chapter 7: a new Champion
Fox, Krystal, Falco, Fara and Purah, were received by general Peppy, who was eager to hear Fox's story.
Fox trying to start the conversation said " general Peppy, it's-" Peppy then interrupted Fox and said " Come on Fox, for how long have we known each other, just Peppy will do, and tell me what happened, humans in your group? Reunited the team? The last thing I heard of you, was that you were competing for the grand prix of G-Zero" Fox then sighted and said " well, in this last week, things have gotten strange at the very least".
Peppy then looked at Krystal and asked " and how did you come in all this Krystal? you disappeared and become one of the most wanted in the galaxy, Fox, you're like a son to me, we've been friends for years, but please, tell me this is important, I cannot just accept that old friends come here while I have to deal with the biggest threat for the universe"
Fox then said " actually, that's the very reason we came, for starters, we know how to banish that thing, first, this is Purah, a scientist from the homeplanet of that thing" Purah bowed in front of the general and said " it's a pleasure to meet you general, My name is Purah, I used to be the royal family's scientist, I hail from the sheikah tribe, a tribe bounded to the royal family, or that was our mission, but the last descendant perished against this calamity and Ganon, the black entity, escaped to the stars" Peppy intrigued asked " so this Ganon, is the result of some kind of experiment?" Purah shook her head and said " I'm afraid that the nature of Ganon is supernatural, magic in essence, he once was human, and through generations he lost all humanity and sanity until he became the beast we know, we had a plan but, we had many setbacks, the princess didn't awoke her power, we lost our tools to defend ourselves from his grasp and worse of all, we lost all our champions who were to fight Ganon, right now, we have three of the necessary means to beat him, we have one of the champions, Link, we have the Sheikah slate and we have the sacred power sleeping in Krystal, however, those are incomplete, Link has amnesia and thus lost most of his memories, including fighting moves and strategies, everything he can do right now is based on reflex of the body, the Sheikah slate have a limit, we need to study it and find a way to unleash its true power and the sacred power in Krystal is sleeping, she must find a way to awake that power to fight Ganon"
Fox then added " from what we were told, there are other missing components to the plan, it seems that there's a sword capable of fight the black entity hidden somewhere, and only Link can wield it and we need to find the divine beasts" Peppy sat on his chair, closed his eyes and took a deep breath, after a few seconds he exhaled, opened his eyes and said " you want me to believe, that we're dealing with demons, magic and our only hope is a legend of a fairy tail from a world that no one knows about?" Falco then added " Fox, I hate to say it but, the general is right, we sound like madmen for believing this junk"
Fox frowned a bit and said " I know, I know, but this is the exact same situation we had many years ago in Sauria, all that magic stuff, the krazoa spirits, even the spell stones, the planet was being torn apart by magic and power, so much energy that Andross came back to life, something beyond our technology, Peppy, I know this sounds crazy but-" Peppy raised his hand signaling him to stop, then sighted and said " Fox, I do believe you, truly, but what I'm supposed to tell the army, to the galaxy that we plan to use magic spells to banish a threat that's been destroying the life force of the planets and the living beings, look, I can't give you any kind of support unless you have something better than a tablet that I can buy at the street store,I can let you use our med bay, but that's all, as the general I can't give you any pilot or supplies, nor come with you without a solid basis, Fox, if you can find more proof, I'll be able to do something, not before that"
Fox nodded and said " thank you Peppy" but then Peppy said " now, tell me, as a friend, what happened, I heard you and Falco retired from this life" Falco then said " trust me ,I didn't want to get in this, but I can't let my partner to go and get himself killed" Fox smiled and said " well, to be honest, we were racers for a while, one day I met Fara and we… well we started to date, a few days ago, I received a message on the old channel of the team, it was Krystal asking for help, she was stuck on a forgotten planet, Link made me realise that I couldn't just turn my back and reunited the team. To be honest, I didn't think that the whole team would reunite, but after reuniting the team we head to the planet, once there Krystal informed us that Star Wolf was after her head"
Peppy nodded and said " of course they would go after her, the only criminal more wanted than them is the bounty hunter Kursed, if they can bring her back, they would get a pardon and be freed of all charges" Fara then asked " and you can't pardon her?" Peppy shook his head and said " I'm afraid is not that easy, in fact, I should arrest her here and now, the only way she can have a pardon is to actually do something for the galaxy", Krystal nodded and said "alright, we'll destroy Ganon and then you can pardon my crimes" Peppy nodded.
