Chapter 8

1 year later

Class 2A

It's been a whole year since Natsu and the dragon slayers arrived in this world full of heroes. The group started their second year about a month ago, this year they are preparing to take their provisional license exam.

"Man I can't believe it, today's the day we get our provisional license," Mirio cheered.

Wendy smiled "I know it's really exciting,"

"Yeah, Wendy-chan," Hado cheered.

"Yeah, I'm all fired up now," Natsu cheered loudly with Mirio and Hado joining.

"Gihihi," Gajeel snickered "that exam is going to be a piece of cake,"

"Don't take it lightly Gajeel, I heard the exam is extremely difficult, even third years fail it most times," Tamaki told him.

"Good I want a challenge," Natsu smirked.

It was then their second-year homeroom teacher walked in. "Okay Class, it is time for you to take your provisional licensing exam, I expect all of you to do your best,"

"Yes sir," the class bowed.

"Now grab your cases for your costumes and meet outside," the teacher ordered.

"Yes, sir,"

The students grabbed their cases and headed outside towards them. As they were walking the group of friends was having a typical conversation on the latest events.

"Oh, hey did you guys hear about that sludge villain that All Might beat," Hado asked.

"Yeah, I heard two middle schoolers were involved," Natsu said.

"Yeah, and one of those middle schoolers ran up to save the other who was taken hostage," Wendy added. "And that's when All Might stepped in and saved them,"

"Yeah, that was cool," Mirio smiled.

"Still that middle schooler had some guts jumping in like that," Natsu smirked.

"Yeah, I wish I can meet him," Mirio said.

"Yeah," Hado smiled.

Tamaki signed "can we focus on our stuff first,"

"Yeah, yeah. Don't worry Tamaki. We'll pass," Natsu grinned patting Tamaki on the back. "Just worry about your confidence okay,"

Tamaki turned away depressed "please stop teasing me,"

The group just laughed at Tamaki's shyness.

"Oh, we're here," Natsu looked out the bud window.

The group looked out and saw a huge stadium and they saw other schools arriving as well.

"Wow, so many people here to get their license," Hado said.

"Yeah, I mean UA isn't the only Hero School in the country," Natsu told her. "But that's what makes this fun, lots of new opponents,"

Gajeel smirked and cracked knuckles "these guys better provide a decent challenge,"

"Yeah, I'm so excited," Hado smiled.

"Let's do our best," Wendy said.

"Yeah, I'm all fired up," Natsu confidently smiled.

Mirio pumped his fist in the air "YEAH, LETS GO PLUS ULTRA!" and The entire class except for Tamaki all loudly cheered.

The group and their class now all dressed in their costumes were now in a large auditorium-like room, with the other hero schools. It was then a tired blonde man in a suit appeared on the stage.

"Okay I'm Yokumiru Mera and I'll be explaining the provisional exam to all of you," Mera said in a tired voice.

"Why does he sound so bored," Tamaki sweatdropped.

"He has that 'i'm too tired for this shit' look," Gajeel said

Mera then took out a target device and ball "For this exam, you will all wear these targets and you must make them visible so hiding it under your shoes or anything like that, and you will use these balls to hit the target, each student will get 3 targets and 6 balls, and you will only get through by eliminating two people," he explained. "Oh if you are taken out by two people, the one who dealt the finishing blow will get the victory,"

"Oh sounds like fun," Natsu smirked.

"So we just beat up two people, too easy," Gajeel smirked as well.

"You guys always get way too excited," Tamaki's sweatdropped.

"And another thing, only 100 of you are allowed to get through the first round," Mera finished and this earned a loud wave of shock in the crowd.

"But there are only a 1000 people here," Wendy said. "And that means only less than 10% will pass,"

"So since there are too many people, they're thinning out the numbers," Natsu said.

"So it's going to play out like the entrance exam," Mirio smiled "Wow sounds exciting,"

Mera finished explaining the rules to everyone and it was then everyone was handed their balls and targets. "Now that everyone has their targets and balls the exam will begin now,"

"Ehh," It was then the room started to rumble.

"What's happening," Natsu said.

"What the hell," Gajeel shouted.

"An earthquake," Wendy and Hado held each other.

"No, it's something else," Tamaki said.

It was then the walls to the room they were in all collapsed, and everyone was in shock. They were now in a large stadium-like arena, it even had different sectors comparable to USJ, there was a factory area, a city area, and an open field.

"Now use your quirks however you like, I hope you find the terrain to all your likings," Mera announced "I'm so tired, anyway get in your desired positions and we will begin," The schools all scattered leaving UA in the center.

"What should we do," one of their classmates said.

"I think it's best we stay in a group," another said.

It was then Gajeel went off on his own.

"Gajeel," one called.

"I'm better off on my own, don't get in my way," Gajeel shouted as he ran off.

"I'm going on my own," Natsu said.

"Natsu," Tamaki said.

"My quirk can't work well if I'm in a group, so it's best if I'm on my own," Natsu said, but he then smiled "But don't worry we'll pass I know it," Natsu then ran off on his own well.

"Geez, those two," Tamaki signed.

