-Several Days Later-

"Good evening ladies and gentleman. I'm Chris Benson and this is Blitz League Inside Access on the Blitz League Network." Chris said as he paused to take a breath before continuing. "Let's get to some scores and headlines from around the league as week 2 is now in the books. We first take you to Houston where the Riders improved to a surprising 2-0 record behind the running of Sullivan." Chris said as the footage cut away from him and showed Sullivan stiff-arming a defender and then juking his way into the end-zone.

"Houston takes it over Detroit by a score of 38-21. With five games left in the season, it's too early to panic in Detroit, but rookie Quarterback Jackson McGee had better right the ship quickly if he want's to remain in Detroit for years to come." Chris said as the camera and footage cut back to him. "Fresh off their inaugural win against the Devils, the San Diego Cyclones headed to Philadelphia to square off against the 0-1 Brawlers. The Cyclones have no shortage of problems to discuss this week in the film room. Brawlers star Defensive- End H.J. Lattshaw had a field day against the Cyclones' inexperienced offensive line. He notched a career high six sacks and 10 tackles for loss. Also although it's unconfirmed, Grant Tanner might have suffered a multi-game injury. That's bad given the inexperience on that Cyclones' roster. The Brawlers took it by a score or 38-3, as the Cyclones offense has yet to score a touchdown on the season..." Chris said as the footage cut away from him and showed H.J. Lattshaw making big play after big play.

"Other Division 3 winners include: Carolina, Milwaukee, and Baltimore." Chris said as he showed the Division 3 standings with Houston currently tied with Milwaukee for the top spot with a 2-0 record, while a bunch of teams where tied with a 1-1 record, while Detroit and Cincinnati lead the bottom with an 0-2 record.

"Now we jump to Division 2, where the early favorites: the Miami Hammerheads notched an easy win behind the arm of all-star Quarterback Julius Williams. The Hammerheads made that dominating defense of the Atlanta 404 look silly today. Williams threw two touchdowns and scrambled in for four more. Hammerheads win it 42-17." Chris said as the screen how showed footage of the Hammerheads highlights against Atlanta.

"We now head to Minnesota, where the Reapers, who are trying to get back to Division 1, faced off against Shane Spain, and the Chicago Marauders." Chris said as the footage now showed Reapers running back Tony Forbes break two tackles and take it into the end-zone. "Tony Forbes scored three touchdowns today, but it was all for not as future Hall Of Fame quarterback Shane Spain proved again why he's arguably one of the top five quarterbacks of all time. He threw for over 400 yards and six touchdowns. The Marauders tailback scored two touchdowns of his own, to lead Chicago to a victory. Marauders take it by a score of 56-21." Chris said in an impressed tone.

"Another team trying to get back to Division 1, the Seattle Reign, won their first game of the season today against the Kansas City Crossfire. No offense to speak off in that game as it was a turnover filled nightmare for both offenses. Seattle wins it by a score of 3-0." Chris said as the highlights showed nothing but hard hits by both teams defenses, and a game winning kick by the Reign, followed by the records of all the Division 2 teams.

"Finally let's get to Division 1." Chris said in an excited tone as the logos of the Beavers and the Hurricanes appeared on the screen. The 'Franchise' Jordan Woods was on point today. He's still proving why he's the only two way player in this league. At his quarterback position he threw two touchdown passes. At his linebacker position he had four sacks, a forced fumble and seven tackles. Despite the effort of Beavers tight end Carlos Coto, the Hurricanes win it by a score of 28-10." Chris said as it showed the offensive and defensive numbers for both teams.

"Now we head to New York where the Nightmare squared off against the New England Regulars. Two of the best defenses in the entire league collided in that one. New England, boosted by former Hurricanes free safety Ezekiel Freeman, picked off New York twice in that game, while the Regulars shut down corner 'Packrat' James had twelve tackles and four passes broken up. The Regulars got god field position to start several drives off of takeaway's, but the Nightmare answered the call every time, due to their young star, Max Carson. The Regulars scored the games only touchdown, but five field goals by the Nightmare ultimately sunk the Regulars by a score of 15-10." Chris said as he paused to take a breath as the stats where showed.

"New York and Tampa Bay are two of three Division 1 teams to start the season with a record of 2-0, the only other team with that record is the Grizzlies, getting a win in their home field in Denver, against the Mexico City Aztecs. No surprise Tyler Neal was the hero for the Denver Grizzlies, scoring the game winning touchdown with 25 seconds to play. Grizzlies take it by a score of 27-24." Chris said as the screen now showed Neal's stat line.

"Well week two is officially in the books. Next weeks big Division 3 game is the match-up between the favored Milwaukee Hounds, and the Cleveland Steamers. Division 2's big game is the showdown between the Miami Hammerheads, and the Chicago Marauders. Two future Hall Of Fame quarterbacks are in that game with Julius Williams and Shane Spain. Last but certainly not least is the big Division 1 showdown between the Tampa Bay Hurricanes, and the New York Nightmare. Two teams enter 2-0, but only one will leave 3-0." Chris said in an excited tone.

"Last bit of Blitz League news for the night is that Commissioner Sorenson has once again rejected the appeal for the suspension of the Los Angeles Riot to be lifted. Riot team Captain Bruno Battaglia had some choice words for Mr. Sorenson, that we will not be repeating on air. The Riot will remain suspended till the end of this season, and will forfeit several future draft picks as punishment for their involvement with former Blitz League Commissioner Hanson's crimes while he was Commissioner. Until next time, I'm Chris Benson, good night everyone..."