Fox's comm activated, it was Fay who was calling from the Great Fox " Fox, are you there?" Fox responded " yeah, how did it go?" Fay answered " Well, I got patched up, but Link's condition is a bit worse than we thought, cracked bones, shrapnel on his leg, before he can use the regeneration chamber he needs a surgery to retire the shrapnel, but…. it will take time " Fox then asked " how long?" Fay then said " two weeks at best for his recovery from the intervention, and then the restoration on the chamber would take another two weeks" Fox then thought for a moment and asked " Link is okay with this?" Fay then said " I…. managed to convince him but as the leader you have the calls" Krystal then said " Fox, I think Link should stay, we can continue the search for the Master sword and the beasts" Fara then butted in and said " and besides, Star Wolf is still a threat, we cannot lose too much time"
Fox thought for a moment and said " alright, Fay, you'll stay here with Link, take the surgery, we will go back to his home planet to reunite with Purah and the others" Fay then said " acknowledged" and cut the transmission, Fox then said " if anything happens let us know Peppy old pal" Peppy nodded and dismissed the meeting.
Link was immediately prepared for the surgery and the team blasted off to his planet, the hours passed by as they traveled at light speed, Krystal then went to Fox, at the cafeteria, Fox was drinking some coffee, but when Krystal greet him he almost choked, and started to cough almost burning himself, but Krystal with a handkerchief cleaned his shirt, Fox then asked "Krystal, wow, uhm, what a surprise, what do you need ?" Krystal sat on the bench at the other end of the table and asked " how are you holding up? after all… we spoke" Fox looked at his coffee and said " to be honest, I'm really thinking but, is hard to choose, I love you both, but I don't want to hurt you nor Fara, I'm such a mess"
Krystal then looked to a side trying to not get eye contact and said " well, to be honest, I can understand a bit what you feel,it may not be the same, but I felt the same with you and Panther, both of you were so nice to me, you cared about me" Fox then asked " tell me, knowing that one of us would be deeply hurt, how did you choose?" Krystal sighted and looking Fox at his eyes said " I chose poorly, my heart was hurt, my mind was a blur, and my instinct didn't say anything, I acted rashly and in the end I hurt you and Panther, Fox, we won't press, I won't press you but, if you choose Fara, know that I'll always be there for you" Fox smiled and said " thanks, really, that's a relief for my ears" Fara then appeared holding a plate with some potato chips and roasted chicken and sat at Fox's side and asked " what's up guys?"
Fox sighted and asked " Fara, I know what we spoke but, are you really okay with this?" Fara was biting one potato chip and asked " what, you mean what we spoke? yeah, Fox, we owe you that at least, and besides, it is your choice, if you choose one, I'm sure the other will stay at your side, I'll stay if you choose her" Fox then asked " why?" Fara then smiled and said " I suppose that for the same reason she would stay, right? we love you Foxy boy, but it's your call who you'll love, " Fox nodded and said " I suppose….." Krystal got up and said " but you don't have to give an answer yet, you have a lot of time to give an answer, really" Fara got up and Kissing Fox on the head said " yeah, don't think too hard on it , you have plenty of time" and both girls went away, Fox was left with his coffee and his thoughts.