Hado smiled "I mean we knew this kind of thing would happen,"

Wendy nodded "Yeah, it's in their nature,"

Mirio smiled "Yeah, let's do this, we'll pass and get out hero licenses,"

"YEAH!" the class cheered.

Mirio, Tamaki, Hado, and Wendy, and the rest of their class then took off to get in position for the exam. As they ran they heard a loud beep indicating the test has begun, as Wendy and her class ran she felt a lightbulb go off.

"Wait, I have a bad feeling," Wendy said.

"What's wrong Wendy-chan," Hado asked.

"Yeah, is something up," Mirio asked.

"I can feel others coming at us, and it's a large group," Wendy told them.

"Eh, are you sure," Tamaki asked.

Wendy nodded "and I had another thought, I think out of all the schools we're the ones at the biggest disadvantage,"

"What do you mean," Hado raised an eyebrow.

"All of the schools here, we know nothing about them but I have a feeling they know about us," Wendy answered.

It was then Tamaki had a realization "The Sports Festival,"

Mirion dropped his fist in his palm "Right since it was a live broadcast,"

"Everyone here is going to come after us," a classmate shouted.

"Eh, that's not fair," a female student complained.

"So what do we do Wendy-chan," Hado asked.

"We just have to do our best to defend ourselves," Wendy answered, and after she said this group of students from different schools jumped in.

"A quirk that allows you to manipulate wind around her body, interesting, but." the student smirked.

"It ends here for you,"

The army of opposing students all threw their balls at Wendy and her class, in the response each student with quirks useful for defense protected each other. Wendy then jumped in the air and took a deep breath.

SKY DRAGON ROAR

The roar of wind pushed all the opposing students away or to the ground. Wendy gracefully landed on her feet.

"Heh," the opposing leader smirked "I knew this wouldn't be easy,"

"Noya! Do It!" the leader shouted.

"Got it, Daichi," Noya smirked. Noya then put both his arms forward.

"Everyone, get clear," Wendy shouted.

Noya then started firing powerful air cannons at the UA students pushing all the students away from each other. It was then another student activated their quirk destroying the ground.

"Everyone," Wendy called out as she was pushed away by the air cannon.

"Wendy-chan," Hado called as she was blown away.

"Damn it," Tamaki said.

"Oh no! This is bad," Mirio flailed.

Wendy was now separated from everyone in her class, "Oh no, we all got separated. What am I supposed to do,"

"No, stay calm Wendy, you just have to do this on your own for now. For so long you always looked at Natsu's and them's backs. I need to be strong on my own to,"

Wendy was brought out of her thoughts, when another group of students appeared before her, all ready to attack her. Wendy grew a determined look on her face, and began to gather wind around her arms.

"And that moment is now,"

The students and Wendy then started to charge at each other ready to battle.

Elsewhere in the arena, Gajeel was walking through a factory area. In the distance, he can hear a loud explosion from the center arena.

"What the hell was that?" Gajeel raised an eyebrow, but he quickly shrugged it off. "Hmm, seriously, I found no one to fight so far,"

"Then how about we entertain you," a voice shouted.

Gajeel looked up and saw a group of students dressed weirdly as ninjas for some reason. "What the hell, who the fuck are you guys?"

"We are students of,"

Gajeel wasn't listening however all he heard was 'blah, blah, blah,'

Gajeel then scoffed "Hey you gonna babble or fight me,"

"As always UA is full of arrogance," the leader growled "Take him out,"

"Yes sir,"

All the students threw their weapons at Gajeel, Gajeel saw they were all nails, bolts and they instantly increased in size.

"So you can change the size of objects you throw, not bad," Gajeel jumped and dodged."But,"

Gajeel picked one of the huge nails and started to eat it.

"Eh, he's eating it,"

Gajeel burped and wiped his mouth and smirked "You in my element kids, thanks for the grub,"

"Damn it, take him down,"

Gajeel took a deep breath

IRON DRAGON ROAR

"Block it,"

"Yes sir,"

Two students fired blasts of water to counter the roar.

"Sorry, but that's not good enough," Gajeel smirked. As Gajeel said, the two attacks were not enough to stop his breath attack and the two blockers were sent flying.

"Damn it, this guy is a monster,"

It was then one of the ninjas was grabbed by a large Octopus tentacle.

"Eh,"

The ninja was then thrown away, and Tamaki appeared next to Gajeel.

"Gajeel, you okay," Tamaki asked.

Gajeel scoffed "What are you doing here,"

Tamaki sweat dropped "I came to help you, it's bad if we split off on our own,"

"Hmm, I don't need help but guess I got no choice," Gajeel scoffed.

"Huh, why are you always like this," Tamaki signed "I knew I should have stayed with Hado and Wendy, but they insist I come and help you, I want to go home,"

"We'll go home after the exam, for now, let's kick these guys' asses," Gajeel yelled at his depressed classmate.

Tamaki nodded and adjusted his nod and tried to show a more confident look.

"Don't underestimate us UA,"

"Gehehe," Gajeel gave the 'come on' gesture "Then come on, show me what you got,"

"Fine,"

The ninjas then charged at two.

