Chapter 9- Here Comes the Sun

For the next month Lily was replaying the scene that had happened between her and James every day trying to think about how close she was to kissing James Potter she couldn't believe it and the even scarier thing that was going through her mind was she almost didn't mind kissing James Potter her arch rival for five years and she was disappointed that he didn't kiss her. She was studying in the library thinking about this when her former best friend Severus Snape walked up to talk to her.

"What do you want Snape" Lily asked coldly

"I saw you at the ball and I saw you almost kiss Potter how could you do this to me we always said how much we both hated Potter and then you go out and betray me by almost snogging Potter." Snape accused Lily

Lily scoffed "you betrayed me first by calling me a mudblood and since you made it clear that you don't want to be friends with me because of what your friends think of me I don't think you can tell me who I can be friends with Snape now leave I'm trying to study.

Snape left the library in shock and all he thought was this was Potter's fault if he hadn't provoked him that day, he would still be friends with Lily and with that Snape plotted his revenge on Potter.

It was dark day in the middle of the March and James was walking alone on the grounds when he heard someone in the bushes he took out his wand it was at that moment Snape jumped out of the bush and attacked James.

"Sectumsempra" Snape yelled

James was totally blindsided by this and hit by the curse and Snape smirked and knew that he had defeated Potter and left him there for dead he would finally get Lily back and he finally got his revenge on Potter.

James was suffering as if he had been cut by a thousand knives and he wasn't sure if he was able to stay alive he didn't have the energy to move and was to painful to call for help he dozed off thinking two thinks about Lily and this is how the Potter bloodline would end.

Five minutes after Snape had left Potter to die Lily was wondering the grounds when she saw a bloody body on the grounds she screamed and saw that it was James and that he had been severely hurt she screamed for help and called for a teacher. When help arrived he was taken to the hospital wing and treated but Madam Pomfrey was unable to help as nothing she was doing was working and saying that whatever hit him was dark magic. Then Lily remembered Snape showing her a spell called Sectumsempra and the counter curse to it.

"Madam Pomfrey I think I might be able to heal him" Lily told the nurse.

"Well have a try at it dear nothing I'm doing is working on hm." Madam Pomfrey told Lily

Lily muttered the counter curse and James started to heal up again and with that Madam Pomfrey was able to treat James Lily knowing who created this spell was furious, but she was just happy that James was alive.

James awoke to the most beautiful singing and a bright light James thought that he died and was back in heaven because the voice he was hearing singing was an angel.

Little darling its been a long cold lonely winter little darling it seems like years since it's been here. Here comes the sun do da doo, doo here comes the sun and I say it's all right.

But as James started to come to, he recognized that voice.

"It's all right James" Lily said as James fell back asleep.