Soon the Ship arrived to the planet, and the alarm sounded to ask to the crew to assemble on the command center, once assembled ROB stopped the light speed, orbiting the planet the ship was ready to land, ROB then activated the comms to contact Kat's team, once activated Fox asked " Kat, Miyu, Lucy, do you copy? the comms were silent for a few minutes, but then Kat's hologram appeared " we're here Fox, what took you so long?" Fox then said " we got…. distracted on Fichina, it took longer than expected, anyway, Slippy and Amanda are with you?" Kat smiled and said " yeah, they arrived not too long ago, we've been trying to find any clue but this Kingdom is quite big, mind giving us a hand hunk?" Fox nodded and said " okay, give us the coordinates and we'll meet you there".
The coordinates that Kat gave them lead them to the north east extreme of the kingdom, it was near a hill and close to the mountain, they landed their ships near what seemed to be another laboratory similar to Purah's lab at Hateno, there they met with Kat and the rest, they sat around a strange machine that was standing lonely at the center of the lab, Fox then explained Link's situation, the time it will take for his recovery was out of their original plans, however Purah said " well, no point on thinking what would've been better, once he can recover his memory he will be a new warrior, trust me, the way he fought, he was almost like a fierce deity, fighting evil single handedly" Krystal then asked " hey Purah, have you found any trace of the divine beasts? or the Master sword?" Purah's face changed to a frustrated expression and said " not at all, the only beast we know for sure is somewhere Daruk's beast, but inside the volcano is too hot, only a Goron would be able to handle it, but….. they went extinct after Ganon's cataclysm and went to the stars, there were some hylans who survived but, the other races, rito, zora, goron, they were annihilated by Ganon's minions"
they grown silent for a few minutes and said " we could seek Vah Rutah's location through sea but, this planet is mostly water, find it would be too hard " Lucy then said " we studied some of the archives inside the castle, inside the princess's tower we found some research documents and says that the divine beasts have some kind of tracking ability to find other divine beasts, we know where is one, but we need to find a way to get into the volcano without burning to crisp" Falco then asked " why not just get inside on the Land master?"Purah sighted and said " because the beast might activate like it did 900 years ago, and even if it doesn't, you need to get inside the beast, which means that you must expose yourself to the heat of the volcano for a few seconds" Fox then asked " and the Master sword? Purah then said " we may have a lead, we separated and searched through the many forests of the kingdom, to the other side of the volcano there's a giant forest, but every time we get inside we end up at the entrance of the forest, is frustrating but it seems that something is preventing us from enter"
Fara then said " well, we must be all tired, it's night now and we should sleep , how 'bout we go to our ships and sleep on the Great Fox, most of the team agreed but Purah denied the idea and said " sorry, I can't , I need to fix this Sheikah forge, with it, and Robbie's notes I could forge equipment for you and for Link" Fara sighted and said alright, we can't let you alone, so two of us will stay here with you" Falco then stood up and said " alright, I'll mount guard" and went to the top of the building ready to take a sniper position in case of any invader, then Kat said " okay, that leaves me as the only option left, if Falco does a stupidity, I can fix it" everyone nodded and they started to go to their ships to go back to the Great Fox, but right when Krystal was about to leave, Purah stopped her and said " hey Krysty, tell me, how've you doing with your new found powers?" Krystal turned around to look at her and said " not very good, to be honest, I only felt it when Link was dying on that small isle" Purah then said " don't worry, you'll awake it when the time comes, okay?" Krystal smiled and went back to her ship and flew back to the Great Fox.
Once on the Great Fox Krystal went straight to her room, and placed her staff on the side of the bed, she hop onto her bed and crossed her legs taking a meditation pose, closed her eyes and breathing deeply she tried to focus, she could feel her aura, and yet, something powerful stirring inside her soul, something powerful,it was a golden shine, but as much as Krystal tried to contact that golden shine, it wouldn't react to her voice, after a few tries the golden energy flashed her almost as a reaction, blinded she felt a voice coming from afar, it was a strange voice, one that she had never heard before, it was soothing and yet it wasn't a normal voice, it called her to come to the forest, to find the blade, at that moment Krystal woke up from her trance and looked how all the furniture and objects in her room were floating around and when she lost focus they smashed against the floor, she looked at the disaster and said to herself " I need to be more careful when I meditate, but… what was that voice?"Soon Krystal started to yawn, ready to sleep. She just took her clothes off and wrapped herself up to the bed sheets as she quickly fell asleep.
