Blood As Cold As Ice
It was morning like this that Segerant-Detective Jane Rizzoli hated, as she was already at her desk going over the case files. The case that the team was working on was beyond frustrating her, Cavanaugh was on her ass about solving it, not to mention that an early phone call from Paddy Doyle, asking to meet her. On top of that Agent Dean had been harassing Maura showing up in different places and it was upsetting Maura, and Jane was pissed and worried about the added stress it was putting on his wife and their unborn child. She had slipped out of bed at 4 AM, leaving her very sexy, naked wife sleeping, she hated it, and now it was 7 AM and she was already hard at work. Leaning back in her chair, closing her eyes, thinking about her earlier conversation with Doyle.
--FLASHBACK 5 AM THIS MORNING--
"Doyle to what do I owe the pleasure of being pulled out of my very warm comfortable bed? asked Jane. "Detective, I have to make you aware of something. Detective Sam Carter, is my niece, her father was my brother Peter, he left the family business, to be with the woman he loved, after finding out that she was pregnant. He was not cut out for the family business, and my father disowned him. He changed his name Wilson Carter and married Penny before having Sam." stated Doyle. "Damn it, does Sam know? It just keeps getting better and better. Doyle, did Sam's parents murder have to do with a mob hit? And you know that I have to tell Maura, I will not lie to her." saying a very pissed off Jane. " No, she doesn't know, and no, it had nothing to do with the family and I know you have to tell Maura. Just protect both of them, is all I am asking." Doyle says and walks away.
Back to Present
The sound of arriving Detectives, Booth, and his team brings Jane out of her flashback. Also hearing the clicking of Maura's heels, with Brennan, and the combined BPD and Jeffersonian team, they were having a joined meeting, the FBI was now assisting, as well as the team from Jeffersonian's team. Maura walked over to Jane's desk, placing a gaint cup of cup and a couple of pastries in front of her. Jane smiles up at her wife as Maura leans in for a kiss, whispering into her ear "good morning, sweetheart. I was very upset waking up alone in bed. You will be making that up to me, later." smiling and winking at Jane. "Sorry babe, I wanted to get an early start, this case is frustrating and Cavanaugh is on my ass. I promise to make it up to you, tonight." Jane give her sexy smirk and winks. God she loves her wife, and she is the luckiest woman alive.
As the all the teams gather in the conference room, the whiteboard showed all the victims that the current case involved. Victim 1. Kelly Clevenger W/F with the C 0 carved into left hand, Victim 2. Susan Mills, W/F with the A 2carved into the left hand, Victim 3 Heather Butts, W/F R 1 was carved into the left hand, Victim 4. Jacki Motts T 8 was carved into the left hand and raped, W/F, Victim 5. Kamala Hill W/F E 1 was carved into the left hand and was raped. All had blue eyes, blond hair, athletic built, and students at BCU. Jane, Korsak, Frost, Booth, Sweets, and Aubrey were heading up field teams. Frankie, Nina, and Angela were working the BRIC. Maura, Brennan, Susie, Hodgins, Nigel, and Zack was handing the reexamination of bodies, rerunning all labs, evidences and traces evidence. Everything was bring checked and doubled checked by the team by at the Jeffersonian. Maura had reached out to Brennan for her to consult on this case and she had a theory about the missing bullets. Brennan had a similar case earlier. Everyone was busy working, and going over everything with a fine tooth comb.
The bullpen was buzzing with activity, the ringing of phones for the hotline that was setup, and people talking. Maura and Jane were getting ready to leave to pick up lunch for everyone, everyone had decided to have a working lunch. Booth was coming back from getting coffee when an very angry Agent Dean, stopped him asking "Why was the FBI here and why was he not part of the investigation team? " "Gabriel Dean, after speaking with your Supervisor, I was informed that you are no longer an FBI agent, you have been "Fired" after the warehouse incident and that you were also told to stay away from Segerant-Detective Jane Rizzoli-Isles and Dr Maura Rizzoli-Isles, your obsession with them is beyond normal. You are under arrest for impersonating a FBI agent, and a few other charges. Korsak and Frost get him out of here." stating Booth. Both men stepped up, pulling out handcuffs and placing them on his wrists, and reading him his rights. Looking through the glass into the bullpen, he see, Jane placing her hand on Maura's stomach, as she pulls her into a hug with her other arm, leaning in she places a kiss on her wife's lips. Turning to Korsak, Dean ask "I never had a chance with her, did I?" "No you never did, you broke her trust when she confided in you, you lied about having a sexual relationship with her, dam near costed her job and everything she worked hard for, and lastly you were never her type. They have loved each other for over 7 years, since they met on their first crime scene. The one person that loves her unconditionally, supported her, and was there for her through everything. Dr Maura Rizzoli-Isles, her wife and mother of her unborn child, the love of her life. So you never had a chance in HELL." Looking through the glass one last time, he pull his head down as he was led away by Korsak and Frost.
