeah, you are the vi-" tails said but stopped as Drift punched him right off and Tails fell. Drift looks down and saw no sign if Tails.

"Heh, easy." said Drift. A figure then shot up quickly behind him and kicked him in the back of the head. He fell down and behind him was Tails, who used chaos energy in his tails to boost him up. He looked at Drift and without hesitation he swung a fist at him. What happened next was something Tails didn't expect. Drift sunk into the orb and came blasting out the other side kicking Tails in the back. Before Tails could react he went into the orb again and uppercutted Tails and slammed him onto the orb. Tails looked at Drift weakly before falling off the orb and into the river below them. The orb continued to move towards the emerald.

"Dumbass doesn't know cause it's the emerald I got it means I control it. Pathetic."said Drift. He turned away and continued his trip.

Meanwhile Tails splashed into the river and sank to the bottom. He didn't have enough energy in him to get out. He had to swim before it was too late. That's when a hand grabbed him and yanked him out. He coughed and saw that it was none other then Sonic that had saved him.

"*cough* Sonic? *cough* How did you know I was here?" asked Tails

Sonic replied "Well other then the fact you were on a giant orb I just sensed it."

"Oh yeah I guess that gave it away. Where's Resolve? Is he ok."

"I had to move him to the hospital. He isn't doing good. But now we need to get to that emerald!" said Sonic. The duo sped off towards the emerald.

Meanwhile with Catalyst she was trying to speed up towards Jennifer but she couldn't catch up. Jennifer then slammed the breaks and Catalyst crashed right into her. Catalyst flew right out of the window and fell in front of Jennifer and her car. Jennifer saw she was weak and floored the gas right towards Catalyst. Catalyst looked at the car and got up. That's when she finally used her ability. Her chaos energy made a silhouette of her right behind her. She looked at it and realized this was her ability. She could use her soul to create a more powerful version of her.

"Alright Jennifer, bring it!" yelled Catalyst.