On her sleep Krystal could hear that strange voice, unable to understand what was happening, she could only see a sword calling, then from the sword a strange figure appeared before her, it was a strange female figure without arms, black leggins with light blue stripes crossing on themselves covered her legs completely, wearing what seemed to be a purple full body dress with the skirt short to cover part of her thighs, what looked like some sort of of purple and light blue cape acting as her unexisting arms, her neck and head looked like if they were made of some sort of crystal, a face without expression looked at her and as soon as she spoke, her words were unhearable and yet, Krystal could understand some of them " the successor awaits their awakening, bring them to be Champions" Krystal unconscious and yet her mind talked for her asked " how? the mountain is just too hot", the being then spoke and from what Krystal could understand " have courage the divine beasts will test their new pilots" soon the figure started to disappear into blackness.
Krystal woke up at the next day and saw how her room was still a wreckage, she just went to the shower to refresh her head as she tried to understand what she dreamed about, as soon as she got out she wore her usual clothes and went to the Command center, where she was greeted by her teammates, Fox then opened the meeting " alright guys, we need to find a way to get into the volcano and a way to get into forest without getting lost" everyone nodded as Krystal then said " Fox, I think…. I know how to get into Vah Rhudania"
Fox then surprised asked " really? how?" Krystal took a deep breath and said " I had a dream, in there there was a girl who told me that this is a test, it is meant to test the courage of their possible new pilot" Slippy then said " but Krystal, it's way too hot, we'll burn to crisp in seconds in there, no matter how brave can be anyone, you'll need to be made of stone or metal to not burst in flames" Fox then said " wait, it may be dumb but, can you create some sort of ointment ? something that can protect our fur and feathers?" Falco then asked " you mean something like the coolant of our ships to stop them from melting?" Fox nodded and Slippy said " it is possible to create it but, the effects would be short lived, you would have to apply it once on the summit"
Fox then said " alright, Krystal, Fara, I want you with me, Falco, bring Purah here so she can help Slippy to create that" Fara, Krystal , Falco nodded, a few minutes later, the team was reunited and the Great Fox flew closer to the south end of the mountain trail, once there a few hours passed as Purah and Slippy were preparing the fire-proof ointment, Fox was preparing the Landmaster, a tank with all terrain features with the logo on the sides of the blue bangs on the sides of the tank, Fox then stopped and said to himself " it's been a while since I piloted this thing, let's see how it goes" Slippy, Purah, Krystal and Fara appeared from the main door signaling that the ointment was ready and so the three of them hopped onto the Landmaster, Fox on the driver's seat, Fara and Krystal were on special seats behind the driver, Fox drove the tank to the open hatch to fall into the ground, but activated some propulsors to soften the fall, the tank started to follow the trail on the mountain.
they barely started to climb the mountain and yet they could already feel the heat inside the Landmaster, they encountered some resistance from the monsters living in the mountain but nothing that some blasts from the Landmaster couldn't help, fiery living slobs crawled to the tank, those pig faced monsters ran from the tank , lizard like creatures tried to burn it down but no avail, the Landmaster crushed everything on its path, after a few hours of driving upward the volcano they finally reached the mouth of the volcano, the tank activated the propulsors to fly a bit so it could get into the very top of the mountain to see the interior.
