She had no idea what to expect, she was just told what the vids described them as. At first she could not see his face, just the long, hard spikes that formed from the front of his head to the back of his skull. With one hand still under his, she raised the other to feel the spikes, his head still down refusing to show his face.
A deep rumble came from his chest the second she made contact. She flinched away, scared she upset him until he pressed it back into her hand and the rumble started again. She giggled at the sound he emitted and his desire to be touched by her. She felt him almost look up, but stopped before she could even see his eyes. She continued tracing her hand towards his foreheadand down his cheekbones, before cupping it under his jaw. She felt him stiffen when she urged him to lift his head.
"It's ok." She cooed, and he relaxed. Slowly, almost cautiously, he bought his head up, gripping her hand tighter. She had to hold back a gasp threatening to escape, her lungs begging for air. His skin was almost silver in the dim light, with blue markings like war paint across its nose and cheekbones. His disjointed jaw bones on either side of his face tightened closer to his face.
His obvious alien structure isn't what surprised her, it was his electric blue eyes that glowed in the darkness. His jaws twitched and fluttered as a series of dual toned hums vibrated from the mouth underneath them. She felt him shift to put his helmet back on.
"No no no, it's ok." She hushed, moving her hand down the side of its outer jaw, tracing it lightly.
"It's ok."
Garrus almost melted under her touch, his head leaning deeper into her hand. She wasn't scared of him, at least not in the way most humans are. She didn't scream or run, so he was taking that as a good start. When he looked back up at her, he swore her expression was of awe. It was her first time actually seeing an alien after all.
Her eyes searched every inch of his face in the dim light, her hand letting go of his to feel him with both tiny hands. Her mouth slightly open in amazement as her fingers ran over every crevice and ridge on his plates. He couldn't stop the purr of pleasure filling his chest. Spirits, she's so soft. He felt the urge to feel her again. He reached his hands up to do the same, only then realizing his one hand remained gloved.
Not wanting to leave the warmth of her skin, he used his teeth to remove the glove and discarded it in his lap. She gasped a little when she saw them, but he still smelled no fear on her, just those sweet earthly flowers. He reached up shakily to pet her cheek with the backside of his taloned finger, her eyes closed and she let her head fall into his hand.
"Spirits you are so unbelievably soft." He purred. She smiled, ignorant to his words. His other hand reached up to run his three fingers through her human fringe, being careful to not scratch her scalp. The strands flowed freely though his fingers, like water.
