Howdy, Howdy, let's get rowdy!
So last chapter was long as fuck, and I am not kidding it was 6,099 words. 6,099! I was on a role last chapter but damn was that long. We went from being with Serenity and her family, learning that Serenity's dark side name is Ember thanks to Aizawa.

Then we switched to Bakugo's point of view while he wrote an form of apology for her in order to save his own hide, then back to Serenity's where even though she wasn't really in the mood to work on Bakugo's gauntlets and recalibrating them. We also learned that she has scales now which she didn't before, and that she wears her fangs as earrings and as a necklace. We also learn that she just needs to wear one, but she wears all three to prevent any chance of her from losing control. However, when she does tests like recalibration for Bakugo's gauntlets she takes off the earrings and wears her scales as armor, to try and protect herself when things go wrong.

However, when we switch back to Bakugo's point of view where he went to go and find her with Aizawa Sensei to give her his apology things didn't go so well. During the recalibration test where she tested the gauntlets, the blast threw her back into a wall with some spare parts that knocked her out and allowed Ember to take over. Aizawa tried to hide the fact that Ember was in control and not Serenity but failed when Bakugo didn't listen and decided to snap back. He almost listened but by that point it was too late.

Now some of you might question why Ember went straight to choking him, well that was to one get him to pass out and possibly kill him and two to also prevent him from using his quirk on her which we learn can knock her our since she is Serenity's quirk and relies on the use and ability of her quirk to even be in control like that. Transformation quirks are fun, aren't they?

Thankfully though, even though he was more in the way than anything, Bakugo was able to distract Ember for a little bit. Speaking of Ember, we learn a little more about her. First, she was surprised that Bakugo wasn't scared of her, and also excited because she usually considers people like that as toys to play with. Second, she doesn't like insults too much as we see when Bakugo calls her lizard, along with the fun fact that she hates being called Shin'nen, and also didn't really like being called a hag. Third, we learned that her scales (Serenity's scales? Her scales? How do I word that correctly? Maybe just their scales? I don't know) are immune to Bakugo's explosions. Cool right?

Now Bakugo is the only student that knows of Serenity's curse. People who have seen her quirk really just think its that. A quirk. Bakugo is the first that has ever seen or met Ember and there is a good reason why. As we already know Serenity doesn't have friends and really just hangs out with her family or isolates herself in her room because she doesn't want to hurt anyone. Now, however, it's going to be a bit different. Aizawa Sensei revealed that she might die sooner than the age of 25 because she doesn't have has much control as before and is forcing Bakugo to be her friend because he the cause of it in his mind because of the explosion attack that he used against her when Ember was in control.

Switching back to Serenity's point of view we see that she doesn't want to be anywhere near him and runs away from him only to lead to a chase scene because Bakugo wasn't done talking. Though he still didn't really finish because Serenity saw what she did to him. Bakugo tried to hide it to because he didn't want to scare her (he failed at that) and did his usual tough guy act, to try and get her to drop the subject from him. However, this pissed Serenity off and caused her to snap back at him, (which she isn't used to doing hence why she was startled by it) Plus she also the only other person (other than Kirishima) who has called Bakugo an idiot and didn't die. Though she did get called a dumbass for it. She also slapped him for that which pissed off Bakugo more but before anything else could escalate she ran away and took one earring off and used her quirk only with her legs and got the hell out of there. Dragons are fast since she went from there to her dorm room within a few minutes leaving Bakugo in a hallway.

Now that was a long recap. Then again it was a long chapter so it is to be expected. Now as much as I'd like to get to the story there is one more thing I'd like to talk about. Ever hear about Amino? (THEY ARENT SPONSERING ME) Amino is a great app especially if you are an anime geek, weeb, nerd, or otaku (or anything else I haven't mentioned) and would like to be a part of an huge group about a certain anime you like.