Inside the volcano they could see a strange structure made of what it seemed to be some special stone, it had the figure of some sort of lizard, with many eyes on its face, the tip of the tail looked like a giant hammer and the feet were covered in flames, and the light coming from the beast was of a dark pink color, as soon as the beast saw them it roared, the crew inside the Landmaster covered their ears to that shriek but as soon as they did that, the beast launched from hatches on the joints of its limbs to the body some magma bombs straight to the Landmaster, the damage was fairly low but the impact made them fall into the mountain's upper body, the beast crawled out of the interior of the mountain and started to hit with the hammer on the tip of its tail the mountain itself starting an eruption, the rocks falling from the sky were ignited and covered in lava, Fox tried to maneuver through the rain but some of the lava proyectiles hit the landmaster, the shield of the hull was fairly damaged, Fox then aimed at the beast and said " let me return the salute!" and fired against the beast, barely scratching it, the creature then opened up its head revealing some kind of antenna on the interior, then started to charge a black energy orb on the tip, Fox then asked" what is doing?" then from the comm system Purah's voice echoed " guys be careful, that's the strongest attack of the beast, it's a beam that can pierce the landscape"
Krystal asked then " what do we do? we can't fly away, the Landmaster isn't fast enough" Fara then said " Fox, try to shoot a smart bomb into the antenna!" without thinking it Fox did as Fara instructed and shoot the smart bomb, the red projectile flew into its mouth, the explosion interrupted the charge up and the head close itself again, now it seemed hurted the beast growled again, then started to shoot the lava bombs, but from the sky the sky claw, Falco's ship appeared and destroyed the bombs with the beams of his ship, Fox then took the chance and shot another smart bomb into the neck of the beast, the damage seemed to be decent, but the divine beast wasn't going to give up yet, and from the hatches some kind of drones came out tailing Falco with some beams of their own, Falco tried to lose them but they wouldn't let him go, the ship got hit by some lasers of the drones, seeing his friend in troubles, Fox stopped attacking the beast and started to shoot charged shots of his own against the drones, swarming in groups the charged shot exploded in an energy burst and the drones exploded , the beast growled again and started to hammer down the mountain,both, the Sky claw and the Landmaster were very damaged against the lava shower, but when it seemed that the beast was about to crush Fox ,Fara and Krystal with its gigantic foot Fox shot his last smart bomb into the belly of the beast.
As the beast growled the flames on its feet burned out and its movement ceased for a moment, then the beast opened some parts of its hull and a steam wave gushed out of every part of the beast, then it started to move again back to the volcano's interior, Fox followed it back and with the Landmaster they descended into its backtail, Fox while descending asked "hey Falco, you're okay?" Falco pissed then said " did you see my ship?! does it look ok to you?!, you owe me this one!" soon the Sky claw went back to the Great Fox, soon the Landmaster landed on the beast and right before leaving the tank, they applied the fire-proof ointment into their bodies and left the tank, once there Fox took a royal broadsword from Link's room, its hilt was made of gold and special metals, the hand guard golden shiny, with a blade with a peculiar design, the blade grows thin on the middle section of the blade itself and has carved some strange words on it, the scabbard was pinkish, not his style but nothing he could do about it, Fara had her blaster in hand and a torch on her belt, Krystal with her staff and a blaster, Fox then took Krystal's Sheikah slate and put it in front of the pedestal near of the wall, there an electronic voice echoed " Sheikah slate verified, activating warp point" then the strange circle in the ground started to shine and the wall into the creature opened, surprised they heard a voice.
"what? Who's there? who are you ?" it was a man's voice, a bit old, like almost oldman, but it had strength on his voice, Fox then asked " are you the one who attacked us?" the voice then echoed " what? of course not, I'm trapped inside the beast, you have to escape fast or you'll end up like me!" Fara then said " actually, we came here because we want to recover this vehicle" the voice soon answered " you came for Rhudania eh? Well, since you were able to fight it, I think you deserve the chance to try, but first, you'll need the map of the beast's interior, can you make it to the guidance stone?" then Krystal said " let's hurry, Slippy said that the ointment wouldn't last longer than three hours", they nodded and head into the beast's interior, it was pitch black as the beast closed itself completely, Krystal used her staff's power to give away a source of light, Fara with her torch started to light up the torches with the ancient fire, one by one they opened up the gates inside the beast until they reached the guidance stone, there Fox put the sheikah slate into the socket, once installed the stone above started to shine, soon a liquid dropped as a droplet into the screen of the slate, then on it the map and blueprints of the beast, there were some shining points in certain areas of the beast and then the voice echoed again " well done, now, if you want to recover Vah Rhudania, you must first activate all five terminals that are shown in your map, once done that I'll tell you what to do, now get to move on" they nodded and started to head to the points.
