Love Comes At All Ages
Chapter 8: Mr. Burns Tells Smithers About His Feelings For Rebecca
The following morning, Mr. Burns is dreaming about himself and Rebecca, in this dream he and her were at a ball dancing. He looks at her and tells her, "You look lovely tonight, my dear." She smiles and kisses him. Burns wakes up to Smithers shaking him, just like yesterday. He sternly tells his assistant, "Stop waking me, Waylon!" Smithers says, "It's another work day." Burns sighs, he then decides to tell Smithers about his feelings for Rebecca, "Waylon, you know the newest employee and I have hung out twice now.", "Yes, sir." Mr. Burns sits up and looks at Bobo then says "Well I love her.", "What?!", "Yes, she's very enchanting."
Meanwhile Rebecca is talking to her uncle about Mr. Burns' feelings for her, who says, "He likes you? Are you sure?" She nods and tells him that he does, Marge enters, and says, "Rebecca and Homie, you both better get going. It's a work day." Homer and her exit the house, and Homer says to his niece, "You want me to drive you to work?" Rebecca nods, and says, "Yeah, because I still want to talk to you.", they both enter Homer's car. Homer puts the key in, then backs out of the driveway. While driving to the power plant, he listens to his niece. "So anyways, Mr. Burns told me he liked me in the park, he then kissed me.", "It must be serious." he tells her. "What should I do? Should I go out with him? I mean he's way older than I am.", "Well as Marge would tell me, do what your heart tells you."
They arrive at the power plant fifteen minutes later. Mr. Burns was standing in front of the plant with his right hand on the front wall. Homer sees this then looks at Rebecca and tells her, "He must be waiting to see you." Homer and her walk over, and Homer enters the plant without saying a word, while Rebecca stops in her tracks, and says, "Hello Mr. Burns. Nice day today, huh?" He grabs her right arm with his left hand, "Oh yes, it's enchanting. I hope to spend the afternoon alone with you." She blushes a little and says, "That reminds me, I've been giving this some thought and.." Before she could finish, Burns lets go of her arm, goes over to the door, opens it and tells her to go ahead and enter. She smiles and walks ahead, he then walks beside her, Rebecca then continues her statement, "And I have came to a desicion." As they reach her sector, she stops walking as does Mr. Burns. She then cups her hands and puts them on his chin, and says before puckering her lips, "I like you..a lot, so maybe we can get in a relationship." He smiles a loving smile, and says, "We can indeed, my dearest."
