Christmas Countdown: Today is December 9th which means 16 days til Christmas!
Leo looks at the sleeping form of Calypso in bed next to him.
"Calypso?" He whispers. She doesn't answer or move.
He takes that as a sign to move. He slips out of bed carefully, making sure not to wake Calypso. He makes his way out their bedroom to the kitchen where he hid the mistletoe. He grabs all of it, plus tape, and makes his way around the house, hanging all the mistletoe in all the doorways.
Once he's done, he heads back to the room. Leo looks at the Calypso peacefully sleeping, her chest rising and falling at a steady rate. He smiles before slipping back into bed next to her.
Calypso wakes to see the bathroom light on. She gets out of bed, making her way to the bathroom. She sees Leo at the counter, rinsing his mouth with mouth wash.
"You're up early," she says, grogginess in her voice. She hugs him from behind, resting her head on his back.
He spits out the mouth rinse, wiping his face. Leo turns around, Calypso still holding him.
"Sunshine, look up and behind you," Leo tells her, smirking. She does. Mistletoe is hanging in the doorway.
"Seriously?" Calypso asks.
"Yep. You know you want to kiss me," Leo says.
"Fine."
Calypso leans in, kissing Leo. Leo's hands go to hips, holding her as she kisses back. Calypso pulls away. She stares at him, lips slightly parted.
"Okay, let me get ready," she says, patting his chest. She turns, walking out the bathroom to change into clothes and then get ready in the bathroom. Once she's done, she starts strolling out the room.
"Ah, ah, ah, wait a second." Leo tells her, getting up from the bed.
"What?" She asks, turning around. He looks up, motioning for her to follow. She does. "Leo."
"Hey, it's rule to kiss the other person who's under the same mistletoe as you," Leo says, taking quick strides to meet Calypso under the doorframe.
She shakes her head at her boyfriend's antics. She gives him another kiss before walking out. Leo follows her. They head to the kitchen. Calypso looks up to see if Leo placed another mistletoe at the entrance.
Sure enough, he did.
She turns around to see a smirking Leo.
"You know, you can just ask for kisses," she says, placing her hands on her hips.
Leo shrugs. "That's boring."
"Oh my gods," Calypso mutters before leaning in to kiss Leo again.
What's this? Their third kiss just this morning? Fourth?
"We need to go grocery shopping today," Calypso says, grabbing the cereal box. Leo grabs the milk from the fridge.
"Ugh, grocery shopping," he complains. Calypso looks at him. "I mean, yay, grocery shopping."
They sit down, eating their breakfast.
"Remember, whenever there is mistletoe, you must kiss me. No matter if you've already kissed me before," Leo tells her.
"Leo, I swear if there's mistletoe above my chair..." she trails off, leaving the threat hanging. Leo just smiles cheekily.
Calypso looks up and groans.
"Kiss me, my love," Leo says.
"Ugh."
Calypso leans in, kissing Leo. Leo smiles into the kiss.
"You are an amazing kisser," Leo mumbles against her lips.
She pulls away.
"Hurry up, I don't want to stay at the grocery store all day." She tells him.
"Yes, ma'am," Leo says, giving her a salute. She rolls her eyes, but the corner of her lips quirk upwards.
Leo scarfs down his cereal, Calypso being more civilized at eating her cereal. Leo takes their bowls to the sink, leaving them their.
"Let's go grocery shopping cart Sunshine," Leo says, dragging Calypso to the front of their apartment.
Leo stops in the middle of the doorway, pointing upwards.
"Oh my gods, Leo," Calypso groans. "That's it I'm refusing."
"Refusing to kiss me? I am offended." Leo says, putting a hand on his chest and acting way more offended then what he should be. "Mrs. War on Christmas." He mumbles.
"You're lucky I love you." Calypso says before leaning to give Leo a peck on the lips.
She then drags him down the steps, the cold hitting them like a brick wall.
"Come here," Calypso says, throwing one of Leo's arms over her and pulling him close for his heat.
"I feel so used right now." He tells her.
"You'll be fine." She replies.
"If you're so cold, why didn't we take the elevator?" Leo asks as they walk down the stairs.
"Because that thing takes forever," she tells him.
"True, true."
They get to Leo's car. Leo hops in the drivers side. As Calypso goes to get in, something brushes against her forehead. She looks up to see mistletoe. More freaking mistletoe.
"Leo! This is like the seventh time. Where is all this mistletoe coming from?!" She shouts, throwing her hands up. She looks at Leo.
"I don't know," he says, shrugging and holding back a smirk.
"You are too much." She says, leaning in again to kiss her crazy boyfriend.
Leo walks out from their bedroom, heading to the kitchen. Calypso meets him in the hallway. She holds one of the mistletoes above his head, smirking.
"If I remember correctly, you have to kiss whoever's under the same mistletoe as you." She muses.
"Oh, you are good." Leo says, smirking back.
Leo grabs her by her waist, pulling her to him. Calypso throws her arms around his neck as he captures her lips.
"I know." She whispers, pulling away just enough to say that. She leans back in to kiss him.
