A Very Morgan Christmas-Ch 9
Penelope stood looking down at her hands, she couldn't believe it, she couldn't believe that in her hand on the face of the pregnancy test was a huge pink plus sign. She grinned and said, "p p positive, positive as in I'm going to have a baby, we're going to have a baby".
Her hand slid down to her stomach and she said, "hello in there little one, I'm your mommy and I love you so much already and I promise you that no matter what I will make sure that you are safe and loved". As she stood there thinking she couldn't remember when her last period was so she grabbed her calendar again and started looking.
She bit down on her bottom lip as she saw that her last period was a very light period and it was a few days at the first part of March and today was, what was today, today is May the 7th. She grinned and said, "so I'd say aroundddddddd 8 or 9 weeks along".
Part of her wanted to pick up the phone and call Derek now and tell him buttttt home pregnancy tests had a tendency to show a fake positive some times. No, she wouldn't tell anybody until she was sure that she was indeed pregnant.
She pulled out her cell and grinned as she called her family doctor, since Derek was away it wouldn't be any problem to keep the appointment from him, what he didn't know wouldn't hurt him. As she ended the call she sighed and said, "8:00 in the morning, I'll have blood work and then by the time I leave I'll know for sure if I am pregnant or not".
As the evening continued Derek called Penelope and they talked for over an hour, the case was close to ending and he couldn't wait to get back home to her. Penelope laughed and smiled as she listened to his sexy voice, she had always loved that voice of his, well she loved everything about him, the entire package was totally and absolutely perfect.
The next morning Penelope got up, got dressed and made her way to her doctors appointment, she was sent for blood work and had to give a urine specimen. Now the only thing left was waiting on the results and then she would finally know if she was pregnant.
Penelope looked up a few minutes later and watched as the doctor walked into the room, she smiled and said, "Susan, please tell me you have the results". Susan smiled and said, "yes P I have them" and Penelopes heart raced as she sat there waiting to hear what Susan had to say.
Susan sighed happily and said, "congratulations Penelope, you're pregnant, over 9 weeks along", Penelope grinned and said, "really, I'm really pregnant"?, Susan said, "you are indeed pregnant and it's even more special because of what this weekend is".
Penelope looked at her and said, "this weekend, what is this weekend"?, Susan grinned at her and said, "it's Mothers Day weekend P". Penelope said, "M M Mothers Day" as her hand slid back down to her stomach and she couldn't help but smile.
Susan said, "when you tell Derek, be sure to tell him that you will be starting your 10th week on Monday", she handed Penelope a prescription and said, "I need you to start these prenatal vitamins as soon as possible and I want to see you back in about a month".
Penelope stood up and said, "thank you Susan, you've made me the happiest woman in the world", Susan grinned and said, "you're welcome and congrats again P, you're going to be a great mommy". She then watched as Penelope gathered her things and headed out of her office with a huge smile on her face.
As Penelope made her way back to her car she couldn't help but smile, she smiled because she couldn't wait to tell Derek the good news. The question was, how was she going to tell him?, a few seconds later she laughed and said, "I've got it, I know how to tell hotstuff".
She then climbed into her car and pulled away from curb and headed back to work, now all she had to do was get everything planned and ready and then she could tell Derek that they were going to be parents and for that she could hardly wait.
