HotXbun: So you don't get confused later in the chapter, 'Hakase (to my knowledge) in the Japanese honorific used for someone with very high academic expertise. Please feel free to correct if I'm wrong.
Also, Takaya appears in RWBY: The Grim Campaign.
Chapter 7 Takaya
Ren's POV
One Hour Later
Nora and I had made it to the school.
"Wow", she said in awe. "This place is amazing!"
"You can say that again", I agreed.
Then...a group of kids walked up to us.
"Well well well", one of them started. "What do we have here?"
"It looks like we have a couple of street rats on our hands", another one replied.
"Who are you calling street rats", Nora asked angrily, resulting in me holding her back.
"Are you going to try and get into the school", one of the kids asked.
"Yes", I replied, resulting in the kids laughing.
"I can't believe it", one of them started. "You two street rats actually believe that they'll let you in? They'll never let in a couple of lowlife like you."
This was the last straw for Nora.
She got out of my grasp...and pounced one of the kids!
"Nora", I yelled out. "Don't do that! Please stop!"
With that, I tried to get to Nora and pull her off the kid, but before I could, another two of them held me back!
"What are you doing", I asked angrily as I tried to break free from their grasp. "Let me go!"
After I said this...the kid that was wrestling with Nora managed to pin her to the ground!
"Get off of me", she demanded.
Then...she kicked the boy off of her before getting up and punching the kids that were holding me in their stomachs, resulting in them falling to the ground.
"This was a bad idea", Nora stated.
"Agreed", I said. "Let's get out of here."
But before we could...we heard this.
"What's going on here", we heard somebody say.
Then we looked up...and saw a man.
"Takaya-Hakase", one of the kids started before getting up. "These two street rats started fighting us!"
This made Nora and I scared. However, the man then said something that took us by surprise.
"I see", he started. "And tell me, why do you call them street rats?"
This took all of us by surprise.
"Um...", one of the kids started. "Because they are street rats."
"No", the man stated. "They are not. They are children that happen to live on the streets, and they deserve to learn here just as much as any other child."
"But...", one of the kids started.
"But nothing", the man stated sternly. "Here at Tengoku everybody is treated equally regardless of where they come from."
"Whatever", one of the kids said before looking at their friends. "Let's go guys."
With that, the kids left.
"Thank you", I said.
"You're welcome", the man said. "I am Tayaka. I am the headmaster of Tengoku."
