Note: Sorry if I haven't come back to this story in a while, I've just been distracted with working on my other stories. To those who think that I only do Star Fox stories, I don't. I might do stories for other forms of media from time-to-time, but for now, I'll try to work on the stories that I am currently working on.

Chapter 7: Meeting His Friends

A week after her talk with Bagheera, Lexi found herself taking a walk down the street with Baloo. The couple was going to see Baloo's friends, mainly the ones Lexi hadn't met yet. They were hanging out at a public place, so they didn't need to walk too far.

"Ready for this, honey?" The bear asked his girlfriend.

"I'm as ready as I'll ever be." The rabbit smiled.

Baloo opened the door to the building, allowing Lexi to go in first. The moment they went in, the two were greeted by Bagheera, an orangutan, two wolves, and a snake.

"You two lovebirds are early." Bagheera smiled.

"I guess that I was in a hurry to meet you guys." Lexi said.

"You must be Lexi?" The orangutan shook her hand.

"That's me," The honey bunny said, "and you are?"

"Name's Louie, honey." The orangutan stated.

"Nice to meet you," The younger female said, "did Baloo tell you about me?"

"He's been saying all kinds of stuff," Louie stated, "including stuff about how you're crazy beautiful and smart like a scientist!"

Lexi couldn't help but smile. Even if she had just met the orangutan, he seemed supportive of her relationship with Baloo.

The male wolf shook her hand, "I'm Rama, and the woman next to me is my wife, Raksha."

"Hello." Raksha greeted.

"Has Baloo told you about me?" The rabbit asked.

"Actually," Rama said, "all he told us was that you were his girlfriend and that you two were doing just fine."

"Other than that," Raksha stated, "you look like the kind of girl who would be fine with children."

"Do you have kids?" Lexi asked.

"A litter is a better term," Rama said, "but yes."

"I guess that I could watch over them sometime." The rabbit stated.

"How sssplendid of you, Misss." The snake moved closer to her.

"What's your name?" The bunny asked.

"Kaa," The snake answered, "and you can put your trussst in me."

"I don't know," Lexi had doubts, "you're a snake and I'm a rabbit."

"Have a little trussst in me." Kaa slowly said, his eyes taking a hypnotic look.

Lexi was completely entranced by the snake's hypnotic eyes. She even found herself unable to move.

"Uh, Kaa?" Baloo said, "I think that you hypnotized Lexi there."

"Sssorry about that." Kaa apologized as he moved his eyes away from Lexi, breaking his hypnotic control over her.

"What happened?" The honey bunny asked.

"You were being hypnotized there, kid." Bagheera said.

"But now you're free." Baloo put his hand over his girlfriend's shoulder.

"I suppose that you could tell us why you and Baloo are going out, Lexi?" Raksha asked.

"We found out that we both like nature." Lexi answered.

"And she's beautiful and smart." Baloo stated.

"Those are two words I never thought that I would hear in the same sentence." Louie joked.

"Hey!" Lexi blushed.

"Just a joke, sweetie!" The orangutan defended himself.

"Well, I think that it's great that you and Baloo are singing in harmony." Raksha said, "It's just a shame that everyone couldn't come today."

"Akela did say he had something to do." Rama stated.

"Still," Bagheera said, "it would've been nice if he came."

"Is Akela a wolf like you two?" Lexi asked Rama and Raksha.

"Yes." Rama said.

"How did you know?" Raksha asked.

"Lucky guess." The honey bunny said.

"She gets a lot of stuff right," Baloo said, "like when I asked her when my birthday was."

"Your birthday is on April 24." Lexi stated.

"See what I mean?" The bear asked.

"You two seem like you're perfect for each other," Louie said, "and I support that!"

"You really picked an angel, Baloo." Raksha stated.

"And one who is as beautiful as the moon." Bagheera smiled.

"I hope that you ssstay together!" Kaa said.

"And make sure that you treat her right!" Rama said.

"I will." Baloo said as he blushed.

"Believe me, he's like a knight." Lexi smiled.

A few hours later, Lexi and Baloo were back at Lexi's house.

"Your friends are really nice." Lexi said.

"Thanks," Baloo stated, "I hope that your other friends are as nice."

"I hope so too." The rabbit sighed.

"I'll see you next week." The bear said as he kissed the smaller female on the cheek.

"You too." Lexi said as Baloo walked out the door.

When the bear was gone, Lexi found herself laying down on her bed. Closing her eyes, she drifted off to sleep.

I hope that the rest of my friends are as supporting of Baloo as his friends are towards me. The rabbit's thoughts echoed through her head as she slept.
