"You know what I just heard?" she starts, everyone is intrigued. "I heard Bryan passed recently. For a cardiac surgeon to die from heart failure, now that's something." she says as she sips on her wine glass. Scarlett stops eating and looks like she's about to pounce. Lori and Dave could see Chris hold on her knee. To calm her. Sam continues, "It's a horrible circumstance though. He was so young. No one deserves to die that young." Scarlett eases a little. Alexa connected the dots almost immediately. She knew that her grandparents were talking about Scarlett's dad. She could tell that Scarlett was trying so hard not to retaliate. Loretta continues, "I heard that his daughter inherited everything. A young thing owning her grandparents house on Elm. She probably doesn't know what to do with that big house." she laughs. Alexa buts in surprising the table, "Grandma that's not any of our business. Especially yours, you both don't even live here anymore." she says. "Alexa." Dave scolds. "Oh, no it's alright. She's half right." Loretta smiles and so does Alexa. Scarlett clears her throat, "excuse me, could I use your bathroom?" She turns to Lori and Dave. "Of course, it's down the hall to your left." Lori says while she gives Scarlet a warm smile. As Scarlett enters the bathroom she is trying to hold in her anger. She's furious.

How dare these people who did not know who she is or who her father was just speak about them like that. If they both didn't want Lori to have her how dare they still fixate on her family? On her? When Scarlett came out of the bathroom she was met by Lori at the door. Lori sighs and smoothes Scarletts hair out of the way. "I'm so sorry, baby. You handled that very well. After tonight they'll know." she assures her. Scarlett is trying not to cry and Lori could tell. "Thank you. You're making this easier." Scarlett says. Lori rubs her back. "Deep breaths. Alright. We got this." she says. Scarlett nods and they both walk back in there. Alexa walks up to Scarlett, "I'm sorry about my grandparents." she apologizes. Scarlett smiles at Alexa, "Don't worry. They don't know who I am. It's okay. Thank you though. Also, great take on Thanksgiving dinner." she winks at her and Alexa gives Scarlett a hug. Both Dave and Lori smile at each other. Scarlett walks over to Chris and holds his hand tightly. Chris rubs his fingers on her ring and kisses it. "Want something to drink?" he asks her, she nods, "Ice water please.I can tell I'm super dehydrated."

As Chris walks over to get Scarlett something to drink Scarlett notices Sam's eyes. "Sam, may I ask how long your eyes have been like that?" she carefully asks Sam. Sam chuckles, "For about 3 months now actually. I'm just getting old darlin." he says gracefully. "Usually, yellow eyes could mean a lack of filtration of your bilirubin, an orange-yellow waste compound made up of old or abnormal red blood cells." Scarlett says. Sam is giving Scarlett a confused look so she continues to explain, "this means that your liver is probably not functioning properly." Sam's expression changed, "I didn't know that. I'll go to the doctor first thing tomorrow." Loretta overhears their conversation, "Oh, honey it's probably nothing. Her focus is oncology." by this time Scarlett has had enough. "Before my focus in oncology I was still a doctor. I'm just relaying my concern as a physician. You don't have to follow any of my suggestions. Just try to make sure your husband is healthy." she rebuttals. Chris comes back and hands Scarlett her water, "Come on babe, Lets go get some fresh air." as they walk away you could tell Loretta, Sam, and Lori are having a conversation. Lori is possibly giving her mother a piece of her mind. "That woman is unbearable. " Scarlett says in scathing anger. "Sorry, I'm trying to make sure your husband lives longer than 3 years." she says as she sips on her water.

Chris looks at Scarlett, "I think it's time we should go." he says. Scarlett silently agrees. "Let's go say bye. I want to spend the night with my fiance." Scarlett says as she kisses Chris and gives him a wink. They walk into the house, "Thank you for having us but we've had a long day today." Scarlett says. Alexa walks up to Scarlett and hugs her again. "Thanks for coming." she thanks Scarlett. Scarlett smiles, "Yes thank you for having us." Chris says. Dave walks over to Chris and gives him a manly hug, "Congrats, Chris! Very nice ring." he whispers into his ear. Chris smiles. "Thank you, captain." Lori walks over to Scarlett, "Talk soon?" Scarlett nods and smiles, "Bye, baby." lori whispers. "Goodbye." Scarlett responds. Everyone else yells goodbye and Lucas was still eating and yells, "Bye Dr. Fortrick." and continues eating. Both Scarlett and Chris head out the door so incredibly fast. "Leave it up to Lucas to yell my actual last name." Scarlett says as she gets into her car. Loretta looks at Lori with disgust. She walks over to Lori, "Fortrick?" Loretta whispers. Lori didn't back down and she responded, "Yes." Jennifer knew where this conversation was headed and decided it was time for her family to leave. The Coopers leave through the back door.

Sam is the first one to speak, "I had a feeling that was her." he says as he sits down on the couch. "She's gorgeous. She looks just like you, Lori." Alexa and Lucas are confused. "What is going on? You both have been acting so strange." Alexa asks. Lori and Dave share a look, "Lucas, Alexa, come upstairs please." Lori asks. They both do as they're told. "Before I tell you both anything, know that I love you more than anything. Nothing will change that or this family." Lori continues. "This will be a shock to you both." Dave continues. "You both are scaring us." Lucas says. "Before I dated your father, I was dating someone else. His name was Bryan Fortrick." Lori continues and Alexas gasps."Scarlett's dad." she says. Lori nods, "Yes, Bryan and I had unprotected sex and I got pregnant, with Scarlett." she says. Lucas gets up and Dave sits him back down. "Son." he says. Lori continues, "your grandparents would not allow an abortion to be an option. I had Scarlett but I could not keep her. They wouldn't allow it." she says while crying. "Bryan, Scarlett's dad, took her in and he raised her. I missed everything. I've wanted to tell you both for so long, but you both were still so young." Lori says. "I'm not ashamed, but It's not something I want either of you to have to experience." she says in pain. First there was silence. "Scarletts is our sister." Lucas says, "she's the oldest." he continues. "I have a sister." Alexa says as she smiles. "I'm not happy that I'm barely finding this out, but at least I know I like my sister." she says and she gives Lori a hug. "That must have been so hard for you mom. You're so strong." she continues. Lori and Dave look at Lucas, "Lucas, what's going through your head." Lori asks. "This is shocking news. I just need time to digest. I'm not mad, I just want to make sure you guys know that." he continues. Lucas gets up and goes to his room. "Thanks for telling us." Alexa says. Lori smiles and gives Alexa a kiss on the cheek.
