A/N: OK OK! I KNOW! I know I talked all big about how I would get back into the flow of writing/uploading and I'm sorry I didn't! I just procrastinate too much! Lol. I won't really ever have a schedule for updates, they'll just come out whenever I can release em. Soooooooooooo, yeah. If that annoys you, thank you for checking out this story, and I hope you find a better one. If it doesn't, by all means, stay! STILL NOT ABANDONING THE STORY, DON'T WORRY ABOUT THAT! Anyway, enjoy this chapter!
The road to school for Izuku was always filled with the preparation for misery, for he was the only quirkless student at Aldera. So because he was quirkless, he was automatically disliked, and cast aside from everyone else who had the one thing that he didn't. A quirk. Why did he get treated differently just because he lacked something that he had no control over?
'It's not fair...'
A kind voice shook Izuku out of his thoughts. "Thank you for helping me cross the street young man, very few people have respect for the elderly these days." The old woman bowed a bit to Izuku, to which Izuku put his hands up in front of him.
"It's no problem at all! It was just the right thing to do, so you don't need to thank me." She smiled and started walking away from him, leaving Izuku to continue his walk to school alone. He walked with a quick pace so as to not be late to school, he didn't want to get in trouble for something as trivial as that. The wind was soft but a bit cold as it blew around him, reminding him ever so faintly of the fact that he has never had someone to walk to school with.
A voice, clearly filled with malice, interrupted his quiet moment. "OY, DEKU!"
Izuku flinched. Dread already consuming his being.
Oh, that's right. It wasn't that he had no one to walk with, it was that he had no friends to walk with.
Izuku slowly turned around to the source of the voice, a sad and empty look in his eyes. He was hoping that today would be one of those days where nothing bad happened before the school day started, but it seemed the world found satisfaction from his suffering
...
Itsuka was currently barely hanging on the branch of a tree, and was reaching for a young ginger cat which had somehow gotten stuck in said tree. It didn't really seem like that cat was stuck though since it was staring at Itsuka with bored eyes, as if it found this unamusing and wanted Itsuka to leave.
Two girls from Itsuka's class were standing next to a young boy who was watching the whole rescue operation take place with worried eyes. "Please get down Mr. I Like Fish!, It's not safe for you to be up there!"
Itsuka had to hold in a laugh, did this kid really name his cat Mr. I Like Fish? She shook her head and focused back on the task on hand. She didn't have much time left before school started and she still had to get this kitten down from the tree. She hung still for a second and thought of what she could do, she looked at how far the kitten was from her, then at the distance to the ground, as well as testing how sturdy her branch was. After having come up with a makeshift plan, she went over it in her head quickly to make sure she knew what she was going to be doing.
Itsuka got into position on top of her branch and looked straight at the kitten that was now sleeping on a different branch. She braced herself and jumped towards it, earning gasps from her friends. She caught the kitten in one of her hands and clung it to her chest. Then enlarged the other, aiming her enlarged hand down at the ground to break the force of the fall. She landed on her hand and then reverted it back to normal without hurting herself or the kitten in the process. The boy ran up to her to take the kitten and check on it, after making sure that the kitten wasn't harmed, the boy said thank you and left the scene.
Itsuka smiled and dusted herself off, not that she really needed to dust anything off since she never really got dirty to begin with. It was just one of those things that you did after a job well done. She then turned to her two friends who had approached her with smiles also present on their faces. Their names were Sukami Dorise, a girl with soft long silver hair accompanied by bright orange eyes, and a bit of a teasing personality. As well as Nawara Minemeki, a girl with short unkempt ocean blue hair and two different colored eyes. A light blue eye and a red eye. She was a bit laid back and went with the flow on almost everything, including Sukami's teasing. She went with the teasing more often than not. Too often actually. Why did people like teasing her so much? She would never understand it.
Itsuka collected her school bag from Nawara's hands, and started walking with the two towards their school. Sukami, being the girl she is, started her teasing. She put her hands together behind her back, leaned her body forward a bit, and looked at Itsuka with an innocent smile. "Hey Itsuka, nice job saving the kitten back there." She then grew a wicked smirk. "Though your skirt went up and revealed your panties, pretty sure the kid wasn't as worried about his kitten as much when that happened."
Nawara smiled as well, "He was definitely staring at you."
Itsuka grew a small blush and an irritated look on her face. "Are you two lying?"
"Are we?" Sukami answered innocently.
Itsuka raised a fist threateningly in front of her and grew a smirk of her own. "If you two don't tell me the truth, I swear I'll make you stay after school to clean up the whole classroom."
Nawara, being the laid-back girl she was, immediately stopped smiling. She put on a poker face and pinned the blame on Sukami. "Sukami's lying, I was just bored and had nothing better to talk about so I aided her only a tiny bit. A tiny bit. A tiny, tiny bit, nothing that deserves punishment though!"