it took a long time, but thanks to the sheikah slate's runes they were able to solve some of the puzzles in the beast to access some of the terminals, other puzzles needed some creativity but finally they managed to activate every terminal, then the voice echoed " Excellent, now, head to the main control unit, it is shown in the map as a big dot, head to it and be careful" they saw that the main control unit was on the back of the beast, soon they were able to get to the back without too much problem, once there Fox put the slate on the pedestal, but as soon as he did that a strange fluid came out of the pedestal and the whole unit, soon the black goop joined together and it started to morph into a strange and vile creature, it was humanoid, but it lacked everything below the hips, his body was huge but his left arm was too slender compared to the rest of the body, instead of a right hand he had a giant beam blade, he had some kind of mask or helmet covering his head it was high the mask or helmet with a constellation design of three stars united on both sides of the mask or helmet and on the middle was some sort of face design, with a single blue eye and had long red hair coming out on both sides of the head giving the feeling like if they were flames, the body itself was made of that blackish goop.
The voice then echoed "careful, that thing is way too strong, 900 hundred years ago I fought against that thing, but it got me, it's strong…. and ugly!" the creature shrieked and was preparing to do a vertical slice, but they avoided the attack taking distance, Fox sheathed his sword and took the blaster and started to shoot at it , Krystal with her staff started to fire her fire blasts and Fara used her blaster too, the monster was too slow to catch them as they were taking distance, and even when it teleported around they would hit him with the ranged attacks, until it got tired and summoned fire unto his sword and shining in an orange light created a barrier surrounding him, the team kept shooting but now, nothing could harm him, then it started to charge the air around him into his hand, the voice echoed and said " take cover! it's gonna expel a heat wave! " Krystal activated the barrier of her staff and Fox with Fara took cover behind the main control unit, suddenly the creature expelled a heatwave burning everything around them, they got out of their hiding spots and tried to fight again but no avail, then the creature did an horizontal slash and even though they avoided the blade, fire started to form from the gusts of wind it released, the voice then said "if only you could do a strong attack , almost as an explosion or an earth wrecking hit"
Krystal then called Fox, and he nodded, Fox called Fara to distract the creature as Krystal started to climb on the highest point of the beast, avoiding the fire and the strikes, the monster threw at them embers from his fingertips, Fox activated his reflector to deflect the embers, the creature started to charge up the heat again, the voice echoed " look out, it's gonna heat up again!" Krystal then jumped from the arc on the back of the divine beast into the monster with her staff charged up with telluric energy, asn she hit the barrier it created a shock wave strong enough to cause an earthquake into the barrier and into the body of the monster, the barrier shattered and the monster collapsed into the ground, Fox then unsheathed the sword and started to slash the creature as fast and strongly as he could, Krystal also tried to freeze the monster with the ice blast of her staff Fara was shooting with her old blaster, the creature tried to get up but Fox then stabbed the monster on the chest making it shriek in pain,it teleported away and reappeared on the center of the back area. it started to wriggle in pain and then the goop started to gush out of his body, on his shrieks it exploded into nothingness.
