FIFTEEN
Wednesday evening
(Five months later)
Edward is the room of some random Drama fresher; he can tell by the Hamilton poster and pillow of the theatre masks propped up the single bed. The air is musty, tinged with the scent of cheap vodka and beer, and he swears that someone is already throwing up in the bathroom. He is surprised no one has called security yet.
He stands by the dresser in a group of five others. He knows one, Leah, who he met on the first day of his welcome week and they clicked almost immediately. It was nice to be friends with a girl that he couldn't have sex with. Not that he hadn't tried. She kindly told him that they batted for the same team.
Tanya comes over, offering him another bottle of beer. He agrees and she cracks off the top. Froth starts to spill over the top and she sucks it away seductively before passing it to him.
"She wants you so badly after last week, Cullen," Leah teases once Tanya is out of earshot. "Not as though I couldn't hear how much fun you were having myself."
"You love sharing a wall with me, Clearwater."
"Tell that to my fucked-up sleep schedule. I'm starting to hear thudding in my dreams."
Edward chuckles and takes a sip from his bottle. Tanya must have been wearing flavoured lip-gloss because there is a faint strawberry taste to the neck. He looks over at her.
Tanya and her posse of cheerleaders have nestled in a corner of the room and erupt into giggles when they see Edward looking. While it was flattering to get this much attention, Edward almost wished he'd stayed at home. A joint football and cheer social hadn't seemed like a good idea from the start.
"She does look good in a pair of short-shorts, you know."
"You really don't need to tease a poor lesbian like me. I'll be waiting for my Tanya to come along at some point."
Later that night, as he thrust into the moaning blonde beneath him, Edward tried to picture her hair in a dark braid.
He didn't last long after that.
Last update for the day probably! The story has developed in time so Edward and Bella are now in university - we're gonna be introduced to a whole new bunch of characters and some new dynamics too!
Also, don't worry, I'm listening to ya - Edward's not gonna get off scott free for what he did!