Well if you go onto the My Hero Academia Amino and search for Serenity Shin'nen you should find a page with cool drawings that have an RH in the bottom right hand corner. Its basically like a facebook page or a blog for the story and you can ask questions there and depending on the question I'll answer them as best as possible. Now you don't have to do that. Now that, that's out of the way let's get on with the story.

Chapter 8-Recalibration

(Serenity's point of view)

I sighed as I got ready for school today. I'm a second year and I am really good in all of my classes since all I ever do is study when I'm not working on m equipment. However, with everything that's been going on I didn't really want to go. There was a knock on my door. Papa Aizawa was probably checking up on me again.

"Just a second." I said, letting him know I heard him. I loosely put my red tie on that went with my uniform. Though it annoys me it is part of the uniform. I'm glad I can wear it loosely instead of tightly. It would be such a pain with my fang on my neck. I walked to the door and opened it seeing Papa Aizawa with a bagel and coffee for me.
"Good morning Papa." I said hoping he wasn't too worried about yesterday. However, the look in his eyes told me otherwise.

"How are you feeling Serenity?" He asked. Looks like I worried him too much. Most likely because I hurt Bakugo yesterday during the incident. It's the first time in a long time I actually hurt someone like that. I know my dark side hurt Papa Aizawa to. She doesn't really like him because of his quirk but won't kill him because he calls her by his name. Strange when you think about it that something that's meant to destroy everything, I care about is stopped by a name.

"I'm okay I guess…" I said. Usually, I'm really sore after my dark side takes over since she pushes me past my limits, and sure, I was definitely sore. A little more than usual, but I guess it was because of her that I felt like that.

"Really?" He asked, raising an eyebrow knowing all too well that I really felt like a box of rocks. Though I would never admit it to him. I don't want to stop my training on controlling my dark side, and even though I know he would want me to control it as well he wouldn't hesitate to limit my training, and I don't want him to do that right now.

"Yeah…. I'm as good as I normally am after incidents like that." That was the closest he would get to the actual truth, and he knew that. He sighed in a bit of irritation, and then gave me a serious look.

"Good. Since you're doing alright then you won't mind if I change your day up a little." I gave him a look after he said that. Was he really going to limit my training? Please no.

"How so?" Papa Aizawa smirked slightly

"I'm going to increase your training." He said, making me breath a sigh of relief. In fact I was actually getting excited about that.

"Really?!" I asked hoping I wasn't dreaming.

"Yes, you need to get used to having others around you, and since yesterday Bakugo knows about your quirk he will be spending more time around you." He said, crushing my excitement completely.

"You're kidding right Papa?" Please tell me you're kidding, please tell me you're kidding

"No, he's not kidding lizard." Bakugo said standing. He was standing on the other side of the hallway looking extremely irritated at the situation. This went from a dream to a god damn nightmare.

"Lizard?" I asked a little confused.

"He gives nicknames to everyone he doesn't like." Papa Aizawa said

"Oh" I said with a little relief. At least the feelings were mutual.
"Well, I have to go to class and since I'm a year ahead of you I don't think I'll see you much." I said

"Second year?" Bakugo repeated a little surprised.
"I thought you were new here." I chuckled a little.

"No, I just don't hang out around people. You already know the reason why."

"Tch, idiot." Bakugo said shocking me a bit.

"Why am I an idiot this time?" I asked, shocking Papa Aizawa a bit.

"Because you are." Bakugo snapped startling me.

"W-whatever. Let's just go to class." I said and walked out of my room.
"I'll see you later Papa." I hugged him slightly as Bakugo started walking towards the school. I walked a couple feet behind him and sighed. This form of training sucks

I didn't notice that Papa Aizawa was smirking slightly as I walked to school. He wasn't too far behind me since he was a teacher at school, so it wasn't weird or anything, but I wondered what his plan is supposed to be with this training. I thought I wasn't supposed to be near others. Then again him and Papa Hizashi both try to get me to make friends. If that's the case, this is the worst person to even try that with.

