Shadow x Rouge: Agents In Love
Chapter Seven: Jewelry Shopping and Relaxing At the Spa
No more and no less than a few weeks had passed since Shadow and Rouge started dating and all was going well for them, no drama between them, nobody like Eggman ruining their happiness. Everything had worked out smoothly, that was a good thing.
One afternoon, the two agents were visiting the incredible metropolis of Station Square, walking the sidewalks and through the streets, taking in the sights and enjoying themselves as best as they could.
Shadow wore a pair of dark shades over his eyes, he'd just bought those from a shop not very long after he and Rouge arrived in the city, and Rouge wore decent red gloves, high heels and a sleeveless purple dress that highlighted her figure.
Station Square was very busy and full with cars and various vehicles driving along the road in different directions while humans and anthromorphic animals roamed around, either touring, going to work or going shopping; the usual day to day city life.
At one point, Rouge took fascination with the local jewelry store and stopped by to look at it, pressing her face and almost the rest of her body against the glass so she could see the pretty jewelry, especially since she loved jewels so much.
"Would you like something from the jewelry store?" Shadow asked, noticing the bat's jewel-loving behavior, he hadn't seen Rouge's fascination with jewels in quite sometime but never forgot that she was into gems and was a gem thief working for G.U.N.
"How decent of you to offer to give me something jewelry related, handsome?" Rouge gave the dark hedgehog a happy kiss on the cheek, "Yes, I'd love to get something from that store, perhaps as a gift from you to me?"
The bat handed the Ultimate Life Form her wallet and instructed him to walk inside and find her the best piece of jewelry a woman could ever have, Shadow took the wallet and walked through the door, the bell chiming as it opened.
"Welcome, can I help you, monsieur?" The shop manager asked, he spoke with a French accent and had a black moustache along with sweetly combed hair and wore a dark suit. 'A French jewelry store, eh?' Shadow thought, 'That's interesting.'
"Yes," Shadow replied, "I'm looking for something my jewel loving girlfriend would love so much, she's into a lot of jewels."
"Something your girlfriend would love." Custau repeated, "Well, friend. We do have ze Parie Francoi, a diamond necklace made in France."
The man brought out a necklace lined with diamonds of various colors, clear blue and clear white. Looking at it, Shadow saw how pretty the gems looked and his mind told him that Rouge would love this. He could already see the bat filled with happiness.
"How much for the Parie Francoi diamond necklace?" The dark hedgehog asked.
"Three dollars, monsieur. We initially sold it at seventy five but, eh, too expensive."
Shadow reached into Rouge's wallet and brought out a three dollar check, "It's a deal, I'll buy the necklace." Custau shook his hand and gave him the necklace, but not before bringing out a gold bracelet with red gems. "How about zis too, monsieur?"
Seeing the bracelet intrigued the Ultimate Life Form, he'd just gotten a necklace for Rouge but that bracelet looked interesting, maybe the bat would love a bracelet too?
"Hmmm." Shadow pondered, examining the bracelet, "How much for that one and where did you come across a bracelet like that one?"
"Four dollars, I've had zis for ages now, I first found it after ze Black Arms were defeated, apparently a Black Arms soldier was wearing one."
"So, this is a Black Arms bracelet, is it safe? We are dealing with alien relics..."
"Monseur hedgehog, ze bracelet is harmless, we have made sure of that."
"Very well, I'll gladly buy it along with the necklace for my girlfriend."
Paying a few more dollars for the bracelet, Shadow said 'adieu' to the Frenchman and walked out with the bracelet and necklace in hand, finding Rouge waiting close by. When she saw the items, her eyes widened and the bat let out a soft cry of joy.
"Oh, Shadow. Thank you so much." Rouge slipped on the bracelet upon her wrist and the necklace over her neck, her eyes seemed to well up with tears, until the bat wiped them away as she hugged her boyfriend and kissed him on the cheek.
"You're welcome, Rouge." Shadow said, hugged the bat gently right back, before they left the store behind, hand in hand as Rouge regarded the diamond necklace and the bracelet, feeling happy to have gotten her hands on more jewelry.
They were just taking a left down a nearby street when the bat tugged on Shadow's arm and stopped, showing him something close by; The Diamond Spa. "Fancy a trip to the spa today?" The bat asked sweetly, whispering in his ear.
Shadow looked ahead across the street, spotting the nearby spa building that had a diamond over the 'Diamond Spa' logo. He thought about it for a few seconds, the dark hedgehog had passed by a few spas and never thought of going to one, so maybe...?
"Hmph, why not?" The Ultimate Life Form replied, "I could use some relaxation and we are spending our time off from G.U.N buisness wisely."
Rouge kissed the hedgehog on the cheek and they walked across the street towards the building, breathing in the afternoon air as cars stopped and the drivers patiently waited to let them pass, especially when a street light had just turned red.
The duo made it across and walked through the door, into the white-marble colored building where they were greeted by the receptionist, a tan skinned, brown haired woman in a white dress with a name tag that said 'Lizzy Q' on it.
"Welcome to the Diamond Spa," Lizzy said, "Are we here to relax?"
"Yes." Rouge replied, "We're here for a refreshing, relaxing spa treatment."
"Right this way." Lizzy lead them into the main spa room with blanketed massage tables and a hot tub. Rouge thanked Lizzy before she and Shadow headed over to the massage table where two massuses were ready.
A couple minutes later after changing out of their current articles of clothing, Shadow and Rouge lay upon two massage tables apart from each other, feeling relaxed as a woman rubbed Shadow's back and a muscular man massaged Rouge's back.
Shadow held back the urge to sigh and remained quiet even as Rouge let out a small sigh, the dark hedgehog was finding himself feeling more relaxed than ever, well after all the hardships he'd gone through, why didn't he think of this before?
Rouge had visited a few spas over the years, including after the Space Colony ARK debacle when she needed some relaxation after all that had happened there. In fact, the bat had a spa room of her own over at Club Rouge.
The two got their massages done and hit the hot tub, sitting in the steamy water as it eased any aches and stress in their body, with green lettuce-y objects over both eyes, and they smelled the lotus flowers and candles adding to the experience.
Both bat and hedgehog held hands and continued relaxing in the hot water before getting back on the massage table for more back massages, getting in as much relaxation as possible. Being here felt refreshing, Rouge had made the right suggestion.
In fact, Shadow had made the right choice in agreeing to go here with the bat. He'd felt a bit tense and under some stress related to G.U.N work and protecting the world as he fulfilled Maria's last wish for quite a while.
Rouge and Shadow stayed at the spa for about half an hour before they decided it was time to leave and got changed back into their other outfits, thanked the receptionist and headed out, hand in hand.
As both gem lover and hedgehog-alien hybrid left the spa, they thought about what they would do later, deciding to go over to the diner for a nice dinner after sundown. In fact, it was getting later in the afternoon and sundown was getting close.
In fact, since the sun was about to get low, what did this mean? 'Dinnertime.'