Sukami then smiled even wider and looked towards Nawara. "Oh come on! We could have kept this up for a long time and she never would have known the turth! Why would you ruin my fun!?"
Nawara, still keeping up her poker face retorted, "If your teasing involves me doing unnecessary work, then I'll happily throw you under the bus. You're an immature child. Your parents can't even raise their kids right. Go disappear for all I care. Your teasing is horrible anyway."
The two girls sweatdropped, despite being laid-back, Nawara could really use her words to deal some serious damage. But she never meant any real harm when she talked about them. They hoped. She wasn't serious, right? They decided to spend the rest of their time walking in silence.
...
Itsuka stood in front of her classroom door and took a deep breath to get ready for the day and what she would have to do to keep the class in line this time. She could already hear tons of obnoxious laughter and outrageous commotion coming from the other side of the door, something that she had gotten used to as the years flew by. Her class was known as the "Delinquent Class", because as the name suggests, they were the worst class in the whole school. They caused trouble around the school, they had grades that weren't the best, and they did whatever they wanted with the teachers. It wasn't that every single person in the class was bad, just the boys. The girls were the better people in the class, but Itsuka was the only one who tried to keep her class in check. She wished her friends and the other girls would help her, but they didn't want to be the buzzkills of the class.
Itsuka hated being classified as a delinquent but she just had to endure it for a little while longer until she got to UA, then she would be able to start a fresh new page and work her way to becoming a hero. Itsuka stood there for a second and steeled herself to get through the day. She just had to take this slowly, day by day, and it would be over before shew knew it. Izuku's determined face briefly flashed through her mind and motivated her to open the door and step inside the class... Only for a firework to fly past her head and explode with a loud bang on the wall behind her.
Itsuka froze midstep as her brain furiously tried to process what just happened. Sukami and Nawara never aided any of the classs actions, but they enjoyed viewing them unfold. Having beaten her to class, they noticed her at the door and the two girls both knew that this was a chance they couldn't miss, both moving to pounce on the opportunity. Sukami took the lead, "Hey Itsuka! I just finished telling the girls about how you saved that kitten from a tree this morning!"
The commotion in the class died in a heartbeat, and heads turned ever so slowly to gaze upon Itsuka's irritated face and crossed arms. Nawara added onto Sukami's outburst with a smile, "You're all in trouble now."
The boys started whispering to each other, even though everyone could hear them because of how quiet the class was. "Oh shoot, I didn't even notice she was here."
"You think she knows about the firework?"
"Didn't you hear it go off, who wouldn't?"
"You better hope she's in a good mood today or we're all getting chopped."
"Are you kidding me? Look at her face, we aren't getting out of this one."
Itsuka released a breath that she was holding and relaxed her face. She was about to just scold them and not hand chop the back of their necks today, since she was feeling good after saving a kitten that morning. Till one of the boys asked for pain.
"Man-hands saved a kitten? Yeah right, her hands would probably crush the thing."
Sukami and Nawara stopped smiling, the whispering vanished, and Itsuka's face darkened, then sprouted the devil's grin. The world went dark and the boys could see the word death right next to Itsuka's raised fist. Not even All Might could save the boys from the hand-chopping now. Itsuka wouldn't normally use her quirk at school, but they asked for it today.
...
Itsuka stood at the front of the class with her arms crossed over her chest again, tension clearly not as evident on her face. She had calmed down and was surveying her work. All the boys had their heads down on their desks in pain, with the company of smoke coming from the back of their necks. Itsuka had made sure not to knock them out but to make sure there was enough pain in the ferocious blow to make a statement.
"Do you guys even realize how dangerous it is to set off fireworks inside a building! Do you ever even think before doing anything? What if the building had caught on fire! You're all to stay in your seats until the teacher arrives and class starts!" Itsuka stomped over to her seat and sat down, surveying all the boys as she did. If anyone dared make a move, she would make sure they didn't get away with it.
Sukami was trying her hardest to hold in a laugh, lest she end up on Itsuka's bad side too. "Way to go Big-Sis Itsuka! You've taught the boys a lesson yet again today!" She flashed a toothy smile and flicked both her thumbs up in front of her. Her friend had gotten that great nickname from her constant fights with the boys in the class. She didn't hate it, but she didn't enjoy it too much either. So Sukami thought it was safe enough to call her that whenever she wanted to.
Itsuka didn't respond and just kept surveying the boys' movements, until the teacher came in and school started for the day. This, in a nutshell, was Itsuka's every school day. It wasn't very enjoyable, and was tiring quite frankly, but if no one else was going to put an end to the boys' schemes. Then she would take up the task. She unfolded her arms and relaxed in her seat so she could pay attention to the lesson for today. She was still wary of the boys because someone was bound to mess up the lesson at some point. But for now, the school day would start off well enough.
Itsuka looked out the window at the fluffy clouds in the bright sky.
'I wonder if Midoriya's school days are as "exciting" as mine.'