The main control unit started to shine and a strange jewel in shape of a heart appeared from where the creature was on the explosion and slowly fell into the ground almost floating, and without losing balance it stood the heart shaped jewel, asl Fox took the jewel, it disappeared and felt full of vitality, trying to control his burst of energy Fox put the slate again on the pedestal, this time an electronic voice echoed "sheikah slate verified, activating main control unit" . From a side, a fat and yet corpulent creature, wearing little more than a loincloth stood in front of them, his face covered in white hair and beard, fat lips and a small nose, his eyes were almost completely dark blue, his skin brown and his back seemed to be rubbish like a stone like skin, his legs were short but his arms were big, the creature then said " Well done , I have to admit, you sure impressed this old goron" Fox then said " so, you were the one who was speaking us while we were traveling inside the beast" the goron nodded and said " I'm Daruk, Champion of the goron and pilot of the divine beast Vah Rhudania….or at least I used to, that creature made me this, and now, the goron went extinct, I lost everything… and yet I couldn't move on, not only because I was a prisoner of that monster, but also because I had a debt with the kid…. it was my fault that I couldn't beat it when I should have, and I couldn't help him… tell me my furry friend, what do you treasure the most?"Fox then said " my friends, my loved ones, I want to protect them" Daruk then smiled and said" at least, I'm happy to see that even beyond what I once knew, there are people who cherish the bonds of friendship, love and family, I want to give you something, something that , as a spirit,won't do much for me, take it as a signal that you're the new champion, and pilot of Vah Rhudania, now, receive this! the mighty Daruk 's protection!"
Daruk clapped his hands together and when he separate them again an energy started to flow out of his hands forming an orb, and when he punched it to Fox, it disappeared into his being, then Fox felt another energy surge inside his body and when he punched his fist together a barrier appeared around him, as he lost focus the barrier disappeared and he got surprised, Daruk then said " I…. may not be able to put my regrets to rest, but, if I can help you to protect the ones you love, I'll be able to rest easy, please….if you find that kid…. tell him…. I'm sorry…." As soon as Daruk stopped talking his figure disappeared into thin air, Fox looked at his hands and said " I won't' fail you" Krystal then said " uhm Fox? not to interrupt or anything but, we have ten minutes left before we burn down " then Fox reacted and said " right, now…. how do we move this thing?" Then the beast started to move on its own, surprised Fox asked " how is it doing that?" then Krystal said " it works like my staff, it follows your thoughts" Fox then added " so if I think in climb out of the mountain" Fara then continued " it should lead us out" Fox followed that idea and the beast climbed out of the mouth of the volcano and finally climbed out of the mountain, now, they were safe on the south end of the mountain, the Great Fox came down to receive the team back into the ship as now, they had accomplished one goal.
now inside the Great Fox they made another briefing, Fox opened the meeting "well team, we did it, we recovered one of the divine beasts and now, I was named pilot of Rhudania, with this, I'm sure Purah, will find a way to find the other beasts, right?" Purah nodded and said "yup, with this I can use their trackings systems to find the other's locations, although I'll need the Sheikah slate for a while ,I'll try to make a sheikah slate for everyone, just in case" Falco then asked " so… how long it will take until you find the next target?" Purah sighted and said" at least until Link's recovery, keep in mind that only me and Slippy are working on this and worse yet, this isn't my specialty so, if you want to use your time, then go and try to get through the lost woods without getting lost" Falco groaned and said " whatever" and went away from the meeting, Krystal then asked "Purah, can you help me? I've been having these strange dreams lately" Purah then quickly said " well, it is normal, since you inherited the sacred power, you must have the same kind of sensibility as the princess when she was alive, don't worry, that could mean that you're closer to awake your power somehow" Krystal smiled a bit and Fox then said " well, nothing we can do for now, we will wait until we have more information or news on Link's end for now, you can go now, the briefing is over" and so the team went everyone to their own rooms or visit facilities in the ship to relax, as for Purah and Slippy they were in the laboratory experimenting with the sheikah slate, Fox got to his room, barely taking his boots off he just collapsed on his bed barely managing to keep himself conscious, but for a moment, Daruk's words came to his mind(protect those who I cherish the most…. I'll protect them!) Soon, his eyes closed on their own and without even covering himself with the sheets he just fell asleep due to the exhaustion from the fight.