"Remember what Fatgum taught us," Tamaki said.

"Yeah, Yeah, I'm the shield, you're the spear, let's go," Gajeel shouted.

Tamaki nodded "Right,"

Natsu was currently in the city area by himself and he heard nearby explosions making him smirk.

"Heh, looks like the others are having fun," Natsu smiled. "Guess I need to get in on the action,"

"Well you won't have to wait long UA," someone called.

"Huh," Natsu looked over and saw a large group of students in front of him.

"We'll be your opponent, Natsu Dragneel," the leader declared.

"Oh, I'm surprised you guys know my name," Natsu smirked.

"Of course, you made quite the impact at the Sports Fest last year," the leader said.

Natsu cracked his knuckles "So I take it you want to fight,"

"Take him out,"

"Yes sir,"

Two students fired a blast of water at Natsu, but the dragon slayer took a deep breath.

FIRE DRAGON ROAR

The impact of the attacks created a large steam cloud, blinding all of them.

"So it's true, he does have a fire quirk comparable to Endeavor,"

Natsu smirked "Well, you can say that, but I feel my flames are stronger than his, want to test my theory,"

"Don't get cocky UA."

The enemy students then all charged at Natsu and the dragon slayer simply smirked. Natsu was easily handling the multitude of opponents coming his way. Natsu continued to dodge, block, and knock out all the students trying to fight him, none of the students' balls making contact with his targets.

"Is that all you guys got," Natsu smirked confidently. "Come on,"

The students glared at him "Cocky bastard,"

"Hit him with all you got,"

"Yes sir,"

All the students fired their quirks at Natsu, but he again dodged the attacks with no damage on him.

"Damn it, no matter what we do, we can't hit him,"

"He's too fast,"

Natsu smiled "you guys all done," Natsu then started to power up "Cause it's my turn now,"

PHANTOM MENACE

Natsu blinked seeing portions of the force of students being knocked, and to his shock, the attacker landed right next to him.

"MIRIO! WHAT THE HELL!" Natsu yelled "Those guys are my opponent,"

Mirio rubbed the back of his head "Oh sorry, there are so many of them I thought you were trouble,"

"Like hell I am, I could take all these guys out in one shot," Natsu shouted.

"Oh really, why didn't you though," Mirio asked.

"Because I wanted to see what they were made of," Natsu told him.

"Oh, I see," Mirio smiled "Sorry about that,"

Natsu signed "Alright, I didn't need it but thanks,"

Mirio gave a thumbs up "No Prob, that's what friends are for,"

"So how about the others," Natsu asked.

"Oh, Hado is helping Wendy, while Tamaki went to go help Gajeel," Mirio answered.

"Is Tamaki going to be okay," Natsu asked, knowing Tamaki's kind of cowardly nature.

Mirio smiled "Don't worry, he'll be fine I know he will,"

"Alright, then," Natsu responded. It was then another group of students behind them.

"Oh No, a pincer attack," Mirio said shocked.

Natsu smirked "Don't worry about it, we can handle this. I got the ones in front you get the ones in the back,"

Mirio smiled "Got it,"

"Lets go Lemillion," Natsu said.

"Right let's pass this thing together, Salamander," Mirio smiled.

The two fist-bumped and prepared for battle, Mirio permeated into the ground shocking the students.

"He disappeared,"

"Where,"

"Right here," Mirio popped out in the back row.

"What,"

Mirio quickly knocked out the entire back row of enemy students' single Handely.

Natsu smirked "He's gotten better, now it's my turn,"

"Don't get cocky UA,"

Natsu smirked and powered up "Yeah, but one attack is all I need to take you guys out,"

The students all glared at him with anger. "Cocky Bastard,"

Natsu continued to power up fire swirling around him.

DRAGON SLAYER SECRET ART CRIMSON LOTUS EXPLODING FLAME BLADE

Natsu then threw his fist forward creating a torrent of flames heading towards the group of shocked students. The attack created a large explosion hitting all the students that were facing Natsu. Once the smoke cleared all the students Natsu were all knocked out shocking the group Mirio was fighting.

"He took them all out,"

"With just one attack,"

Natsu took a breath standing over the defeated students. And from what the other students saw flames surrounding Natsu.

"He's a monster,"

The rest of the enemy students were all then knocked out by Mirio.

"That was rude, he's my friend." Mirio punched the final guy.

Mirio then walked up "Damn beating them all with one attack, as always you're amazing Natsu,"

Natsu laughed "Thanks Mirio, you were awesome too," seeing all the students Mirio beat with one punch "You took each of your guys out with one punch,"

"Still, not as amazing as you," Mirio laughed.

Natsu smiled "So how about we hit these guys targets head to the rest area,"

Mirio gave a thumbs up "You got it, I hope the others passed as well,"

"You know they did, they're all strong," Natsu told him.

"Yeah, you got that right," Mirio smiled.

"Let's go,"

Here is chapter 8 and part 1 of Pro-License Arc, how do you like it. Did my best on it. for updates on Sharingan no Natsu those will be long updates since I need to figure out how I need to handle all the arcs. Anyway be sure to review and I will see you next time.