5 hours later

I had just finished lunch. Bakugo came by my class looking for me, but I left as soon as class ended to one of my hiding spots. It wasn't really hard to hide, everyone liked being in their own little groups and since I don't have any friends, I don't have a group. People have tried to talk to me, but I just politely declined and went to one of my hiding spots.

I find it funny that a girl with bright blue hair can hide with ease here. Bakugo was actually close to my hiding spot though which was weird. Until I saw a small piece of paper.

'Dammit Papa, really?' I thought. Papa Aizawa is definitely not going to make this easy for me. I sighed and waited for Bakugo to turn his back before I got out of my hiding spot. Then went to the door and up towards the roof of the school. Some people eat up here, but not really anyone I know. Plus I can get up to an area no one else goes to.

I opened the door and turned to the side and removed one of my earrings and activated my claws. I looked at the wall where the door to go back inside and smirked. Then I ran and jumped clutching the edge of the rooftop with my claws and pulled myself up. I am still surprised no one else has done this before. I sighed and relaxed only to hear the door below me open.

"Dammit I know I saw her come up here." Said an irritated ash blonde

'Seriously Bakugo, do you ever quit?' I thought and sighed. Guess I'm out of luck on trying to get away from this idiot.

"You don't have to follow me everywhere." I said looking down at him. I'll admit it was funny seeing him jump slightly not expecting me to be where I was at.

"Then how will you get stronger?" He asked irritated

"Its not like hanging out around me makes me stronger." I snapped, seriously is he really this stupid?

"Then why don't you hang out with others?" He said, causing me to shut up since I couldn't come up with a come back for that one. Causing him to smirk.

"Whatever." I sighed and got down from my hiding spot.
"How did you even see me come up here?" I asked curious. I thought for sure his back was turned.

"Your hair gave you away." He said as if I was stupid. Karma is a bitch I swear. I sighed and sat down by the fence and he sat down a couple feet next to me and ate his lunch.
"Aren't you going to eat?" He asked

"No, I already ate." This irritated him a little, but he didn't say anything else. He just focused on his food which made me feel a little bit better that he finally shut up.

After lunch I went to class H support room and changed into my PT gear. It was a bit hot, so I removed the top. I wore a sports bra normally because I was almost always working so no one really got onto me about the uniform.

I picked off where I left off on the recalibration for Bakugo's gauntlets yesterday. The problem was is that it was that I needed to minimize the blast range from the hand. That way he wouldn't get thrown back like I did yesterday. I grabbed a wrench and started working on the inside of the gauntlet and messing with the calibration till it looked right. I went to do the same thing I did yesterday. I filled the gauntlet up with nitroglycerin and put it on my arm. I took off my earrings and went to the target area and got ready to fire a blast when Bakugo entered the room.

"OI, IDIOT WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING?" He snapped at me

"Testing the calibration of your equipment." I said calmly not even looking at him. My focus was on the target.

"DIDN'T YOU DO THAT YESTERDAY AND GET HURT?" He snapped. I let my scales cover my arm and part of my face.

"Yeah, what about it?" I asked

"YOU'RE GONNA GET HURT AGAIN AND HAVE ANOTHER INC-" I pulled the pin from the gauntlet and saw blast hit the target perfectly. My arm hurt slightly from the blast mainly in my shoulder, which was good. The calibration was correct. Smoke filled the room slightly and I smirked as I looked over to Bakugo finally

"What was that you were saying." I spat a little cocky that he was wrong.

"Why you little-" Before he could say anything, I cut him off.

"Your gauntlets are ready for use Bakugo, and also thank you." I said smiling as I walked over to my desk taking off the gauntlet.

"For what?" He asked irritated

"For the training." I said as I withdrew my scales and put my earrings back on, and then went to change back into my uniform since I was finally done with this week's projects.

I felt a little hot though after the recalibration test. Then again it was an explosion that I just set off. Hopefully its nothing more than that.
